My son and I just went in there the other day for his check up turns out hes getting glasses just like mom. The eye Dr we see he is an amazing smart man. Another cool thing I DID NOT KNOW if you get glasses there you can bring them in to be fixed, cleaned, or adjusted. I was walking with tape on my right side and am earring acting as the screw on the left. This AMAZIMG GIRL fixed them for me in like five minutes and saved me a couple hundred. Cant wait to go back in when my sons glasses are ready!

Theyve been more than helpful! I went in for an eye exam and they offered to complete the contact exam same day, both were a breeze. This is my second visit to pay for glasses and contacts, they made it as easy as possible finding the information from my previous appointment. They also discussed a variety of options for my (low) budget.

My husband had an eye emergency on a Friday evening 15 minutes before they were closing. The staff stayed open to take care of him. He left there with his mind at ease knowing that if he were to have any problems throughout the night, he could contact them. His follow up visit the next morning was just as phenomenal as his first contact with them. They all did a great job. My husband is never an ideal patient but he truly felt he received the best care from the entire staff at Alameda Vision.

I went to Alameda Vision Center on the advice of my ophthamologist to get my new glasses. I bought 2 pair of safety glasses, I personal pair,, and a pair of sun glasses for my wife. Between my insurance and I it was over $800. We took home the sun glasses and in 2 weeks they called me to say that my personal glasses were in. The arm on my wifes sun glasses had already fallen off, (within 2 weeks) and we couldnt find it. We took the sunglasses back in to see if they could repair them, and even though we had spent that much $ with them, they would only replace the arm for another $55. We had only paid $45 for them. Six weeks later I finally received my safety glasses. I gave them 1 star because my glasses were done well, but they dont get any more stars because of the time to get the glasses, and the fact that they dont stand behind their product. No I did not pay them again for the sunglasses and this is the LAST time I will ever purchase anything from them.

I had a very good experience here. The ladies helping me with my new eyeglasses was great. Dr. Tucker was excellent. He was very professional and caring and nice. He answered all my questions and was very patient with me I felt very comfortable and important.I would recommend him to everybody. This is a great place. Everybody does a great job here. I decided to go here based on the already good reviews. I will tell you I was not disappointed. Every person I dealt with was super helpful, patient, and polite. As I waited for my glasses to be repaired, I watched the staff help each and every customer with the same professionalism as I was given. You will not find better service anywhere else... period! I am very impressed with the quality of care we received at Alameda Vision Center. We noticed that our 6 year old was having problems seeing and we weren’t sure how she would react to seeing an optometrist for the first time. The entire staff was very kind and patient with her, and Dr. Thomas made sure to explain everything very thoroughly so that we knew what to expect! We will definitely make Alameda Vision our only eye care provider from now on!

Im approaching 40, being as this was my first real eye exam I wasnt sure what to expect. The technology, the staff, and the doctors were amazing. The technology was fast and painless, and the staff running it answered every question I threw their way. Im glad I chose to go here, and would gladly recommend anyone and everyone to go here.

Dr. Anderson is hands down the best optometrist I’ve been to! The way he completed the exam for my kids and worked with my special needs son, was beyond impressive! His passion for his work very apparent. My husband has always been a challenge for optometrist. Dr. Anderson gave him such a clear understanding on his eye issues and provided with options no other doctor has offered before. We will never go elsewhere! I’ve been going to Alameda Vision for years. From the minute I walk in the door I’m greeted by kind office staff and I don’t ever wait long for my appointment. They use modern technology and do thorough exams. Dr. Jamie Thompson is literally my favorite person to visit with, he’s warm and friendly and always makes me laugh. They have a great inventory of frames and I always appreciate the great service!

My entire family has been coming to Alameda Vision Center for about 9 years. Our original eye doctor retired and we now see Dr. Tucker. He is amazing with our kids ages 13 through 7 and remembers all our names. We have loved the selection of glasses including price range. At times we have to wait a little bit to get into our appointment but the waiting room is quiet and the staff are friendly so I dont see it as too much of an inconvenience. Highly recommend them.

Before I say anything, I want you to know that I am a friendly person- I try not to be rude or demanding. It has been 5 years since I have had an opportunity to get new glasses, so having the opportunity now was a big deal to me.My whole experience here has been a train wreck.1. I have definitely met friendlier receptionists in my lifetime.2. Though the doctor was friendly, he rushed through the whole exam and kinda left me feeling like I was an inconvenience.3. I paid $200 for my glasses. They called me a week later to come get them...she took them out of the bag and they were broken. The woman I was working with was going to let me leave with a broken pair of glasses so when I told her that wasnt going to happen she said they would order a new pair.4. A week later they called to tell me they came in...and then called back because they read the chart wrong- they werent in, they were on backorder. So she said that she would order a different color in the meantime...ok great.5. 3 WEEKS LATER I havent heard from them, so I called back and asked for a status and she tells me that instead of ordering the temporary pair they had made 2 orders for the backordered pair. Luckily, this lady was nice and told me she had them over nighted.6. They did come in next day, so I went in today to pick them up. Waited for a minute for someone to come back to the desk, which was totally fine...until a woman made eye contact with me TWICE and then proceeded to help others in line behind me without saying one word to me. Finally I interjected and told her I was there to pick up some replacements and at that point she was very friendly.7. A few minutes later the woman helping me and another woman come out and let me know that my lenses are wobbley in the new frames but I could take them like that and Id probably be fine- to which I responded I did not pay $200 for a pair of glasses that would probably be fine. The second woman started talking down to me- so I cut her off and told her to put them in the original, broken pair, and I would be on my way. The other woman took the glasses from the first and told me she would try really hard to make them tighter. The second woman just walked off.8. She did make the frames fit better but I asked that she cancel the back order so that I didnt have to come back in again and deal with them.9. The glasses that they gave me today might not be broken but they are crooked...Unfortunately I will deal with it over having to do business here again.Moral of the story- if you want quality for the amount of money you might be paying- you perhaps dont want to visit this place. I can tell you he gave me two prescriptions but after what I experienced here I will take my chances buying the others online rather than going back to this place.

Not going to lie, my appt was AWESOME and the dr was awesome... BUT I gave 3 stars because I trust the dr with my eyes but I DO NOT TRUST THE FRONT WITH MY MONEY! They charged me almost $900 for a service that I didn’t even get and continued to try and convince me that it was a legitimate charge that I owed after I questioned it and had my insurance contact them. I had to go in person and demand they speak to the dr for them to finally realize that I in fact did not get that service and did not owe $900 for a REGULAR EYE EXAM.

They took care of me very well in Pocatello branch. When I explain my issue with my glasses, they did not give me excuses, they suggested right away what I have to do and took care of me until the end. They also went out of their way to provide answer that is not available to them right away. They have been welcoming and very pleasant to talk to. I love doing business with them.

I am a first time patient here. The whole staff was really friendly and helpful except the eye doctor, dr. Thomas, himself. I asked about contact options and since he was behind a little he refused to talk contact options with me today and said I could schedule another appointment if I wanted to discuss options. The reason for my appointment in the first place was to talk about the contact options and can’t afford to pay for nor do I have the time for another visit to talk about contact options when that should have been done today. Besides that the whole staff was nice and helpful.

This was my first visit with the center. They were all very professional and yet friendly. I have a rare eye condition and Michael Tucker was amazing at working around the usual eye tests. I would highly recommend them and will certainly go back.

It had been at least 10 years sence my last eye exam. So to say the least I was very nervous. I walked in and was greeted by the receptionist. Asked for my insurance and medical information. That went very fast and only waited five minutes before being called back to be seen. Was seen by a very nice lady that did some tests before I saw the doctor. And just after maybe 10 minutes was seen by the doctor. Very nice and seemed to do just about every test he could. And when done took a great deal of time to explain all of my options. So that I felt comfortable in making a decision about my glasses. Then went out and looked at loads of frames and choose some beautiful ones. And sat down with another very nice lady and went over all the insurance and cost options. Mabye spent 1 hour there. And my glasses will be ready in a few weeks. I wish I was better with names. I tend to be pretty squeamish when it comes to eye stuff but my wife finally pushed me to make an appointment at Alameda Vision Center. The front desk staff was friendly, the check-in process was smooth, and the wait time was just right. My preschooler enjoyed playing in the kids area and it took several minutes to pull him away from the large salt water fish tank when it was time to leave. Dr. Tucker was very friendly, personable, and professional. He was very clear in explaining the procedures and my options to correct my vision; easily one of the most enjoyable interactions Ive had with a doctor (of any specialty). Brent in the optical department was helpful in finding a set of frames that I liked and which complimented my head shape.Overall it was a great experience. I went into it dreading the visit (again, I dont even like water in my eyes in the shower...), but I left very pleased with my appointment. Ill definitely be back, and I can understand why many of my family members continue to visit Alameda.

I’ve gotten several pairs of glasses and sunglasses through Alameda Vision Center and each time has been a quick, easy, friendly and amazing experience! Brent helped explain and show the different lens options that no other optician has taken the time to, aside from saying prices. I highly recommend their office to all!

I hope you enjoy court and attorney fees bigger than their outrageous service charges that they will not work with you on.UPDATE: I called the office today and explained that I had been making payments for my outstanding bill prior to them sending my account to collections; without even contacting me about the account or to inform me that it was going to be sent to collections, regardless of receiving monthly payments. After confirming that they had received payments prior to sending the account to collections, I was told there was nothing they could do.I understand that when a patient wont pay their bill the company needs a way to receive the money owed. If Alameda had simply contacted me prior to sending my account to collections and informed me that I needed to either make larger monthly payment or pay the remaining balance to avoid collections Id have made it happen. Unfortunately I was not given any such courtesy.

Fantastic! My previous eye doctor was good. I thought ‘as good as it gets’. I’m so happy I took advice from friends and switched to Alameda Vision. I’ve never had vision this perfect. I can read small print from so far away it’s astonishing. And with the progressive magnifying I don’t have to put on reading glasses or put up with ‘the line’. The main thing though is the prescription is perfect! And they work with my insurance no problem.

I had such a wonderful experience here with Dr. Anderson. He was so helpful and knowledgeable- I usually have to wait for contacts to be ordered, but he gave me a pair to try that work beautifully, and I was so surprised to leave the office wearing contacts I could actually see with! Delightful staff, all around great place for eye care.

Been coming here for 4 years. Never have been over impressed with this place but it worked well for me and seemed fair until my most recent visit that irritated me more than any eye exam ever should. I went in for an exam and to get an updated prescription on Feb. 28th. In my visit I ordered what they called a 6 month supply of contacts. An added fee was also added on my last visit for what they called 2 separate exams and my insurance only partially paid for one exam. Every employee I interacted with on the appointment date was rude and gave me short answers with no explication. Today I went in again to pick up my order of contacts and hope to have the first visit explained to me. The two employees at the desk today were very nice and professional but they were the ones that gave me the information on what I was charged for on the two exams. When they gave me my ordered contacts, I was shocked to find the 6 month order was half of my last order. Even with the contacts type, prescription and all being the exact same amount. I was very upset to be told that I paid for 6 months of 2 week contacts and received only 6 pairs in total. It is what it is I paid my outrageous price at least in my mind and I am moving on and will not return to this company again, I just want to warn any newcomers you will pay out of pocket on extra exam charges(I am not the only one that dealt with this, read some other reviews)

Alameda Vision Center is not only a premium location for eye-care, but also a place where you will find friendly and professional service in every visit. Each time I went there I was helped by Dr. Tucker, who was great to work with, and was very patient answering all my questions. The office staff was also very helpful and willing to go the extra mile in order to provide great customer service. Last but not least, I never felt like I was paying too much. I highly recommend this place.

Do not go here for vision needs, they are deceptive about charges and suggest additional services they claim will be covered by insurance. I was assured by both the doctor and tech that a photo they claimed was medically necessary would be covered by my insurance. I have good health insurance that covers medically necessary procedures, etc, but did not cover one penny of this service they claimed I needed.

This office is great! Ive never had a problem with them. Theyre punctual on appointments. When Ive picked up new lenses or frames, its always been ready when they said it would be. The staff and doctors are so nice and polite. 5 stars!

Dr. Anderson was very helpful, friendly and willing to find the best option for us. He was willing to take the time to explain everything to us to make sure all of our questions were answered.We got in quickly and were very satisfied with the quality of service we received.

After a year and a half of using them, they overcharged me for two extra boxes of contacts which I had not received. Not only did they send me invoices which proved they were charging for six boxes instead of the four I received, but I brought the error to light and the receptionist told me over the phone to bring two boxes back and I would get a refund for those two boxes - WHAT?!?!?!? I have gone back over the contacts we have purchased from them for the last six months to confirm the error, and we had paid for every box plus two. If you are going to charge for devices not received, you definitely cannot be my doctor!Follow-up on this from over two months later: Neither my husband or myself have received any refund to our home address for this extra charge. This remains unresolved and I frankly dont understand what additional information would be needed if they truly wanted to address this issue.

This is an excellent eye doctor place!

Doctor was very pushy about selling me daily contacts. Insisted on making me try them for two weeks before they finally let me order my monthlies. They actually withheld my prescription so I couldn’t just buy them somewhere else, made me come back and endure another sales pitch on the dailies two weeks later before they let me take the prescription. I think he might have even avoided putting my astigmatism on the prescription so that he COULD sell me the dailies. Honestly, unless you have actual eye problems you need treated just save yourself the time and hassle and go to Costco. Giving two stars instead of one because the assistant who helped me during my fitting was very kind and patient.

I was very pleased with my experience at this eye center. The doctor was appreciated for listening to me. My eyes were borderline about the prescription, and he was open to allowing me to finish up my old contacts before switching to the new contacts.The office staff was polite and efficient as far as scheduling and ordering my contacts. I did not purchase glasses at this office, so have no comments there.

I have been a patient for a few years, for regular eye care, but a couple days ago I had injured my eye and when I called they got me in immediately! Dr. Anderson is AWESOME! When I walked in, I couldnt see our of my eye it was watering and hurting so bad. When I left the pain was almost gone, the watering stopped and he put me on antibiotic drops. They told me if it got worse, they would being me back in, otherwise, follow up tomorrow. I love the staff here, so friendly and caring. Dr Anderson always does such an in depth examination, he is very thorough and truly cares about his patients! Highly recommend them for any eye care needs!

But beyond that, he listens carefully to my concerns, he is respectful and patient, and he is innovative – he’s willing to try new things to see if they will improve my situation.The optical shop has a good selection of frames, and the staff is professional, pleasant, and skilled at fitting eyewear.I highly recommend Alameda Vision Center.

The staff was friendly, and my new glasses arrived today (a little over two weeks after my eye exam). The fact that it took so long was a point of frustration for me. The staff needs to be more proactive in communicating delays to the customer instead of waiting for the customer to call asking the status of his/her order. But that wasnt the only issue I had. They also initially billed me for the eye exam rather than the insurance (which I later brought to their attention, and they supposedly fixed it). They blamed it on new software installed which handles insurance.TL;DR: Product delivered, friendly staff, but staff needs to be more proactive in communicating to customers, and better trained on insurance procedures.

Got a baby sitter, dropped her off out of town then come to find out when im checking in for my app that i scheduled LATER THAT day that they have not taken my insurance for 3 months and that i would need to pay out of pocket. Thats the start. The staff is very rude. They sit back and chat all while customers are waiting. When u finally do get their attention they seem very un knowledgeable and snotty. As far as the ship is concerned they wont help you, dont have the slightest clue on what they have and when u ask them a question they stare at you, then stare at eachother as a war as to which gonna have to be the one to get up to help the customer. Then they again have an attitude, and their answer is well whatever we would have will be out there. The eye doctor himself? Wonderful. Absolutely wonderful, smart, and friendly. The rest if the staff is horrible to say the least.

My eyes are perfect but he has helped my husband tons and did this cool new treatment to help him go without glasses or contacts during the day. My husband speaks highly of him too.
