I never imagined a vehicle purchase experience like this experience. Dave Koehne and Velde Ford are top notch! Dave is so personable, he immediately greeted us when we arrived in the parking lot, and answered all of our questions during our visit. The offer process exceeded our expectations, so we didnt feel we had to haggle on the purchase price, and accepted it on the spot. We traveled 45 minutes to this dealership, it was well worth the drive!

Today, we were refused service in an emergency situation. Traveling from another city (and explaining we were just driving through) we were caught in a sudden storm. Our windshield wipers had suddenly stopped working. No one would service us! My 80 year old dad said he couldn’t believe they wouldn’t take care of a traveler. Not cool!! We stopped just down the road at Mid-Illini Auto Center. They are looking at our FORD truck right now. I am sitting in Mid-Illini’s comfortable waiting room writing this review.

I have dealt with Velde for a long long time. I trust my salesman and that is why i always return. The problem some time ago my grandson got his first truck. After two weeks it wasnt working. I know it was used but my son in law offered to bring it back and get something better. Salesman did the best he could on the situation but owner wouldnt do anything. So i was disappointed in this but i still keep coming back. Came lately to get my oil changed. NOT ONE PERSON HAD A MASK ON. I am high risk so i was upset with this. Wrote. a letter and was told the majority of customers prefer no masks. I would like to take that survey. I need more car work done but unfortunately wont b going back. Heard same complaint at Velde GMC. Also Gary Horn was the greatest service dept staff. Sorry he is no longer there.
I seen Ford Flex for sale on-line at Veldes in Pekin, I went their last Saturday. Mark the Salesman said someone drove it home for the weekend( or they test drove it for the weekend). Tonight I went to the dealership tonight, Mark said they drove it home again. Mark is mistaken, there was no appointment set for Monday.
I bought a used 2007 Cadillac dts and could not happier with the car. In 2017, I had been to a few different dealerships and they all told me that I couldnt get approved for a loan even with a co-signer due to how much I owed on my trade. Thoroughly frustrated I had decided to just run the car that I had tried to trade, till it died. But then one day I randomly stopped at Velde to see what they had or what they could do for me to get me out of my old, rundown and unreliable car. When I walked in, I was greeted by Rich Walker and I told him my 3 requirements which were 1. Low Miles 2. Good Gas Mileage 3. Low Payment. The first car he showed me was a 2014 Fusion with over 100,000 miles on it so I was frustrated and felt like I was being played yet again, so I left. A couple weeks later Rich texted me and said that he thought he had a few vehicles that I would be interested in, I replied that I wasnt going to trade at that time because of not being able to get my inequity down on my trade. He replied and said that he would work on something for me and then came back with a deal that I couldnt say no to! He even gave me $1,200 more than my trade was worth in order to get me into something better. I greatly appreciated how he went above and beyond to take care of me and to get me something better than what I had. My mom and I both said that we felt that because I was around the same age as his son that he took me under his wing especially since I didnt walk in there and be like Put me in the mustang. I have been a loyal customer of Velde ever since and will continue to be!! Their customer service and how they treat their customers is their top priority!! We needed a low priced, dependable used vehicle and were looking for a needle in a haystack. Chris Cochran at Velde Ford really came through for us. He treated us like we were buying a fleet of new vehicles. Everything from finding the right vehicle to the test drive through final purchase was smooth and stress free. I dropped my van off for a tune-up and oil change the day after Labor Day. $3500 and 9 weeks later they told me that my engine was shot. I took it to another Ford dealer, and they went over everything that Velde had done. It cost me another $2500 for them to repair the mess Velde had made. They told me that I could take it back to Velde and the work would be covered under warranty. You couldnt pay me to go back to Velde. I just wish that I wouldnt have trusted Velde so much. I should have taken it for a second opinion before letting them do a timing chain job on my van. Incidentally, when the other dealership redid the timing chain, they found broken parts and several missing bolts.
Working with Chris was absolutely the best experience i’ve had at a dealership. I went in not knowing what vehicle i wanted to buy and I ended up test driving at least 5. He let me keep one over the weekend, and it ended up not being the one i wanted. I went back and purchased a totally different car and it was super easy! Definitely recommend working with him if you’re wanting to get into a new vehicle!

Steve Yerbic is a stand up guy! 5/5 best experience my wife and I have had purchasing a vehicle and it was all because of him!My wife was in a non-life threatening car accident that totaled her car. This obviously took us by surprise and we dreaded looking for another vehicle because of our past experiences with dealerships. Most dealerships are very pushy, make you feel uncomfortable or try to swindle you into a purchase you don’t want to make. When you politely say no thanks it makes them push even more. We both have had very negative experiences in the past. I was passing through Pekin and got a flat tire. Velde was able to get my car in a put 4 new tires on it with no notice at 3 oclock in the afternoon. Great customer service!

Do not waste your time trying to get service out of these people, it’s a total waste. Every time I’ve been here, the answer is always NO!I bought a $37,000 van from here, close to home so service would be “easy”, yeah, right. They refuse to take 10 minutes out of their day to look to see if my van is even safe to drive! Never again! I buy a new van every 2-3 years, guess where I won’t be buying from again?

Mike brenkmen was rude to me didnt even give me the chance to get out of my before he told me there was nothing he could do for me. I have since then moved out of state and was recently in the market for a 4WD SUV. Velde Ford showed me so much respect when maintenancing my Fiesta. I did not feel like the dumb woman when asking questions about the average miles per gallon and the missing part on my wiper. Questions were answered intelligently and missing parts were ordered. In the past, that level of respect has not always been given at other dealerships.
The customer service was absolutely phenomenal. Id looked around at other dealerships and had troubles with the payment options and such, but at Velde, they worked with owners and banks to get everything down within my price range. My sales rep, Jeff did a wonderful job helping me choose which car was best for me as far as mileage, appearance and price goes. Thank you! I appreciate all of the help.

Took my 2018 F-150 that had 6,000 miles on it for an oil leak. They said they needed to order an oil pan to fix the leak. Waited a month and heard nothing out of them so finally called them to find out they had the pan but couldnt tell me how long they have had it. Scheduled an appointment for first thing on a Tuesday morning and they didnt get to it so they told me it would be done Wednesday. I finally called late Wednesday evening to find out they didnt get to it again and the one mechanic they had to do this job was off the rest of the week and the following week so Id have to reschedule again around my work schedule. Dont recommend buying a vehicle from any Velde if you intend on getting it serviced by them because, Ive had horrible experiences with Velde Buick GMC right next door as well.

The woman at the front desk was very rude to me. Everytime Im with my parents they are nice but when Im by myself theyre rude. Weve bought 5 vehicles from Velde in Pekin and theres a very nice guy we always buy from but a significant amount of the staff is rude. I also have called since November about an airbag recall to set up an appointment and waited about 2 weeks for a call back to set up an appointment because they were, full. Well after 2 weeks no call and my transmission went out. Called again and they finally ordered the parts about mid December and they told me theyd call me when the airbags got in and set up an appointment. Well, It had slipped my mind for a while that they were suppose to call with an appointment because I still had a spare vehicle. Well about mid February I got another service recall letter in the the mail for the recall and remembered. I called and told them and was waiting for a call back. So I called again and explained at this point my transmission was out and they informed me they had the parts for my airbag for awhile. I told them Id call once my transmission was fixed, which arent cheap so I had to get some money. So, about mid march my car was fixed and I called about the airbag recall and was told Id recieve a call about an appointment date setup. Didnt get a call and it slipped my mind once again because I had a vehicle. Skip to mid April my mom asked me if I ever got it fixed and I completely forgot and called and asked about the appointment. They said tbey werw busy and someone would call me back with an appointment. 2 weeks went by no call so I called and finally got one set up for May 6th at 1 pm. Well I got there and spoke to a very rude woman at the cashier area. I had asked about rental vehicles each time Ive called because its a 2 and a half hour process I was told on the phone. Well I was told, Since your car wont be here for 3 hours or more a rental vehicle can not be provided. Then I brought it up again probably the third time I called but this time I was told, We dont have rental vehicles. Then when I called mid april to set up and appointment I brought it up again and the male on the phone said, You have to qsk for a rental vehicle a month in advance. Mind you Ive been calling since late November. And I EXPLAINED EACH AND EVERY TIME THAT ON MY RECALL PAPERS IT SAYS, A RENTAL VEHICLE WILL BE PROVIDED. Well today I came to velde and spoke to the rude woman at the cashier area and asked about rental vehicles and she told me, You have to be 21 to apply for a rental vehicle unless your name is on the car or youre the primary driver. Well Im the primary driver on my vehicle and still didnt get a rental. So, I was stuck waiting for about an hour plus some and couldnt even get my words out half the time I tried to speak to the woman at the cashier area. My family and I know alot of people who work here and theyve had our buisness for years. Never in my life expected such poor service...I gave 2 stars because of the poor service but also because we have been with them for years and I am greatful for a lot of things theyve provided. But today I had the worst experience here. Little edit I forgot to add one time I came here to order a wheel well cover thing for my car and the guy I spoke to talked to me like I was an actual idiot and ended up ordering the part but ordered it for the wrong side of my vehicle, even tho he came out to the parking lot and looked at my vehicle.Update its been almost 2 years since this review & ive never gone back nor has anyone else in my family. Best decision ive made.
We just purchased a used 2013 Ford E350 to fit our family of 9. The staff at Velde was remarkable! Not pushy at all and they really worked to make the trade and purchase work well for us and them! Weve bought a lot of vehicles over the years and I wont ever look anywhere else till Ive checked with them first now! Our salesman was Jeff Witherspoon and would recommend him to anyone! He was genuinely friendly and trying to do what we needed done. So many places weve been to its taken forever to get all the numbers figured and paperwork processed. They gave us our final figures, we all went to lunch while we decided, and when we all met back there, they got the paperwork ready and we signed in a very short period of time! No waiting and wondering what was taking so long! We honestly enjoyed the process for a change! Well be back for any of our vehicle needs!!
Worst place ever!! Old man behind the counter in service is rude and doesnt care about the customers. He only cares about spending your money. Dont ask to speak to the tech because he will roll his eyes and act like youre dumb. He never makes eye contact and always talks down to you. They didnt know what the hell they were doing.

Horrible service. Service department left 3 of us to fend for ourselves with broken down car. Made no attempt to offer any assistance to help us get home. They were not helpful at all.
Asked for several things to be done to my truck. I dropped my truck off on the 7th of December and didnt get to working on it till Wednesday afternoon the next week. I made several calls to check the status of my truck. I was told they would be getting it done before they went on Christmas break. I call again and they said the reason they where taking their time was because they thought I was going to make payments on my truck work. So they said it would be done Wednesday the 26th when they got back. Nope truck still wasnt done. Later around noon they called and said it was complete. I arrive to pick it up and one of the things I asked to be done was an alignment, it wasnt done. I called they said they could get me in at 330pm I wait and finally when I drop off my truck its pouring coolant out. Note when I dropped my truck off it wasnt leaking anything. I ask them about this and they acted stupid like they had no idea how this happen. So I get my alignment and pick up my truck they let ms know that there is a hole in my radiator. I explained to them that when I turned over my truck to them it wasnt leaking and I even have video proving it. They suggested I get it repaired but I would have to take off even more time at work. Overall my experience there was horrible. The guy i was working with forgot several things I wanted done, the mechanic put a hole in my radiator, and it cost me a huge amount of time off work. I will never bring my truck here again. The only reason it gets 2 stars is because the guy working in parts helped me out and some of the things I asked for got completed.
I drove to Velde Ford from Detroit last week to purchase a used Ford Edge -- they had exactly what I was looking for in stock. Mark Walka and Lynzie Gruden were both great to work with. This was by far the fastest and easiest vehicle purchase Ive made. Great price, great service, great overall experience.
Had my oil change and transmission service done on 3/1/19. I knew the trans. service was gonna be 189.00 but didnt ask what the oil change was gonna be cuz Id never paid more than 60 here before. They handed me th bill an oil change ended up being 125.00. They discounted it to 90 after i voiced my problem with that. I dealt with a dealer manager about the issue and he said they were paying 15.00 a quart at napa for valvoline. Thats why the bill was so high. Well first off the service writer told me they had valvoline on hand for my vehicle. Secondly they used the wrong type of valvoline for my vehicle. Thirdly if they are getting it from napa in bulk for 15 a quart they are completely business stupid. Ya can get the same thing from walmart for under 7 bucks a quart. You would think they would take care of their customers by passing along the best prices for service an service related products. I can get the same oil change done for 60 bucks anywhere else. Needless to say Velde Ford has lost a valued customer for life considering Ive bought two trucks there an had all my service work done on them there. I was gonna buy a new mustang there but someone else will get to sell me my new Shelby GT500 Mustang now. Not sure if ya will see this or not but in response to your reply i guess i should have been more specific about my request for oil. I use valvoline 5W-20 synthetic blend not durablend. Wal-Mart does carry it an it only costs 60 bucks for the oil change with that oil. Personally i feel that if youre spending napas 14 plus per quart for oil as a smart business move ya should question that cost cuz thats outrageous for oil.

They don’t deserve one star. Took my car there for service and asked for an estimate concerning another repair. I was charged $39.00 for the estimate. I dealt with two service employees and no one mentioned a charge for the estimate. Spoke with the rude Service Manager who said if I wanted a refund “that’s just not going to happen!”Avoid this dishonest dealership and service department!!
Service department is HORRIBLE!!! And dishonest! My daughter took in her 2013 car for a frayed serpentine belt (which Velde had already replaced in Oct. 2016). It took them 3 days to look at to determine cause. That was ok since she did not have an appointment. On Friday morning at 8:30, May 4, they told us it was the water pump causing the belt to break. They told us they would have to order the belt but it would be DONE on Monday, 5/7. We did not hear from them Mon or Tues. I called them tues but they were already closed. Called again at 8:22am Wednesday morning, spoke with Callie. She told me they are working on the car right now it will be done at the end of the day. They were waiting on a part, but it came in so they are working on it now. They will call me when it is done. DID NOT CALL ME. I called back Thurs morning, again at 8:38. They are working on it now, It should be done this morning. they were waiting on a part - told again by Callie. Do you not purchase a water pump with all parts included!!! I dont believe they changed the water pump but charged her for it. So her father stopped in there at about 11 and spoke with a Gary (service manager??) and he claimed that he thought the car already went out earlier in the week. He went to find the car and it was sitting in the back lot - NOT EVEN TOUCHED!! So, once again, we were assured the car would be fixed today. Guess what!!Not again. The car was finally done one week later on Friday afternoon. I will NEVER go there again and will make sure to tell anyone of the horrible service we received. If they had been HONEST and told us they havent had a chance to look at it yet, we would have been ok. But to blatantly lie to me and tell me they are working on it right now. Shameful!!! What else are they lying about?? Did they even replace the water pump or just the belt and charged (OVERCHARGED, at that) her for both.

Most unfriendly people I have ever dealt with in the service department, never again will I go there!!!! I tried to email velde back but it says the email is invalid.
Chris there at velde always goes out of his way for you even when other car dealers have turned there back on you he will get you a car or truck that you will love he helped me when in had to file bankruptcy green Chevy turned there back on me and refused to even talk to me after I told them I had to file bankruptcy is wasnt due to me not wanting to pay my creditors back it was because of my job I lost 60 percent of my income and was able to make a max monthly payment of 250 a month after the payment plan was approved for a car or truck at first I thought in was gonna have to drive some small car but he got me into a suv for 255 a month so when I say Chris will try is best to get you into a car or truck he will and velde ford has always done me right they have me a customer for the rest of my life. Just brought me a newer truck from Chris about 2 weeks ago and my wife is thinking about a escape or edge from Chris. Once you meet him you will fall in love with velde ford also

Went to Velde Ford to get a new key fob and key cut for a vehicle I purchased @ a different dealer, they where very friendly and treated me well, unlike like other Ford dealerships in the area. I will continue to use them in the future for all my maintenance

Dave Koehne was an awesome salesman to work with. He took the time to show us all of the options we had at the dealership. We ended up purchasing a 2012 Explorer with no issues at all. There were some cosmetic issues with the car and they were fixed that day. Dave spent as much time as we needed working with us and it was great not being haggled. I cannot say enough great things about Mr. Koehne. If you are looking for a car, dont waste your time anywhere else, go see Dave Koehne and the Velde Ford crew.
