We only take our vehicles here for new tires and have done so since at least the year 2000. They always have the tires I want (I research elsewhere) and at competitive prices.

Always intimidating to drive into, always relieved that they treat me kindly and never talk down to me even if I’m clueless on how to maintain my car...Especially tire pressure. I work. I have kids. I have multiple years of work experience and degrees but I cannot manage my tire pressure. You get it. Don’t go anywhere else.It smells like you’d expect, it’s got a sign in counter like you’d expect, and the place is filled with men. But they are professional, aware, have great customer service, will not up-charge or add things to your “service,” and the best is I usually stop by every 3-6months or so to just have them check my tires... there’s a guy who is always out there and he knows his stuff and they don’t charge you to check tire pressure.When I first moved to the area, I droveAround and looked and peered in, and all of that. Don’t go to the local gas stations or anywhere else. This place is my go-to. I’ve had oil changes, have dropped off and left my car, and obviously the air pressure checks... always a good experience.

The owner and staff here are honest and reliable, and I feel good referring business here because of that. When it comes to car work, its sometimes hard to find trustworthy shops but this is definitely one of them! With services in tires, brakes, batteries, and more, Josh will take care of your vehicle and get you back on the road again safely.

Low tire pressure indicator light can man something simple, 1-5 tires low, only spare is low, show leak. Quickly checked tires and found 4 low pressure in mounted tires, no puncture. Quickly done with a smile.

They didnt put oil in after a scheduled WHEELS fleet oil change causing the engine to need replaced. That is not nearly the worse part. They are now lying and saying first that I didnt come in, second that I had the car towed in, and third and finally that I came in saying the engine was bad and that I asked them to not let my manager know. All lies that are easily disproven.This is a company vehicle and my manager approves every oil change and repair. I have receipts and emails and witnesses who dropped me off and watched me pull up and leave.I HAVE NEVER MET WITH A MORE DISHONEST OR INCOMPETENT COMPANY IN MY LIFE!

Joshs dad passed away recently and the business has kept running smoothly. Most of the staff have been with the store for quite awhile so you can depend on getting a good result regardless of who you might have work on your vehicle. No hard sell, lots of options available for all financial situations.

03/18/2020I came to change my 4 tires.Apparently I had to change the brakes as well.I finally paid $1500 for all this.I would have been fine with that.But just leaving the shop and after a few miles lot of smokes and the back tire were super hot.I went back to the shop the next day where they told me they will fix it.Got the car back half a day later.I went to Santa Cruz the following day and after a few miles from my house, lot of smoke again and tires/brakes were burning hot.I went to a tire shop the closest on the road.They redid the brakes installation and told me it was not done properly, part were not cleaned and regreassed, leaving the brakes always blocking the wheels.This cost me an additional $250. I am going to the shop today to get reimbursed this extra work.Will see how it goes.8/10/2020So after 4 months of back and forth between the shop in Pleasanton, Big-O-Tire customer service (which BTW have to wait 45 minutes each time to speak with them), Big-O-Tire Sales Helpline, nobody has heard of my claim, that was originally submitted at the very shop by a representative of the Pleasanton team. But I am not giving up. Still calling here and there when I get a chance.If you have a choice, I would not recommend you going there...8/15/2020I contacted directly the shop once again and was put in touch with the Manager Josh Cherry.He explained to me that the insurance company was not doing thee job properly so he refunded me of the additional cost I had experience straight away. He dealt with the insurance company later on his own.So long story short I finally got reimbursed. I took 5 months. I guess I am changing my rating from one star to 2 stars thanks to the owner Josh. But seriously, they should be careful with the work they do there and all be as nice an polite as Josh Cherry!

They always work hard to fix my car and they take the time to explain everything so I leave with a clear understanding of whats going on with my car. They are honest and reliable. Ive been using this shop for about 7 yr now. Long story, but I needed to swap tires between cars for awhile and they went out of their way to accommodate me. Then recently, I purchased 3 year alignment and then my car was totalled. They xferd my alignment warranty to my new car. I challenge you to find any other shop that would do that. I cant recommend this shop more highly.Update on 8/9/19: I whacked a rear tire on a curb in a narrow alley and put a cut on the sidewall. Then to even things out, I overreacted and hit the front tire on the other curb. Brand new car, brand new tires, so I was afraid i was going to need a new high performance tire + 4 wheel alignment. They inspected the tires and determined the cut was ugly, but safe, so i just needed the alignment. They could have easily sold me a new tire, but these guys value honesty over profits.Thats why Im a repeat customer. Go there. You wont regret it.

Sent me home with a rear brake that clunked after a complete brake jump. Called, explained, dropped it off and asked them if they wanted to take a ride to hear the problem. They said No well drive it and seeCalled 6 hours later, (reasonable time) to say car was ready.Great I thought. Proceeded to suggest 4 other repairs, which sounded reasonable and likely valid and which I was going to approve. But when I asked if they fixed the issue, they said they couldnt reproduce the sound.. Clearly they had not driven the Van..I was pretty disappointed at that point. I said Ill come by.As soon as I got there, the technician came out and said Yeah I just drove it down the driveway and I did hear the sound.. Ill fix it. At least he was completely honest. I think the service writer did not describe my issue to the tech, or said it was a suspension issue, and the tech was looking for something else.. In the end Service writer said the shoes needed adjustment. All in all not great service writing. The brake job itself is now fine. Technician seemed honest

Just when you thought you couldnt have better service; the boys at Pleasanton Big O come along and out do themselves! All of the boys from Josh, Will, Ron, Daniel, Ed, and the rest are so hospitable they treat you better than family. The expertise that Ron, head mechanic, shows through facilitating the work through his boys is a sight to see. You can tell they respect him in the way they try to do more than he asks them. Josh and Will are not just sales guys; they know what they are talking about, and do nothing but make their customers feel safe with every decision, and never pressured. Where do you find people like this? I had spent more than 45 years in business, and have never seen such a cohesive crew.

A BIGG BIGG NO to this store and brand.One mistake I did was choosing them to change one wheel and a tire, I had to make 8-10 visits and had to waste 15-20 hours of my time.They are such incapable of doing such a small job.They had replaced the tire like 4 times and each time I use their tire my car shows TPMS warning and when i put back spare or my old tire everything is good. Each time the problem come they have a good story to build up the reason.They were suggesting me to change all the tires. (Thank god I did not trust them by then)Actual problem: They always used wrong tires. The tire they used not even meant for my vehicle line.

Bought 5 new tires with valves, balancing and road warranty. The balancing work was terrible. I watched the technicians balancing the tires and they couldnt get the weights to stay on the tires. As I drove away from the shop weights flew off the tires. I had to go back and have them do it again. Still didnt work. Got home to Idaho and had a Big-O shop in Meridian correct the problems. The Pleasanton shop had also cross threaded one of the lug bolts, which had to be broken off and replaced. I really cant recommend the Pleasanton, California Big-O Tire shop to anyone.

Will not be going back, ever. Long time customer, bought tires today. Had priced the tires on their website and saw a $50 rebate. At the end of the transaction, I asked about the rebate and was told that is was only if I used their credit card.Was never offered that information through the purchase process. I stated it would have been nice if it was offered. Bradys response you didnt ask. No attempt to fix the issue or resolve.

Ive been a customer for many years for standard oil, tire and other maintenance services and items. Recently though, decided to go big and upgrade to new wheels, mufflers, tires, bumpers full suspension (Fox 2.0), grill and bumpers. Everything went smoothly until the front and rear bumpers which simply did not match the my F150. What impressed me was that Jeff at BigO went beyond all expectations and did multiple installs/removals until we both realized the bumpers were simply not going to work. He stepped up and negotiated with supplier to accept the bumpers as returns and only charged me original install even though they actually did it twice. Its rare to find a shop that will take care of you like this; even more rare to find someone like Jeff who came in on his day off to take care of a customer. I simply cannot recommend the this BigO shop enough to anyone. Thanks Jeff!

The girl at the counter wasnt the most upbeat or nicest person. But they got my tires changed in about an hour, which isnt bad.

Made appointment but the associate cant find that. It took more than one and a half hour, the waiting room was not a professional and was so cold in a chilly day.

Be warned, SLEAZY business practices at the Big o tires store.Have a new car that caught a screw in the tire. Took it done to the shop, they came out and looked at the tire, and said they can fixed it no problem. Gave them all my information and and they said they couldnt do it right now, but committed to getting it done that day. Received a call 30min later (they waited for me to leave and get home) telling me that they couldnt fix it, and I should buy all new tires from them. The screw is in the very top, which is clearly fixable, but they think that once you get home, you dont want to go through the effort of taking it somewhere else so they push replacement tires. What happened to honest business practices?? What ever happens to them, I can tell you theyre are not here!!!
