This review is for their catering service.I couldn’t even explain how bad the quality of food was. This is hands down the worst catered food in the Bay Area.All the dishes were watered down to just fill the tray with no flavor. They literally ruined the Diwali party this year.Please avoid their catering and just stick to their grocery store.

So this place these days are recruiting very rude staff in the food section, who are only interested in serving to those who order a full meal. While people line up and wait for someone to take their order, the staff only caters to those in the meals section. So many people including us had to wait and return. The food is amazing though, if luck permits.

The store is good, has fresh veggies and get almost everything when I need it. I really liked the food at the counter but taking off stars because of the rude cashier lady! She needs to take classes for customer service..

This review is about Pleasanton branch. The food poor quality. We are used to comparing with Fremont location as we lived there. For example, got Samosas on Sunday morning between 11:30 and noon. Would expect to be fresh. To my disappointment they were cold, they were clearly stored overnight. We loved Khanan at Fremont location, the ones in Pleasanton are pathetic. They are damaging the brand. Had high hopes, now will go back to other stores until they stop taking us for granted.

Rude Store manager. Wish he would have learned some customer handling skills before working there. Went for Friday morning shopping as usual and at the checkout their machine did not accept the card. I called my credit card company and they said there is no problem in your card. I would have respectfully left the store without any shopping but store manager said he will try processing my card. So I waited there for 15 minutes until he was checking out 10 to 12 people before trying to process my bill. While everyone was looking at me like I came there for free shopping. At last after 20 minutes he tried it and since the machine was giving same error he just left in the middle. He could have nicely told me “ sorry, you can not do shopping with us today” 🙄. They are running such a big store and store manager doesn’t even know how to handle such simple situation rather than making customer embarrassed and running away from situation.

Terrible service . Got stale food and they don’t care about the customer service. People were cutting line and the lady at the checkout counter didn’t even care.

I used to pick up food from this location when it was operated by other management & it was fresh always. Recently I bought couple of currie after ICC bought it- Paneer and Chana masala but both are testless. It looks they made it from tomato sauce. It also upset our stomach. I think their Menus are fresh but food not fresh.

Great selection and prices on everything. However, when I went before 10pm on a Saturday night there was a line of 9 people and one cashier open. The checkout was VERY slow. I looked over a few times and saw the cashier with his phone on his left ear and doing everything with his right hand. He could be checking people out more than twice as fast if he used both hands. Not sure if it was an off day or not...🤔

Shame on you for selling such products that hurt other people. Look at it! It is nothing but black color and how can you not check a product before you sell? It is hurting my skin and nail so much. Buying a mehendi cone for the sake of celebration turned into a fiasco because you people decided to buy cheaper products and sell them here! How careless can people be? I requested to speak to the manager and guess what the evasive manager doesn’t show up? You will hear from consumer report agency .. you already loot consumers with high prices during the pandemic and on top of that cannot even maintain basic quality for sake of health?

Most Favourite Indian store of Trivalley!! Also love the Samosas, Dal makhni and Malai Kofta from the food counter here. They usually put up Ghee and Dals on sale before festivals. Fresh lentils and veggies!! Love it. I bought a marble mortar pestle once, at a very good price, compared to other Indian stores nearby! Highly recommend

Today I have ordered rotis & curries and the rotis are pretty bad and they are like papad. I went asked the food counter people that the rotis are not fresh. The food counter lady was rude and argued that the food would fresh if re-heat it. She simply threw away food and did not even return my money. Please treat customer with respect and return their money when your product/food is pathetic.

Apna bazaar renamed to Asia Bazaar under new management. Always loved shopping here. It’s bigger and more spacious. I mostly get all the items I needed at the store.

Food counter review: New people at food counter are very rude and cheaters. For kofta order, the guy said he is putting 5 balls but ended up in putting just 4 and for jilebi order (the box which used to be $3.99 few months back), the new lady charged me $6.99. If you ask any question, the answer is not customer friendly and is abrupt. I will never ever shop at the food counter.

Fresh market it’s such a wonderful feeling when you walk in here, everyone is so helpful and friendly, they have everything from fresh vegetables and Punjabi ingredients they also have a delivery online

Poor sense of customer safety - The floor was not just wet but had small puddles of water and my wife slipped and fell. Thankfully it was only a sprain and she did not get hurt seriously. i asked them to put a sign and also mop the floor and the guy in the store started giving excuses rather than acknowledge and think of ways to avoid/minimize such accidents

Large selection of items but the quality of vegetables are really questionable at times. Another thing is that too many of their own folks maintaining no social distance scares me.

Dont trust their sale. They put a price in the shelf and while billing they will use different pricing. If you catch them and ask, they will give some BS. You have lost of a customer and if this continues, they wont be any more customers soon.

Most kind indian spices and groceries. Fresh Produce is good quality. I like there custom assorted chopped vegetables for recipes. Food is good as well. Must try here is Parathas, Chana bhatoora. Clean and lot of check out counters.

To begin with VERY DISAPPOINTING! For the first time I used their online ordering system and ordered for home delivery. Delivery window was 6pm to 8pm yesterday. Owing to the pandemic I’d asked them to leave the package outside and call me. I checked at 10:30 pm before I went to bed... nothing at my doorstep.. the packages were delivered at 11:20 with a prompt text informing the delivery made. We were asleep by then and by the time we saw the text ( this morning) and rushed the items into the fridge, 3 gallons of milk went bad and grated Coconut had thawed completely(reminder- August 14, night temp itself was about 70f). A call from them informing us of the delay would have helped us reschedule delivery time....VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!

It has everything an Indian household requires. It was very crowded but. They also have tea and biscuits as snack. Also,lots of variety of cooked food items.

The Veggies are always fresh, the stay is friendly and helpful. This store is open 24 hours so it helps alot to be able to shop late at night.

Apna Bazar was a store I loved: open 24 hours, most International grocery available at a reasonable rate, and helpful employees. Then, came the pandemic. A day before the lockdown, as usual, I went there to stock up on my grocery. Guess what. They removed the price tags from all the shelves. I asked the employee where the price tags are. He said to me the prices have changed; you may have to check at the register. Anyway, I took a bunch of groceries and went to register to pay. I was disgusted by the way they behaved. Everything was a dollar or two more. When we looked at the receipt, I came to know they overcharged me by possibly 40%. Everyone in the neighborhood groups was talking about it: how the owners of this establishment took advantage of us, their customers during a time of need. None of the other grocery stores did this. Someone complained to DA. Now they are being investigated by the Alameda County DA for price gouging.

Once i was the loyal customer for this store . But never again from here after. I do see the prices grown up compared to other stores. Will check back once after the pandamic over.hopefully they be back to normal prices

Worst experience ever. Online shopping is just so bad they cant deliver on time as scheduled . Online app does not even show the estimated date/ time until the order is placed. If anyone expecting instacart or whole foods quality of service then this is the wrong store to buy groceries. The worst part is customer service. They cant even speak proper English they dont try to understand the issue or try to resolve it . We have to call 10 times to follow up with the order. I ordered for 103$ charged my cc for 124$. After all the struggle the order was delivered to wrong address. @Apna Bazar in response to your reply you should try to resolve customers problems instead you are causing customers lot of troubles.

In times of crisis, local businesses should be pillars within their community. The owner of Apna Bazar took another approach and decided to price gouge is loyal customers. Never planning to step foot in this location again and strongly encourage folks to be very wary before purchasing anything from here in the future.Inventory quality and expiration status is also hit and miss. Gross.

Well stocked, and thankfully open 24hrs, i work late hours at a local hospital and needed to pick up basic groceries on my way home walking up i could see that they sanitized their carts which is a plus, prices didnt seem any steeper than the grocery stores i regularly go to, and the staff were friendly and helpful, over all nice small grocery store deff will visit again after work for last minute pick ups

Again got disappointed by these guys so not going back again. I was excited when they initially opened 24/7 store in Pleasanton and was their regular customer. They embarrassed the entire Indian community with price gouging during COVID-19. I stopped going there but then gave them a second chance few weeks back. They recommended their online ordering and I ordered online. The prices are really high than store prices and half of the items were not available. The website was slow and after struggling for some good period of time, I finally placed the order. The delivery person rang the bell and I opened the door after few mins. The delivery guy was gone and bags were wide open with few items on the floor. NOT GOING BACK!!!

Extensive selection, way bigger and better than other nearby Indian markets. But the bathroom was disgusting to the point I couldnt use it. It was completely dirty, the soap dispenser didnt work or was empty, and there were no paper towels. Even so, I would still come back to shop and recommend this market to others.

Price Gouger Alert! The owner of this store has been price gouging it’s customers since at least March 2020 ever since the Covid-19 crisis began. I used to frequent this store earlier but myself noticed higher prices in late March. I once saw the owner shout and rudely kick a customer out of the store for some reason. Previously I had asked him the manufacturing location, ingredient lists, and expiry dates of the bulk Namkeen sold in store but he declined saying that “it’s fresh and a trade secret”. Go figure. The nerve of this guy to stick up members of his own community in a time of crisis. A person’s moral character comes out only during a challenge!

Apna Bazar deserves zero stars! They are taking advantage of customers during this outbreak by ridiculously raising their prices. We went to their store today to see what we could get and all of the old prices were blacked out and the remaining items had their price stickers removed. When we asked the employees there what the prices were they said they dont know. This is unacceptable! We should be coming together as a community and helping each other out during these times. Its unfortunate that Apna Bazar feels this is the time to raise prices and leach as much money as they can from scared and panicking customers. I will take this issue to the state and I suggest my fellow consumers that shop there do the same.

Beware of Apna Bazar‘s Mischievous and Shady Practices. I’d read numerous complaints on Nextdoor about Apna Bazar at Pimlico. Since I had been shopping there before, out of habit I made a grocery run yesterday to this place. They charged $100 on a frozen food item that was supposed to be for $5. I didn’t realize it first but went back and upon questioning, their response was a simple shrug of the shoulder with a casual “mistakes happen”.If you shop here be very careful and double check your receipt. They seem to sneak in these overcharges hoping some might not notice it.

Increased price during my visit over the weekend. The price listed on the shelf tag was $2 less than when i checked out. They were price gouging during a national emergency. It’s illegal and not the right thing to do. I asked at the counter and the lady ignored me then asked if I wanted to return the item. Very disappointed.

They have a very complete selection of India groceries that rival those in NYC. They are very clean and I appreciate the fact that they offer great prices and that they are open 24 hrs. Finally a great place to buy quality Indian groceries, fresh vegetables and fruits, and some cooked Indian food as well for reasonable price. Also open for 24 hours - cant ask for more. Ample parking in the lot, though can get a little busy going out or coming in. Friendly & helpful stuff. Will be here again.

Unfortunately a lot of packed items are placed/sold over here which are right on the verge of expiry. This has happened in multiple visits with multiple items. Sodas/oil/general snacks to name a few. Generally you can’t review every item before purchase, for expiry date. Also they are slightly expensive than other stores. I wrote this review because it’s a frustrating experience to buy items which will be used over the course of the next few months and then find out that it will expire soon.

After the initial opening offers, the price of items went up. My original review was a 5 star review as I was surprised about the price and opening hours. I have edited this to 2 star as I noticed the price of grocery is more than nearby Indian groceries now along with some very poor quality kitchen items. If they continue these prices, I dont think they can last here. The only positive thing I can say about this store now is that the other nearby stores reduced their prices with more flexibility in their timing.

Very good, well organized and clean Indian store. The prices for products are also great and they have a great variety. They have counters for snacks and sweets as well.

Punjab Singh a Best Employee at Apna Bazaar Pleasanton and very hard work. The Location of the Store is Near freeway and store is 24 hours which make convenient for customers to come. I went Today after work between 6:15pm to 7:30 pm. I asked help to almost 5 Employees And they just say look this place look that place and they are on their cell phones rather than helping customers. Two women Cashiers super slow and Ready to go home if you ask questions they always ask help to other Employees.
