I would give 0 stars if Google let me. This store was my favorite place to buy mainly Turkish products up until I realized the owner sells expired products - really really expired sometimes more than 6 months, and alters the expiration dates on the dairy products. The owner starts arguing if you show the products and tells he cant control all the products. Hey brother,.of you cant have a control on your expired products, stop doing this business. I will certainly let the Allegheny Health Department about this. Also this store needs a serious pest control. I would never ever go this store and definitely sue the owner.

One of my favorite Middle Eastern grocery stores in the city! They have a nice selection of Persian groceries, which Ive had trouble finding anywhere else in town.

The grocery is abundant with fresh quality products at reasonable prices. This is your place to go for many items you wont find at other places. I always find all the Persian items I’m looking for. The selection of rice, tea, spices, herbs and canned food is superb. The display is neat and the store is clean. Daily and seasonal fresh produce is always available, even brought in from other states. The owner is very friendly and speaks Arabic, Kurdish, Farsi, Spanish, and maybe more! The store itself is much bigger inside than it looks from outside. The store is a hidden gem in Pittsburgh and a MUST stop for grocery needs. I’ve been their happy customer for many years.

Sultan Bey is a hidden Gem. Although the shop is small in size, it has a great variety of good food ranging from essentials to exotic Turkish delicacies.They have very good fruits and vegetables at reasonable prices. They have everyday necessities such as rice, beans, cheese, and olives… the list is long. They have a great variety of quality spices. They have good meat and frozen foods as well.Sultan Bey has the best dates and the best Baklava and also has many Turkish and middle Eastern delicacies that you cannot find anywhere else.I shop at Sultan Bey every week: the owners are kind and courteous; they always help me find what I am looking for. I am glad that this store is nearby in Oakland.

Sultan Bey is definitely the place to shop for your spices that is way more affordable than Market District! The ethnic foods here are unbeatable and so convenient for college students. The owner, Taha, is so kind and has even given me free bananas and a discounted slice of cake. He is also very personable and cares for his customers. I lost my wallet months ago and he has gone out of his way to send it from Pittsburgh to Washington state! I highly recommend this place for your essential ingredients and nutrients!

Great local market for Turkish and Middle Eastern groceries. But what makes this market special are the people, especially the owner. He will answer any questions you have about any of his products. Moreover, if you want something that he doesnt carry, just ask him. There is never a guarantee he can get it in but he will try. My spouse (who is from Turkey) and I love this market and we patronize it regularly. Give it a try!

Best halal market in North Oakland! It provides great selection of halal frozen meat and middle eastern groceries. Youll never dissapoint for they service! As frequent customer who is student, the owner often give me tips of better prices for similar product. I also comes often for the Indonesian ramen, halal meat and their egypt/turkish rice selection. What a great shop in the neighborhood!

I was shopping in this grocery store until I realized that the owner sells many EXPIRED products in his store. Many of the items in this store are really expired. Ridiculous!! I talked to my friends and I learned that many complaints about this situation. The owner intentionally sells EXPIRED products and fools people even though he is warned many times. I will sue him soon as he continues to sell such expired items.

The owner is quite friendly and nice, and interested in Chinese culture! The product is cheap and good. I always come here to by some vegetables and fruits. I have to mention this pistchio, much better than the one bought in the supermarket! Our home is good, the quality of fruits and vegetables is not bad, tomato cucumber and strawberry are often bought~ If you want to eat pistachio, you can come here and be as delicious as domestic! It’s too bad to eat in the supermarket, such as the opposite CVS.
