This place is a week oiled machine. They limit the amount of people allowed in due to covid restrictions and they are getting people in and out of there fast!! I was impressed with how little time it took me to get to the front of the line from being the 15th person in line just to get in.
Not a bad place but since most people buy books and supplies with PELL, they mark up prices a bit, especially on laptops.
Not really impressed with service or the rip-off prices of the buy-back service.
The manager Brie is very rude. She had an attitude every day for no reason at all. She is so hateful and sad about something in her own life and she just HAS to bring it to work. Super unprofessional. If you are an employee, don’t ever stand up for yourself because the store manager Michelle will take her side and fire you WITHOUT NOTICE.

How are you going to change your hours and not update us online? An 8.5x11” piece of paper on your window isn’t being informative or helpful. Some of us work during the day and can’t make it until after 5pm to return our books. Thanks for letting me drive 30 minutes to get here just to learn I wasted my time and he money.
This place always has a long lines, like come on hire more student workers! Everything is overpriced, when I compared prices. I try to avoid the bookstore and only come if the professors asks for a collin college branded book by the college. All the other books can be found in there place and are faster and cheaper. The worst part is that your stuck with the books and cant sell back the collin college branded books .
My experience with them was terrible. Awful customer service! First of all, when classes started the didn’t have one of the books that I needed for one of the classes. I waited and was always going there to check if it had arrived. Last week, I finally saw one book there that matched the one I was supposed to buy. Couple of days later when I was about to do my homework I realized I got the wrong volume of the book and went back there to change it for the right one or get a refund, since I didn’t use the book. This was Tuesday, and the person who heard what happened was very sensitive and was willing to help me. Just told me that it would be better if I could find the receipt but if not they could do on the same way. When I came back there today, I talked to another lady (the overweight white one that is always seated behind her desk on the corner) and her attitude was completely different. She didn’t want to help me at all! Told me that the deadline for returns had passed and she couldn’t do it. I explained that this just happened because the bookstore didn’t have the book - that confused me since the books look the same- to sell and they still don’t have it. Also told her about what the other lady told me and syill didn’t work. How am I supposed to turn in my homework without it? Now I’m stuck with a book I won’t use and without the one I was supposed to have. From now on, they will definitely be my last option when I need to buy a book!

They have all types of school supplies, scantrons, lab equipment, test booklets, and textbooks at very reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and very helpful.Come with time, especially when new semester classes begin, the wait in line may be up to 45 minutes !!The bookstore closes early on Fridays, and the vending machine placed outside is often not working properly.
Wow, if I could give this place negative stars I would. I went here to return a book that was show as the book for one of my classes. Little did I know I had to return the book from the location that I picked the book up from. Doesnt say this anywhere on the website. Was asked by on associate what I was there for when I was in line to do a return. The girl that works the online desk, then directed me to the online pick up line. The girl book huy back area. She as also extremely rude to an gentlemen with a service dog asking for help. Stood in that line for about six customers. When it was my turn I was told I had to go to the McKinney location to make my return. An hour wasted. Spoke to a manager she tells me to order online have it shipped to my house. Yep. I sure will do that from Amazon or any other company other than this bookstore. Worst service. Ive ever received. Could have all been better had the first girl that sits in the desk behind book buy back asked more questions or even cared.
Nobody picks up the GD phone. Tried calling about buyback, nobody picked up the phone after 3 times. Looked up online what time bookstore closes it said 7. “You can come back tomorrow.” Seriously?

I have been attending this college for a year and using this bookstore. Every beginning of the semester there are the same bad attitude employees that work there and a large white lady who appears to be the manager. She sits at her desk and uses her phone until you, (the customer) acknowledges her first. It is such a shame because I literally love everything about Collin College except this bookstore. Today was their last chance, I won’t waste my time or money here anymore.
This was the worst experience that i have yet to encounter at a college campus. The professors that work at the Spring Creek campus are beyond wonderful, however, this overweight white lady working at the book store really ruined my perception of this school. Upon entering, i was not greeted, and i saw her staring me down as i approached the counter. She had the worst attitude, out of all the staff members i have gotten the chance to interact with over the last year. She used a disgusting tone of voice towards me, when i really just asked a simple question, not in any way rude towards her. She does not seem happy at all to hold the position she currently works. I feel disappointed that the school was willing to use a percentage of my hard earned tuition money to pay such a rude and disrespectful person to run such a high traffic area, that should require good customer service. This ruined my whole day. I hope i never get the chance to see that lady behind the counter again. Honestly, she deserves to be fired.
Needs better hours, cant handle a crowd at all and the vending machine is and has been broken for 5 years. But theyre really organized when it comes to finding your books. Just make sure you have the time to wait in line.
Prices are high, but Im pretty sure tats on the publishing companies. Employees are super nice, you can find everything to start off the semester right. Pricey though for not book related items.
I went in today to buy some Collin merchandise and the young man who waited on me at the counter was so friendly and upbeat. Overall it was a great experience and makes me look forward even more to working for the school. Thank you!

Managers will work hard to make sure you are treated fairly, return policy limitations are fairly stringent though.
I bought a book maybe 4-5 weeks into the semester, because I didn’t think I needed it up until that point. It was after the return date for books bought at the beginning of the semester, but I was told didn’t apply to books purchased after that date. I ended up not needing the book as I found another solution for half the price and tried to return the book the day after it was bought, still fully wrapped and untouched. They told me it was then after return date, even thought i had purchased the book and was told I could return it only a day prior. I will never buy another book from them again, because any other company would have refunded me.
Save your money and buy your books on Amazon. Aside from cost the store team was super helpful and pleasant to work with and ask questions
Love Collin college. CC provides a very good start towards ur university degree at a reasonable cost. I dont understand why ppl wants to start with expensive schools like UTD, anyone can complete their first 2years of bachelor degree @ collin and finish the rest in a reputed school with half the cost! Save ur money and go with CC :-)
A MONTH later and Im still waiting on a refund for an electronic order I never received. I tried contacting them via email and I get no response.

I’m a former student of the school, one of the lady’s (white and large), at the online order desk is very unhappy to work there. She doesn’t greet, and ask questions in a very demanding tone. Students shout have to deal with a person like that. If she isn’t happy there, maybe it’s time to find another job. The store is nice and everyone is kind and helpful overall. (The only reason I describe her is because I didn’t get her name).
The staff is friendly, however it seems as if they shouldn’t waste their time having a phone because they don’t answer it. I’ve been calling for the past two days and haven’t had anyone answer the phone. It’s a bookstore, it can’t be that ridiculously busy all the time.
Walked in, asked a question and got sass and rude toned answers back from the fat pig behind the desk. All I could hear was her oinking at me. Hope I never have to see her ugly face again. FIRE HER!

The most convenient store on the Spring Creek Campus to buy school supplies and the required materials for college students. Though small, you should be able to find what you need there easily.
Do not buy anything from this store. Please read horror stories/feedback about returning stuff written below by others. This store will give you wrong information about return policy and rip you off by “accident” and will not apologize for their mistake. I bought a textbook that cost 250 from this store and was told that I can bring it back for a full refund anytime during the semester if I drop the course. I dropped the course and came without the proof of the drop after one week and was told by the same employee that I need to bring the proof and that he will refund it full anytime, no expiration unless it is within the semester. I come back 2 weeks after with the proof of drop, still within the semester, and tried to return the unopened book for a full refund and the employee who told me about the full refund policy took the book to a large female manager and she said theres no refund for the book. I argued that I was told by the exact same employee that it will be refunded if I have the proof of the drop within the semester and she said that is wrong information. She didnt apologize even once and told me everyone has to follow rules even though I relied on the wrong information given by the employee. She offered 11 dollars for the refund of my 250 dollar book, and no apology. True story.

Spring Creek bookstore never picks up the phone. Youll receive their voice mail recording which is from March 2019 - You can call the main campus phone and they dont help either.
This is a nice college, just wish academic centers could have some more science tutors, especially in biology.

AWFUL customer service. I rented a textbook, and I called them a WEEK before its due date asking when was the last day to return it and the employee told me on Friday which later i found out that day the college was going to be closed so there was no way to even get to the bookstore. I went there the following Monday to talk to them about this, and the lady helping me was just plain out rude. She said that i should have known better even though it WAS THEM who gave me the wrong info and it ended up charging me $90. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Go rent your books on amazon, chegg, or literally anywhere else but this place. They just want your money!

I went to the Spring Creek Campus book store last Thursday September 20, 2018 to return two textbooks that I did not use. I spoke with Jayda who informed me that I would not be able to return the books because I did not have a receipt. I asked her to look up my receipt for the transaction and she refused and told me that she did not have the ability to look it up. I explained to her that I lived and hour a way and only came to the campus to return the book. She refused to look up the transaction or return the book. Fast forward to Monday September 24, 2018 I called the number for the book store and asked to speak with a supervisor. The book store put Jayda on the line and I explained that I loss my receipt and asked her to look it up. She quickly looked it up found it and told me to come in and they would process my refund. When I was speaking to her I had no idea it was the same person that did not allow me to return the books just a few days earlier. The next day Tuesday September 25, 2018 I returned to the campus after an hour long drive to return the books again and was greeted by Jayda. I reminded her who I was an asked her why she lied to me and did not allow me to return the book the week prior. She did not have a good explanation why she did not allow me to return the book. Due to this issue I will never use this book store again. I hope this will help other students if they have trouble returning an item without a receipt.
