...yet another reason I have been a GameStop customer as far back as 2005...this location (S. Westnedge in Portage) is the second one I have dropped into for a quick, very specific purchase in the space of exactly seven days. Alexander, the sales associate who helped me grab a basic wired gaming headseat for my sons PS4 was informative, knowledgeable and sold me exactly what I needed within my budget limit...huge win. I was sorted and out to swim upstream back home in the crush of rush-hour traffic in less than ten minutes flat, back home before the crush of cars became oppressive. GameStop, you never let me down.

We sold movies to them and the young man helping us looked very much spent. He was the only one working and had customers behind us that was complaint loudly. He was very professional. I was very impressed to say the least. I would like to check out what all they have in there but we were pressed for time.

Skyrim for the switch is 55 used, 60 new at GameStop.49.99 brand new at Walmart. Makes sense.This happened to me a while back with a ps4 controller I had bought. It was more used at GameStop than a brand new one at walmart. I should’ve taken it back but I didn’t. Not sure what GameStop’s angle is here. Seems fraudulent.

We had to wait awhile, no one spoke to us until we finally just stood there and then the had what we wanted it an empty box but not in the store

Horrible experience. They had a sale buy 3 get 1 free pop figures. Tried to charge me for all of them then said others didnt qualify. I realized one if the shirts on the clearance rack rang up full price. When I came back in to let them know I got mansplained over what I was saying. I will not be going back to this location.

Didnt have anything I needed, bought one thing thats wired but works wonderfully, thank you. Their keep your own bag with their logo on it was 1 dollar yeah. Stop at Walmart and they had everything I needed.

They have items up that are empty boxes with items no longer in stock, and when employees are asked questions about store, they are unknowledgable. They are good with mask wearing and staying at a safe capacity for unit.

Went to see if the Latest and Greatest game was in stock...the assistant manager went above and beyond to find a copy; none in their store so she checked other stores in a 50 mile radius. No luck, so she explained other options that are available. Didnt have what I wanted, but their service level has earned my loyalty.

Selection of used games is good, but not spectacular. Good social distancing policies.

Normally has what you are looking for and if not ask and they can order it most of the time. I feel like this location has a lot more novelty items then games and systems, that’s okay though because the staff makes up for that with friendly ness and the willingness to help.

Went there today for some games and a controller for my sons wii. Got the stuff home and happened to open the battery area of the controller. It was FULL of battery acid from a exploding battery. I was seriously disgusted they would put something like that on the shelf for 30.00 none the less. Will be returning and making sure the replacement isnt the same way. Will NEVER buy from them again!

Best GameStop around! Yes, the trade in values are low on some titles, but its for a game that is used and you arent bound to accept it. But, the friendly and fun atmosphere more than make up for something the employees cant control.

Do NOT go to this gamestop. Do not go to any gamestop’s, but in particular this one. the lady cashier is extremely rude and very lazy. I don’t know her name, but i will for sure be talking to the manager the next time i see her. everyone there is incredibly lazy and acts like they hate being there. A very unprofessional environment.

Ive been going to gamestops all over michigan for years, since I was young. Ive always enjoyed them and felt welcomed. This one in particular has been a second home for me. I know most workers by name and always get the most honest reviews on games and systems, have never had a bad system from them or any troubles. Always very friendly and welcoming.

Clean store, knowledgeable employees. Just a fun store to be in if you love gaming. Lots of pre owned games for decent prices. They have a decent selection of funk pops and other merchandise. I love that we have the option of buying new or pre owned on most things. It helps to save a few dollars sometimes.

They have went down hill the post 8 months. They no longer pick up the phones and are not now Knowledgeable about their products in store products. They only have one person working now and shortened hours.GameStop overall use quality has went downhill horribly! One of the best gaming stores ever, they have such a wide array gaming of items too! More then other game stops the staff very friendly and helpful.

They didnt have what I was looking for but they looked up to other stores in the area and called around for me. I had to go all the way to Illinois for the chess set! Thwy were so nice though and did all the leg work while I walked around.

When the store isn’t filled with stinky gamers, the staff is very nice and eager to help.

This franchise has shifted focus to not just games, bit random game merch and Funko Pop toys, and related items. They typically will have what you are looking for, or the other store in town will. As always, its commonly known that they will low-ball you for your used games, and they pay less if taking a cash offer instead of in store credit. The employees arent too pushy and leave you alone if you want them to, and the clerks at the counter are younger and definitely know their games( as they should).There usually isnt much room to walk around because of all the stuff, and it has a cluttered feel to the store.

Really nice employees work at this store.They helped me secure my brand new arcade 1 up machine! I drove 1 hour in a storm to get it and they even helped me take it to my car to keep it from getting wet.

Went in to browse, came out with a collector shirt for $4, it was originally $20. Overall quick checkout even with the place being full of customers.

GameStop is usually not the best first place to go for a lot of gaming merchandise. While the scope of their selection is usually better than most competitors, the prices are also usually significantly higher as well. I would suggest selling your games to either second chance or chronocade if youre in the area, for a better deal. GameStop also usually carries only somewhat new products, making it good for finding play station 4 or Nintendo switch games. On the flip side of that coin though you will rarely find any sort of retro games or collectables. If you are looking for a GameCube controller your best bet is probably not here.

Employees are really helpful but I recently went there the building was dirty and they didnt have a single game I wanted and they would say sold out. Employees are really helpful though.

The isles are tight and cramped. Its difficult to look at games while someone else is doing so. The prices are way too high. Several games I was looking to buy were more for the used copy than it was to buy it new on amazon.

So brought these clowns a bunch games and then bought a couple other ones and then ordered 1 and took em 10 days to get it to me we finally received it we were exited to play it then open the package and it was literally broken in half. So I come down there a second time give the broken in half one back then order another 1 sent to my house. They over nighted it YEA! Then i opened it up and it was obviously picked from the garbage, very scratched up and had food stuck all over it. So i call em up first thing manager says it not our fault and blames some body at headquarters. So i asked if he could make it right maybe give us deal on another came or 2 and he said a big NOPE. He said sorry about my luck he give me refund. Then he hung up on me. Ill never spend another penny with these crooks...

Ok lets get started. this is the worst gamestop ive ever been to. i went to ask for a shoe with about the size of an eagles wingspan but they didnt have any??!!!??!?!! i also asked one of the cashiers his smash main and they didnt say dk. disgusting. on top of all of that they have fake Kirbys. i am a kirby expert and i can identify every pop tart by taste which makes me qualified to leave this review. sic semper tyrannis.

Brought in under the false pretense of getting an actual deal at gamestop... Laughable on its own but I digress; I had a 20% off coupon for any used game. I bought 2 games, both used. One was $34.99 the other was $4.00. They took the 20% off the $4 game and wouldnt let me ring them up separately to get the discount on the $34.99 game. I also picked out the original green game cases out of a shelf full of generic cases. She proceeds to hand be back generic cases and would not swap to the original case. Salt in the wound. F yourselves gamestop. Ill be shopping at bestbuy.
