I echo the other comments about the stark contrast between store manager, Randi, and the other employees. Randi was dismissive and patently unhelpful. I was struggling to find a mobile code button on my phone, she was visibly exasperated and verbally rude. She made the whole experience very uncomfortable. Not what Id expect from a customer-facing employee, let alone a store manager.Another lovely employee, Jason, helped me navigate to the right spot - respectfully and professionally.Hopefully the owner will take notice of these reviews! The donation to Autism in exchange for tape is strange, but honestly, the manager is the only real complaint I have with the store.
What a great and coherent group of folks work together in this UPS store! No matter how many customers come in at the same time, the employees will guide the crowd and move themselves about like chess pieces until everyone possible is being helped simultaneously. And always the supplies flow plentiful to meet every situation and get the mail and packages out the door lickety split! How wonderful that they’re right around the corner from my new apartment!
Lol ppl are harsh
Ive always found the service to be highly professional. One suggestion would be that the hours are posted in the window. Perhaps I just couldnt see them but it would be of great help.
Don’t pay any attention to previous reviews! They don’t reflect the high quality of this branch at all. Randi was extremely friendly and helpful in helping me solve my mailing and notary needs. This is now my default mailing branch. Highly recommended!
I almost never write reviews but I had the absolute worst experience at this branch because of how terrible I was treated by the older woman who works there (Im assuming shes the manager). The other staffers are polite and friendly but this woman is just mean
I love it when this happens. Rushed into the store, frazzled, overnight was essential and last pickup was ending (I hadnt known). Only one register open, customers taking their time. All of a sudden, this great person, Elizabeth, appears, does my whole transaction in seconds, fielding a phone call and bringing a bandage (I didnt ask for) after I cut my finger. Multi-tasking, smiling the whole time. Also was in several times in the spring, a young guy (a notary) was there, super cool, smart. The manager wasnt masked (at the height of the first outbreak) but the guy was. She wasnt at all into customer service; I was happy they switched registers and he helped me with three or four things.
Nicest people ever great customer service treats people with respect nothing like the experience Ive had at seekonk ups store
My favorite place in Providence to ship packages. I don’t trust the mailing service at the big box office supply store on North Main so this is my go-to shipper. Pro tip: park across the street if space open as backing out of spaces in front of the store can be exciting!
I have never written a review of anything ever - but I was so appalled by the customer service from the **manager** here (not the staff: they were helpful, sweet, patient and I could tell under stress). Had the unfortunate need to go back multiple days in a row and left every time with tears behind my eyes. Calling me “that person” and saying other rude things about me two feet from me as if I weren’t there, ZERO patience/cutting me and her employees off, not actually offering advice so I need to come back with more questions, being rude about my employers, etc. I saw her use the same attitude toward other customers. I wish all the employees here the best, and I hope she’s just a passionate woman having a bad week, but I say this all in hopes that potential customers see this and are saved from having their day ruined.
Tried to charge for one black and white print label 5$ each and seemed unpleasant that I was in the store
The rudest customer service Ive ever received at a UPS. I brought in a package that was already paid for by the company I was sending it back to. The store associate told me that it needed to be taped up and told me I had to buy tape or donate for some tape. I told her that Ive never had to to do that. Ive taken paid packages to UPS stores in Providence and Cumberland and they have NEVER asked me to pay for tape, especially since it was already paid for by the company. The associate immediately gets her manager who rudely repeats the same thing and says that each UPS is independently owned. She said she would do it, but next time wouldnt, and I said there wouldnt be a next time. Ill continue to take my UPS packages to the sites with actual customer service.
Just dropped off 4 boxes with Liz. She was excellent— helpful, polite, friendly and competent. She managed to multitask beautifully, taking a complicated phone call while still getting my packages ready to go very quickly!
Extremely disappointed. The woman was so rude when asked about purchasing a return shipment label. She made it extremely complicated. Drove 2 miles away to the other ups store on parsonage street when the manager was able to easily help and accommodate me.
Most staffers are polite and attentive. But they seem to have raised the price for printing services - had to print a return label two months ago and took me $3+.
Staff are friendly helpful, but not trying so much to help you and walk you through different methods of posting your box or envelope. The prices are fine and I guess it is the same every where.By the way, there is an only for customers parking spot in front of the store which is awesome!
Use this store when I need to return things to Amazon. Friendly service usually in and out.
The shop assistance had been very unhelpful.I was trying to buy 2 labels to send my computer to and back from the factory for repair. First they had said that they can not send the package to my place but to their own store. Fine. Then they told me that they cannot send it back because Im sending it to Canada. Fine. Then they told me that THEY CAN NOT SEND IT AT ALL because the computer is too expensive for them to take any responsibility.I
I missed my packet and I wasn’t sent any notifications even when I signed up for it. When I tried calling the location, they didn’t know if “re-delivery meant at my place or the location I see online”. They are showing a location for gas station which was weird to me.
Customer service is 0 - Manager is rude !!
I am only reviewing the post boxes they rent. I never mailed a package from this location. I only give it three stars because if a letter is not addressed exactly how you signed up they will not put it in your box. This is true even if the box number is on the letter and some of the name lines up with how you signed up for the box.
They charge a $5 minimum to print a single-sided black and white pre-paid shipping label. Beware.
Staff is nice enough, except when u disagree with their assessment of package sizing. THEY REGULARLY OVERCHARGE. I had a sense this was happening as Id not payed too close attention to package dimensions, until last time. Randall (female) measured a 12 x 5 x 8 package (thats what FedEx had it as) to be 13 x 6 x 9. Actual dimensions were 11 3/4 x 4 3/4 x 7 3/4. As I implied, I walked the extra quarter mile to FedEx, didnt mention anything and they came in at my package dimension. Sorry, 4 3/4 doesnt round up to 6. Thats how your $50 shipment becomes $60. PS ~ Im an engineer, I know how to use a tape measure to determine max dimensions :).
Parking is sketchy, only 3 or 4 spaces in front and you have to back out onto the street. But great location in a downtown area if youre walking around anyway. Staff and pricing seem fine to me.
Man at front desk was dismissive, ignorant, and rude. Wont be visiting this UPS store ever again.
Randi is always kind and helpful. I o out of m way to ship things there because the people are so nice!
Called with a quick question regarding the notary. cut me off, put me on hold and never picked the line back up. thumbs way down!
The man that was ringing me out for my shipment(older man) was rude and unpleasant as soon as I walked in the door. He tried to charge me over $100 for a small shipment. After asking the reasoning for it being so expensive he said that it was because of its size. I then talked to another employee to ask why it would be so expensive and he said it was because he was going to charge me for service fees for putting it in a new box and cutting the box down. So the man had basically lied to make a quick buck although I told him I wanted to ship it as is. I then went to another ups and was greeted by a polite gentleman who made the process very easy and charged me $20. I will not be returning to the first ups location and I hope the rude older gentlemen will not be working behind the counter with customers again after this review is read.
Excellent handling of incoming packages. Staff always willing to help when needed. Great service all around!
I dropped off my moms specimen to be sent back to the lab, but the package went MIA and never made it to its destination. WOW! Its very sad when they cant even take care of peoples poop! Will never go there again!
Worst UPS Store I’ve ever been to. Been here 4 times, and the staff is consistently standoffish and unhelpful. Don’t waste your time here, and just go to the UPS Store on Parsonage St instead.
Manger is rude,bad attitude
While living in Providence we had to go here a bunch of times and they were always very helpful with a bunch of items. Small store but they were very helpful every time and there was rarely any wait.
Used them for over 3 years for post box and shipping services. Very good staff, very on top of things. Shipping isnt the cheapest, but very reliable.
Helped me our when I really needed a package ti go out
I came to this location to ship a guitar via UPS Ground (or otherwise cheapest option). I have done this numerous times at other UPS Stores in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New York City. The Owner/Manager of this store quoted me $120 to ship my guitar. I told him I had never heard such a high price for shipping. He replied Oh, I messed up the dimensions, hold on. He proceeded to bring it to the lowest possible price $112. Every other time I have shipped a guitar cross country it has been no more than $60. I told him I will go elsewhere. These employees are overcharging so they can make a buck off unsuspecting customers. For cheap shipping of large packages I suggest packing the item yourself and bringing it to the Post Office to ship via Parcel Post. Dont give your money to these scam artists.
Great staff and easy to pay
They Ship packages. The man behind also helped me weigh the package out different ways to see if I could save a couple bucks on shipping
It aint FedEx but as long as Doug is there you should go there. 😇
Saved the day! A package was lost for a client and they helped me track it down after no luck with a 1-800 UPS representative. They personally called the Warwick hub and had a manager there contact me when they found our package. Cannot thank them enough !
All the employees are nice and helpful
Called ahead to make sure that a notary was on site. Then showed up and they said that no notary was available.
Rude people, I was sending a package back to amazon, they acted like this was the most bizarre unheard of thing, go to the post office, folks.
Hate this place not helpful at all was there for 15 min and didnt get anything done never will go back here again
Extremely rude
Thank you Sam
Efficient & friendly.
