I was there a few months ago for a perm and haircut and Im still feeling frazzled from my experience at Luxe Salon Spa. I just need to write this review. The greetings that Ive received when I walked in at the spa were warm and welcoming. I was looking forward to my first experience with them and it all started in a great way. I went in with a picture to show the hairdresser what I was looking for, for my new perm. My session started later than my actual booking time but they were kind enough to let me know that they were running a little behind schedule. I was looking forward to relaxing and taking in my first Luxe Spa experience. The minute I sat in my chair I could feel my hairdressers need to get things done fast in order to stay and be on time. I was anxious the entire time. In the meantime, the hairdressers were laughing over people who loved Christmas music too much (I happen to be one of them) and then laughing about people who have sensitive scalps (I happen to be one of them too). The hair brushing was way too intense for me that my scalp was sore for two days. I would have loved to say something but seeing that these hairdressers were having a good laugh about this topic made me feel uncomfortable. My haircut turned out to be very nice. My perm on the other hand looked great at the salon (it looked nothing close to the picture I showed my hairdresser but it still looked pretty) and then three days later my hair went completely flat. I purchased 5 products from the salon that were supposed to help in keeping the curls on my head. I mean, applying products to my hair is not rocket science and so I was expecting my curls to come back. Nothing worked. I tried my products 4-5 times and my hair came back flat over and over again. I also noticed while I was at the salon that once my hair was permed and dry that the hairdresser used a curler to finish up the job. Why would she use a hair curler when I just got a brand new perm?? I sent the owner an email explaining what had happened and I never heard back. I then called the Luxe Salon Spa and explained to the receptionist that I had written an email and asked if I could return some of my hair products and again, I never heard back from anybody!!!

I love this salon. Every stylist is professional and very talented. The staff is super friendly and the salon is super clean. They follow covid rules and care deeply about the safety of their clients. Will visit again. I highly recommend them.

I started going to Jennifer (owner) since her first day out of beauty school (20 years). I have watched her grow into the great professional she is today! Her desire to take the best care possible of her clients goes beyond what is expected of her and she demands the same from her team of stylists. In these worrisome times of COVID-19 she does everything she can to protect her clients and herself and her staff, as well. The work performed by each stylist (and I have had to use several of them over the years) is unique and guided by the client and their own experience. The Location is perfect and very relaxing with a view of the Hudson River making the experience that much nicer.I highly recommend Luxe Salon and Spa, you will love it, its a guarantee!!

Very clean place, very professional, friendly people, reasonable prices. Hallie has gave me a few haircuts, Partial highlights, and I am extremely happy with the results when I get my hair done.

I was looking for a salon that was closer to home. I looked up places near me and came across Luxe. I read reviews and went through their Instagram page and immediately booked a session with Delyla! Could not be happier!! I brought photos of what I wanted but told her I trusted her opinion in what would look best with my natural root color. Would HIGHLY recommend. Salon was clean, everyone was so nice and the overall price was reasonable!

Went in for a lash lift and tint with Melissa and I had a great experience. My lashes look great now. You could barley see them before lol. I would definitely recommend this salon.

Came in for a mens color.Charged $80 for essentially just bleach on 2 inches of hair...Not to mention this was after 3 hours sitting in the chair when she couldnt get the color right. So we nuked my hair with bleach some more. At least include the toning session for free if you know you messed up.Im supposed to come back and pay AGAIN for her to finish what I originally wanted?For $80 I shouldve able to get the color I wanted. She almost let me walk out looking ridiculous if I didnt say anything.Maybe it was an off day, I was recommended to this place. She was super nice. Im just not happy overall.Probably will be getting my hair fixed elsewhere.

Ive been eyeing Luxe salon for a while since moving to Poughkeepsie and after some research and Instagram made an appointment with Delyla for a cut and iam beyond pleased and happy with my decision.She is very knowledgeable,professional and asked of my hair history and my products I use and was very direct an clear when asking me what I wanted.And she so nice to talk with :) this hidden gem is worth it. Delyla is now my go to girl!

Had a terrible experience. Did not feel like the staff was taking mask-wearing, social distancing (when possible), and overall COVID protection seriously, and was not made to feel safe. Do not recommend.

I love this salon! I always get a fantastic haircut by Deanna and brow wax by Melissa. I love that the prices are reasonable, and that I never feel judged even though Im not a person who is really into hair and makeup.

I chose Luxe Salon & Spa because their prices were reasonable for college students like myself. I no longer live in the area, but I had an excellent experience here the handful of times that I went. First off, I love that they do special offers for new customers first 3 visits. Its a very nice welcome gift and definitely kept me coming back. While the place is small, it also makes the experience personal and individualized. I was always offered a drink if I was in the waiting area upon my arrival. I didnt ever book a hair service here, but I did have nail and spa services done because of their great offers I received via email. Their esthetician, Melissa, is wonderful. Not only is she very friendly, but she is also knowledgeable and helpful. She gave me really great advice with regard to my skincare. Deanna, their nail technician, is sweet and remembered details from our prior conversations. The place is kept clean and the staff is very friendly. Overall, I would certainly recommend Luxe Salon & Spa!

Love love love this place Delyla is the best hairdresser I’ve ever used. She always gives me exactly what I ask for. I even bring my 12 year old daughter to her and she does a great job for her too, she actually looks forward to going now :-)

Ive had 2 experiences now (one haircut, one color) at Luxe and they have both been wonderful! Everybody is so friendly, they ask about your hair and what you want our of your experience at the salon, and Ive loved both of the results Ive gotten! Delyla is amazing!!!

My hair was really ruined, like 3 different colors and very unhealthy. Ive been trying to fix it for months and they fixed it in less than 2 hours! The best salon Ive ever been to. Theyre like magic. And while you wait theres beautiful views of the hudson.

I had my first visit with Bri yesterday for a wash and haircut. The first thing she did was asked me to tell her about my hair, what I do to it, how I wear it, etc. I never had a salon ask me this before but now I realize how important this step was. My hair finally works for me after a great shape and cut. The salon is quaint, chic and comfortable. Because it was my first visit, I received 3 coupon cards with various discounts off services and products on my next 3 visits. Im so happy I was referred here!

LOVE these guys. I always leave the salon feeling great. Youd never know such a gem is tucked away on the 5th floor of this building down by the river. It lends itself to have an amazing view of the river, especially on a clear day. They have many services (and haircuts at student rates too!). Their eyelash expressions are gaining a lot of popularity as well!

Delyla is truly a miracle worker - I really wanted my naturally almost-black hair to be ashy blonde, and to avoid the orangey-yellow shade it usually bleaches to at all costs. Delyla was honest about the process, that it would probably take two visits, and what level she could probably get it to in one day.Everyone was so kind and welcoming. From now on, Im only trusting Delyla with my hair color!!!

The ladies at Luxe Salon are in a league of their own. They are so engaging and professional and do outstanding work! My best friend/matron of honor and I visited Luxe for the first time to get gel mani/pedis the day before my wedding. I also got my hair styled for the rehearsal dinner. Their establishment is gorgeous and they have a beautifully clean space with a lot of windows for natural light. The view overlooks the Hudson river which is visually stunning while youre getting pampered! We really felt like royalty while we were getting our nails done-- we had our own private room and were completely catered to. They offer great color choices and did an incredible job. My hair was done quickly but with exceptional care. I would have to say that it was the best experience I have ever had at a salon and would highly recommend Luxe for both nail and hair services!

Luxe Salon is the best salon in the Hudson Valley. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend Luxe Salon for anything from a trim to doing the hair and makeup for your wedding party. Luxe is like a NYC salon without having to buy a train ticket.

I’ve never received a worse haircut. I showed my stylist a photo, explained my hair type, and said exactly what I was wanting. What I got was an uneven hair cut that looks hideous. I have choppy layers and she cut my hair about four inches shorter than I asked. I can’t wait for it to grow out. I will never go back here; the staff was not friendly nor was my stylist. They seemed eager to get me in and out rather than giving a thought about the service that I went there for

Second time going here for highlights and a cut by Delyla DeFelice. And I have decided this is going to be my salon from now on. Aside from the fantastic rates, everyone there is helpful and passionate about beauty. One thing that really struck me is Delylas dedication to learning the newest techniques. And to me, this speaks volumes for Luxe!

Deanna did an amazing job on my hair color, highlights and haircut.This was my first time here and I will be returning next time I need my hair done.

Had a color melt/tone by Delyla and she did an amazing job. I havw brown roots with blonde ends. I saw her work on Instagram and discussed with her what I wanted done and she accomplished just as she stated. They offered me coffee or water which was very generous and they even toned/colored my extensions to match the color of my hair. It took a little over 3hrs but was so worth it. The salon is nice and clean with an amazing view of the Mid Hudson Bridge. The other stylists were very nice and welcoming, not to mention how affordable all of their services are in which they offer a huge selection of services from lashes & makeup, to hair, to nails, eyebrows, etc! I will definitely be back when I need a touch up on my color(I plan to bring my blonde back up once my brown roots grow down) and when a haircut is needed!
