At 11:20 on Sunday August 29th, the lady operating the pumps from inside the store at the 16875 SW Pacific Hwy, Portland, OR 97224 location stopped every pump to which I pulled up on my motorcycle. A law in 2002 passed that allows motorcyclist to pump their own gas. Initially, I didnt realize she was purposely stopping each pump to which I pulled up. If they have a policy at this location that requires employees to enter a customers card, then perhaps they should have a sign. This employee could have handled the situation better. She should have radioed one of the employees and asked them to tell me that they have to enter customers cards. Im not saying that they should have serviced me before other customers who arrived first, though they could have quickly explained their policy and informed me that someone will be over to enter my card. I went to three different pumps before someone explained what was going on.I hope that the store manager reads this review and will talk with this lady. Somehow I dont think that will happen given that I dont see a response by management to a single complaint. This shows you that they dont care! Good business respond to each negative review with an explanation and a promise for improvement.

The Space Age gas station on Fischer Road and Pacific Highway W is very visible from the road, especially coming from the South on Hwy 99.Even at busy times things move quickly mainly because the staff is extremely efficient and helpful. They are also always super-friendly.The store has a really nice selection and now there is a DQ right next door!

I was stuck in a traffic jam and literally ran out of gas 100 yards from the pumps in a left turn lane at a traffic light. The pump attendant sent me inside with no promise of a loaner gas can, but he did say the store hadgas cans. Inside, I pointed to my car across the intersection and inquired about a loaner can. The counter person said they dont loan cans, but directed me to a shelf where I found a 2 gallon plastic can for which I paid $31.69. When I suggested to her this was gouging, she simply averted my gaze and did not reply. How inhospitable for a neighborhoodbusiness! What a way to alienate a long time customer!I have been a happy patron of the King City Space Age for 8 years.The attendants at the pumps are always polite and friendly, the service prompt and efficient even at the busiest of times. This experience saddened and angered me. I suggest they reevaluate their loaner policy.

I went there for cheap gas but instead got a side of reality usually seen only on the news. A crazy Drumpf supporter who works there was going on and on about how they were going to take back what was stolen,how they we going to show them all because Mike the Pillow guy had ....bla bla bla. Same guy also wearing no mask, and having a cigarette 10 feet from the pumps. Ugh!

Most of the guys they hire here are unusually friendly for gas station attendants, recommend for both their friendly employees and prices.

This is my third time in a row I have gotten gas and got the same blonde haired guy that does not wear his mask, all the rest of the gas station attendants wear their masks. This guy wears it over his chin then takes it down and put it back up touching it and touching it and touching it. Today I watched him wipe his nose with the back of his hand all the way to his elbow and he touches our debit cards thats disgusting.

Never thought I’d share a review of a gas station experience, BUT. Andre helped me around noon on Wednesday, April 7th. He was boppin around making lighthearted conversation with everyone. He was so kind when he asked what I’d like. I’ve never picked up a good vibe like that from a complete stranger in such a long time. Since the gas is cheap and the service is (thus far) exceptional, I’ll be back.Thanks for making me smile, Andre.

Warning: anti-masker works here!! Normally this place is great and the employees are really nice but the balding guy was walking around with NO mask and chatting and spitting everywhere and would only help the white men with lifted trucks...I was waiting for 10 minutes. I’m just trying to get some gas while not getting covid?

I go to this gas station every morning and all of the workers go above and beyond and are very hard workers. They are always my go to and the people alone are the reason I keep coming back. Keep up the great work everyone! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Asked for a fill with premium, got mid grade. When I asked if my car had been filled with midgrade, I got the stupidest answer I think I have ever heard, I was told yes super is midgrade. I should have had my car towed to a dealership and had them drain the tank, fill it with premium and send this place the bill.

Quick service, and their propane is $0.40 less per gallon than Chevron.

Alway cheapest gas and good gas. Service has been really good for us too.

I really like this gas station, friendly and fast. But, the quick mart attached to it is not enforcing having to wear masks, so I won’t be going there again. I had a no mask customer that ‘this is America’, whatever that’s supposed to mean. It’s the law so quick mart should enforce it.

Very convenient except when you need gas at night, or need to pay with cash.

I will never be back to this location after today. I just encountered An awful Andrew, who was an unbelievable rude attendant. After pulling up to the station to fill my tank, he proceeded to repeatedly ask me for my card so that he could swipe it at the pump. I told him no, that I normally pay inside once my fill has been completed. Well, he wasn’t having that and kept telling me that I needed to relax. No sir, you’re the one who needs to relax and get a job elsewhere. I then told him that I wanted someone else to pump my gas because I wasn’t comfortable with him, he completely disregarded what I said and proceed to grab the pump and place it into my gas tank. Utterly disrespectful!! I am so disgusted with this place. I will never ever be back. I will go back to the gas station I used to frequently visit- where I least receive decent service and am treated like an actual human being. Shame on you!!

Would cut the like to a 1/2 if i could. The worse service i have ever had at a gas station. Ive tried them several times all the same. Will not ever use them again. Recommend the arco up the street at king city. Great service, courteous,intelligent employees.

Currently don’t have a vehicle and this is the closest store to my home.Most of the staff are so extremely sweet and I love them dearly except for the bigger lady who sings. She has been beyond rude in my experiences. Treating people like dogs for smoking outside of the store and what not.We come here often, we are polite. On Christmas we bought snacks for the gas attendant even though we can’t afford much ourselves because that’s just how we are and we love most of the employees there.I think her attitude needs to be knocked down a peg, if she took the time to treat people like people she’d be a much better employee.

I find it a little uncomfortable driving through the drive thru for the new DQ and being this close to carelessness of this magnitude. It looks as though Space Age management is fine with employees putting lives in danger, yet it is unacceptable for employees to wear sunglasses while fueling vehicles. OSHA and DQ management are next to be notified of this.

Tend to have the best prices in town. No, Im wrong. Best prices in about 3 towns. Always busy but the staff is helpful and effecient.

Love this gas station. It’s a little out of my way but totally worth it. Great prices, fast friendly attendants, and they always offer a treat for my dog if he’s in the car with me. Thank you, space age! :)

One of my favorite gas stations, I almost exclusively come here super nice staff, clean area. At least three of the attendants know me, whenever I pull up in a different car they always notice. Love this station

Great service, prices, and also has an awesome little retail store thats attached to an A&W Restaurant. My favorite gas station in Tigard/King City. Highly recommend! Has many lanes, too, and is relatively easy to get in & out of. That being said, I do however think there should be a driveway off the highway as well as the two off of Fischer Road for much easier access. Thank you for reading. ⛽💰

No Im not one to pinch my pennies till theyre completely flat but why pay more for fuel when you dont have to thats why I always go to the same station Space Age fuel.Those guys are always out there busting their butts in the Blazing heat or freezing cold to get everybody serviced as quickly as possibly.They always act so surprised when I tip them a couple dollars. Who can get by on just minimum wage alone ? I do appreciate Quick Service in a friendly smile.

I called this place and said that I was specifically looking for a carton of my cigarettes because the place that I get them from didnt have mine! I made it clear that I wanted a carton and not packs! Oh yeah we have one! I drive 20 minutes to be told they still charge by the pack so I wouldnt be getting the carton pack price anyways. And to add insult to injury, it was the assistant manager who wasted my time and he knew my intentions were to come and get a carton to save money because he started to explain to me before I even said anything that they still charge by the pack but Id be saving .40 cents for every 2 packs! So he wasted my time and my gas for $1.00 of savings!I could have spent the $12 extra dollars on buying 10 packs and not wasted 40 minutes of my time and $15 worth of gas.I will never spend another dime at a Space Age Fuel gas station!

After filling up my tank i tried to buy a lighter and some snacks. When the older lady refused to help me because of my age regarding the lighter. Mind the fact i showed her my ID and I’m 20. She claimed it was a tobacco product. I informed her she was wrong and suggested she look up the laws surrounding it and she told me to get out. I tried to call later and a dude answered and was also very rude and defended her actions. LOOK UP THE LAWS. a 10 year old can legally buy a lighter. Because of how I was treated I will never be purchasing gas here again. Much rather go to ARCO and get cheaper gas and snacks/lighters.

Went in and paid cash and the Guy at the counter took my slip and money. Went back to my car and the Guy at the pump said I neededto pay. So I went back in and they said I was never in there to pay.They said there was no pump receipt in the register. I said he probablywrote the wrong pump number down. When I paid he yelled out $25Diesel, but I thought he was talking about another pump. After these Guys screaming at me, he gave my gas. He said I hope your not a Liar or this is coming out my pocket. Typically best priced gas in the area. Occasionally understaffed with one attendant running mad at all the pumps. They have all been friendly though and if they’re having a cigarette or are talking stop and come over as soon as you drive up.

I stop by here all the time. Its usually pretty busy and the attendants are pretty quick. Ive noticed the last two times I brought my dog and he was spoiled with dog treats, he got pretty sick.The first time they fed him 3-4 treats and he was vomiting and had brown loose water for BMs for a few days. He had no other changes in his diet. I waited for a few days for his stool to return to normal.We went back yesterday and they fed him a treat and a half. This morning he was vomiting and shaking, his stool was very loose with drops of blood.My pups only a year and a half old. Hes still very excitable, but when he gets treats from there- he acts like an old dog from how poor he must be feeling.Just something to keep in mind when they try to feed your pups

Horrible customer service! The manager always has an excuse about why their employees behave the way they do. Its the managements job to teach them properly and take ownership of the horrible service that is given.

We actually visited the new A & W resturant that is attached to the mini-mart. Its new to town. My kids love the root beer which is apparently made on-site. Cheese curds are delicious. Plenty of Burger options, chicken, and a kids menu. To me its tastes a bit salty. And the prices are high, not bargain menu here. But the food tastes of a higher quality which is nice. There is a drive-thru here, it just hard to see at first.

Really not impressed with their payment system. They make you get out of your car and take some sort of paper in and then pay and have the clerk fill it out then bring it back and wait for an attendant again. So you wait twice and there is no need. There are so many gas stations that it seems silly to come here. 2 stars because it at least has diesel, but come on change it so that people dont have to get out of their cars for some convoluted payment system.

Great selection of snacks and drinks here. They are under construction and have few parking spaces, but that will change soon as it progresses. They are adding an Arbys drive through! The staff is super friendly.

The bathroom was out of order because the employee just cleaned it an hour and a half before they close. So your customers are only allowed to use your bathroom when its dirty or are your employees too lazy to clean after closing when its appropriate? Terrible service.

Cheap prices, decent convenience store, (mostly) quick service... Most of the pump attendants are younger and decently helpful, as opposed to some of the half-drunk/high creepers that work at other stations.

The dark haired lady with the half shaved head is a totally rude and unhappy individual. She never smiles, she is obviously miserable in her job and does not care about how she treats customers nor whom will return.

To those complaining about having to go inside and pre-pay for fuel. Per policy attendants are not allowed to handle cash outside for obvious reasons. If the attendant has cash on them (and it adds up fast when busy) that is not a good situation for them to be in. Any cash lost or misplaced the attendant is responsible for. If you want the attendant to go inside and stand in line to give the cashier your money, people are going to be waiting a very long time to get gas simply because you chose to pay with cash. If every 3rd car the attendant has to go stand in line inside (they cant cut in front of all the people that have been standing in line already) can you even imagine what a mess that would soon become? The excuse of having your kid with you doesnt fly. Dont bring your kid with you if thats an issue. And where exactly are you and your kid driving to that you cant take them out of the car during the entire trip?

I’m genuinely surprised they can even call this fuel. It’s so watered down it was almost drinkable.

The new A&W that got installed right next to space age is terrible, however Space Age itself is a great convenience store.
