Ransom Brothers True Value Hardware is a pleasant atmosphere, and had all the items I needed for our home project. A great place to shop.

This is a Great LOCALLY OWNED Hardware Store with very helpful staff. Ive never had a bad experience here and cant say enough good things about the place or the people.The staff take their time to understand what youre working on, walk you through step by step on how you fix it, and recommend any products thatll help get the jobs done quicker or better.I cant say enough about how nice these folks are. Theyre a great well rounded team and someone is always on hand to answer most any question from plumbing to paint!The store stocks most everything you may need, though I do wish they carried more electronic parts now that the Radio Shack down the street closed up.The Ransom Brothers have two stores. The big main Main Street store carries just about anything youd need to repair something around your house, including; knickknacks, seeds, paint, misc screws, bolts, nuts, pots & pans, hand tools, power tools, you name it. However the Main Street store doesnt carry Lumber, and big ticket repair items like fencing.The B Street Store is geared more towards Contractors and Do It Yourselfers tackling big projects like roofs, additions, etc. They stock things like; rebar, brackets, plywood and lumber, doors, feed, concrete and so forth. Theyll also custom cut lumber and can order a lot of speciality items if you need them. As I mentioned before, the Main Street store is good for dogs, but the B Street store isnt. Im sure theyre welcome - its just a busy place with contractors going in and out, trucks getting loaded and unloaded, tight isles and overall a business environment. Its not a place for lollygagging :)If youre new to town or happen to need something out of the ordinary, give em a call, or better yet, stop on by. Theyre good honest folks. I seem to be in there more than I care to admit for one of the countless projects I have going on. There have definitely been some times that without their guidance Id have been up the creek.

They usually have what I need but they are not very welcoming or friendly. I have been there numerous times and always have the same experience. Need to improve customer service. Just saying hello when someone enters and a small amount of light conversation when checking out would help. The main street employees are better at this than the B St employees.

The best hardware store in Ramona. They have almost everything there you could possibly need in the way of hardware.

I am always delighted to go to Ransom Brothers. Between the two stores and their lumber yard, I rarely need to go outside of Ramona for home repairs, or projects.I am very pleased with the incredible customer service, knowledge, and professionalism at Random Brothers. I highly recommend them.

Great place. I love shopping here for all my gardening needs. They even carry fox farms there. They have pretty competitive pricing. Somethings are a little more but somethings are less. Either way I love shopping at this place!

Today I was frazzled had a million and one things going on and got an unexpected text at checkout. And instead of the check out clerk being kind an patient, she was rude and awful. I told her she needed to stop. And that I was distracted but to continue and had my card out and instead of mean when its obvious someone is having a rough day that she could be patient and kind. It only took a moment and there was no line and other empty cahiers when a gentleman did come up. She wouldnt even look at me. It was by far the worst service I have ever experienced in this store. She was obviously annoyed I answered my phone, but that doesnt mean she had to treat me the way she did. I even explained and said I was sorry that I had something unexpectedly come up and she just rolled her eyes. In the midst of my phone and her attitude, I was having an anxiety attack and left the store upset.I called the store and talked to the manager and explained the entire situation and he was amazing! He was like life happens. Sometimes you get distracted at inconvenient times and we all need to work together. And I really appreciated him! Usually everyone in the store is kind. I know that it can be frustrating to have someone answer a text or phone. But theres always more to the story. And he is an amazing manager. Kindness goes a long way and overall the majority of the stores employees go beyond and are kind and we will continue to shop here.

Ransom Brothers hardware (one next door to Albertsons and one on B street) is a great hardware store for not having the massive floor space of a Lowes or a home Depot. They dont let you down very often. If you need help at the location next to Albertsons, ask for Ed. Super knowledgeable and very kind. The only reason they got 4 stars out of 5 is due to their pricing. Understandably, they are going to be a tad higher than the big chains.
