Excellent store owner and staff great group of people I wont shop anywhere else

Ooh wow! This place was wonderful! I had never been to any kind of gun range before, and I didn’t know what to expect. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about any question I had, such as gun laws. They were very kind and patient. The range was extremely loud, and I jumped several times before I got used to it. Ladies get free range time on Wednesday, which is a bonus. I will definitely be back, and I’d highly recommend this range to anyone!

The staff was rude and lazy. I was standing at the counter looking at the monitor that looks over the gun range. I asked them if that wall was ballistic because there was a guy pointing a gun straight at wall behind the counter. They told me they didnt know if it was ballistic.WOW! I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THAT PLACE AGAIN..

Very nice range! Go early, as it gets busy quickly. When we got there it was empty & when we left it was packed. Staff very friendly as well.

Great place to go shooting. The staff is super friendly and they’ll work with you on pricing. A lot of gun stores have the typical know it all gun guys behind the counter but not here. They treat their customers with respect. The range is well ventilated. Their transfer fees aren’t too expensive. I took my CCW class there and despite already being an advanced shooter I still felt like I learned quite a bit.

Nice local gun shop. Then realize they’re price gauging customers on ammo. Don’t be like the rest, same old excuse why they do it. But it’s just taking advantage. Bad business.

Thanks to Gunny for holding a Glock 21 for a day just by speaking to him on the phone.Today I went and purchased and took home this Glock 21.Gunny and the other sales rep I worked with (I did not get his name, I wished I did. He had long dark hair and a thick dark beard) were very nice, professional, and patient. Both had good business acumen.Frank Wolf the gunsmith was very nice and accommodating as usual. He took the time and stopped what he was doing to install night sights on my new Glock 21 while me and Wyatt Earp my register German Shepherd Service K9 waited for the background check to complete.It was surprising to see the store so well stocked with firearms, accessories, even ammo. The ammo was not as plentiful for obvious reasons but there was still a good selection given the point in time we are all now living in.All in all it was good experience.Ricky from IBM, Ret

Super friendly staff and very helpful, I now target practice there once a week.

I’ll drive 45 minutes to Shark Coast Tactical in Sarasota before I go back. Explained that I’m not 100% knowledgeable expert on AR builds and wasn’t offered any info. I Asked for a price on an AR upper receiver they had in the display case across the room and the guy just replied with “I don’t know, it’s expensive high class”. Could have at least referred me to another employee that did know or cared to help.

Nice price compaired to other shops around. Bought a p365 here for $ 525 and my brother got one from high noon in Venice for $650. Ive used the indoor range twice at 16$ a lane and there is no annual membership fee. Nice selection of holsters and accessories here too like wingman holsters that are made right here locally. Just ignore the gunsmith in the back and youll be fine with these guys.

All but one member of the staff at this gun range was rude. this was the first time I was here but had heard from a friend that he would never go back there again because of the staff. I understand that the staff is there to keep people safe and I appreciate that but they can do a better job at the way they approach their customers. My friends and I, three of us, were literally harassed from the time we walked in the door to the time we left. It wasnt that we dont want to follow their rules, we do but there are no rules published publicly about any of the things we literally got yelled at over. Ill never go back.

The best gun shop Ive ever stepped into (and Ive stepped into many)! The staff was super knowledgeable and friendly with super competitive pricing. My wife and I had such a great experience purchasing a gun that we were back the next day to purchase another, then a few days later for a third gun! Never pushy, no pressure sales. Well be back! Went to their range and gun shop for the first time immediately treated like a regular customer everyone was very informative and. personable also needed a clip for an. Obsolete gun and with a short amount of research and their knowledge of that model they found one that would fit it from a different manufacturer I had previously gone to three other gun shops to get that particular clip and not only did they not know what the gun was they did not know how to find that part. Or want to try for that matter J&J is top-notch and will be my go-to gun shop from now on

Sold me a gun missing parts, that was listed as new, told me to get it from manufacturer after I paid for it and found out it was missing stuff.

Stopped here never having visited this shop before. I was greeted pleasantly by a helpful, but not overbearing, staff. After browsing for a bit, I spied a handgun that interested me. They made me a very fair deal on it. The transaction was handled efficiently and cheerfully. Very nice place to do business with.

The owner required my husband to purchase the gun before he would run a background check. Its been 3 weeks and No approval still so my husband wants his money backThey will NOT refund the money and he doesnt have the item purchased!!NOW I know why he wants the money first! So you can keep his money! Bad business practice! I but guns too! Ill be sure and tell EVERYONE how you do business

Best selection of firearms around! The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful without being pushy. They always have the right ammo in stock at competitive pricing. The range is very comfortable, its clear that safety is a priority and thats very important to me. I spoke to the owner (I forget his name) but he was super nice and went out of his way to find a very specific special order firearm for me. No need to shop around anymore, I just head straight to J&J!

Decided to try this range after seeing good reviews and that they were open on Sundays. Shop was nice, staff was great, and the range was very nice. It looked busy when we walked in but I went right to a range lane and shot for 1 1/2 hours with no interruptions. Price is reasonable as well. I would definitely recommend this range.

Ive been to ranges and shops from Cali to Connecticut. This is far and away the best, cleanest, range Ive ever shot at. And paramount to that, the people that work here are GREAT. Everyone is super friendly, and helpful. None of that typical para-military, chip on my shoulder, lack of customer service commonly found at most gun shops. I wish this place was in my home town. Ill be back for sure whenever Im visiting family in FL.

Every time I go in I have a great time shooting. Staff is both helpful and friendly every time. They also helped me in purchasing a new pistol. We had issues getting it through the distributer. Staff went above and beyond to make it right. They also gave me a web site that was giving away free items for my gun. I recommend them to anyone who wants to shoot or buy a gun.

I visited for the 1 year anniversary. The shop had several vendors including H&k and Century Arms for customers to talk with and take to the range for a quick test drive. Staff was very helpful despite the unusually high amount of people coming in to talk with the vendors and the go to the range. The range allows for long rifles up to. 308 which is unheard of in my experience with indoor ranges. It was awesome feeling the concussion from the high power rifles. I will definitely be going back soon.

Went in yesterday and was warmly greeted at the door by Doug and Lexi. Todd the mgr was cleaning the stalls just finished a tournament. My buddy and I were showed to a nice clean range with a/c. Bought a couple targets and the prices were inexpensive.Highly recommend this to other shooters in the Port Charlotte area. Great place 5 stars+.

This place is great. I now shoot here a couple times a month and got a good price on a pistol. Everyone who works here is knowledgeable and friendly. Non intimidating for a newer shooter like me.

Went in to purchase a gun for my husband..having no knowledge of guns..I was for some reason denied ..but had paid for the gun in full..I waited for a week and started calling and they kept telling me it wasnt in yet that they would. all me...well finally after 2 weeks I called just for them to tell me I was denied..so I went in to get my credit card reimbursed...and the very rude man said he was not going to give my money back and I needed to appeal..well..I said no I just wanted a refund..he said no and that they would alone charging me a restock fee of 20%...I left feeling very disrespectedso I ended up telling my husband about this and he had to go down there and get my refund...I have never been treated so poorly just for no reason...I wouldnever recommend this place sgain...guy had white hair beard..didnot get his name but I have one for him..

The range is good, but in my opinion the man running the place is a crazy. I understand correction, but this man made me very nervous. He came in with his temper flaring and he went on and on. We will NEVER go back.One day when looking at guns another employee treated me with no respect.WOMEN BE AWARE!!!!!!!!!

I needed blanketed hollow points. My 357 likes the very special secret black edition ammunition they carry behind the largest selection of used guns I have ever seen!!! Will visit again soon. NOTE: the nachos on the counter are not for patrons... And they are VERY spicy.

Very good establishment joel and the crew are a asset to the community. They love teaching gun safety the all ages i bring my 7 yr old son there for there gun safety class the first Tuesday every month. And there gun range is very clean and i enjoy the friendship i have gained with the crew.

Great indoor range, A/C and air ventelation system is the best Ive seen, clean, breathable air, no matter how much you shoot!!Knowledgeable staff. One of my guns jammed and staff member helped me to clear it. Range price is $15, you can buy targets, rent guns and ammo too.

Joel and his staff at J & J are AWESOME. Todd spent more than 3 hours with my wife explaining different handguns and helped her pick the perfect one for her (I was going to purchase her one that was a few hundred bucks more but he made sure she got what was most comfortable for her). Joel was very helpful in helping me pick out my every day carry pistol. He even told me to hold off a few weeks because Glock was coming to the shop for Glock days and I would be able to save $140 on my gun. They are more concerned about making the customer happy than they are about selling the most expensive gun to you. Best gun shop Ive been to by far

Awsome experience and very professional. Everyone goes out of their way there. Ive been in there multiple times and have always left satisfied. The other gun shops in the area are cocky, and very short with that (you buy or you go attitude.)

Weve been in there twice. The first time we were looking for a handgun. It took about 20 minutes of waiting and finally stopping an employee, to get someone to even acknowledge us. They werent busy. Finally he said they didnt have the gun in stock and they were going to get them in on the 20th of this month. He took down my name and number, telling me he would call when they came in. We ended up buying the same gun in fort Myers for the same price. Today we went in again looking for a shot gun and stood around, looking at different guns and trying to look at the rifles and shot guns behind the counter. We waited 30 minutes and no one even spoke, told us they would be with us shortly, not one word. It was very rude. We wont be back.

Place is a joke..will sell you any gun just to make a buck.I went in there for guildance on buying a gun since they are supposed to be the experts.I am new to the process and they sold me a gun that was totally inappropriate for me.Do yourself a favor and stay away..there other shops in town that ere awesome..wish I found them first.

Im a fairly new shooter and have been a fan of J&Js for the past few years. My very first experience with them was at a gun show a few years ago. In an environment full of gun enthusiasts, they took the time to speak to a complete beginner who hadnt shot anything since childhood. Fast forward to about a year ago.......I walked into their retail location where Jenny took the time to discuss with me the differences between a few guns.Which leads me to today........Today I dealt with multiple staff members......Joel via Facebook, Todd over the phone and Doug, Jenny and Lexus at the retail store. I walked into the store after having contact with Joel and Todd earlier in the day. When I walked in I made a comment about talking to Todd, I hear You must be Chris?Doug and Jenny took me to the gun display area where both spoke to me about what I was planning on using the gun for and showed me some basic features of the gun. During the entire interaction I truly felt as if I was dealing with friends and that they wanted to ensure the gun would meet my expectations, and was suitable for what my intended use was.During the paperwork process I dealt with Lexus who was also great.....joking around and again.....making me feel as if I was just hanging with friends.Im not one to post reviews online and especially when its due to a GREAT experience but I felt compelled to post about this experience.In a field where there are so many newcomers, its great to feel comfortable asking questions and getting advice all while not feeling like the newbie. When you speak to ANY member of the staff, regardless of your skill level, theyre polite, courteous, and genuinely seem like they WANT to help.......which, being in retail.....seems like a rarity these days.I cant say enough great things about my experience and will be a lifelong customer of this establishment. I have used the shop, the range, and the gunsmith a number of times. In fact Im there three or four times a month. Great people, great facility. The best in the area.

Ive been to many indoor ranges. This is by far the best yet. The air purification system is wonderful. You dont come home smelling like gunpowder. The acoustics deadens the sound and vibrations quite abit. The pulley system always works. The staff are knowledgeable, professional, helpful and friendly. For example, I was having a problem with my semiauto pistol and a staff member took the time to fix it and test it on the range at no charge. Then he advised me on how to keep the gun reliable. All in all I will be back and will recommend this range to my friends.

I have went out of my way to help the owner of J&J. I had some nice long guns including ARs and let him sell them for me and make a good profit for himself. I also put several hundred dollars worth of new pocket knives on consignment I moved from Port Charlotte 2-3 years ago. I cannot get him to talk to me as he has never paid me for the knives. What we have here is a crook, and will beat you out of as much money as he can. I just wonder if the people that has the mortgage on the bld. and guns realize what kind of person he really is. I was fool enough to think that we were friends. He needs to be run out of town or else locked up!!!
