Best coffee I have had in providence. It’s a cute place with an outside window and your typical espresso drinks and teas. I got the tuxedo latte and it was super creamy and well balanced not overly sweet like other coffee shops.

This place is pretty bomb and clear why it has built such a good reputation. Not only do they sell excellent coffee and hot chocolate, but they partnered with local bakery silver star and local donut shop Kneads to provide some delicious goodies. Keep up the awesome work!

Best cafe in Rhode island ❤️ everything is delicious and excellent quality. Coffee is always freshly ground and made, and their hot chocolate with oat milk and chocolate whipped cream is the best thing ever. Even during these hard times they still give you quality products and service. Also their rewards system is great, make sure to give them your email to get some extra rewards! The coffee exchange has been a fixture on Wickenden Street for over 30 years. You can shop organic fair-trade coffee and have it roasted right on the premises. They also serve cold filtered coffee and a variety of fresh-brewed coffee both iced and hot. The coffee exchange is a favorite amongst the college crowd from Brown University and Rhode Island School of Design. There are about 20 tables typically used by students using free Wi-Fi. This is the real deal.

One of the major caffeine hangout capitals of the Fox Point neighborhood. Mainly indoor, with some minimal outdoor seating. Prepare to hear and feel a lot of buzzy laptops humming in unison inside. Coffee Exchange is a true neighborhood watering hole. No matter what time of day or night you come here it is packed with students, artists, ex professors, and neighbors that have lived there for 20 years. If youre coming here for the first time I highly recommend buying a pound of beans- they roast them in house and each pound comes with a free cup of coffee. Because its so popular on the weekends, they have limited hours for their wifi Saturday & Sunday so that seats rotate fairly and more people can stay for food. If youre hungry for something savory theres not much for you to order but their Portuguese baked goods are exceptional (Id try the popover). They also have a small deck that opens up in warm weather which is great with an iced coffee and a good book. If you cant find parking on Wickenden st there is a free lot right behind it which always has space unless the nearby church is having mass.

The Coffee Exchange is a wonderful coffee standby in Providence. AKA the OG of the PVD coffee scene. They’ve been roasting their own beans and brewing quality coffee for over 20 years now and they know what they’re doing. The baristas know what they’re doing and are happy to answer any questions you have about the menu. Only con here is that they get busy and with limited seating it can get cramped on the weekend. The speciality drink to order here is the Undertow (unsweetened)—it’s a rich, bold shot of espresso poured over a glass of cold milk. (Think cortado proportions in terms of espresso to milk distribution.) You might get so lost in thought at how great it is that you get swept out to sea! :P

The coffee was excellent and so were the couple of pastries we tried, but Id really like it if they served the customers eating/drinking in their nice setting in ceramic dishware instead of single-use plastic and treated non-recyclable cardboard. It surely couldnt be that hard to implement and would fit better with the ethos that otherwise seems present in their coffee sourcing.

I went here on a friday afternoon to study with a friend. It is a cute little coffee shop in a busy area of sf. The environment is very good to study or do work in. The place is also uniquely decorated. The baristas were very friendly too. I just ordered a hot tea and was expecting to be able to buy a pastry to go with it but they didnt have any at the time. Plenty of parking around the area, both a mix of 2 hour parking and non-time-limited parking. It wasnt too bad coming on a wednesday morning. The area is really great and safe as well. As for the store location, it was very simplistic, modern, and coffee-shop-esc!. There are several locations for bar-window-type seating and a few tables as well - perfect for sitting with a friend over coffee or busting out your lap tops to get some work done. There are power strips placed along the wall. I dont believe there is air conditioning either, or they didnt turn it on while I was there, so if it was a toasty day, make sure to grab your iced coffee!

I love trying new coffee shops. Snowbird is kind of an old, new coffee shop for me. Located in the old Dripd Coffee Lab space a couple of years ago, the front of the house received a new facelift, while theyre still making soap in the back. The wooden counter gives it a very Californian feel, while the rest of the seating is reminiscent of some of the hipster cafes Ive come across in Brooklyn. When I used to live in the Northeast, snowbirds, were people who flocked south, mainly to Florida, in seek of warmer weather when winter came. Having grown up in the Sunset, there are snowbirds year round in these parts in seek of warmer refuge. Enter this coffee shop.

We were waiting for the traffic to die down before we headed home after a day long visit to the Golden Gate park . It was too cold for ice cream so we decided to look for a place for a coffee and pastry. I guess it had been a busy day because they had nothing left in the case or cloches to eat but there were a few seats available so we decided on coffee. My sister in law wandered away while we ordered, I just had coffee, also ordered were a mocha and tea. Considering everyone else in the place already was drinking, it took a long time to get our order. The mocha was fine nothing special but not bad the tea was well boiled water and my coffee was barely hot, my sister in law soon apeared with delicious doughnuts from somewhere up the street which saved the day . Ill comeback next time in town and try again. The people were nice, the restroom was clean and it was warm inside .

Lovely place, but they *really* like making their roasts dark to the point of being nearly burnt. Try ordering their single origin espresso instead of their regular espresso which is imo too bitter. As far as their whole beans for sale, its hit or miss some beans are good, but some have similar problems with being over-roasted. That said, it is awesome to have a large selection of fresh roasted beans on offer!!
