Ive gotten my car serviced here twice. Both times my car was completed quickly an reasonably priced. My company uses them as well, one time a coworker brought his car to the dealership because the check engine light was on and they stated he needed over $1000 of work, he decided to bring it to Marks Trackside for a second opinion and they explained the recommended work in fact did NOT need to be done and completed the repair for $55.I trust and highly recommend them. Will be referring them to everyone.
It appears that Marks is closed. Now I am stuck with a vehicle that is not running and not sure where to fix. Anyone know when this place will open?
I had an issue with my car, couldnt tell if it was something serious or not but was concerned. I call Marks and within an hour they had me come in, they resolved the issue and was on my way within 15 minutes. Always having a leased car under warranty Ive not had many opportunities to use their services but have recommended them to everyone I know. Now that I own my car I will be taking my own advice and using them when needed. Its nice to have a trust worthy mechanic you can count on.
Im a customer of this business more than 10 years. Recently I had an issue with my car headlights. The diagnosis was headlight lights having a water leak. Mark told me about the water leak. Asked me to replace the headlights. But I decided not to replace. But Mark also, asked me to fix few parts related to the headlights, which was $800+.Within days, all the parts installed are broken and when I reached mark, I was told they are not giving warranty on any of those parts, since I did not replace the headlights assembly. While this may sound very logical, I strongly feel, Mark shouldnt have replaced any parts knowing that it will be broken and instead should have given me clear direction and guidance. That would have saved me at least $800.When I reached to Mark, they are not interested in speaking to me( for 10+ year customer). I feel, may be supporting this local business may not be a good idea, especially given the fact we have enough choices in this area.
I am surprised to see any negative reviews of this company. I believe it is a well run company and they are fair and honest. The pricing may be a bit higher than a national auto repair, but you are paying for quality and knowledge, which I will gladly pay for based on my experiences elsewhere. For example, I went through 3 sets of brakes and rotors on my car getting them installed with a national chain, Marks identified there was a problem with my calipers and when they changed the calipers, the brakes and rotors, I no longer had to change them so often. Yes the price was higher, but they did it right and in the long run it did end up saving money. I would highly refer them based on my experiences.
Trust worthy and your keeps your car in good shape...
Had an issue with my Nephews car, took it there cause I know they been in business for a while and I didnt want to deal with a dealer. I am thankful they got the car running it was a computer issue, however when they called to tell me it was running they said it needed an oil change and the AC wasnt working. I initially said dont worry about it but called back and said yes to fixing the AC issue. Come to find out it was an issue they caused and the guy laughingly told me on the you we left the fuse out, it cost you XX for a fuse. Im not happy I had to pay for there mistake. Also I popped the hood when I got home to find they forgot to hook up a hose on the air box. I wouldnt not recommend them, however Im not happy about being charged for there mistake.
Oil changes are reasonable and repair work is honestly quoted and recommended. Good family owned garage. The shuttle service is great too. They did well with my brakes also on a few of my cars. Had an estimate for big job and they are inline with other estimates on labor and parts.
I called this morning to ask for a price check on parts and labor for a specific replacement. As soon as I explained this, the guy roughly replied, How do you know thats whats wrong?I explained that someone had looked at my car, and we had determined that this was the replacement I needed. The man shot back, What did the guy do, bang on the car with a hammer until it started? Im honestly not sure how I responded to him then because I was so shocked at how rude he had just been to me.I think the man was trying to say that he wasnt comfortable pricing that part without making his own diagnosis of the problem. But instead of just explaining that to me, he attacked me over the phone.I am still shocked by how rude he was. I believe there is always a kind way to say something, even if its not what the other person wants to hear. At this point, even if Marks could do exactly what I need at the cheapest price, I would not take them my business.
I was in for a pre-sale inspection on used Ford Escape. I was told vehicle had transmission issues and sounded like a wind-up toy. Major work and massive expense. WRONG!!! Had two local ford dealers give passing grade. Even qualified for certification. No issues.
As a single female I have had issues with some local repair shops which includes Mark’s. Went there over a year ago with a laundry list that the dealer (a local Nissan dealer) tried to sell me on with an oil change. I was told that yes everything needed to be done. I could only afford to do one at a time, so I asked what was most urgent. Honestly I had a feeling afterwards that I was duped. I had always used another shop in town but would go to the dealer when they had “specials”. A friend (who is male) recommended Mark’s which is why I went there. Anyway I decided to go back to my regular shop on Route 571 to have the brakes done (on the list). They wanted to know why I thought I needed brakes! Over a year later I still don’t need brakes or anything else that remained on the list.
Super convenient with courtesy shuttle. Very fair, tells you like it is and very fair with pricing. Great bunch of people.
Been here quite a few times, always had good experiences.
They ripped me off - $200 just to put one doors window back on the track (a job that should cost $100 tops). I talked to the service manager about it and he wouldnt be reasonable. Im never going back again. It was nice that they offered a shuttle service to drop me off and get me when my car was done, but its inexcusable to charge so much for such a simple thing. Better Business Bureau certified my butt!
Not impressed big rip off. Paid 288 to mount, balance my all season tires and tires 1 pressure sensor and assure me of no air leaks. 2 days later go out to car in my garage and all the air leaked out. Update there was 15 to 20 psi extra in other 3 tires before snow storm. I could have had a blowout from the excess tire pressure and died because of these incompetent scam artists!
We have only had good experiences at Marks Trackside. The repair costs were reasonable and everything is explained well.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. The most expensive oil change I have ever had in the sense that I had to replace my engine because of their poor workmanship. A couple of months after changing oil my oil drain plug fell out while I was driving because they left it loose. The car shut down while I was driving. I buttoned the car up and it drove for about 1000 miles before developing a loud knock from the engine. I took it back to Marks for them to take a look at only to have them deny responsibility and practically blame me for their mistake. I will never step foot back in this place again and you shouldnt either.
Marks left the oil cap off after an oil change.Oil spewed out everywhere and luckily we caught the problem the same day or the engine would have seized. Not happy with their compensation... the manager talked down to me like I was an idiot and didnt give me much chance to talk. They partially cleaned up the mess in the engine compartment, fixed a flat tire we saw due to a ran over screw and gave me a stamp towards a free oil change. Didnt even get compensated for having to buy oil to fill it back up. Im really not satisfied with the treatment or compensation for my time spent and their mistake. This could have been much more costly on their end if I hadnt smelled the oil burning inside the engine compartment and investigated. If I could leave zero stars, I would.
Ive been coming here since Ive owned a car. Its nice to have a local place you can trust.
AVOID this place!! Car rear signal lights didnt work (turn signal went double speed) & panel brake indicator was on. Drove in for repair. Was told 2 days & $110 later that “extensive testing was done & car was test-driven all around town bla-bla-bla..” Diagnosis was “serious”: Electronic Module was dead - discontinued so could not be fixed. Went home and friend replaced turn-signal light bulbs for $5.60. This Auto Centre is either incompetent or a rip-off. DON’T go there!
Poor quality work, pretended not to find reported problems other mechanics had no trouble finding, had to bring car back several times for one issue before fixing it myself at a portion of what had already been spent. Avoid.
Ive been taking our cars to Marks Trackside for nearly fifteen years, and the customer service is always courteous and the repairs reasonably priced. My cars have always been maintained well, thanks to the folks who work here.
Good, fast service. And a ride to the train station or home plus pick up.
Friendly and honest mechanics.
Stopped in for some pictures that my insurance company required in NJ for me to have on my policy, staff was professional and it took No more than 20 mins for 2 vehicles! Photos for Insurance are done between 1300-1600.
Always please with the service.
Very kind
Well
