Matcha is one of those select tastes people get. Like cilantro to some taste like soap. (Bless you if this is the case) Matcha tastes rich and sweet but has mild bitterness with a touch of cleansing melodies and yet to some people it taste like grass. Anyways, their soft serve is so smooth. I love the rich and creamy texture. I also love ITO EN tea products. Their unsweetened Jasmine is among my top favorite things to drink. Would recommend.
The ice cream is delicious, but the service is atrocious. The single staff member was gone for a while, came back. We waited for the lady to help customers in front of us and step back for 3 min, and then she disappeared again... to take a ONE HOUR LUNCH BREAK. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY. 3pm-4pm. The store wasn’t secured down (the gate inside was open where anyone could access it.). How do you run a business like this?!
My bf and I got a selection of soft serve: black sesame, taro, and matcha. I wasn’t so sure about any of the flavors. My favorite of the three would be the black sesame. It had a nutty, almost peanut buttery taste to it. The taro flavor was fine and nothing special. The matcha tasted like matcha, so if that’s what you like then go for it.We got the dessert after we had some ramen from Hokkaido Ramen Santouka. We didn’t finish eating half and just tossed it to go shopping at Mitsuwa.
I love going to get some ice cream from Matcha Love. Their ice cream/soft serve is very good. They also have ice cream available as pint in case your favorite ran out. We love all the ice cream flavors so far (matcha, hojicha, taro coconut, mango, and sakura). The matcha boba shake is good as well, the caffein got me shaking. The staff is very nice and friendly. They are in the food court so there are plenty of tables and seats for dining in.
The ice cream from this place taste good, but you need watch out for the ice cream you get from them. If you order large size ice cream in the cup, instead of on the cone. You need to pay extra dollars, but you won’t get more ice cream, because they filled up the ice cream with a big hole in the center of the cup. We found that big hole in the middle of the cup, and asked the manager, if that was a mistake. The answer we got was, no mistake, they did that on purposely. I think they are not honest to the customer to cheat customer this way.
Had dessert after a bowl of tasty ramen. We ordered Matcha and Vanilla soft serve. I’m very impressed with the Vanilla soft serve, I could taste very strong vanilla taste and see the little dots bean paste in the soft serve. Like the green tea flavor too, not as sweet as others Brand’s matcha. Would definitely try again.
The matcha ice cream is pretty good, but could border on standard vanilla. 3 stars because ice cream is the best dessert in the world and the wife likes this place!
3 stars for my second visit. I tried all the ice cream flavors and there is only one flavor impressed me - black sesame. Iced matcha latte is a bit creamy and sweet to me. I do like it bitter a bit... next time if i come, i will get black sesame 🍦 only :)
Healthy & tasty cold drinks.
They have a a $6 minimum purchase requirement to pay with card, which is legal for credit cards but not debit cards in Texas. Staff are generally unhelpful.
Their ice cream is so good! Im a huge matcha fan and can be kind of particular about it at times. if youre craving matcha ice cream, ditch the pint at the store and treat yourself to a soft serve from here. They also only accept cash.
I love their matcha soft serve. Its something I crave on a regular basis lol
Just don’t come to this place. They don’t wanna serve you at all. Gladly, Plano has many match places.
Come here if you like green tea and you like soft serve ice cream. If you dont, come here and try it because you might change your mind.
Today, at 11:30 am the person behind the counter knocked over a row of cups on the floor. He then kicked them with his foot, picked them back up and put them on the display for use. He did not wash his hands nor dispose of the dirty cups. This is disgusting. I hope the health inspector shuts them down.
The ice cream is GOOD me and my cousin dont like matcha that much but when they made it was so good
The matcha ice cream is amazing!
Let me start off saying that i am laughing as i write this.i ordered a small ice cream cone for $3.75 and tried to pay with a credit card but there is a $6 MINUMUM (i think they do this to encourage cash payments to evade paying US taxes and/or avoid paying .10cents to credit card company).so i busted out a ten bill and the guy gave me back $5.94 in change. they charged tax on tax-evaded cash !! does anybody see the IRONY ?? HAHA.and the inconvenience of the CHANGE!! i got back pennies !!! LOL.what am i supposed to do with pennies? so obviously i put the change in the tip jar. im just flabergasted that in this day and age businesses are still dealing in pennies. it seems unpatriotic to evade taxes, it seems like poor business sense to EXCLUDE potential customers who dont carry cash (like me) and then either force the customer to buy TWO fat-filled ice cream cones or one LARGE which adds to the obesity epidemic in the USA, just to get over the credit card minimum (which coincidentally is priced above the medium size), INCONVENIENCE the customer by handing back .94 cents in useless loose change (which wastes staff energy because someone has to count that change and stock it/dispense it). HAHA.sorry, but this ice cream just isnt worth the inconvenience. it was a feel-bad experience thru-and-thru. id rather pay $10 for an ice-cream that goes to tax-paying patriotic establishments that actually give with a smile
Loved it. Interesting flavors.
Customer service was great for the first time and the triple waffle bowl was worth every cent of the 5.50. Matcha and roasted green tea is the way to go here.
The best ice cream in town.
Amazing.
