Love this BAM, but an employee I think was named Norm checked me out and he was SO rude and unprofessional and really gross to the other employees. Never gonna come here and give this guy money again. Very Abnorm :(

Books-A-Million isnt the same anymore it used to be a great place to go to with the family until they moved all the comfortable lounge chairs out of the store due to a homless problem in Port Charlotte they basically discriminate anyone that goes into the store that used the lounge chairs. This is by far the worst Books-A-Million store I have ever been into!!

If you like to read or even love to read and enjoy books or magazines with countless topics, then this is a great place to find some reading material and unwind. I brought my four year old daughter with me to enjoy the large childrens area with toys and books so she could have a good time while I got to browse a little. Yogurt Mountain is a big plus too. All in all, its an enjoyable place.

We went in for the Fallout Unofficial Cookbook. We couldn’t find it but we had the best help with the associate, Hayley. She greeted us and asked if we needed any assistance. At the time we didn’t but when we did, she kindly explained where to find the product we were looking for, and for what we couldn’t find, she gave us information on how to obtain the unavailable product. She was kind, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. Made us want to come back 1000 times over.

Awesome hidden gem. Books for the whole family, and sales tables in the back. Dont eat the over priced ice cream with stale toppings though. :)

Came in here to pick up 4 books that I ordered and the email told me to ask if I have any questions on how to get the other two or get it delivered home. The guy told me “go in the back and check for yourself” very rude individual. On top of that I would ask a question after and he wouldn’t speak up with me like if he zoned me out. Would recommend the FM one or Barnes and noble . Customer service that I experienced was poor and just rude.

I have been a very regular customer at this store, this location, since the day they opened. I absolutely love a good book store, browsing the stacks. The staff actually know me by name, or can identify me by sight. You feel very good, and important, when a group of people greet you by name. I think of this as one of my favorite places to be.

Always a good selection of everything! Discount vinyl is a must browse. And the prices on used CDs are awesome. Never a bad place to shop for all media and the always offer coupons.

OMG This store called me, I called them back and Norm. and i had like a 5min conversation just explaining that it was the wrong number. but i live in Charlotte NC and his conversation and his friendliness makes me want to come shop at this store....so people in this area go and ask for NORM

I really love coming here!! The atmosphere is great and its not awkward at all to shop alone. They have a wide selection of books and a bunch of stuff to help you read along the way. The staff are always so nice and helpful! Its a nice place to visit whenever you need some books. And its clean!

Gotta give it that 5 star review for those $3 calendars and planners.Also gave me a good laugh on how much political stuff is sold here. Saw more Michelle Obama, Biden, and Hilary Clinton books than Ive ever seen in one place, and it was all scattered throughout.There was even a Ginsberg calendar.They also only sell American flag and donkey pins. Tried to find an Elephant and it didnt exist in the pin pile lolThank you again

The new layout is very cluttered, with equal amounts books and toys/gifts. The discount books are stacked extremely close in the back 3rd of the store, eliminating/condensing the genres previously there to other shelves. The gift racks near the register are lined up with barely room to get by. I miss the previous, comfortably open set-up of sitting & play areas, where experiencing literacy meant more than selling toys.

Consistent disappointment from clearance prices not being honored to a disheveled store. All of that I have overlooked but today took the cake.If you are going to schedule a childrens event and make flyers and talk about it in store you need to damn well deliver. Not only did you only set up a few books but you only had 1 person working? Who is supposed to read to the children as advertised?No party decorations, no fun activities just the sound of disappointment and failed management.You have disappointed me many times...whatever but you only get 1 chance to disappoint my kid.Barnes and Noble please come save us from the wal mart of book stores.

Love this Books A Million. Always have a bunch of cool stuff in stock and anytime Ive shopped there the staff is wonderful as well. Mu boyfriend and I frequent here a couple times a month.

Stayed two nights, $450/night. Mold around windows, rusty air vents, cracked floor tiles, creaky bed every time we rolled over, put towel under it bed to stop creaking. Door didnt close properly. Tiny pool.

Looking for books, comics, how-to guides, magazines... even yogurt? This is one of the best bookshops in town! I love visiting with my book-loving friends who often receive excellent advice on something that they enjoy. Staff is friendly, highly educated, and if they cant help you find something, stuff is pretty clearly labeled. I often get lost in the fun of searching for Pokemon Merchandise and Electronic equipment as well as comics, Graphic novels, and Source material and ideas for a book I am writing myself. BaM never disappoints for knowledge, and I wouldnt go anywhere else to read some good books like I do here.

I love visiting this location. The Books-a-Million is HUGE! Variety of books and pretty easy to locate things. I would love to see more stuffed animals connected to book series in the childrens section. Great, friendly staff.

Not just a bookstore, but so much more. There is that coffee bar / Smoothie Bar inside. However, it is the other stuff that they sell that is what makes this place great. All kinds of toys and games that children love. While you certainly dont think of Books-A-Million as a childrens store, there are so many great things that I buy my 2 year old son every time we go in here.

We had a good shopping experience at BAM, I have to say the Frozen Yogurt shop is a bit overpriced but delicious. Bought so many books, could barely carry them all, i highly recommend BAM for great prices on books you want to read.

Never have a bad experience when we go here. The kids always find what they are looking for, and if they cant, the staff help them out.Great environment.

If you love to read, they have everything. Every genre. Kids books, and games also. Gift cards that you can use in the store or online. They had a section of 33 lp. records. There is a restroom, and a yogurt shop in the store. Seating to browse books, and a clearance section of books from cooking, animals, fiction, etc. Lots of parking.

I did not get to truly explore it all since I was looking for a restroom, hence the 3 stars.However, I liked the way the books were organized and that there is a wide variety of books and other products(backpacks, gifts,etc). I also like the clearance rack in the back.

This is a fun place to shop. Great selection of books and magazines. An interesting range of gift items too. Lately theyve added a used books and media section that is gaining a wide selection of titles. I would go 5 stars if they had a coffee shop along with/instead of the frozen yogurt concession in the store

Are there bookstores left? Borders is gone. B and n is struggling... Its nice to still see an option. Plus they have a lot of random pop culture items, comic books, and a used movie section.

Great staff at the BAM. Always helpful. When you need to find something they will come help you (unless they are the only one running the till)Good place to get out of the house and go read and look for new material. They dont always have the lowest prices, but usually have good deals going on for used and bargain books.

Multiple times Ive seen the manager here disgracing and belittling its employees. I cant believe he treats them that way. I cant rightfully shop here knowing thats going on in the backroom.

The music is too loud. Background music that is lower in volume and of a soothing nature should be considered.Books regarding weather, storm, storm chasing, etc would be a welcome sight for enthusiasts such as myself.Employees are knowledgable and helpful. Store hours are very accommodating to busy life schedules.

My boss, who has a very similar email to mine, just reviewed this place. He asked me if I could come in and see what I thought of it. And he was right, horrible customer experience! I too have a disability and some medical conditions, and all the employees looked at me like I was a freak! So rude! Never come here! The staff is extremely unwelcoming and rude, and the stores selection is only a 2 at Best. Definitely not worth coming here! Actually, as my boss said, avoid coming here at all costs! Horrible people, extremely rudely prejudiced people, and horrible business!

Always like going here for the frozen yogurt. The yogurt and the service is really good. Selection is always nice.The book selection is also very good. A lot to choose from!! I love browsing and buying. Did try the Cash back for books. The guy warned me it was garage sale prices and he was not kidding. So if you are looking to just get rid of books then I recommend the buy back.Staff is friendly. There was one time I went with my fiance and the manager was very rude to/kind of yelling at his employee in front of customers. I was not a fan of that.
