Again its difficult to gain 5 stars fr me. Adams is the only place to purchase a full selection of produceTheir array of specialty food. Cheezes etc. Is wonderful. Garden center a delight. Down graded because of high prices on staple foods and high price of plants in garden center. Personal concerned and helpful.

It’s my home away from home! I always get my birthday cakes from there and I find amazing ingredients to make amazing food from there!

Tony at the deli is a gem. He is so, so, so kind and helpful. I had to make a last minute order on the phone and they closed in 10 minutes, he was so helpful and sweet and took his time to search for things for me and answered all of my questions. Definitely an exemplary employee! Thanks, Tony!

Great high end grocery store. They have a lot of items that you can’t find at a typical grocery store. On the other hand, you won’t find Lay’s potato chips or Top Ramen here. They have a great bakery, a great candy section, a well stocked deli, a well stocked produce section, a great butcher section and a great seafood section. There is a cheese counter that is over the top in the amount and variety of cheeses. There is a really good grill and ice cream counter as well. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Adams is great always has fresh produce staff is always very helpful and friendly I love shopping there except can be very crowded at times but if you wait till the rush is over smooth sailing

I love this supermarket. The nursery is amazing, with an extremely knowledgeable staff. The ☕station is really good. I particularly love the cheese samples. The selection of items is extensive and I can spend hours here. These pictures do not give it justice.

Excellent fresh produce from local farms, the fish department is amazing you feel you want to buy everything. Great salads, especially the tuna salad. The bakery also is fantastic. Super friendly staff. I love this place!

This is an older store, very eclectic in its set-up. This the flagship, then Kingston 1981, Newburgh 1998 and lastly Wappingers in 2011. The Poughkeepsie store has things in odd places. Very tight and cluttered even. Many times it looks like a child planned the store. Then you turn a corner and theyll be something totally put of place. What I mean is theres a bakery an best to it youll have outdoor furnature and then next to that theres produce. There are very tight choke points - very common in all Adams. And at these choke points theres multiple products stacked to get your attention. There are a lot of variety in their product. But the prices on the same product between their own stores seems to be different. The parking only seems adequate on off times. Wednesday its 10% off so be prepared for the store to be mobbed and the lot to be full.The Hudson Valley is lacking Trader Joes and Whole Foods - so till then Adams is the only game for organic and higher quality products. For everyday products go to a big box supermarket. Adams doesnt even stock those products anyway.The new addition of Adams Kitchen is like a caterer. All available online per store.UPDATE: Amazon has put out a press note that theyre opening 250 new Whole Foods and the Hudson Valley - Fishkill, on fact, is near the top of the area list.

I been coming here for many years and I have so many memories coming here including holiday themed areas in the store. Highly recommend going here to get the BEST FOOD!!!

This grocery store is falsely known to the local community as having all organic food, on my first visit to the store I had trouble finding organic food bc the organic section is extremely limited. Everything organic here is wrapped in plastic and often styrofoam. This store clearly does not grasp the concept that many people consume organic, not only for their health but for the environment as well.

Ive been to all the Adams stores and this one is my favorite. Thinking about why, I cant really put my finger on it.Its a bit of the intangible vibe of the store and its interplay of employee engagement, product quality and availability, and the orderly and considerate shoppers that I find frequent this subdued oasis.

This grocery store is our absolute favorite. During our time staying in a hotel less than 4 miles away for 2 weeks, we have likely went every other day to get some of the pre-made food and have barely been disappointed with anything we have purchased there. Highly recommend even just for a quick meal to pick up or to find groceries of any kind. Its an adventure everytime to see what new things they have.Recommendations: The harvest chicken salad, cheese danish ring, Swedish meatballs, butternut squash raviolis from the hot bar.Warnings: We purchased a carrot cake from the bakery section that was prepackaged, but by the next day it was already producing mold on it. The same has happened with our bagels purchased there tooBe cautious of the freshness of products, especially the baked goods made in house.

Went to Adams yesterday and just want to say thank you to all the staff working so hard! One member of the staff went out of his way to find me an item I needed for my mother-in-law who should not be out at this time. I received smiles from so many of the staff which was appreciated during this stressful time. So grateful to all of you for being there! Best place to find fresh produce and locally sourced food!

Adams is really awesome. In addition to the great selection of groceries they have fun events. The Halloween tunnel and Christmas tunnel are so awesome. Employees are really helpful and actually appear to be happy to be there. Prices can be a smidge higher but I honestly dont care. Adams gives back so much to the community that I enjoy supporting them.

Great garden department UNLIKE the Wappingers store which is the worst, most poorly managed store ever. Poughkeepsie is my favorite location. I live 2 minutes from wappingers and drive 30+ minutes to Poughkeepsie because I hate Wappinger location. The majority of people working there are unbelievably nasty and incompetent. I love the Poughkeepsie location though...and friendly staff, especially meat dept.

Great sale on patio furniture. Helpful service and even loaded purchase in truck. Usually only purchased from their quality produce and meat sections and gardening areas. This year have discovered what I was missing. Made earlier in season purchase and have been very happy. Recommend you give them a try.

Nice store,baked good that I purchased were good. I love all their store locations. My wife and I but sandwiches if its a lazy night. I love going to their coffee bar and talking to the staff. Very helpful and a good selection of local coffee.

Went to pick up milk and cold cuts. Picked up my usual and went to the check out. I didnt notice that the cold cut package was opened, and when the casher scanned it and put it in the bag, the meat fell out onto the floor. The cashier showed to me after I had paid for it. I took it back to the deli for replacement. When I got home, I realized that they replaced it with a lesser amount of meat. It was the expensive ham, but I guess they figured that I wouldnt notice the difference. Next time it happens, I will be returning it to the service desk, and hope they dont charge me a service fee for the return.

Adams is where I do my weekly shopping for meats and vegetables. You can always get the regular things, but they carry a lot of special items too, like international cheese. They pack in paper bags, which is a plus. Still lots of plastic though. Bakery is nice, pastries and breads. What I know less and less is how much local they buy, sometimes feels like another supermarket.But the flowers and plants are the best in the area, lots of backyard items.

Great family owned store, helpful staff, a huge selection of things not typically found at your local chain grocery store. Lots of local items including fresh produce. A big salad bar, prepared hot foods daily, desserts, seafood, meats, a sweet shoppe, bakery. You name it, they probably have it. The only gripe I have, is that some of the prices seem a bit high. Certain things I will buy elsewhere.

Has a fresh, local, crisp neat feel to it. The produce is of high quality and the layout of the entire market is pleasing to the eye. Great variety and yes it is a bit pricey unless they have deals....but you get your moneys worth

A great grocery store, though it wont have everything you might get at a supermarket. A dozen high end artisinal olive oils, but no soap or shampoo.Amazing selections of coffee, cheese, fish, protein, all high end and at a good price. Highly recommended for any goodies out there.Note, this isnt like whole foods where everything is marked up. You can buy your regular groceries here without paying an arm and a leg.

Always come here for the freshest food and produce. A little pricey sometimes but well worth it. Their hot food has something for everyone if you decide not to cook tonight. Great family owned super farm market.. They grow their own organic and non organic produce as well as source out to our local farmers in the area. Not only do they grow their own annuals and perennials they also source out as much as possible to local growers. They have a great Seafood Dept. A great selection of meats from local farmers. The Meat Dept also sells grass fed and organic beefs. Free range chicken and organic. A great selection of cheeses and coffee here locally and globally. The store in general is prized on providing locally made products. They truly understand the value of keeping it local to their community while also providing great products both near and abroad! The customer came up with Adams catchphrase I Love That Store! That was naturally adopted throughout the company!

Im always happy with my visit to Adams. Its become one of my favorite places to pick up flowers. Theres always a great selection of items I have difficulty finding elsewhere. I found an excellent steak there recently that i had the butcher grind up for me. It turned into an amazing meal. Everyone was very helpful.

The butchers go out of their way to earn a customers repeat business. In the nursery I purchased 19 trees and shrubs from Adams nursery over a two year period for my home. Adams has a large diverse selection from which to choose. The staff is knowledgeable and exhaust their efforts to satisfy and win the loyalty of their customers. When I had to return a shrub within the two year warranty the staff without hassle honored the warranty. I also purchased decorative rocks for my landscape and the two deliveries were accurate and delivered as scheduled.

Must go to Adams! The fresh fruits and vegetables are always outstanding. The meat selection is great. I especially appreciate that there is a selection of package sizes in the meats. Boars head cold cuts are top quality. For fresh grocery items it had to be Adams!

I always love going to Adams. They such a great selection of fresh vegetables and a great fish market. I also cant wait for tomorrow Match 1 they have there flower spring show. I buy all my flowers there.

I think Adams is great! I love all the various items they carry but I especially love the beautiful flowers and plants they have and their garden staff is so knowledgeable.. I cant forget those awesome cider doughnuts they make outside in the fall!!

There are so many different stations with delicious prepared foods on top of the normal groceries. Soups, cheeses, salad bars, sushi, bakery, candies, etc. It is the services that many grocery stores offer but with lots of unique items and made with professional staff. Then there is there garden and lumber supplies. It is a very sweet spot with several in the Hudson Valley each with their own specialties.

Stop and shop makes me sad after being in Adams. Better than whole foods, and not so uptight. And the service is top notch. A bit pricey but the quality of the products far exceeds those of any supermarket Ive ever seen.

They have updated their store a bit with a brand new bakery which is very good. And ordering a sandwich will cost you extra if you combine turkey with roast beef or ham or pastrami. Their cheeses and meats are very good. Their macaroni salad is very tasty. The crackers and the dips are tasty. And the bananas and oranges are very fresh not spoiled.

I live in Chicago but needed flowers from the area for a proposal plan. As I have minimal knowledge about flowers, I described what I wanted and left the rest to them. The bouquet they made for my proposal was STUNNING. They clearly put genuine effort into making their customers happy!! Highly recommend them.

Everything was great here, top notch! The food from their hot bar was to die for! I did have an issue with the cashier I had but I spoke to the front end supervisor and she took care of it right away. The only thing I didnt like which isnt Adams fault at all is how RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL some of the customers were. Today I went to Adams Poughkeepsie location I was in the bakery wanted to purchase Danish, but flies were in the case sitting on the Raspberry Danish. I told 2 bakery staff one was loading the case she said yeah we have a fly problem. She left the Danish in there I told both of them I could not purchase any that it was disgusting. Nothing was done. Maybe the Dutchess board of health should do an inspection.

I love this place and would have given it 5 stars, but seen a moldy blackberry on one of the cheesecakes in the bakery the other day. First time I ever seen a problem though. Otherwise food is always fresh and delicious and great variety in produce and their sweet shop is out of this world.

Parking was not easy and the store is still under renovation. Found the staff extremely nice and there selection was adequate. I would highly recommend them for your next outing. They are doing their best to run a business and service the customers. I would give them 5 stars once the renovations are completed.

I love going to Adams they have a lot of organic food from local farms. They also have a very wide selection of hot food. They have mac and cheese, wings, veggies, salads, soups a great place to go for a quick bite or lunch.

I have been a loyal customer for many years and for the most part, I have been delighted with the quality of the food I have purchased. A few years ago, I stopped buying the peaches because many times they were mealy and not very juicy. I switched to nectarines. Now, this year I have gotten many that are not juicy and become rotten near the stem. Are they being picked too early? Ive thrown too many out. Please improve the quality of these items.

I really enjoy going here for the produce section as well as their selection of all natural and organic meats. Due to my family and I no longer following the traditional American diet we dont eat 90% of foods offered in grocery stores.Beyond that, Adams has a great selection of other items, services and products as well. Not just food but gardening, seasonal items and even in an in-store aquarium that my step-daughter loves to visit.The prices are great for what we shop for and they even have unique food related items that you may not find at other grocery stores.

What can I say, the salad bar is so good, you just cant leave without buying some mouth watering entre. They have the best fruits and vegetables in the Hudson valley, they work with local farms in the Hudson valley. Dont forget to visit the bakery.

Adams is a great place, it can get crowded at times but that just makes for a challenge in the parking lot but, I love their produce, always have. Yeah they are very seasonal but it doesnt bother me much. I know they renovated so they got a big bakery and their coffee and cheese area got bigger. Plus wednesday after 5pm is family night, 10% off so yeah...little savings there.

Adams is the best, my favorite! So much variety with food and amazing home and garden. Reasonably priced, high quality...always stocked up...pleasant staff and efficient checkout, never a long wait....they could use a bigger parking lot but hey, if thats your only problem youre doing pretty good.

Farm/grocery store. Some higher prices but well worth the visit. Hot table foods to take out, salad and soup bar, coffee roaster, cheeses from all over and the freshest produce, dairy, meat and fish. Its a wonderful place.

Very cool place. Best described as a farmers market as the produce is all local and delicious. There are also nice craft-style sections, for example a chocolate section that is all homemade and very very tempting. There is also food and ice cream available outside but clearly attached and part of Adams. While I didnt grab a bite there were plenty of folks sitting with burgers, hot dogs and soft serve dessert. Tempting. This is a good place to go AFTER youve eaten because hot dang, if you go hungry youll end up eating all the things. A+

Great store - has many specialty items that cant be found locally. On Wednesday evenings they have a 10% customer appreciation discount from 5 pm until closing on everything in the store except their items from the already reduced produce cart. Adams has a fresh fish market, deli, hot table, salad bar and meat market in addition to a huge produce section, etc. This location does not have its own bakery, however, probably because they have a separate bakery business on their property.Of course, Adams is well know for its indoor & outdoor nurseries and farm equipment, but not being much of a gardener and definitely not a farmer, I cant provide much info about that, except to say that I have a friend who is a Master Gardener who does her shopping here.

Adams has some of the best food selection in the Hudson Valley. Their meet department is second to none. Local pork, veal, beef, chicken, etc is phenomenal. Staff is friendly and prices are reasonable for the quality.

This is my very favorite tr e place to shop in the whole Hudson Valley. Today I just went there for their excellent freshly made hot soups and homemade bread as,I had done a big shop late last week .
