Now this is a gas station that has a lot going on car wash Auto Repair hard liquor sales overall they do what they do very well and keeps everything running smoothly so if you need a car wash a little stiff drink or repaired Downtown Shell is a place for you but remember they stop serving liquor at 12 a.m.

My car broke down as I was traveling across the interstate with my wife and 4 kids and Jasper was eager to help me. The shell service center helped me greatly and put a priority on my service and were very concerned about doing it correctly and I thank them for that.

Really its the only game in town open 24 hours for fuel. Services are OK.

Ive been taking my cars there for gas, washes, detailing, smog checks and service for years, and their new mini-mart and improved waiting area makes it all that much more enjoyable.

Took my car in for smog. Tech failed visual inspection based on 1 vacuum line that had surface cracks. Was not even leaking and car had no codes or engine light on. All readiness tests were also completed . Charged me $42.00 and wants to charge me again if I bring it back.

Very very disappointed with this facility, I get were going through a rough situation, I travel from cathedral Cityto the North end of Palm springs had to go to the bathroom was unable to use the bathroom there I said no problem let me just go around the corner and find one Ill be right back. They said that would be fine on my way back they phoned to ask if I could come back at a later time, I was unable to so Jasper then hung up I called back to let Jasper know that that would be okay I would see him then only to have him pick up the phone and hang it up as he knew who was calling very disappointed

One of the overnight employees is almost always cranky and rude.

After paying for a repair, I still have the exact same problem that they said they fixed. I called, but they said that I would need to purchase a new battery from them for them to even look at the problem that i already paid for. Dont work with these people if you want an honest repair that works.

I drove over 40 min one way to get my service done at this shop; yes, theyre that good. In fact, I drove here 3 times to bring all 3 of my cars for service. George and the rest of the staff provide exceptional customer service. I have a choice to go anywhere but I wont go anywhere else I get honest feedback about my cars and they provide the best recommendations to get service done right. I highly recommend you go visit downtown shell. Bonus: they have a car wash on site..get your car serviced and washed on one block.

I had my smog test done here. Although my car passed, they didnt electronically get it to DMV and I didnt know it. I switched PO boxes around then & so the notice wasnt forwarded. My car was towed after traffic stop by police & it cost me $750 to get it back. Otherwise, theyre great!

This place has a new look. It recently opened a bigger store and offers a little more then before. Its cleaner and seems less shadier then before. They also quit selling drug paraphernalia so thats a plus. Overall its a nice upgrade to one of the few places to get gas after 10 in Palm Springs.

Trying to get cars smuggled is challenging as they have problems getting a tech. Jasper is a good manager and tries hard. He is a great people handler.

Stay away. Dont go there. Was charged for a visual inspection smog test. $50. They changed some generic hoses they cut from stock. $100 for maybe 15 minutes. Was charged again for another visual inspection smog test. This place is a rip. Dont get sucked in by their low ball smog test quote.

This place quickly going downhill, will not come back!Morning cashier asleep at the register, a bit clueless and doesnt speak English. But the bigger problem is the guy answering the phone and taking your case. Immediately you sense his stress and unhappiness as you interact with him. Abnormal and erratic behavior... oh and speedy, I sense he may be on drugs.I came here for a smog test as advertised online. First, when you sign the paperwork he ignores you as he walks away from you, out of his tiny office without giving you instructions. Will it take an hour? 30 minutes? Should I wait around, or go and come back in the afternoon? Almost as if he does it on purpose in order to get you to ask him questions. Once you ask questions, thats when he starts belittling you and treating you as if you should know better.When the car was ready I asked him a question about the bill, as the non-English speaking cashier was charging me more than what he had quoted me. A simple question. For that he raised his voice again, began disrespecting me, says, you should know this, youve been here before. Interesting enough, the last smog test I had done at this station was four years ago. I explained to him Im not familiar with the day-to-day operations and fees they charge at this station. He raised his voice again, continued responding with rage and a sarcastic laugh at the same time. Scary.Im hoping the owner reads these reviews for the better of his/her business. I cant imagine why any business would trust such a despot and arrogant employee to be the welcoming committee for his local customers.

This was always my go to for an honest auto repair job at a reasonable price. New service writer is a real piece of work, just intrested in making sure his commission check is as large as possible.Its a shame that one person can ruin a 25 year relationship with some great mechanics.

Very knowledgeable and helpful... had a few issues with my car.... Jasper was very professional and kept in contact with myself letting me know what was happening. They were quick and efficient... not over or upselling selling... I have an XK Jaguar and have no issues letting them take care of my auto needs.

Maybe they should think about caring for their car better before bashing a service facility because they can’t pass a car with a filthy tailpipe. They just measure the emissions and these customers are blaming the tester? Because it didn’t pass? That’s nuts.Jasper is the service manager. He is real easy going. He will tell you exactly what you are looking at in the way of repairs and the costs BEFORE you even spend a dime. If there are changes, he will call you for approval.They stick to BAR standards so you never get price popped like lots of other places still do. Hey, they service my vehicles, and they run great. ASE technicians here that know what they are doing. Standard pricing on labor and they don’t jack the parts real hard like many do down on Ramon near the airport. Watch your pockets. Had car problems. Wanted to charge me just for looking at my car $100.He said I had to wait two days. Unfriendly. I won’t even stop for gas there.Went to another place. Got my car. For $45.

Wont be back here. Someone doing dope in the bathroom. Everything and I mean everything is sticky at this place. Nothing to drink or snack inside if you can get inside. This is not a convenient store at all. The guy at the register was not very nice to me or other customers. Good luck with your store.

Way to go Gwe ware at P springs for the weekend, my truck over heated, Down town shell was the closest Gas station with a Micanic shop to the Casino we ware at.It was Saturday and they make it happen to find water pump and it was installed before the end of the day, they also offered us a small tuck to move around the city and show us where to go around the city to have fun.The owner was very professional and the staff also very friendly.Tank you G for making our weekend fun and for repairing my truck.

Shady generic gas station but with Shell branding!

The attendant that wheres the beard and works on Sunday and older Arab man likes to spit and kick at women I was physically assaulted by him when I went in to get gas unbenounced to me I needed a gas can when I ran out of gas and it was the only gas station for miles around I ended up getting kicked in my private parts and spit in my face twice by the tenant that works there nothing was done about it called the police they wouldnt talk to him he had no film he said to show what happened he blatantly tried to hide it and nothing was done about it another disrespectful Arab that has no respect for women in our country

Their repair shop tries to fleece you with nebulous recommendations!we were recommended to come here to fix our car engine while it had a problem on a road trip. they quoted us a completely unnecessary solution with ambiguous scope, that could cost more than the value of the car itself. this tactic is designed to make you commit to a larger repair than you need. they may have ended up fixing it properly, but the approach is dishonest

Only use the car wash - not such a great job, but if you are in a pinch and need a wash on the way out of town, it will work. issue is poor drying job. best car wash in town is further down S Palm Canyon, way better attention to detail.

This so called smog shop is junk the little closet that they call and office is garbage. The bathroom is even worst bugs and just nasty no look on the door two people walk in the period of 7 mins. Waited 2 hours for them to tell me one of my hoses that was about the size of my pinky finger was dry .. not damage work fine just dry ... So i paid 43 dollor when they said 35. So i went to autozone got a 2 dollor hose and came backthey were very rude... I dont care if they paid me two smog it i will never go back. Thanks for nothing

Convenient location

I took my car in to have it smog tested the other day. Unfortunately after an hour and a half wait I was told it had failed. Was given an estimate of over 450.00 dollars to replace a couple hoses to solve my issue.I took my car to Chuys Auto and had the same repairs done for 200,00 and change...Very SHADY business there Guys, wouldnt even come there for air now!!!
