Very good and friendly service. I had the special grilled cheese. I think my wife had fish and chips, both were very tasty, hot and nicely sized servings. My wifes dinner was on the senior menu but mine was not. The senior menu included a small sundae at a reduced price. Although my meal didnt include the small sundae at a reduced price, but the server offered me the same deal that my wife got. The sundaes were very enjoyable and tasty. Hadnt been at Newport Creamy in a while. We were both very pleased all around. We will be visiting it again. Many more times for a quick and simple meal but very enjoyable experience. Try it, youll like it.

Me and my family were going to go to the Newport Creamery last night, but they were closed when we got there. Before leaving the house, I looked up the hours and saw that they closed at 10. Just to double check that the hours were correct, I tried to call twice, but never got through to anyone. When we arrived at 9:06, they were closed and gave us nasty looks when we looked at the hours on the door. I understand that hours are changing due to COVID, but if they have new hours then it needs to be on google so we aren’t showing up as they close.

Look, Ill be honest ...Expect to be there a while. I have never had a fast meal at a Newport Creamery ...That being said, the food is good.I dig the burgers, the staff are always nice, and the ice cream is spot-on.Youll just be there a while getting it; thats all.

I just came back from having the worse experience of my life with my family . We ordered our food and 3 of my children had to send their plates back because they didnt put lettuce, tomato and mayo on their burgers. Also I ordered fish and chips and the pieces were alot smaller than their supposed to be. The bill came out to $78.51 which I only left a 10% tip which I shouldnt have left anything at all. The young highschool kids that work their were swearing and talking really loud. I wont be going back again.

I sat alone at the counter and no one else there except for two tables...no one said good morning or acknowledged my presence. Finally the manager came over and I thought, finally a cup of coffee maybe? Nope! Name and phone number for covid... eventually I got a menu and one of the three waitresses took order, it cost 10 dollars and was not edible. Left it there. No more for this place.

We went today for lunch and we ordered burgers and I had a tuna club, the food was good, nothing special but ok (bacon was over cooked and tuna was bland). We ate and on checkout the girl asked 3 times if we wanted ice cream, and I said no, but decided as we were walking out that I wanted an awful awful for the road, I went over to the counter were they said you have to go outside to order ice cream, so I explained that we just ate and my wife and son were waiting over there for me to return, they said sorry have to go outside we are busy. I went back to our waitress which just received a great tip and told her that I would like an awful awful for me and she wouldn’t assist me. I was disappointed that they treated me this way, we ate lunch there, very poor customer service, if she said that before she took the 8 dollar tip she would have gotten a lot less!!!!!!!!

I havent been out for breakfast in years, I usually eat at home. After eating breakfast I had to go home and eat breakfast. Talk about portion control. For $10 I hardly got any food. But thats the same everywhere lately. The omelets do not even look like three eggs unless the eggs are the size of marbles.

Pretty slow at the ice cream counter

Always a classic. Been coming to NCs for years since I was a kid growing up in Providence. Moved to California the last 12 years and had it for the first time since then on a visit back.This one in Barrington is good and clean, and is still doing great with COVID from what we could see. We went during the lunch rush hour on a rainy day and there were a fair amount of people. They sat us very quickly and there was really no wait. They have a good bathroom too. Awfully good!!

This place literally has the minimal amount of cleanliness necessary to pass off as a restaurant. Pantry moth larva were crawling all over the inside of my awful awful. They must have an infestation. I don’t feel sorry for them, it’s easy enough to clean. Gross seeing worms inside your cup once your almost done with your shake.

Ice Cream Soda is uniquely delightful. This place has the only dairy on the East Coast that could hold a candle to Tillamook (Oregon based ❤). Lovely, convenient, & quick could all be used to describe the Creamerys customer service.

I do enjoy Newport creamery, but this location seems to be taking a turn for the worst. I normally go to the Fall River and Seekonk location and they are so much better. It’s a shame to see what this place has turned into. Hopefully they can fix it sometime soon.

I was never a big fan of their food. I thought it was overpriced and honestly pretty bland. I can deal with that, so is my life. But when i was in the restaurant a few weeks ago, I had the sweetest lady as my waitress. I came back yesterday, just to see her, and they said that she got fired. Now, you can take away my wife, you can take away my kids, but if you fire someone, for giving an attitude to a customer, then I guess none of us should have jobs. Me and my family will NEVER be returning to this local establishment, and we encourage the people of the barrington and the surrounding parts to do the same.

What Rhode Islander didnt grow up going to Newport Creamery with their family? The menu has changed drastically over the past few years. It now includes healthier choices, and their are more options. To me, itll always be the place for seasoned fries, grilled cheese or a club sandwich and amazing ice cream. This place has a great assortment of hard ice cream flavors and has sugar-free and frozen yogurt options. They have big sundaes and a banana split with 10 (?) Scoops for the daring! Children can build their own sundaes. This is always a messy hit. They have a counter to sit at and they have large booths fitting 6+ people. Ive never had trouble with the service. The servers are mostly teens so, tip them well! This is a place you bring your kids then, someday, theyll bring their kids.

Have to say they do keep it clean, the employees on this particular shift were attentive but not overly bothersome. Slow day so staff was at a minimum. No surprise there with this flu scare . The waitress we had must have been new, she was trying her hardest to make sure she had the order right, to her I say, Relax your doing just fine .

First time Ive been here in 10 or more years, it was a nice reminder on how good it is, love their ice cream.

First of all the place was nice and clean. Loved it. The service however,was not the best, staff was just talking together never asked us ( how is everything) and we had to ask for more coffee. Staff was not attentive at all and they were not very busy.

I dont know how they can still do a significant bacon grilled cheese with tomato and spinach and only charge $6. And Emma, my server, was the most polite amazing person Ive encountered in a restaurant in a very long time. Thank you Emma:-)

There was a fire alarm during our visit here for lunch. We were all rushed out of the building so Im happy that we were able to finish our meals, yet disappointed that I didnt get a chance to order an ice cream sundae. Special thanks to our waitress who let us pay while outside waiting for the fire trucks. Excellent service and great food!

Newport Creamery is a decent place with average food but good people. We go there mainly for breakfast because its local, fast, hot, inexpensive, and filling. That being said, the quality of ingredients is average, not bad but not impressive. Basically its an ice cream shop with a diner attached, that de-emphasized their ice cream. IMHO, they are doing too many things to do anything really well. Its decent enough food at a decent price, and you can take the kids.

Imagine fighting your way through winter storm, 100 km on foot. You had to fight your way through a pack of savage penguins and their boss leader, the polar bear, to the bitter end. You open the door after all your struggle into an oasis ice cream, awful awfuls, and traditional American fare. You think you were safe...but in the shadows a monster lurks. You let your guard down, and you order your food happy and content ...but the feeling that something is watching you slowly creeps down your spine. The monster exposes itself as a manager that has an attitude of the most heinous creature in all the land. Your Oasis is ruined... On top of this they have some how figured out how to take flavor out of food and replace it with salt/grease.This was basically my experience with this Newport creamery. The ice cream was good but the manager at this location its probably the worst person in customer service Ive ever experienced in New England... You can tell the staff is unorganized because of her toxic leadership. I strongly recommend restructuring your management group to better facilitate a well running and friendly staff.2 stars for quality ice cream though...

Newport Creamery has been the best place for comfort food. Their ice cream is great with my favorite being the frozen pudding which is a unique ice cream for the New England area. And you can take pints and quarts to go.

Food was good, Our waitress Alexa was excellent.What I liked was that all silverware was under a cot and put away. Not out on top of counter for people to sneeze and cough on. Especially with flu season now. Like the Creamery in Middletown has theres.

The ice cream was crystallized and did not taste good at all. I got the chocolate chip cookie dough and was very disappointed. I used to love Newport Creamery as a kid but now I will looking elsewhere for an ice cream spot.

I wish I could put less than 1 star....Today, (11-13-17) I had ordered a total of 3 Awful Awfuls. All was good an normal until it came time to pay. Naturally, I have them my card and they said cash only because the credit/debit card machine wasnt working. I did not have any cash on me so I had to sit there, with the drinks in the counter melting and becoming warm, until they had fixed the problem.After about 30 minutes we had gotten fed up and several other people had been complaining of this issue as well. The manager finally got pissed off and told us just to take our drink and go. She said, and I quote, just take em and go because we cant fix the machine right now and you dont want to leave to get cash, so just go. She said this while yelling in certain parts and waving her hand inches from my face.Worst experience I have ever had here and I will NEVER return. I have had several bad experiences here in the past but this one was the end of it. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE

My husband and I love this place; its our go to spot when the kids head off to school and we need an hour to relax. Kathy is the best waitress and has memorized our usual . Great atmosphere, not overly crowded, good food. :)

We were kind of let down here. I got a two scoop sunday, but didnt really know they were scoops from a teaspoon. It was a single scoop at best. A junior scoop at worst. We also got a malt that was absurdly small and was more sugary milk than a malt. My ice cream was good tasting, but the malt was 100% the worst we had ever had.The wait staff was nice enough.

God bless this fine establishment. I had the waffle burger melt (I forget the exact variety but it had maple bacon inside) with the Oreo Awful Awful. My goodness, the taste was to die for. Definitely a buy!

I love this Newport Creamery. The people here are really nice and the service is great. It is always clean and it is my favorite of all the Newport Creamery restaurants in Ma or RI. The line for Monday Awful Awfuls is never super long and it has a good street view for people watching. Newport Creamery ice cream is the best.

My sister and I roll our Mom down for lunch here at least once a week. Mom is wheelchair bound with alzheimers. The service is great as well as the food. We especially enjoy the French fries and ice cream. Many people must feel the same as we see the place busy with happy faces.

Very average lunches and dinners. Supremely greasy. I have a friend who used to work here and most food is microwaved or lathered and fried in extreme amounts of oil to cover the unfresh smells. The only reason this isnt a 1 star is because their breakfast is alright, good taste and big portions but also very very greasy. Youre better off driving the extra few minutes to nearby Seekonk and picking from their larger selection of restaurants.

My daughter wanted to go there for her birthday dinner, shes 12, I asked them if the could put a candle on her classic sundae and although they didnt have any candles, the waitress did present quite the sundae dessert, she loved it. I, of course, as I always do had the big beef burger, made the Newport Creamery way, on buttery toast with cheese on it. The fries are the best! Its a great family place for dinner or just dessert. Ive been going there for 40 yrs and I will continue to go. WE LOVE IT!! 🍧🍨🍦

New burger options were very good. Their ice cream is always good. However service was slow and when computer broke down we waited almost a half hour for our credit card to be processed. Never did fix it. We finally convinced them to accept a check so we could finally leave. Not waitresses fault but manager should have at least apologized for the inconvenience.

Great ice cream sundaes and Awful Awful drinks

Stopped for breakfast with family, the food hit the spot, quick and good.

An old fashioned place that goes back to my childhood. It was delicious...and the crayons helped my little sister to be entertained.

We had a party of 5 adults and were seated at a table for 4 to start. We ordered our drinks and waited about 10 minutes placed our order, which was suppose to be 2 bowls and one bread bowl of chowder and 2 garden salads. We received 3 cups of chowder and when we told her it was suppose to be bowls we were told that they were running out of chowder. She then returned saying there was more chowder, and brought 3 bowls, messing up the bread bowl again,which took another half hour to be corrected. Then we waited 40 minutes for our food, we were told it did not make it to the kitchen, when we got our food my wifes chicken pot pie was not cooked and was sent back. My son received his waffle grill cheese about 20 minutes after the other food was served. When leaving I asked if a manager was on duty and was told yes, I never saw a manger on the floor the hole hour and 40 minutes I was there. I called when I left to speak to the manager and was told he was busy and to call back. To spend $70.00 at a restaurant this was by far the worst visit to the Barrington Newport Creamery my family and I have ever had.

This place is a good option to eat something, I have gone to other locations and I liked it, but in this I received a bad service, and I even felt discriminated against by my race! in the USA there is still a lot of racism, especially for blacks and Latino Hispanics!

Always been a family fave! I grew up coming here and I still go with my friends or family. Monday is buy one, get one Awful Awful night. The menu has burgers, clubs, soups, different types of grilled cheeses and quesadillas but we all come for the ice cream! You can get a Belgian waffle with strawberries and ice cream, a Super Chipper which is 2 chocolate chip cookies with any ice cream or yogurt inside. The have sundae sizes right up to 10 scoops! I dare you to try to finish this one!

The food was amazing but the only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is that the service is petty bad almost all the time. But dont make this the reason your not going to go because the food especially the burgers and Aufull Aufulls are awesome!

3rd time they have messed up a simple order..when u order a Turkey club and the toast isnt toasted and theres no mayo looks so nasty ...yup never again will I eat here!!
