My neighbor hired this company to replace a chain-link fence down one side of the property from front to back. They really didnt care WHOS fence they were replacing, because it was mine that they tore down and replaced. Did I get a call, a letter, a knock on the door... NO! I just roll up to the house one afternoon and boom, the fence is gone. I would expect a company of this size, would know that there is a permitting process for fence construction in the City the Raleigh. …And now we know why it requires a permit.

We needed three different types of fencing for different sections of our yard. Seegars did a fantastic job with our complex project! It looks beautiful, the neighbors all say it looks great, and most importantly the pup loves her new yard!

We had a safety issue near our garage and were going to put in a partial fence. Jeff suggested bollards as an alternative, saying they would not be too tall; would be black and set in concrete, which was painted to match the asphalt drive. The solution was creative; took care of the problem and Roberto did an excellent installation - it blends in beautifully!

This is what my Seegars fence looks like after 5 years. Thanks for such a quality installation. Lumber not treated, posts not set in concrete. All the posts are rotted because Seegars did not use concrete to secure and protect them. I called and talked with the owners son and he ignored me. Id love to hear your response. Over $8,000 spent on a nightmare.***UPDATE 6/13/2019- Im just reading your response to my post, denying that this is a Seegars Fence. We live in downtown Raleigh and had all sorts of oddities, angles, property lines and unforeseen challenges that had to be dealt with day of installation. Jeff and Gomez, his on site install whiz were so helpful in figuring EVERYTHING out on the fly. Our fence turned out beautifully including compliments from the neighbors.

I just wanted to Seegars Fence Company for the work that was done. We are in the process of building our house and have been dealing with our builder, sub contractors, and other companies; we have run into several people not doing what they are supposed to do, taking forever to complete work, not returning calls, and not completing quality work the first time. Seegars Fence Company has been easy to contact and quick to reply. The crew that came out to complete the work was polite, hardworking, and completed the job right the first time. Once again I can not stress enough how happy we are with the quality of the fence and it is really nice to know that there is still a company out there who follows through and does their job.

Placed order now over 3 months ago. They measured length of fence incorrect and left a 4ft gap. And for a corner they left 1ft gap. Been try to get them to correct now for 3 months with no results. Definitely do not recommend them

Just had a fence installed by Quincy and his crew and they were great! Jeff was wonderful on guiding us through the details of the project. They were all very professional and courteous while they worked. We have already recommended Seegars to some friends that have seen our beautiful new fence.

Requested a quote in October, they couldn’t come out for an estimate until early November. After a week I’m still waiting on my quote which was promised in a few days. They were not my only choice, I’m going with one of the other companies who responds to customers needs. Based on the reviews I dodged a bullet, because they make mistakes and don’t own up to it.

I just want to say thank you guys. You recently installed the most beautiful fence my husband and I have ever seen for us at our new home. The quality and craftsmanship are unreal. Jake was our estimator and he answered every question we had and we had a lot! He kept us informed through the entire process and made sure we got what we wanted with the end result. Shelby was our foreman for the project and I must say I have never seen such a hard working crew of guys. What I thought would take a week they completed in 3 days. My kids and my dog love the new freedom they have to play outside. I will tell everyone I know about your great company.

We had our fence built in 2017, no issues with it then. We provided them with a copy of our professionally done survey, and told them to build the fence accordingly. Fast forward to 2019 as we are trying to sell our property, and come to find out that they built the fence on the neighbors property line. When I informed the company of this issue and asked if they would fix it, they said they would not fix it for free (even though it was their mistake) and said it would be several weeks before the issue was addressed. They informed me it was the owners responsibility to make sure the fence was placed properly. We provided them with a survey, told them we wanted it on the property line. What else were we supposed to do? Stand behind the builders with a ruler as they were building it? Very disappointing when a company does not own up to their mistake. The issue has since been resolved, with no thanks to Seegars.

We just had a custom wood fence installed and it is fantastic. The salesman took time to answer all of our questions about the options and products we wanted. The installation team was courteous and professional. We did get other quotes that were about the same price but these guys were way more professional. I guess that is why they have been around for 70 years. I have already recommended them to others.

During a recent storm, we had a huge tree fall and tear up four sections of our fence. After much research, we selected Seegars Fence Company to do the repairs. From the initial appointment for a quote to the completion of the fence, their communication, quality of repair and customer service has been exemplary. I’m pleased only with the final product. The service of this company is appalling. Took over a month to just get someone out to our house for a very simple fence. The one man “crew” they sent seemed to be a contracted worker that had almost no communication with the “supervisor” and didn’t even show up to work although the sup said he was on his way. The worker also showed up on our property after the job was done for an unknown reason without our knowing (we have a security camera.) Also, and worst, our card was run twice and they denied charging us twice. This has happened just last night. Unacceptable. Totally unprofessional.

My fence fell during hurricane Matthew. I called Seegars to come out to do an estimate. Jake came out to look at my fence. Jake told me he would send me the estimate the following day. Well, its now been over a week and I havent heard a word. If you decide to go with this company please be sure Jake is not the one to come out. Steer clear of this company when purchasing a fence. These guys are known for not cementing post holes. Not laying out fences within the property lines and then ignoring calls of customers that have problems with the company. Many other good companies in the area. These guys are not the ones to trust with your money.

Had my fence put in by Seegars about ten years ago, craftsmanship was done very well and the fence held up great over the ever changing climates NC has been seeing over the years. Had to have a few pickets and gate done under the Seegars warranty and was assisted by Mark Rouse and Jeff Grey. The process was simple amd hassle free and both men made sure me as a customer was satisfied with the work and process and their follow up was thorough. Recommended business for others for their fencing needs.

The Seegars Fence Co online system directed me to the Rocky Mount location because I live in Franklin County. The guy they sent out was not helpful but I am sure that other Seegars locations can do better. Dont waste you time with the folks from Rocky Mount, NC. Call Raleigh instead

I contacted Seegars because they were recommended in my Nextdoor App. Jake came out to give an estimate and said he would send a quote the next day but we never heard back.After reading these reviews, maybe that is a good thing.

Simply awful, from customer service to follow up to workmanship. I have never seen such a poorly run organization. The work crew failed to even measure the section my fence was be installed in, resulting in a 6 inch gap at the end. The only way to fix it now is to settle for a random additional post at the end. This is just one of the issues not to mention its only been installed for two month and already started falling apart. Dont even consider this company.

We had a fence installed over the Christmas Holiday. Seegars did a great job. They showed up exactly when they said they would and the job was completed very quickly. I did get other prices and they were all very close but seegars seemed to be much more professional and I was glad we choose them.

This is my second fence with Seegars. They are awesome. Both times I have used them I have been impressed with their response time, their communication, and their installers. Have loved working with them for years!

The initial planning and estimate process with Jeff and the final product were great. Everything in between was a prime example of how poor communication and poor customer service can absolutely ruin a product and an experience.When we placed a deposit we were given an estimated install date but very understandably were told it could be delayed by weather. As a result we were told they would keep us updated of any delays and when they were planning to start the install. The ONLY time we got updates were when we reached out. There was an install delay but again very reasonable as we were warned and well they cant control the weather. Still, updates would have been appropriate.The gentleman who came out to do the install was great and delivered a really nice fence except on the final day he loaded up and left us with a 16 ft hole in our fence with no comment to us about it. I called to ask our contact/planner at Seegars why we had a hole in our fence. We got some story about how even though they had our deposit and order for the fence for > 1 month at that time they did not have the hardware to complete our 16 ft gate. Now mind you they knew the whole reason we were building this fence was to secure our dogs safely in the yard of our newly purchased home so a 16 ft hole is a problem.It took me 3 phone calls and 5 days, each time being promised I would be called back shortly and never once being called back to get a temporary solution of a piece of chain length across the hole. It then took another 1 1/2 weeks with a couple phone calls, a couple text messages, and stating that I was about to find another fence company to complete the project to get the gate installed and finished. I am not sure why as the customer it was my job to work so hard to get some communication and a resolution plan from the company hired to do the job.You better believe though that it took them < 24 hours to then send me the remainder of my invoice (we paid it promptly within the requested time and without debate) and a customer satisfaction survey once it was done. I took the time to fill out that customer satisfaction survey very similarly to what I am putting here.While my husband and I are left with a very nice finished product we are also left very unhappy we went with Seegars. They were not our cheapest bid by >$1,000 on our ~$10,500 project but we went with them because of the initial quoting and estimating experience and because they had done a previous job for us that we were happy with. Given our experience we feel that Seegars got us locked into the job and then stopped caring the minute there were problems that meant they had to actually try in the customer service department. We should have gone with the cheaper bidder, at least we wouldnt be out the extra money and frustration. If your project goes off without a hitch you will likely be very happy with the final project. If you need communication or customer service look elsewhere.

Unfortunately, my experience with Seegars Fence Company was very poor. I am a service member currently stationed overseas and didn’t want to burden my wife, who has enough on her plate with three kids. So despite the fact they were almost twice the price of others, I hired Seegars based of their longevity and reputation. From the beginning Jake Spataro was horrible! My wife had to call a few times just to get them out there. Once they looked at everything it took several calls to get the quote. When we received the quote they requested 20% up front, we paid in full hoping it would help improve the process; It didn’t. It took several calls to find out when they were going to show up and once they did the job was horrible. I was sent pictures that showed a 4” difference between the tops of the old fence and the gate and a 2-3” gap between the gates. Again called several times, finally talked with Jake who assured me it would fixed by the upcoming Friday and he would email me a picture. He called my wife on Friday to tell her it would be pushed to Monday. On the following Wednesday we still had not heard back from Jake. So I left a message on the owner’s voice mail explaining my situations and experience with Jake so far. Jake actually called my wife with an attitude complaining that I had called the owner! He called my wife a couple days later to let her know they were there and fixing it. To date, I have never received and email with a picture or a follow up phone call. I can’t speak for the entire company, but Jake is the worst customer service representative I have ever worked with. If you look up other reviews I am not the first to voice dissatisfaction with Jake. A simple phone call or email from the company would have been nice.

Took them 8 months to finally finish the fenc . Ordered gates wrong 4 times. Very little communication with u . We had do reach out to get an update.

Below zero! I hired the Rocky Mount office to install new gates and fencing at our ATV/Motocross park. They installed the gates but never took the old ones down, never called to say the job was complete, and the gates wont open all the way and my customers are complaining. Weve called them 7 or 8 times and all we get are broken promises. The only good news is we havent paid them a cent yet, thankfully. These folks have by far the worst customer service Ive encountered in 40 years.Stay away from them!

We were referred by our realtor. What a mistake. Customer service zero. Numerous emails and phone calls to our sales associate Jake were ignored. A simple request to clarify a quote also completely ignored. I have no idea why service is in their corporate mission statement. Its absent in the real world in my experience.

They seem way over priced. We had a segars fence put in and then we wanted to install a gate on the fencing. They wanted ~600 dollars for the job with the materials at around ~$300. They would not really break down the cost and hesitated to provide any information after the quote. We will go to a different fencing company in durham.
