Very helpful at first when ordering the stain for a couple projects, but after my customer changed their mind about the color the chose i called Mariella to ask if there was a possibility to return the unused stain, she told me to send it back for a refund. I tried to send it back trough Fedex but i was advised to ask the seller to send me labels or order a pickup since sending it back myself would be more expensive than the cost of the stain itself. I called Mariella and she promised me that she would request a pick up from Fedex and after that we would square away the refund. Months went by, several emails and phone calls ignored I am still waiting for what she promised. Really disappointed with this company.UPDATE: If sending an follow up email after a month saying:Hi Mariella,you forgot to send me Fedex to pick up the stain!Let me know when you can.Thank youIf this is considered pushing and bullying by you I dont know what to say...Good luckRuben M.
I own a stain company in Plano and have worked closely with this company for years. Two weeks ago we purchased 10 gallons of stain that was mixed incorrectly. It was supposed to be Oak, but it was black(no brown at all). Now, we have an upset customer with a black fence that left my company bad reviews. I am attempting to make it right for my customer out of my own pocket costing me $955. When we contacted TWP to let them know what happened, sent them proof of purchase and pictures of the black fence, I was told by the owner, Tom Baker, that it was my fault for spraying it on the fence (even though my tech had never used the color so he had no idea it was wrong). There was no apology or any effort to make it right other than offering to replace the buckets of stain ($200 value). He was rude on the phone and continued to point the blame at my company while accepting no responsibility. I told him I will not be working with them anymore if he was not willing to help make this situation right(we are large account for them) and he blew it off and said fine. This is just terrible customer service and a rude and ignorant owner who clearly doesnt appreciate repeat loyal customers. I will not be working with this company anymore.In response to your response:Your response fails to acknowledge the issue here. We had to apply the rest of the black stain to the fence after only staining a portion so it would be consistent once we fixed it. She did not want a two tone fence. After finishing staining the fence with the wrong color, on purpose the next day to keep it consistent, we had to clean the fence 3 times to try to remove the stain that was mixed incorrectly. We then had to apply our own color to make her happy. We offered to comp the cost for the trouble. I nicely called and explained this to your company simply looking for a solution and we were immediately told it was out fault. We have been working together for years and you told us we were to blame. The stain you sold us was BLACK. We have purchased over 2000 gallons of stain from Texas Wood Products since 2011. Apparently you dont have good records because you told our customer you had no record of us buying this color. My company stains over 2000 fences per year, so we are not trying to get something for free. In this situation, your owner treated us like we were amateurs when we approached you with the issue. We were told it was our fault because we were the middle man. You told us it was impossible for you to make a mistake and it was our fault. Clearly, your one guy mixing stain in the back of the warehouse is capable of an error. All I asked for was for you to work with me. I did let you talk, you denied, denied, and denied the problem over and over. You stated repeatedly that it was our fault. Your owner is rude and incompetent. You did give us some stain, that we didnt need and that was appreciated. Your cost to make 10 gallons of stain is less than $100. Your owner said give them 10 gallons because he didnt want to hear about the issue and continue to push blame on us.You were nice enough to throw in an extra 5 gallons without consent. It costed my company $955 to correct the issue, plus the cost of the bad product, some bad online reviews, and our time. This is not about money, its about customer service and the principle. We prefer to do business with companies that accept fault when appropriate and appreciate the hundreds of thousands in revenue.I have attached a picture of the fence that was cleaned properly and ended up black based on your improperly mixed stain color. You told us we applied to much stain and it was our fault That is just bad business. We understand stain can look different based on age and condition of fences. This is what we do every day, all day so we clearly know the industry. I saw this fence cleaned and it looked like new before we applied this stain. This review is more than accurate and your customer service, especially with your owner, is terrible.
Excellent customer service. We are from Killeen Tx; we order the product and we have it at our door the next day. Ms Mariella answer all my questions and was always in her disposition to help. Great quality products and great company. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
HORABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. As a professional home builder. I do not recommend you use this company. You may not ever see your product or money ever again.Response. YOU ARE A LIER. The only time you spent with me was to unlock the card to get the money. When I called to ask where my product was you told me if didnt get the product I had to call fed ex it was my problem. And hung up on me twice. I never requested any kind of change in the order. I will be taking the 60 bottles of your product and be posting an online review of your company. You can take the time to see how I leave reviews when it affects you on social media but you cant take time call fed ex and support your customers. After a builder that I trust recommended Texas Wood Products I purchased Bakers Gray Away to use on my fences. After watching my neighbors using stains from better know manufacturer I am glad that I went to Texas Wood Products. The Bakers Gray Away stain has outlasted all of the stains that my neighbors used and saved me a lot of time and money. The staff at Texas wood product have always been very nice and helpful without trying to push me to buy more than I needed. As an added bonus you can help support a local business instead of one of the big box stores.
