Customer service is great. Environment is pleasant. I was greeted by a guy who was willing to help and seemed happy to get my business. However I have had better donuts. These donuts didnt have the slightest crunch and were more doughy and sugary then whats normal. I tried the spinach feta pastry (or whatever its called) and that was really good!
So glad this place is around the corner from my office. Delicious donut holes, a perfectly made buttermilk donut (a rare balance of crispy, soft and tangy), and maple bars that can be bought plain or filled with cream custard. Super friendly staff. Immaculately clean. Cute decor. Coffee bar. Bonus: Uplifting Christian music while you wait. Definitely going to stop by more often.
Great selection. Tastes fresh and is fluffy. Got an assortment of savory kolaches, cake donuts, and yeast donuts. All well glazed and had great presentation. Staff was helpful, patient, and courteous.
Your gonna Spend $10.00 whether you like it or not! Its WAY better than old KRUSTY KREMES if ya know what I mean!!!!
The cashier guy is very sweet and gave my little toddler a free donut. The donuts were very fresh. Will come back to this place again.
Ive never had better doughnuts any where else 🍩
Nice staff, donuts are good.
Very nice little donut shop with good coffee 🍩☕
So freaking good man
Very great service and delicious doughnut
Highly recommend! Clean place, great service and delicious donuts.
Tastes exactly like the donuts I had at church when I was younger. Delicious. They take apple pay also so contact free transactions in these uncertain times.
Great hidden gem!
DELICIOUS DONUTS!! Definitely recommend this place! Staffs are amazing and their so kind! The last owner was very rude but the new owner is spectacular! The place is very clean and organized! The donuts are fresh and high quality! The first day i went they I fell in love with the donuts! Cute designs!
Hands down, the BEST donuts and Bagels, I have ever had. The staffs are so kind, the place is so clean and the prices are very affordable. Ive seen reviews for the previous owner so I didnt want to go, but there was one day where I had no choice but to buy something for work here, and I dont regret it at all. LOVE THIS PLACE!
Really good donuts. Selection can get slim if you’re not early.
(Originally Uploaded on 4/19/19)I recently saw a fight at this specific donut store here in Plano. (Click to read full story)Here’s the real story:So me and my friends just arrived at the donut place because usually we try tons of different donut places around the area. This one, we forgot our wallets so we left and got the wallets. Then as we walked back in, this guy was like, “WHATS YOUR NAME SIR YOU JUST ASSAULTED ME!” When we left, they started coming outside and fighting 😂THE DONUTS ARE OVERPRICED!!!I MEAN IT!!! ALMOST 2 DOLLARS FOR A FLIPPING DONUT!!!So then we went to “A one donut” (Southeast corner of Park & Coit) down the street and they have a lot better service! As we were coming back the same direction to this place, we saw the guy who was filming on the phone with the police 😂I thought the owner was going to start throwing donuts 😂FUNNY STORY! BUT IF YOU WANNA AVOID FIGHTS, AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!No wonder why this place is called Donut Bar! Because the owner drank TOO MUCH BEER 😂(Update) 6/15/19:Went back to Donut Bar and the guy wasn’t as bad as last month. Donuts tasted pretty good.
Wonderful food! Worker was chill, no complaints.
The guy that runs this place is so rude. If you only plan on purchasing a few donuts, or in my case a dozen donut holes, this guy gets mad. Today he would not sale me a dozen donut holes even though I was paying cash. I had my two year old grandson with me and he told me I had to spend more. He refused to sell me one dozen... I went to Duncan. They were happy to get my cash. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this place.
DIDNT WANT TO GIVE ONE STAR!!DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE PRETTY PICTURES! THE MAN WHO COULD BE THE OWNER IS SO RUDE!! I couldnt believe him YELLING AT ME. I came into the store to purchase DONUTS I had a EMPTY coffee cup to put in TRASH. THE MAN YELLED AT ME NOT TO PUT THE TRASH IN THE TRASH CAN.He WENT ON AND ON. I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND TOLD MY COWORKERS NOT TO SPEND MONEY THERE. IT IS TOO MANY OTHER PLACES NEAR BY.
Its like a made to order donut place. The have the ingredients and assemble for you while you watch. Its phenomenal. New favorite place.
Every time I go to this donut shop there is only one guy working and he is very rude. I have tried to give him the benefit of doubt of two separate occasions but nothing changed. The donuts and sausage rolls are very good, I can’t deny that. However the customer service is ridiculous. He told me to get out today cause I finally address his attitude. I definitely will not be going back here I work too hard for every dime I make. When someone is spending their money with you, you should be able to make them feel good about it. I didn’t think it would be that big of an issue to have two piggies in separate bags since I have two kids 🙄
Super inexpensive. Great tasting pastries!
Im not sure if people are rating the Plano Pkwy location or others but the husband and wife at this location have been very nice. They often have a little line in the am of people buying dozens to take to jobs and schools. Eveything tastes fresh and the prices are in line with everything else in Texas so no complaints from me.
Friendly staff, clean store, and a wide variety of donuts to choose from. Kids love the character donuts they make. The coffee could be better but other than that everything is great!
Awful customer service, the man who attended us(3 of my friends and I) was rude to us overall. One friend only had a 20 as her lowest bill and he was demanding something smaller despite her telling him she had nothing else. She asked if she could get a coffee, and he rudely answered back that the coffee machine wasnt working, as if it was common knowledge. When asking for a pig in a blanket, he almost angrily asked what type and how many. Didnt heat them up without us asking him to, and he also angrily threw them into the microwave and on the counter. Cant say the food was awful though, but the customer service is horrible. Wont be going back there, he doesnt even appreciate the business he gets.
They were out of my favorite twist. But they have the best donuts.
Honestly only giving 3stars due to the cleanliness and organization of the establishment..i ordered the pig in a blanket (kolache) which was decent and a dozen donut holes that tasted cold and greasy. The cashier was not very welcoming at all and never seem to be when I visit here. I wont be coming back 🙅🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️
Owner was rude.As for food i dont know how it tastes.Just move to frisco and went to this Donut place to get dozen donuts but apparently this guy woke up on wrong side of the bed. Im a nice guy and never lead to anything that would lead to any sort of issues..He lost a customer forever. I buy about 3000 to $5000 of donuts a year.
This place is my absolute favorite! Going here has become part of my weekly routine. The staff is friendly and there is always a great variety of donuts. The decorations on the donuts are adorable and the new creme brûlée donut is to die for!
Pricey but good. The crescent donutsvare killer. Large Malachi best Ive had. Anywhere.
Still can’t believe how I was treated. I’m new to the area. I just went in for breakfast, two kolaches and a drink. I paid and he bagged my order and threw them on the counter. I ask if they could be heated. He threw them in the microwave for about 5 seconds threw them back at me and walked off. He seemed very agitated. The food was still cold. I have recently found a new donut shop with great food and friendly people. I will never return to the Donut Bar. Lesson learned
Ill be coming here more often, the fungus are amazing and the three staff is very kind.
So I came to this place to get some breakfast specifically some kolaches but whoever is that guy that runs the place in the morning he is rude plain and simple very very rude I know it can be annoying when people pay you with a bunch of coins but its still money come on no the end of the world so I came in and I buy to kolaches I spend $6.47 I pay with a $5 bill and $1.47 on coins... mostly dimes and nickels. When I give him the money it look like he was mad like he was annoying by me paying with coins but he didnt say anything so I keep it to myself I take my kolaches and went outside and eat it in the parking lot by the way the kolaches were good but I still have the image of this guy being mad at me for paying coins. but then again I thought to myself its just my imagination so I decided that I want one more Karachi and went back to get one more just this time I only have coins to pay for it a bunch of quarters dimes and pennies so I walk into to the store in ask this guy how much just one of the big collages cost, he reply to me on a very annoying mood The Kolache cost $2.99 plus taxes, he also stated that it was very rude and annoying the customer paid with coins that he dont like to be paid with coins, he asked me why I was buying kolaches if I dont have any bills or a credit card to pay for it. at this point I couldnt believe that this guy was telling me all this kind of stuff and believe it or not up to that moment I was still thinking that this was all some sort of joke. So I asked him if he was mad for real He then scream at me to get out of his store, that he dont like my kind of client. Up to this moment I couldnt do anything but just smile and tell him that he need to fix his attitude that if he dont like to work with customers he should be doing something else for living. Please do yourself a favor an avoid this Place is specially if you are short on cash and only have coins to pay for your kolaches.
The best donuts amazing staff is very kind
This place is delicious and always wonderful! Quick and happy customer service.
This guy is so FREAKING rude. I literally just now went in asked for a kolache, got a water, and asked for a chocolate donut, I have no idea why but this enraged him, but he started yelling that he was out of chocolate and what was in the window was all he had. I have never been treated like this by someone that I am trying to pay for a product, I just walked out. I will never go back here lol just incredible....
This is my favorite donut shop OF ALL TIME! The donut holes are light and delicious. And my absolute favorite is the cronut (croissant donut)! I have gone to a few of the trendy gourmet donut places in the metroplex but none of them compare to this place. Even my sister who worked in a donut shop making donuts for 6 months thought these were the best. Seriously, you have to try them. My personal faves: donut holes, cronut, sour cream old fashion, croissant pig in a blanket. Sisters fav: chocolate donut holes. Brothers fav: cronut holes (not the same as the full size, these are baked not fried, and not as great in my opinion)
Clean, friendly, kolaches are great! Nice selection.
I typically come to this donut shop once or so a month, and the service ok. The Older Lady who typically service me is friendly enough and displays ok customer service. However, today the Older Gentlemen who is typically in the back was ringing up customers and actually had a line for the first time ever. When I entered a Older African American women was being checked out and she had some questions on her order that the older man quickly dismissed and ringed her up. I wasnt privy to the prior conversation so I dismissed it, since it was none of my business. The Yong Lady in front of me gave her order, the guy made small talk with her, she paid, then left. Now its my turn, I asked for 2 large kolaches and 2 small kolaches, he got them, then warmed them up in the microwave. I tried to make small talk and ask about his wife, he asked if I wanted spicy or reg kolaches . I was like ok..when he ran my card I asked I can use credit, he said put in your number, I then restated that I wanted to use credit, he did reiterated for me to put in my number. By time another customer came in and was waiting, so now I felt rushed so just excepted this guys rude insisting that I put in my pin number. Then after the transaction I asked for my receipt. He said, that I didnt need a receipt. WHAT?? I said, Yes I do need one, he then said no I didnt! (BREAK: Look, Im not trying to be the Angry Black Women but come on!! How come I didnt receive the same customer service as the young WHITE lady infront of me. I was pleasant, I didnt ask for anything that I shouldnt, plus and most importantly IM A PAYING CUSTOMER!!! Why couldnt I use CREDIT??? How come I was told NO when I asked for a receipt??? What is the Deal??)So instead of making a scene I just left with my kolaches passed the young black guy who was the customer after me, we exchanged looks and left, to NEVER return. Im tired of fighting this war and if the only thing I could do is write this review and NEVER visit this place again, thats what I will do! Thank you
Asked for a cup of water after eating my meal here and he said they dont offer free cups of water you have to pay to have water ...
Rude started speaking different languages when he got frustrated with my kids and me. NEVER AGAIN
Why don’t you just close your donut store, you obviously don’t care about the customers. The old guy that works there is terrible with people.... really rude... I will never go back.
My daughters and I walked in and DID NOT get acknowledged at all! The man at the front was extremely rude!!! We turned right back around!! This place will get NONE of business!
