Ive made a couple of stops and been very pleased w the donuts and the people! They carry decorated donuts if your little one prefers Hello Kitty or Minions. They fill donuts on the spot. She even fixed sausage wraps on Saturday before Noon...great small brunch snack while running around.

I love going here. Her doughnuts are always fresh. Best apple fritter around, even Cali doughnut places cant compare. She uses tons of real apple pieces in the fritter. They dont look big but they sure fill you up! Where else can you get extra for free. They toss extras every single time you go.

Go there every Friday Saturday and Sunday for glaze and they load up with the little extra donut holes. Cheaper and taster than the national chain.

The glaze here is to die for also the kolache are good!

Have you ever had a jelly donut where the last few bites had NO jelly in them? There may be others, but this is the first donut shop Ive been to where the the donut is sliced and the jelly is spread through the entire donut. Incredible (and fantastic)! The kolaches and cruellers were great too!

This is absolutely my favorite doughnut shop. I used to come here every week from the time I moved here in the late 90s to the time I graduated high school. The owner always knows my order and always so friendly and even though I dont go as often anymore, the lady still remembers my exact order from over 15 years ago and always asks how my family and I are doing.

This lady has been here for over 20 years smiling and serving donuts. Shes probably the backbone of the community. I heard the pope has already approved her for sainthood. The food is so affordable and its the best donut in town. She always gives extra donut holes. In fact, I think wed have world peace if everyone was served a donut from here. I always make a point to go when Im back in town.

HOLY MOLY!!! These are the best donuts Ive ever eaten! I dont live here, and I came with my local friend (it was her first time too). The donuts were light and soft and perfect. They literally melt in your mouth. And we got a couple free donut holes with our donuts which was really nice. This is a must try. Ill be coming every time Im in Dallas.

Sonny Donuts is the best donut place ever! The lady running it is so sweet and often gives little bonus donuts. Kolaches are the best Ive ever had, not just your basic frozen ones, but made fresh with love!

They were completely horrible and so terribly rude. There was a little girl that went up there to order donuts while her mom still in the back because she wanted to do it like a big girl and a guy at the register with the biggest attitude rolled his eyes at her is that where is your mother. And then when I came up to order my donuts he was nothing but rude had the biggest attitude throwing my food and tossing my receipt . I do not recommend this place that service and bad workers I even asked them I hope you have a wonderful day and he didnt give me a response

I drove 15 miles because a reviewer said this place has great cinnamon rolls. They do not have cinnamon rolls, they have cinnamon donuts. Huge difference.

I am currently eating my first batch of donuts and kolaches from this location and they are exactly what I wanted when I went for donuts on a whim at 6 AM. I literally just took another bite of a cinnamon cruller and am about to have a sip of milk. Jealous? You should be. Other notable favorites include carrot cake donut w/ cream cheese frosting, pumpkin bread donut (seasonal) and much more. If this isnt the closest donut shop to you, I suggest you drive the extra few miles for a perfect donut experience. The owner is also extremely friendly and generous!

Our go-to. A small mom-and-pop shop where the doughnuts are always fresh with a great variety, plenty of drink options (but if you’re looking for frou-frou coffee, head to Starbucks across the street), and the people there are great.

First time in. My husband works in the area and when im in the area this early I like to try out new donut shops. Usually Im left disappointed with the same donut taste that every shop seems to have and nothing original. however this place was a WIN. The lady was so sweet and even threw in a few cinnamon donut holes with my glazed donuts and said they were her favorite ( which I understand why and cant wait to buy next time Im in the area). Good stuff...as for the kolaches (nothing special but other things made up for it Good customer service and donuts were tasty and fresh.

I have tried multiple donut stores in the area and this is the best one.

This place is your standard asian doughnut, but the way he makes them are fantastic. The doughnuts are fluffy but have a very nice chewiness to them. Glaze is done very well not to much and not all flakey. Definitely a go to shop and worthy of trying multiple times.

Needed some kolaches for a district meeting were having here at the office. I pretty much just googled and went off of reviews to find the best there was. Stumbled upon Sonnys Donuts and decided to go get a sample. The atmosphere is just absolutely welcoming. There was a mother and her 2 children inside chatting with Sonny when I arrived. I introduced myself as I had called earlier to ask about prices and such. She not only gave me a FANTASTIC deal, she also gave me samples of her donut holes and cinnamon rolls to try. She was so friendly, interested in my job, and just absolutely wonderful. I get back to the office and share the samples with my boss who is absolutely thrilled! Her kolaches are the BEST I have EVER eaten. And the cinnamon rolls, OMG literally to die for. You think your mouth watered before...Needless to say, Sonny Donuts will continue to receive our business when we need to place big orders in the future!

I was told this was the best place for donuts in Plano but Im not sure if that person had tried every Donut shop in Plano. Dont get me wrong, I went there, the folks that run the place are very friendly and I was given a handful of gratis holes for the $18 dollars I spent there.Now lets get to the facts, the Donuts there are very common in the Asian Donut world, I mean you can go anywhere and get these, nothing special, but not the worst, just common. They sell a novelty mini cinnamon roll that the kids liked, but when I asked them if it was the best they ever had, I got blank stares, and kids never pull punches when it comes to food.To be a judge of Donuts you must first try the best in the State of Texas which is, in my humble opinion, Roundrock Doughnuts in the town of Roundrock just north of Austin. Of coarse you cant just make a little trip to the town of Roundrock, but you can get an idea of what real yeast Doughnuts, that are tinted yellow because of the farm fresh eggs they use, are like. Until then, my search continues in Plano, and back to Top Pot or Hypnotic in Dallas

I usually hit a shop once a month and get a couple dozen and a dozen Kolaches for my co-workers. I went to Sonny Donuts for the first time this morning after being aggravated that my usual donut shop once again had the lights off and no open sign 20+ minutes after opening time. This will be my new spot! Move over Krispy Kreme. Youve got NOTHING on the fresh, hot glazed donut the owner gave me after telling her it was my first time there. The donuts are fantastic, but my favorite part was that she told me I brought her luck because I bought that many donuts as her first customer of the day. :) Delicious donuts/kolaches and friendly service? Yes, please!
