Welcoming, eclectic store with unique items at various price points (from $1 to $50+.) The volunteers were so kind and took the time to explain the story behind the different gift items. Definitely check this place if youre looking for a special, memorable gift!
Colorful fun gifts and things! You gotta check it out!
The United Nations Association Gift Shop at 553 Emerson is a real find in downtown Palo Alto. It has lots of interesting arts & crafts reasonably priced from around the world, especially at holiday times. Wonderful baskets & toys & jewelry & carvings & change purses & much more. Lots of kids books, to. My favorites are the first 100 words series which I have purchased for Polish, Italian & German families. Their greeting cards are lovely as well. Stop in & support a good cause.Barb
This is one of my Bay area favorites! The United Nations Association gift shop has artisanal handicrafts from developing nations all over works.. Scarves from Vietnam and India, jewellery from Turkey and Africa, small handicrafts from Kenya, Niger, Haiti and so much. The best part is that, all the employees are volunteers and all profits go to supporting the United Nations and UNICEF. Oh, did I mention the prices are totally within budget? Really nice place.
An adorable little arts and crafts store run by volunteers. Has authentic, relatively low priced goods, art and trinkets from around the world. I bought a few gifts for my moms upcoming birthday as all the goods help small communities around the world. All proceeds from the store go to UNICEF.
This place is amazing. I found the most beautiful and unique alpaca stuffed animals from Inspired Peru. Their products are very different and super soft
Really friendly staff and an awesome assortment of fair trade products from around the world. Just randomly stumbled upon this shop while wandering around town.
A hidden gem. Loads of beautiful handicrafts, art, etc. from around the world, collected by knowledgable people and sold at low prices to promote a good cause. I especially like the fuzzy llamas, the finger puppets from Peru, and the metal bicycle figurines.
Great selection of books for kids, and a nice place to visit and browse. Thank you for keeping this store alive!
Great curated collection.
Eh. Not very friendly workers
