Exhaust Authority is awesome. My vehicles exhaust pipe had a crack on it which causing significant noise every time when I start the vehicle. Checked with the dealer and they want to charge me over $1000 to replace the whole exhaust system. Did some research online and went to Exhaust Authority and got the crack welded in 30 minutes for only $40! Thanks EA!

Took my van in today and got it back in a few hours. Had my exhaust detach on the way from Michigan and stopped to get it serviced in Arkansas but had issues once I got back on the road. When I got to Texas this shop was recommended to me and Tommy fixed my baby up, and had her sounding like she was brand new. Would definitely recommend to everyone.

Repairing exhaust manifolds on a 32-year old truck with 281,000 miles is not for the faint of heart. Tommy and Jay showed no fear and demonstrated old school craftmanship while removing two broken bolts (one actually countersunk) and getting these old manifolds to seal like new again. Quick turnaround and very reasonable pricing. In addition, Tommy put his welding skills on display while repairing a troublesome bung on the passenger side manifold. Great first experience with Exhaust Authority for me!

Great exhaust work, bad attitude. One of the employees, Jay, was very nice and helpful. Really great guy. The welder, Tommy, is great at his craft, but has a really childish attitude. He lifted my car up and then said he didn’t want to weld the mufflers I brought since they could rattle. I’ve had them installed and taken off before and they never ‘rattled’ when they were on. I then asked if he could weld the hangers higher so they wouldn’t rattle. Just to get options. He then said, “I’m done, I’m done” and then lowers my car without saying a word! Uh what?? Really childish. I ended up getting another muffler installed there after talking to him once the car was lowered. The quality is good. I do appreciate Tommy’s expertise, but there is a correct way to handle business. Just be wary of Tommy’s attitude and hope that he’s in a good mood I guess.

The best place in Plano and all of Dallas for muffler work, Tommy and Jay are so nice and professional.Today I got my resonators delete, Cherry Bomb Vortex mid mufflers put on, rear muffler delete,then straight piped to my Flow Master quad tips for my 2013 Challenger.I called Tommy and asked if he could help me order the right mufflers from Summit racing, he looked it up for me on their web sight and gave me part number to make sure I got the right mufflers.That was very nice of him going above and beyond offering me help to order a part like that, and Its a work of art watching Tommy with his metal fabrication and welding work on pipes and mufflers. I will be a customer for life.

About three years ago the Exhaust Authority installed an exhaust system on my 2014 F150. I noticed a couple of weeks ago that the hangers that supported the tips had broke. I brought the truck in for repair and was fully prepared to pay for service. However, the repairs were free of charge. Exhaust Authority, thank you for standing behind your work. It really means alot to me! By the way, have loved the exhaust system every time Im full throttle!

Ive been taking my vehicles here for years. They are fair, honest, and reasonably priced. If something does happen to go awry, they will make it right. They will fix just about anything and will offer less expensive options if there are any. Expect for them to keep your car for a full day as they can be quite busy. If honesty is your top priority, this is the place for you to go!

My exhaust pipe melted a hole in my gas tank from a previous exhaust shop doing terrible work and they replaced my fuel tank and re-routed my exhaust correctly in a very efficient manner. Easy to work with, good people!

My son’s 1994 Jeep Wrangler’s muffler rotted out and made the car one big echo chamber. I called the muffler shop my regular AutoShop recommended but neither location would answer their phone.So, I found Exhaust Authority and saw their reviews. The guys were straight shooters and gave me a quote. Brought the Jeep in and Tommy got it out the same day and the final bill was $20 less than the quote. As for the work on the Jeep, the ride is much more comfortable and sounds great—i didn’t realize this is what its supposed to sound like. I would recommend these guys to my friends and family.

I dont know whats up with the bad reviews, but these guys are great and will tackle about any job. They are what I like to call old school folks and if you work with them, tell them what you want and listen to their advice, youll be fine. Just dont be an asshat and everything will be fine. Otherwise, drag your stuff to Midas and get in line.

Honest people. Good work done. I had my Catalytic Converter replaced. Very reasonable.

The welds and tube bends are terrible. They reduced my 3 straight exhaust to 2.5 and basically 1 at the bends. So the once nice, but very loud, rumble is reduced and can barely be heard. A Prius is louder than my truck now. I would definitely not recommend this place, they cut corners and just want to send you on your way. And for $400 I would expect a professional job. I can weld better than this place.

They did everything wrong.I was excited when they agreed to fabricate my exhaust at a reasonable price. Then, instead of it taking 1 day, as they told me, it took 3.Less excited... when I got the car back, the exhaust was on the wrong side and had way more bends than I had directed, no big deal, I guess. I can handle that. At least they got it installed.Well, except that I now need an of extender... Ok, I can go buy one of those. I get under the car to see that they:*Didnt make a y pipe, like they said they would, the used the factory y pipe... Ok, I guess*They used all 2 piping... The same diameter as my stock exhaust. Completely unacceptable given that I also provided 2.5 high flow cat and 2.5 in/out muffler....*Then, if that werent enough, they cross threaded the o2 sensor to the point where there were no threads when I unscrewed it to measure/plug in the extender... And thus it is useless... And the bung is useless bc the threads are still in there.All of this would have been acceptable if, when I called, they accepted responsibly. Nope. They said you cant bend 2.5 tubing and that I cross threaded the o2 sensor when removing it. Both of those statements are so profoundly stupid that I cannot even respond rationally.The worst part is that, bc they said their credit card machine was down, I paid them with cash so, I cannot dispute the charge. Im basically out $350...an o2 sensor, and whatever it costs me to redo everything.Use this as a cautionary tale... Or ignore it at your own peril. I selected this place based on reviews. You deserve the warning.
