I asked for a costume to be hemmed by Saturday. Same as below. Overcharged! $30 for a single line across a cape. Then was messaged by the seem-tress that she takes tips🥺 The costume cost $36 total. Debbie wasn’t very friendly. My friend arrived at the other place at 4pm today. Paid $20 and was done in 30 mins and out the door. The design didn’t even line up. GO ElSEWHERE!! There is a reason why there is the same reviews over and over!

Very happy with Ms Debbie at the Sewing Ladies. Old Town Furniture thats next door was especially nice too.

I do NOT recommend The Sewing Ladies. I always prefer to do business locally but unfortunately they care more about being right than customer satisfaction. Will have to go elsewhere in the future.I had to have some embroidery done but the seamstress was not able to match the embroidery already on my jacket. Instead of communicating with me that she wasnt able to match the current embroidery she decided to do the best she could. I really felt that it was not professional and I was disappointed. I wouldve liked to bring the jacket elsewhere for this particular project since she couldnt match the embroidery and there was a very noticeable difference (my first name ended up being a completely different size and font than my last name).I was thankful for her work and offered to pay to have the previous text removed but ask that I take the jacket elsewhere. She said that she knows best and that it is not customary for her to communicate this type of information with the customer. She refused to give me the jacket back unless I paid full price which I did not feel the price matched my expectations and it was not fair.

Well Im extremely disappointed. I took my wedding dress here for some minor alterations. Alterations which I suggested, but as a Professional Seamstress she should have known that it would have caused more problems with the dress, she never called me in for a fitting before final alterations were made, which could have avoided a lot of error. She had my dress for three months. And now with a month til my wedding, Ive had to find another seamstress to fix the mess she made.. which includes chopping off some the applique, also she cut about inches from around my shoulders that allows me to NOT BE ABLE LIFT MY ARMS UP. Im not even going to be able to dance with my husband at this point! When tried to discuss with her about the issues and that I had to take the dress somewhere else... she said I dont know what to tell you. In my opinion his lady does not know what she is doing. She will tell you that she make whatever alteration you want, whether or not its doable.

Completely dissatisfied with the service here. I asked for a regular hem for my pants and they quoted me $15 per pair which is already ridiculously priced but they were a local business so I decided to give them a try. When my wife picked up the pants they told her it was $50 for both pairs of pants because of a string in the pants which if they explained in the first place the price differences I would have never agreed. Instead of calling to explain the situation before deciding to restring the pants they did it anyway, and expect you to pay the new insane price. I would not recommend this place.

The Sewing Ladies are awesome!! I needed an alteration on a bridesmaids dress, and they got it done quickly and beautifully! The dress fit perfectly after they were done. The seamstress and manager are both kind and excellent at what they do.

This is a great resale & alterations store. Huge variety of clothing & excellent seamstresses. 🙂
