Posted this under the shops new branding but repasting😊******Cute little shop, very nice staff. Love the texture of the gelato here--just a small cup hits the spot. My go-to wherever Im in the area is half/half: blackberry cabernet sorbet and stracciatella. So good!! Crunchy chocolate bits, and then the tart wine-y flavor is an amazing contrast.Honey lavender is creamy and pleasant--I much prefer this subdued lavender smell than the version around the corner.

Good flavors but pathetically small portions. A size large would be a small elsewhere. There is a similar shop on University Ave.(about 2 blocks away) which has much larger portions for the money.

New branding and management who decided to double (!) prices since 2019. I used to get an espresso here for something around $1.9-2. Now it’s almost $4. Same with ice cream.

My favorite ice cream place in Palo Alto for 30 years. So many others have come and gone in the surrounding area, and some of those were the hot spot with super long lines for a while, but this place has outlasted them all because of their great selection, taste, AND value. Usually over 30 flavors in stock, and a small cup split into 2 flavors for less than $5 is usually all you need. But your first time, or on some hot day when you really deserve it, upgrade to the 3 flavors (

Awesome gelato and really fresh! I wonder why people wait in line for 15 minutes in other locations nearby (e.g. Salt and Straw) while this place is cheaper, it’s tastier, and you will have more choices.

Although right next to parking it is not easy to find a spot here during dinning time. It is a small shop and only one person behind the counter when we went. She was very friendly and fast. There is a bench to sit outside. They accept credit cards and have a NFC machine also. Metal spoons are for tasting, dont forget to leave them behind.

Not good gelato. When I was there the gelato was sweaty (melting) which gave it an icy texture. They should have better procedures to keep the gelato at the right temperature.I sampled a few flavors and they were all pretty flat. I would not recommend this place.

Gelato made from buffalo milk !My gastronomy astronomy map unveiled all the gastronomical signs and led me to this gelato-cally ripe location! It was clear to me that I needed to go for some frozen sweet stuff after filling up with super spicy Burmese food down the street. Yes, something to calm the gurgling excitement caused by red peppery heavenly platters.Ah, palette pleasing and sweet tooth satiating! ... also the staff laughed at all my silly jokes. A perfect day to a perfectly edible adventure in downtown Palo Alto.

Have none of these 5-star raters actually eaten Italian gelato before? It certainly isnt whats offered at this place. EXTRAORDINARILY icy. I was actually crunching on ice. And the fact that some of the flavors were melted before even being served is a testament to the of ice-to-cream ratio. Its made cheaply.

A small gelato and sorbet parlor with just enough walk-in room to stand in front of the showcase and consider your choices. Gelato Classico may offer 300 flavors, but note that this location does not provide them all at once - just a handful. Still, this location is in convenient distance to a high school, a university, and the public transportation lines. Great for a student to walk in on a hot day, get a quick cold treat, and get back to studies.

I gotta take advantage of all the warm days we get in the Bay. Considering it was a nice day and I just finished a hike, I thought some gelato afterwards would fit in well. There was line out the door and down the sidewalk a little, but mostly because its a super small place. There are 2 tables outside you can hang out in if youre lucky enough to grab a seat. Otherwise, you can take it across the street near where Pizza My Heart is and enjoy it in the picnic area there which is what we did. The have a lot of flavors to choose from and they let you sample it. To be honest, I cant even remember what flavors I got, but I remembered them being pretty good. It was definitely something chocolate-y and mocha-y. You feel a lot of pressure choosing your flavors quickly because the place is so small and theres probably a line behind you. The cool thing is that you can choose 2-4 flavors in one cup (depending on what size cup you get).Overall, this is a good place to satisfy your sweets craving on a nice day.
