Terrible customer service. When it came to glasses purchase I sat unattended for a while without explanation. When someone finally helped they hurriedly checked me out as if I were a bother with barely any eye contact. The Doctor was rude with poor bedside manner and had the audacity to snap at my kid who was simply playing on my phone. Furthermore, the guy who helped me was dressed like he just rolled out of bed and was lounging at home. Surprisingly terrible experience!

My husband and I both went today and they refused to give my husband his contact lens prescription. They stated he needed to return for TWO additional appointments to get the prescription- not even the lenses - just the the prescription. We were not told in advanced. We paid for a contact lens fitting and when we got home found we didn’t have his contact lens information. I called and they said to come in to pick it up. We came back to get it and were told “the doctor doesn’t write a prescription at the appointment until you take a class” so he has to come back NEXT week and then COME BACK AGAIN IN ANOTHER WEEK to get the actual prescription after that. We will not be back.

Made an appointment for my soon to be 2 year old, took the bus all the way there and when I walked in for his appointment they told me they dont take kids under 6. Now, days before this appointment I filled out paperwork they sent me where they asked for name and birthdate for whomever the appointment was for. No one called me after seeing this filled out paperwork to tell me they dont take kids under 2. I wasnt taking him for an eye exam, I was taking him to get his eye looked at cuz I thought he might have scratched it. So again I go all the way there from Trenton to be told that they cant take him because hes under 6 years old, it would have been nice if somebody would have told me this beforehand!

Staff is not friendly and this location is not organized. This is my second time ordering glasses from VW, there won’t be a third.After writing the above review two weeks ago, I returned to the store to find out why it has been over a month and I still don’t have my glasses. Manager informed the sales rep should have followed up on my order to see what was going on and she didn’t. I cancelled my order and left.

Customer service is terrible, takes on average 20-30 minutes just to speak to someone at the store because you have to go through generic customer service first and then they call the store, usually no one answers at the store. I got a prescription for glasses, they never gave me the actual script but rather just a print out which I could not use anywhere else to fill the prescription, this was after I asked for an actual script and they said I don’t need one. Never using them again or any other of their store locations

I was very pleased with my recent purchase. Staff was polite, friendly, professional, efficient and diverse! Yes, it matters to me that business practices allow for equal opportunity. I also really appreciated the cleanliness and store entry regimen given we are living in the age of Covid. The young folks out front are doing a great job! I had seen a doctor elsewhere and had arrived with my own prescription. My review is based on my eyeglass purchase. I did not need to see the optician.

This place is the definition of ghetto. They don’t answer the phone, staff is rude, doctor leaves during appointment times and the answering services know absolutely nothing but how to schedule an appointment. Don’t waste your time or money.

I normally do not write reviews unless they are really bad or really good. My daughter has high myopia, and we ran out of her soft daily lenses, and urgently needed a two-day supply before we got her online order. My wife stopped by a known optical store in Market Fair mall at Princeton, but they turned down her request saying that since my daughter did not have her eye examination done by them, they could not provide her lenses, which was disappointing. My wife then stopped by Visionworks, and asked the gentleman at the reception if the lenses were available, and if they could provide a two-day supply. The gentleman was very kind and helpful, and gave a 5-day supply of lenses. When my wife offered to pay for the lenses, he kindly declined. We were really touched by the kindness of the gentleman at Visionworks, and thought that a good review is the least that we could do to acknowledge that. Thank you Visionworks!

I love Dr. Patel and we generally have a good experience once we get to this location but it is extremely difficult to get anyone on the phone. Some days I call all day and no one answers. Today, I had to call 5 times before someone answered the phone.

We placed an order for eyeglasses 3wks ago. After 2wks we were notified that the glasses were ready but when we went to pick them up nobody could trace the glasses. Left several messages for Jason but no response. The lady I spoke to, Victoria, was extremely rude! 4 days and several phone calls but nobody wants to give us a call back on the status of the glasses!!

I ordered glasses two weeks ago and never received any updates of status of order. I contacted the store Friday night and was told my glasses were ready. I drove to the store today (30 min ride) to pick my glasses and was told they could not be found. I was told since they were busy they would have to check for them and I would receive a call back in 1 hour. Three hours later I called the store asked for the person who I spoke to earlier and told he was busy. Store left me on hold so long call finally went to voicemail. I paid in full and now it seems my business and fact i have no glasses is not a problem. Not sure if this is just location issue or how this company operates in general. Think twice about choosing this place to purchase glasses from!

Had a 420 pm appointment on Saturday When I reached there at 4pm the store was closed. I called up in store, a staff member came out and said they sent me appointment cancellation which I never received. The staff member was very rude and unprofessional.

Staff was super friendly and nice! My eyes are pretty sensitive, so I kept blinking as they were taking photos, but the nurse was super nice and patient about it! The doctor really knew what she was talking about and answered all of my questions. She even fixed a prescription that has been giving me a headache for years! Really enjoyed my experience there. :)

Reviewing the comments from a month ago. Customer CP wrote pretty much how I felt about the customer service at the Visionsworks in the Nassau Park Pavillion in Princeton, NJ. Not much has changed. It took several minutes for anyone to look up, and greet me when I walked in. It was very awkward just standing there waiting to be acknowledged. When I was finally acknowledged, I wasnt sure if the woman was speaking to me or not, because she didnt bother to lift her head or make eye contact with me. She continued doing whatever it was, she was doing. Once I was finally acknowledged, and looked at, I had to ask her to repeat herselft several times. The combination of the mask didnt help the fact that she want interested in speaking clearly, or loud enough. I didnt feel as though she was interested in helping me. The two stars that I gave is because I like the doctors at this location. The in store staff needs customer service training. It really isnt that difficult to be pleasant.

Terrible customer service. Went in on a weekday around 3pm. Greeted with sign that said no walk-ins (covid) and confused bc we were picking out glasses. I guess they meant no walk-in eye exam appts.Once we were in, very lackluster greeting. Front desk young lady took forever to look up something I wasn’t even sure what she was looking up, the prescription or my health benefits or both? She never communicated that she found what she was looking for.Not directed well or courteously about what steps needed to be taken, who would be helping us. No one of the 3 ppl working was proactive or friendly.Phone service just as bad. I was literally put on hold 3x while trying to make a simple appt.I would not choose to come here. Forced to bc this is where my insurance covers.Bumped from one star to two bc after we finally sat down, we did accomplish what we needed to, to order contacts and glasses. But it was slow and poor customer service. Staff had bad attitude and seemed poorly trained. Business owners are more at fault than employees I would say.Please improve your customer service. Ppl need and deserve good eye care where their insurance is accepted.

I had a great experience at Visionworks for my annual eye exam. I was greeted by Gina and her associate. Doctor Julia Cooper was prompt and she was quick with the exam. She answered every question I had thoroughly and she made me feel comfortable throughout the experience. I enjoyed picking out the perfect pair of glasses with Gina. She was very helpful and made my overall experience excellent. I’m excited to receive my glasses and I look forward to seeing Gina and Dr. Cooper soon!

Excellent service, pleasant and efficient staff, good service and generally great pricing. Note: they will match the price of contact lenses with other stores. If youre aware of a better price than they quote you at first, bring proof and they will match the lower price. All around positive experience - and its nice to know that they are one of the few eyeglass stores that are NOT part of Luxotica, the megalith company that owns most of this industry. Nice to see them doing well while competing with a giant monopoly.

Wow! I was so happy with Visionworks that I am telling everyone I know about them! We had a minor issue with our glasses, and they handled it so professionally and took care of us right away. The staff is extremely friendly. The eye doctor found a potential problem with my daughters eyes and referred us to a specialist. It was overall a great experience. I will be going here from now on for all of my vision needs.

3 stars because my daughter broke her glasses and it takes about 2 weeks to receive another pair.She just started kindergarten and complains of not being able to see... so for her first 2 weeks of school my daughter will not be able to cooperate as much in her virtual classes.

I just bought my first set of glasses from Visionworks, having previously purchased several sets from a local competitor. The employee (Gina) who assisted me was unbelievably helpful. I did not have a long time to shop or make a decision. I told her what I was looking for and she brought over a selection of frames that fit my specifications. The selection was excellent. She gave me her honest opinion on how they looked and made purchasing glasses easier than it ever has been. The price could not be beat, and she presented me with various “extras” that I could purchase, but I did not feel any pressure to spend more. Another employee assisted at the end of the sale (Allen) and he was also able to answer any additional questions I had. They completed the entire sale and ordered my glasses during my lunch hour. And they arranged for me to receive a text and a phone call from an actual person when the glasses arrived, unlike my precious purchase from another chain, where the glasses sat for two weeks after arriving at the store because they use an automated system to notify you if the glasses are ready for pickup and if your voicemail picks up the system disconnects and you are not aware that they are ready. This is absolutely my new go to for glasses and I will be bringing the rest of my family here in the future when the time arrives for them to purchase new glasses.

I understand what they were busy but again if the lady who checked us in was pleasant I wouldnt have mind as much. She was also very rude when answering the phone. They have a very good selection and the staff was extremely helpful, courteous, and eager to make everything right. When you go in, ask for Eric, he was great to work with, has delivered extreme customer service, helpful, very pleasant and is knowledgeable. Dr Patel provided great care. Also they have quick service in delivering, i got my glasses 10 days earlier than expected. I will strongly recommend this place.

Both the doctor I saw and Gina were absolutely amazing. Gina helped me save so much money (over $100) on my contacts and glasses and she is so nice! I want to come back every day just to hang out with her. The doctor was also nice and had me in and out in about 10 minutes, with a much better prescription. I’m always nervous coming to new optometrists just because it’s in my nature but they made me feel right at home. Will recommend to everyone I know!

I just had my first eye exam and glasses fitting with Vision Works in Princeton and I am 110% satisfied! The services were quick, little to no waiting at all and the staff was laughing and friendly since I walked through their door. The woman in the front of the office helped me pick out glasses and tried finding ones in my price range also, which I very much appreciated! I am super happy I chose them to go to and I will most certainly be back, as well as recommending to family and friends!

I came to the store in West Windsor, I walked in with my 2  sons there was no greeting as we came into the store. There was a couple looking at frames and the lady who worked there just sat in her chair playing on her phone and picking her nails.She didnt even ask if we needed help, we looked around found a pair of frames for my son, I stood in front of the front desk and she didnt even bother to ask if we needed help. I also wanted to order contacts for my other 2 boys but we decided to just walk out. This is not the first time this happens at this store the customer services is horrible.I dont understand how can a person that works there wont even acknowledge a customer. You lost me as a customer we are 5 people in our family who need glasses/contacts. the store had 1 customer and she didnt care that we needed assistance

Recently we returned to Vision Works to purchase additional glasses at their Friends & Family Promotional Event and once again we received Outstanding service from Alan and Jason and the entire team who were working on the weekend.Outstanding professional service and staff. Everyone from Kassandra and Alan to Dr. Chang and Dr. Patel provided the best care for everyone in our family. Kassandra connects extremely well with kids of all different kinds of temperament and development and gets you through the vision test smoothly and quickly.

I should have done better homework on this place. I thought I was actually going to a doctors office, not an eyeglass store. I was welcomed not by a nurse or doctor but a sales person trying to sell me like I just had an oil change. On top of that I needed a real eye exam as I am a type 2 diabetic. They new this when I made the appointment but did not tell e they only provide basic eye exams. Basically if you need glasses you are good to go. With that being said if you need glasses I guess the place would be fine but if you need a medical eye exam I was stay far away.

Got an appointment for my Husband and I. Appointments are hard to come by here at this location. Once we got there had to wait 30 minutes before even being seen. My Husband was seen first then myself. Glasses took a week to arrive. When we went to pick up our glasses my husbands script was wrong...smh. Called back a week later (now over 2 weeks waiting for his glasses) and the manager will remain nameless said it was a miscommunication. I said to the Manager no its a mistake on your staffs part. After our 15 minute conversation, the manager FINALLY admitted that his team member made a mistake and put the script in wrong in the lenses that was sent out. Its now almost 1 month and my husband still has no glasses. Trust me, once he gets his glasses we wont be going back to this location again.

We had a Great experience with Gina G ! Upon entrance we were greeted kindly and were asked what our needs were. My Daughter had broken the arm off her glasses. I was exhausted and stressed and did not have a dollar in my pocket to buy new frames. Gina worked tirelessly to find an arm that would work and She did an hour and a half later!!! Worst customer service. We were there for more than an hour but no one to attend us. I asked 4 times but only standard reply “few mins mam” . One customer service lady was discussing her kids with other customer instead of being considerate for others who are waiting. I did one star because this the lowest rate, This rating because of GINA, She is the worst customer service I never had in my life in every retail stores. She is very rude because I refused to accept the quality of my 2 pairs of glasses, She started to be angry & very loud voice in the store when I asked for my money back. Asked her how long to cancel the insurance payment so I can go to other store to get better quality, Her answer was very ignorant I DO NOT KNOW. Inspite of, her coworker Erik handled very professional way calling the insurance right away. I ask who is responsible for this store to look at the camera tape to see how she disrespected and mistreats me & my wife . She let one lady she knows her keep cursing us, she even not trying to stop her. I am a loyal customer me & While family for vision work since it called eye doctor more the 29 years. Not only did I receive a terrible quality product, but the customer service was absolutely atrocious. From racial slurs to denial of service and a violation of HIPPA privacy rights, Gina Giordano was the most unprofessional, unqualified, and unpleasant employee I have ever dealt with. I would rather pay more for glasses than deal with this employee or this company. I would give 0 stars if I could. Something must be done with this employee and this branch.

I took appointment for eye exam, encountered Very bad experience. The women(I don’t know the name) who asked my insurance is very impatient and rude. I told her my first name and last name which my insurance card has and also told my insurance policy number. She is unable to pull my insurance information and left the desk multiple times in the middle which I felt very disrespect attitude. I will not go to this place next time.

Do not recommend this place. The doctor was very helpful and friendly but the staffs working in the store were very unprofessional and even unfriendly. One guy made a scratch to one glass while he was adjusting. I found soon that the string popped out and it was not really ready for pick-up. I had to leave my glasses for 2 days (weekend) to have it fixed. I was thinking they would replace the glass but they did not. Its not really noticeable and I just took it and left the store since I did not want to waste my time arguing with people with no professional mind. My family will not go there again!

At first I was in impression that they are helping me. They just want to do business and make customer fools.When I went for return Allen didnt let me return saying we will do the best and help you with new prescription. Then I found out they didnt added the progressive. And now mentioning it would have cost extra. They did not bother to tell me that the progressive is not added. I have to get doctors appointment to checkup my glasses and found out that didnt add the progressive. Now they mention that I did told about progressive and its extra charges.Be aware of Allan, he is the one who will fool you with words and now not even refunding my charges. I wish I would not fallen into his words and have returned my glasses when I went second time.Please do not do not even go to Princeton Vision Works.

I went into Visionworks in princeton because my Glasses had Broken! Like The ARM was twisted UP - someone Sat on my frame & I thought I was DONE!I walked in and Alan said Let me get my Expert & then this Woman comes over - she was working on projects had a bunch of trays & papers in front of her - well she immediately jumped up to help me!I told her I got them from another place she immediately said - Not to worry & she would try her very best to be careful & said No worries I’ve got 20 years since 1998 in the field - I hope I can make you Happy you came in!Well, not too bad on the Eyes first of all...But, not that it matters - But her Knowledge SHOWS..She was so careful & took her time and FIXXXXED THEM!! Right before my eyes! Alan was trying to get my info & insurance because he WAS SURE they wouldn’t survive the break & she NAILED IT!But because I know they are on their way out - I had KASSANDRA keep on working with me and get the insurance pulled & ordered my new ones & she told me about their program where if you use your Vision plan the extra PAIRS are 50% off their normal prices, so I got my clear pair under insurance & 1/2 off my computer pair & 1/2 off Sunglasses and those were RAYBANS! So I am GLAD My Glasses broke & I walked in when Kassandra was there - she had explained everything in full!Now I own 2 Businesses for 25 years now (was my Fathers before me) & I know a hard working person with a skill set when I see one! Time for her to get out on the ROAD to train other folks HOW TO repair & handle all clients the way she did! NO DRAMA - Fully explaining her processes AND execution of the entire things with efficiency! Dont go there! Dad went for an routine eye exam came back with infection (pink eye) for 10 days. The nurse picks up stuff from the floor and puts on Dads eye right away. The manager is very rude. The African American doctor is very friendly though.
