Great shopping experience with Catherine today at the Lloyd Center Lenscrafters. I know what I want, and all the formulaic stuff is in the system. That said, she showed me some advances in progressive lenses that will make this next pair better for me. Also get an improved photo-gray that will work in the car!Catherine helped me get my current, soon to be backup pair of glasses fitting right. She also turned me on to anti-fog spray that really works.I got lenses and new frames. My wife got new lenses. We know they will be right. If there should be an issue, it will get handled quickly.Doctor Ogata at Ogata Eye Care was awesome as usual. If you need a great optometrist in the Portland metro, you cannot go wrong with him or his associates.
Catherine helped me today with my glasses and was extremely supportive of my choices. She fixed up two pairs I brought in and made them look like new! It was fantastic!

Excellent attention and service. Within less than 3 hours I had new glasses perfectly fitted. I had unfortunately broken 2 pairs of glasses during my trip to Portland, I called my doctor and optician at home to get the prescription, went to LensCrafters, and got the multifocals precisely set up according to my prescription. This is the professional service which has made my life easier as I will leave Portland in a few days, being able now to lead a normal life.

After a very fast eye exam (in and out in half an hour!) at Ogata Eyecare, I picked out a pair of frames I liked and they were ready THE SAME DAY. What! That never happens. I got all the fixins, anti reflective coating and blue light filter, anti scratch, etc. I also have an astigmatism. I was so impressed by how quick and efficient everything was. They used my insurance also, so my overall out of pocket costs was pretty low, and I didnt even have to do a bunch of paperwork. It was a great experience.
Really good experience, sadly the masks made it hard to understand some of the workers who talk quietly, but other than that im really happy. They explained everything that I was paying for well, and didnt try to upsell me to much.
I just got my first glasses ever, so I dont have much to compare to. I had an exam & shopped for glasses, was cashed out & on my way, just 45 mins after appointment time. My glasses were ready for me to pick up in about an hour. All staff & doctor were very friendly & informative.

I like the selection of frames, lens options, and the kind, and professional employees here at the Lloyd Center location.
After three visits in, my two follow-ups ended up costing me the normal price as my first appointment. I was told that I didnt have a charge on the first follow-up and the second one they said they werent sure if i was charged. No one has ever done that to me at other doctors and I am beyond upset. I had to cancel my appointment today because they wanted to charge me again for what would have been my last follow-up. I will not be back.
The store in the Lloyd Center in Portland, Oregon is terrific. Really friendly staff. Helpful without being pushy.

The eye exam part would be 5 stars. However, the lady that helped me do frames and set up bi-focals apparently didnt like the fact I ended up deciding to use current frames I have. She tried to tell me my screws in frames were all stripped out. (Thats funny since they have never been touched and went to other eye clinic and they tighten the screws just fine!). She also failed to mention the lab actually closed at 5 PM.The guy was nice enough to stay late and get them fitted so I could see with out having to wait for the weekend.
We were visiting from out of town and needed assistance with my son’s contacts. This doctor’s office gave us efficient and helpful customer service. I’m so impressed!
The women who helped me find frames was very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Glasses are expensive without insurance and she was respectful of that and helped me find the best deal available. The price for insurance on the glasses is very reasonable and they help you throughout the entire process. I was very happy with my experience here.
I walked in not expecting to find anything, but was greeted, left to try on as much as I wanted, and helped professionally when I was ready. They worked through my insurance and got me a great price. For the fitting, they have a very high-tech fitting process, not just an optician marking your lenses with a Sharpie. With multifocals, I feel much more confident that my new lenses will be perfect. For once, Im actually excited about glasses!
Every visit has left me frustrated. Most recently, I came in for an eye exam. After removing my contacts (so I couldnt see any paperwork) I was verbally quoted an eye exam for $109, and was offered an extra eye test for $20. Which I agreed to thinking the total would be $129. But at checkout, I was told by the same person who gave me the initial quote that my eye exam was really $179 and with the extra test, it brought the total charges up to $199. Frustrating to be told two different things by someone and misled in costs...After the eye exam, the optometrist ordered trial contacts for me. I received a call that they arrived at the office and I could come pick them up. Well, I just took time out of my day today to pick them up, and no one in the office could find the contacts. So now I have to wait again for another call and the assurance that another set of trial contacts will be waiting for me in 2-3 days. Which will mean another trip there and another potentially frustrating encounter...Its unfortunate that their customer service is so poor and that I cant really trust what they tell me!
If I could give them a 0 rating, I would. No matter what I asked for, they tried to steer me to another, much more expensive option. I kept adapting, trying different frames or lenses, and three times they told me they could not do what I asked. I walked out and got exactly what I wanted at Eyes On Broadway, which is only about 12 blocks away. Absolutely maddening!
Normally a fan of LensCrafters but Ive had nothing but horrible experiences at this location. After ordering new glasses I wait 2 weeks for frames to be shipped and when I went to pick them up it was the wrong frame style.I had talked to employees on the phone saying they would have the right frames on hold for me when I came in this week. After wearing the wrong frames until the right ones came in, I go in and wait 30 minutes only to find out that the correct frames that had been put on hold for me werent there and someone had put them on display.This is my first pair of glasses and I wasnt gonna pay for the display frame - I was extremely dissapointed with the customer service and professionalism of this location of LensCrafters.
I found the staff friendly and helpful providing a non-pressure buying experience. The fitting was fast and professional. Their equipment is state-of-the art, with high-tech camera-based fitting that provided a fine and inexpensive eyewear set. I was extremely please.
Generally, a decent visit a few weeks ago. The office is pretty crammed and the doctor was friendly but a bit confusing with pricing. I needed to have my appointment to get fitted with contacts as well as glasses (which typically costs more) but they charged me for a glasses fitting only and left me without my contact prescription even though I was given a trial pair? A little strange but I plan to call this week to get it sorted out. Steep pricing without insurance definitely.
Forgot my eyeglasses at home on a short vacation in Portland. Lens Crafters at Lloyd Center was awesome to work with. Alejandro took great care in making sure my glasses were done, not only quickly, but well. Afterward his colleague made sure they were adjusted properly. All within an hour. I thought this would be a huge hassle but they made it easy. Im forever grateful. Now back to my mini-vacation.

Didnt get my eye exam here but ended up getting glasses in this place. Absolutely loved their attitude. I was able to look around in peace first and when I finally was ready to consult staff they were great. I was dealing with Jennifer who was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive without being pushy.They were quite busy when I was there but Jennifer still had time to explain differences to me and was patient with my endless pondering and trying to make up my mind. She did not push me to pick anything but rather worked with me to come up with the best solution.Was really please. My kind of customer service!
I called because we needed glasses the same day. The gentleman stated the lab closed at 7pm (Not true the lab closes at 5pm). Based on the information given we scheduled and appointment. Only after the appointment did they mention the lab closed at 5. They tried to say it was a miscommunication but I was very clear when I called. I would never recommend this place.
Poorest quality lenses that scratch so easily I cannot see out of my glasses after 6 months. Manager refused to replace the lenses but would charge me another $150. I already spent $400...way more than I would have online. Not to mention they adjusted the frame three times to fit my face and they are still crooked. Another pair of glasses down the drain!
Went to setup an appointment for an eye exam, was surprised at the $105 cost (with insurance!) for just a contact fitting (not including other costs), the person on the phone was extremely rude as I mulled over my options and then was asked Well, do you want to setup an appointment or not?.I will not be bringing my business here, being as I was paying $99 a year for an exam and a fitting out of pocket, Im going to call this rip-off pricing with rude service.
Went in to Lenscrafters today at Lloyd center hoping to buy a new arm for a broken pair of glasses that I bought at the same location about six months earlier. They let me know that typically the manufacturer wont sell replacement parts, but Garrett just walked right over to the display wall, plucked the same frame model off the wall. He swapped my lenses into the display frames and handed them to me. I walked in without a warranty, without even a receipt. I walked out without ever touching my wallet, and wearing a brand new pair of glasses.Best. Service. Ever.
LensCrafters prices are way too high. $425.00 just to get new prescription lenses on my existing RayBan frames. Will not do business with these price gougers.
I have been wearing contacts since I was 10 years old and have never been to a more horrible place. I went in for an eye exam because my contact prescription was expired. I told the lady I was very happy with my current prescription and didnt see any need to change it. The doctor change it anyways and made me come back to try them on. Apparently trying them on is an extra $100 charge!!! What ever you do DO NOT let me talk you into coming back.The receptionist were extremely rude and had horrible customer service. I simply asked them to explain the charges and they got very defensive. They told me, If you dont come back we wont give you your prescription. Pretty much got black mailed into paying the extra fees. Now I know why the doctor wanted to change it so bad.Now my supposed free eye exam (because of insurance) has cost me more than just going online and buying through 1800 Contacts.If your going to go to Lenscrafter I would STRONGLY suggest going to the Washington Square location. The doctors and staff there are a little bit better.
This company does the Kansas City shuffle on its customers. They advertise decently priced products, but will then charge you extra for a ton of features that other places will give you for free such as polycarbonate lenses and anti-glare/anti-scratch coating. Unless your insurance is paying for your new glasses, go somewhere else! I recommend Warby Parker who includes the aforementioned features for all of their glasses and also has a free 1 year scratch replacment warranty. The difference in price was almost $200.
Been using LC for over 25 yrs.Im a truck driver & when I need a new pair of glasses I need them now & Ive always walked away the same day with a new pair.There have been times Ive had to return because of a scratch or defect in a lens but Ive never had an issue with them standing behind the product & making it right.Also never been pressured to buy more expensive options.Walked out today with two pair of single vision AR coated glasses hard as I might try, I cant find a thing wrong with them. And under $500.00 for both.
Lens Crafters is horrible. My frames lasted 4 months under NORMAL WEAR. I am practically blind without my glasses and they are either on my face or on the night stand all the time. I take really good care of my glasses because I cannot do without. I wash them with their cleaner and dry with a chamy, that is all. The frame snapped and now has a sharp edge. The protection policy I paid for was only good on the exact pair of frames IF they are still available in the system. Then I had to pay again to utilize the policy. They did offer to LET me get different frames that I could pay for new lenses for WITHOUT the progressive, non-glare, anti-scratch, poly lenses, extras that I originally paid hundreds for. Then Id have to pay for those original lenses all over again if I wanted them in the new frames.I paid $600 for the original pair. When I picked them up in December they felt flimsy like the lenses would pop out while cleaning. The clerk said, Oh that happens all the time, just pop them back in. Its now April and I have to be careful not to cut myself while wearing Lens Crafters frames. So incredibly frustrating, horrible business practice.I cannot warn you away from Lens Crafters enough.
Lousy service had to return to get lenses I ordered and paid for. Customer service totally lacking. I would definitely select another company next time I need new glasses.
Not bad if you have insurance, but watch out if you dont as the prices are steep. The quality of the frames and lenses seems to first rate, so I was happy with my glasses.
This is a great place to actually get your glasses and the optometrist, Dr. Dale Ogata was funny and made the visit welcoming. I would recommend people to this Lenscrafters. Also, due to it being the weekend, please be patient when actually ordering your glasses and lenses. I have to admit it took a while getting my glasses set up, but the people were very friendly and apologizes to people for the wait. I honestly believe that they were trying their best to get to everyone as soon as possible, but people keep coming in right after the other to either pick up their glasses, order glasses, or get some recommendation as to what glasses they prefer.
Very disappointing interaction at this store today. I am a longtime Lenscrafter customer who brought a pair of my glasses in today for an attempted repair. I had severely bent the metal frames by lying on the glasses. The optician who looked at my glasses said she was unwilling to try to repair them and handed them back to me. Surprised at her unwillingness to try, I took the glasses to Vision Works, a competitor in the same mall. With a smile, the optician there bent my glasses back to where I can wear them again. Kudos to Vision Works, where I will take future business.

I am insured I went for glasses and contacts they were very clear on the charges not covered by my insurance. And Dr.Breeden is Awesome felt like I knew her for years I have a severe astigmatism so I have went through three different brands of contacts and finally have found the right ones for me. Throughout it all they were patient and helpfull.my glasses prescription was a little off at first so I was able to see Dr.Ogata the same day right away after letting them know of the problem..I would recommend this location and Day or weekend staff to anyone for a good experience.
This is seriously the worst place ever. I really like Dr Nguyen but her staff handling the contact lens order has consistently been THE WORST. They forgot my order completely in July 2017 and again in Jan 2018. I hate to leave Dr Nguyen but I cannot deal with the lazy incompetence of her staff anymore. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else so you won’t be completely stressed about your last set of contacts.They were not even apologetic which made t more disturbing. They blamed being on the phone with a managed are provider as the excuse and were just unaccountable for everything. THE WORST, guys, GO ELSEWHERE! Sorry Dr Nguyen you will be missed!
