Honestly i have zero complaints for pep boys they are very nice and respectful to their customers and they get the job done no matter what it is. Gabriel helped me while i was there and took very good care of my moms car. He was kind and very respectful the entire time. Good customer service

Wouldnt come here again. Had an oil change and tire rotation appointment and they tried to charge me for a tire rotation they didnt do.I could have considered it an honest mistake but the mechanic was rude about it when he was bringing the car back into the shop- as if I was being unreasonable asking to have work done that I had paid him for. If it was a mistake youd expect a simple sorry, Ill get that doneHonestly cant recommend a place that I cant trust to do work that Im paying for. To be completely honest Im going to get my oil changed again soon because I dont even trust that theres fully synthetic in it. Cant trust- wont go again.

The staff was really friendly & helpful! When I came in for my prescheduled appointment for tire change Gabriel at the front desk was very welcoming. I left my keys and was able to go about my day stress free. I felt very comfortable around them and leaving them with my car. I felt I was save and so was my car. I will come back again and I definitely recommend. I can’t not forget the 2 others guys that was really helpful as well. Loved the Jamaica guy he is very funny and professional. My oil light had come on recently... not that long after having an oil change at a place that left me feeling a little unsure. I wasnt overly concerned and originally planned to just check it myself and add some oil. Then right before I headed out, I noticed that one of my tires looked low, too. It was hot, it was a Sunday, and I had to drive to Boston the next day to pick up a friend at the airport and then head to the Cape. Im relatively new to the area and decided that rather than try to find a service station where I could check my air AND buy oil, Id go to an Autozone or similar. Pep Boys was showing as open and so I headed over.Turned out that on Sunday, the retail part of the store was closed. But the service part was open. I asked if they could top off my oil and check the air, and the said they really couldnt do that--they did oil changes but didnt sell oil separately. At that point I said, fine... just change the oil. Given the fact that I wasnt completely sure that the last place had done it right, I was willing to pay the money.10 minutes later, the guy (Im SO sorry I dont remember names!) came to me and told me it was all good, and that I DIDNT need an oil change. That the oil was full and clean, and the light only came on because the last place hadnt reset it. They topped off my fluids and checked my tires and sent me on my way.He could have lied. Many places would. Instead, he was honest. Didnt charge me a thing. He could have assumed Im some clueless woman and taken advantage of me. The three guys working were good natured and I appreciated that they did right by me. Ill definitely be back. Thanks!

Had 4 tires installed on my smart car. Two were delayed (I ordered them through tirebuyer) and Gabriel told me how to get replacements and then fit me in for an appointment as soon as they arrive. Excellent service.

On 8-22-21, I visited 1246 N. Main St. Pep Boys for my 9am appointment to have a bulb replaced. Being a single female, I am timid when visiting auto parts stores for parts and services. Customer service was a 10 out of 10. I am the type of person who will drive an extra 20-30 minutes based on location with the best customer service. The technician was very patient, knowledgeable, and quickly performed the service on my jeep in less than 10 minutes. The technician made no effort to price gauge or upsell me – the cost was much less than I expected to pay. I will return to this location and recommend them to everyone. Thank you so much.

I’m so thankful with the manager of this store we walk in, my wife and I, we didn’t know that they were about to close we asked for a set of tires, the lady in the front desk told us they were closing and they would not be able to do the job but the manager walked by and he said let see if we have the tires you need and put them on. It was very nice of him and his assistant do that for us, I definitely recommend this place to do your shopping I’m pretty sure they will take good care of you as well they did with us.

Amazing service! After needing tires for some time, I finally got 4 new tires on my Jeep. Sergio not only expertly guided me through the process of selecting tires but I also bought a road hazard package as he explained the advantage of having this coverage. He took the time to explain and offered the best price possible. He was incredibly knowledgeable about his products and services and is clearly an excellent manager. I know my car was handled professionally and timely. I could not have asked for a better experience. He and his team will be the only people I trust with my Jeep! Very helpful staff was able to get in quickly and had my tires replaced while I waited. Technicians had the tires replaced and wheels aligned within 2 hours and the car drives great. Not only that the office manager was able to price match my tires and helped me find all the possible promotions and coupons saving my precious stimulus. If I could give no stars I would. Honestly I am very disappointed, about a month ago I went in with the concern that my wheel was pulling towards the left and I was told I needed an alignment. I got it and they told me if the same thing continued to bring it in for a wheel balance. Brought it in for a wheel balance on 7/10/21, when I left the steering wheel was even worse then when I came in. I called as soon as I left and they had me come back today, they “aligned it and balanced it” against but now it’s even worse. The steering wheel is not straight and pulls towards the left and it shakes when I’m going 45mph+. Honestly this is very upsetting because I’ve been here 3 times now and my car is worse every single time. Not only do I have to wait 2 1/2 hours + every single time but they always mess the car up. Honestly I will never come here again. It’s a complete waste of time and they don’t even do a good job.

Great neighborhood place and customer service!!! The business was just closing but yet still accepted me as a customer and replaced my flat tire on a late Sunday afternoon. Thankful to Gabriel and Gershman!! Would most certainly come again.

I’ve been taking both my cars here for a while now for general maintenance (oil change, new tires, alignment, etc.) and they always do a great job! They’re always friendly and regularly have good deals. Parts has always had what I need for DIY jobs too.

Dropped off a set of tires to be changed on a busy Saturday. There was some miscommunication on what needed to be done but the folks working there really went the extra mile to make sure I was taken care of. Top notch customer service! I have high standards, but they lived up to every one!

Stood in line for 15 minutes once it was my turn to cgeck out the lady behind the counter let her friend that literally just walked in jump the line to take care of her not the three others whos been patient the whole time while shes been talking to other workers around her while they also do nothing as well. I love my cars (Honda’s) lol. Always have had them and always will, atleast one. I’ve always done all the service on my cars but I had surgery a week ago so I can’t lol. I Called Valvoline, Jiffy Lube, Monroe, Honda, Firestone, NTB and the lowest price I got for a tire rotation and an oil change (I already had 5 quarts and an oil filter) was 50$. Tire rotations were around 29$ and the oil changes would be the rest of the total amount from them which was around 50. The premium oil change anywhere is around 80$ with a tire rotation included. I bought full synthetic motor oil and filter from Walmart for a total of 28$. I Called PepBoys in Providence and they told me that for them to do the oil change and filter, PLUS the tire rotation was 25$...ummm ok I’ll see you in 30 minutes 😂😂. That easy? Seriously? After all those high priced estimates from all the name brand places!? PepBoys is name brand. Why is it only 25$. There and not anywhere else!? Some of the other Shops I called wouldn’t even use my oil I bought, I had to use there oil and filter like NTB and Valvoline and BALISE Honda. Which I understand, I know Honda doesn’t do it cause they had some guy bring in the wrong oil and it was installed at Honda. So Honda ended up being responsible, so some places have a product they verify is for your vehicle so those mistakes aren’t made. Which isn’t terrible it just gets more expensive sometimes. I like Castrol GTX. I’ve ran it in every car I’ve owned and I’ve driven a lot of those cars hard (spiritedly). I’ve used other oils I just prefer it is all. But I didn’t end up having to get the tires rotated cause the tread was still high, and that the outside of the front tires were wearing uneven. I noticed this before, just nice that the mechanic also caught it. It did take an hour and 40 minutes, but they did only have 2 mechanics working in the bay the entire time I was there. I think it could run more efficiently and definitely be more productive if they ran specials and partnered up with a shopping center like NTB did with Shaw’s. NTB prints there specials on the back of The Shaw’s receipts... THATS GENIUS! I got my CX5’s oil changed there cause of the coupon on the back of the receipt. But overall I liked the experience at PepBoys. It did take almost 2 hours. But it was only 23$ and I got a bottle of water lol.I definitely recommend them and I’ll go there again if I have too.

I’ve been having such a long and rough week and of course I get a nail in my tire! But what could’ve been an exhausting experience, actually turned out smooth and fast. I want to thank chris and gabriel for 1) not judging me for not know much about my car AND taking the time to teach me a few things about my tire and vehicle 2) making me feel comfortable 3)going above and beyond and finding a discount that suited my needs. I will definitely be back and feel confident enough to make this my pep boy location of choice (even though it’s 45mins away!)

Its a chain business with things you may need for slightly more than youd find them online.

Where to begin, I walked in needing a tire rotation and speed balance and I walked out the same way I walked in. Nothing was done went back a second time and they still didnt do anything. they claimed that they fixed it. After the confronting the manager and employees I was harassed and verbally abused. I will be pressing charges finding a good lawyer now!

I visited 09/17/2020. I do not even write reviews but the older man at the counter was very rude. As I was trying to explain to him he proceeded to cut me off and tell me that “I don’t listen”. Absolutely disgraceful. This place needs to learn what hospitality is and brush up on their morals and values.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. they will basically rob you, it is SO expensive to get your car fixed here. Got charged an arm and a leg ($1000+) for maintenance to fix the car, then as soon as we left the shop the check engine light turned on again — store said it was not their problem and would charge us AGAIN to look at + fix the problem. Seriously, do not go here to fix your car it is the worst and most unhelpful auto body shop I’ve ever used

At first they were very nice I ordered tires on a Thursday they told me they would be there on a Saturday I call on Saturday they put me on hold for 20 minutes and then hang up I called back spoke to someone they wont look for the tires unfortunately the tires were not there they guaranteed me that they would be there on that following Monday called on Monday nope still no tires so I will never do business with them again . And I spoke to the manager Russell the conversation ended with him telling me well it is what it is not professional .

So Murphys Law has been my passenger as of late, and Rebecca at Pep Boys North Main in Providence was exceptional. I am often intimidated in auto repair situations and she made me feel greatly at ease. She was friendly, very understanding and most importantly incredibly patient with a customer who was obviously distressed. This is customer service done right, Id give 20 stars if I could and thank you again.

I had the two tires on the right side with nails in it which they “replaced”. When they replaced them, they put the new tires in the front and old tires in the back. 2 days later my rear end tire ( same side that had a nail in it) pops. Come to find out it had a nail in the tire in the same exact place as the first time. I believe this wasn’t a coincidence and they never replaced my tire. Don’t waste your money coming here...

I wish I had read these reviews a long time ago. My daughter started bringing her car here because it was convenient. 18 months ago they replaced all the brakes, rotors etc. We brought it in last month for inspection sticker. They said it wouldn’t pass without replacing a control arm $700. We went to pick it up. There was a guy in the parking lot talking to someone about their car. He was smoking a cigarette. I went in. There was a guy at the counter who appeared to have special needs and he said I had to wait for the other guy. For 10 minutes I stood at the counter listening to the phone ring off the hook and to some other guy behind the wall on the phone taking to a friend and swearing away. Finally the guy from outside came in. Said nothing, stood in front of me on the other side of the counter and answered the phone. Another person had walked on and was also waiting to pick up a car. Instead of putting the call on hold, the guy went online and started to sell the guys tires!!!! I had steam coming out of my ears! I said I can’t believe you’re doing this. Put the guy on hold and get me the car! He ignored me finished the call and then looked at me and said “name?” I was so angry but also so late. I paid for the car and left. Now we are having trouble with the car. The dealer says we need new front brakes because the rotors wore unevenly and a new control arm! Keep as far away from Pep Boys as you can. And always check reviews.

I called the day before to make an appointment they said they had the parts in stock and could install a hitch in an hour. I got there they said that they cant find the part and it will take 2 weeks to get it. They werent sure they could do the installation then but would let me know when the part came in. They were completely unorganized and impossible to work with

After me standing on line for like 10min the guy on the service table was rude and didn’t help me at all I told him I had questions about buying new rims he literally say we don’t do that anymore and be careful with the website what type of business is this? first time here and will never come back! I had a leak in one of my tires and took my car to Pep Boys to get it fixed. I told them which tire had the leak and that I had filled it the three previous mornings (I was on vacation in VT). After about five hours I was told my tires were fine. After repeating that I actually had to add air tge tgree previous mornings I was told my dashboard sensor was malfunctioning. The same person told me they had submerged my tire for a half hour (nonsense) and they saw no sign of a leak. They charged me $28.28 and sent me on ny way. New England Tire in Seekonk, MA fixed the leak and changed my oil in less than an hour. You know where Ill go next time I need tires.
