I was in Joshua tree when my transmission started to slip. No one would look at the car they said it would be a week before they could even look at it. I drove 30 minutes with my blinkers on to Palm Springs to get a rental car. While at the airport renting a car I finally got Automotive Service Center and Repair (ASCR) on the phone and he took care of me. He stopped what he was doing to test drive and add trasmission fluid. I thought the car would be dead but after putting some trasmission fluid in there I was able to white knuckle back to San Diego. I am eternally grateful.

I was so impressed with this lil shop the owner Javier couldnt have been nicer and he took the time to figure out what the noise wasI went there because my car has something rattling in the back and on right rear sidemy regular mechanic had already looked everywhere to no avail. He said i needed it on a lift.Javier the owner ( young hardworking quiet type guy with a nice family) He personally put my car up on the lift and looked everywhere he could. Inthe enda good 20 min later Hesays no charge! since he didnt work on it . iHowever i did tip him for his time and honesty and i will go there again when i need work on my mercedes! I appreciate a good honest hard working family man trying to earn a living to support his family. Give him your business( honesty, morals and values working there) he might not be the bookkeeper but hes a great old fashioned businessman whos handshake is his word and still means something this day n age. I highly recommend this place!

This guy is for keeps. I had a problem with my 2015 Mercedes Benz Itasca Navion. The brake switch needed replacing. He helped me diagnose the problem over the phone. Even though I am from Houston Javier did not take advantage of my situation. He provided honest estimates right over the phone. He does business the old fashioned way. Gladly chose this Automative Service for all sorts of brake work such as the brake shoes, wheel cylinders, resurfaced rotors with new brake pads. Only complaint a little too slow paced but can’t rush perfection. Will definitely keep this owner’s business in speed dial for my daily driver as she tends to need only regular maintenance as she is a FIFTEEN YEAR old car.

Honest estimates and great work on brakes I brought in my own parts for pads and shoes for drums but bought rear pads instead of shoes but he still cleaned my drums and adjusted my shoes for free since I paid front pad change with my parts.

If you have nice rims on your car or truck do not take it here they had my truck 2 hours and managed to scratch one of my rims all the way around and didnt say anything about it

I just had my best auto repair experience ever. Choose Automotive Service Center based on other ratings. Needed front brakes. Was told on the phone it would take 1.5 hours for pads and turn down rotors. Got there a 8AM drove out at 9:30 AM. Family run business. They will answer all your questions and explain while showing you the old parts. Very happy to deal with a local business.

HONEST FAMILY RUN BUSINESS. Javier looked after us so well. We had driven down from Canada and our car was in need of some TLC. He gave us a fair quote before he started work and stuck to that price, even though the job took longer than he had quoted. We were in and out in one day. SO FAST. Technician was communicative, professional, and showed me my old parts, and what was worn/leaking. I will definitely be going back here if I need more work done.I had trouble with my car idling or plain stalling. Therefore I looked up a local mechanics and found this shop in the area, took the car in for a diagnostic inspection. He called me within two hours with what he had found, gave me an estimate of what it would cost. By the time everything was over it, ended up being cheaper than the estimate and what I thought I’d need to pay.

I rate Javier a 10 out of 10. My key was getting stuck and 2 other shops were going to replace the ignition cylinder for $300 which would have been wasted as it was an electrical problem that the part was discontinued and Javier cleaned the part and so far its working fine. I believe most shops would have stopped when the part was not available. The charge for this plus checking my brakes and replacing my wiper blades was $120. Thank you so much Javier.

Diagnosed the problem and fixed our truck fast, with short notice. We had previously been to a different shop who couldnt figure out the issue, and since we had driven down from Canada a no fix wasnt in the cards. This shop saved the day and the rest of the trip! And it was super helpful that they were open on the weekend! Highly recommended if you need honest to goodness service.

Excellent service. The bill for the job came in under the quoted amount. Job came in on time and we were very happy. Customer is an out of town master mechanic who did not have any tools so needed to outsource repair on ML350 water pump. Most reasonable and fair price in town. We did several phone calls for quotes they offered the most reasonable price (we check on the cost for parts.) The phone conversations were a little difficult, but dont let that scare you off. The work and service was good.

Efficient and very professional people

My experience at ASC was great. They were very fair and I was told the water pump in my car would be replaced and the car would be ready at a certain time and unlike all of my other experiences with local desert mechanics it was done an hour early. They text me, I went and picked my car up and was on my way. I was born in PS and can tell you from first hand experience these guy are the best. Give them a try.

A friend had recommended Automotive Service Center to me, my check engine light was on and I needed to have it smogged. Pep Boys wanted to replace several things to get the light off for an outrageous price. So I went to Javier and he fixed it for a really great price and I got it smogged, no problem! Its hard to find a mechanic that you can trust. I got a real good feeling about these guys. Its a good feeling knowing you arent going to get ripped off, I will be back for sure!!!
