Place was great. Get the upside down for little kids. 6 yr old found it hard to hold and eat. Combination of flavors were good. The was Generous about the toppings. If your kid doesnt like soggy waffle may be just the soft serve will do. We all loved soggy ice creamed faloved waffle after the ice cream. Something fancy for summer break.

When we went,line is still kinda long but worth the wait! Price is very reasonable. Sometimes new! Love it and definitely would come back again!

The ice cream is creamy! staff is always friendly & line moves quickly no matter how busy. the coffee stuff is good too. I approve of the ube. & whoever doesnt get a Nutella filled fish waffle need to git!!!

So basically this is a SOFT SERVE ice cream store with Fish waffles filled with filling (custard, Nutella, etc). BUT THEY ARE SO DELICIOUS and a nice change from just regular Ice cream with simple toppings. We came here on a Sunday and it was pretty packed. The Nutella filled waffle went well with the Oreo/milk ice cream. They add a mini macaron cookie onto of that!There are many other flavored ice cream choices and fillings for the waffles. Customer service was excellent and the employees were super friendly. We will stop by again!

The soft serve was delicious, not too sweet. The waffle cone was crunchy on the outside but nice and fluffy on the inside. The Taiyaki was also yummy, not too sweet, just right. The service was great, very friendly.

Awesome tasting soft serve with a variety of options - flavors, cups, or with waffle fish. Today there was an option for honeydew and mango swirl, which my husband got and loved. I got a more common matcha and taro swirl, and it was very good. I got my soft serve in the cup, but opted for upside down waffle fish (fish stuck on top of the soft serve) with red bean filing. I believe i saw my combination costing $7.50 (?), which i believe is steep. Just a soft serve in a cup is under $4, which i believe is reasonable. All soft serve have the option of a topping of either strawberry or macaron, AND topping of choc rice krispies, oreo cookies crumbs, coconut flakes, graham cracker crumbs, or rainbow rice krispies. Overall, we really enjoyed our dessert and we shall be back for more.

This is the second somi somi I went. First one was in Sacramento. However I felt this one have better favor and the bread on top is more crispy. Finally get to try the taro and matcha mix one, very delicious. Also ordered the Oreo and milk favor, also really tasty. Even there is no dine in but There is a place next to 85 degrees and you can sit there to enjoy! Will definitely come back again and highly recommend this location!

There was quite a bit of a line up but the service was reasonably quick. The taiyaki was very tasty (both the red bean and taro fillings were delicious). The chewy texture of the taiyaki is reminiscent of mochi donuts and not just normal breaded pastry. Would definitely recommend trying the taiyaki out.

The ube ice cream is wonderful. It definitely competes for my favorite flavor of ice cream. This is one of the few deserts I would go out of my way for.

Oreo ice cream with Nutella stuffed fish waffle km the left and on the right a coffee and Matcha with some delicious clustered filling in the fish waffle. Super super delicious. Would definitely recommend it and looking forward to get some next time I’m in the area.

Delicious soft serve icecream including Green tea flavor. Not too sweet and very creamy. The pastry fish is crunchy on the outside and sticky on the inside. Plenty of parking week days and can fill up on the weekends. Walking distance from the outlet.

So glad that this store has no line at all (probably also because of COVID).My husband and I have been doing date nights getting ice-cream here since Christmas season! Lol

Somi somi has multiple locations and I have been to all three of them in the Bay. I really like somi somi because of their fresh tayaki and their soft serve ice creams! All of the locations are in really good locations and if you are looking into some great soft serves, I recommend this place!I have tried several flavors and by far, my favorite is the milk tea ice cream because it’s like a play on milk tea and it’s sweet! I really like how it’s creamy and soft, however, I wish I knew what kind of tea it was, it would be helpful but whatever the tea is, I really like it!Ube was another flavor I tried and I find that flavor okay only because I didn’t really get that nutty taste I was looking for in Ube. It tasted more like the milk flavor (which that flavor taste really delicious) but I’m looking for what distinguishes the Ube from the milk.I really like the matcha flavor soft serve because you get this sweet and bitterness balance that every matcha flavor has! They do a really good job balancing the flavors and not making anything too overpowering. I applaud them very much!The black sesame was nutty and bitter which I really liked in the black sesame. I thought the flavor was really delicious and i get that black sesame flavor you look for in black sesame ice cream!Overall, the flavors were really delicious and smooth! I do recommend this place to any ice cream fans out there!

Ice cream is really good, selection is limited, but overall not bad.Taiyaki takes a while to prepared, but thats pretty normal.

One of my new found favorite dessert. I especially like the Taiyaki with either the custard or red bean filling. Its a must try when it is fresh from the oven.

Customer service is very bad. I went there for the first time and when asked for recommendations, she dint even answer a simple question.. we took a taiyaki- the fish cone and the ice cream started melting in few mins..

Absolutely refreshing!Their Milk and Black sesame swirl is the perfect pick me up for those hot and dry summer days! Their swirls combo are predetermined and changes weekly. The week we went, they had Milk & Sesame swirl and Ube & Matcha swirl.If youre ever in the area (aka across the street in the Livermore outlet) then its worth a trip to get some yummy ice creams before heading back home :)! But be warned! These melt FAST in the summer sun! Its best to eat them before heading back into your car!

I like this place & would go back. but too crowded & NO social-distancing by customers. I stepped back & bumped into the person behind me; even though there are markers on the floor. the other draw-back is NO Cash, card or other form of payment. lastly, the tail-yaki {fish} didnt have much of the choice filling ; the soft-serve hit the spot.

Friendly and courteous staff but the quality of the snacks is not to my expectations. Hubby and I went to a similar ice cream shop (Coastal Cone and Parlor). OMG they had THE best soft serve (Love Planet). It was strawberry cheese cake. So when I checked for a similar shop and found Somisomi. Tried and have to be honest, disappointed. The ice cream was average and their taiyaki was also average. The taiyaki (Zookies) I had at Coastal Cone was indescribable. Coastal had either fudge, cream or nutella. I ate them the next day and they were still DELISH. However, somisomi’s were even “meh” after a few hours after I got home. Please keep in mind, this is just my take on somisomi but also keep in mind, I am a foodie.

Consistently yummy, I just wish the matcha soft serve flavor was stronger but the taiyaki itself has a nice crust and is chewy.

Cant get enough of this place. Im so glad they opened up this location. The ice cream is top notch, I recommend the Ube or Ube/Milk flavor. The fish cone is the best, far better than other similar places serving ice cream tayaki.

The milk and matcha swirl ice cream was very creamy and delicious! The custard and Nutella taiyaki flavors are very tasty!

The ice cream and fish shaped cones were very good. Thw cones were nice and crispy on the outside and doughy on the inside. It did a great job enhancing the flavor of the ice cream I had.

Tasty icecream but the Taiyaki is the reason to come. Could use more flavors but a good selection to please most people. They also have special swirl combos so check on line. I look forward to Covid restrictions being over so you can sample the flavors.

The taiyaki here was crunchy and I enjoyed the red bean filling. I thought the soft serve was just OK - had a somewhat syrupy/artificial aftertaste (I got the matcha/milk tea combo). They do serve their desserts in a large portion that’s great for sharing. However there is an Uji Time location across the plaza. I’d go there if you’re craving taiyaki.
