We bought a used boat from Superior. They were great to work with. The salespeople were honest and thorough. Wes did a great job helping us understand the different features of our boat. I dropped off my boat on Wednesday. I called Thursday for an update with no call back. I called again on Friday. I think Kelvin needs someone who can help take calls and updates. I called again Monday and got sent to voicemail. I called back and asked to talk to a live person. I was told “they are talking about the boat and will call right back.” Again no call back. I finally drove down there to see what was going on. They luckily said my boat was complete. However, they couldn’t change the impeller for the belly ballast because they didn’t have the part. Which the previous year they sold me the impellers as I had parts in my glove box. But, they sold me the wrong ones. I feel like they didn’t start on my boat until Thursday. When I dropped it off Wednesday. And having to come back because they didn’t have parts. Not cool guys. Hire more help. I know what it’s like to be overwhelmed in a position with no back up.
Had the boat scheduled for winterization last week. Boat was serviced in the requested time frame. Workmanship was excellent. SBRS is a well oiled organization. Captain Bob Bense runs a tight ship with excellent results. Thanks to the crew at SBRS.

I have been here a few times over a year ago and this last experience was unacceptable. About a week or so ago, we came in on a Saturday and I was looking around with my brother and noticed a few things and overheard a few things that rubbed me the wrong way. There was a young woman who is very immature and was goofing around. This is unprofessional as it shows that this employee lacks the knowledge of how to conduct herself while at work. I noticed the outside back area was full of debri and cleaning supplies and towels. We are here to look at boats and this is sloppy. My brother has bought a boat from this dealership a few years ago and you can see the difference in the staff. Please train your staff better and honestly, supervise them. Young staff with not much experience leads to bad business. The old saying was, When the mouse is away, the cat will play. This holds truth. We will be coming back during the week to see what staff is there on weekdays compared to weekends. I hope its a better experience.

Superior Boat Repair is my go-to service provider for my Air Nautique, not only because they are the authorized Nautique dealer and service site for the area, but the professionalism of the staff is excellent. The two hour drive from Napa county is worth it for the confidence of knowing my boat will be thoroughly cared for and I will get prompt and helpful communication throughout the process.
I rarely feel compelled to write reviews...but Superior Boat has caused me to make an exception. Great service...I cant express what a relief it is to have found Bob and his crew. Ive owned boats for over 30 years and I can say, without any doubt, that Bob provides the best service Ive ever experienced. Honest and fair--unfortunately rare in this field. Same with the sales portion of the operation--they go the extra mile and are professional. I cant think of any cons--its all good. To say I highly recommend Superior is an understatement.
My wife and I decided to buy a boat and after doing a bit of research on line we went to Superior to check out a couple of the consignment boats. Our sales guy Josh was not a salesman at all, but rather an enthusiast who was all willing to share his joy of boating and expertise to help educate us to the differences in the different models, both advantages and disadvantages. The entire process was smooth and I would highly recommend Superior to my friends and family.

Update to previous post, it keeps going with problems! Had and paid $915.96 for 100 Hour Service on 07/06/17 that included: changing fuel filter(s), check fuel system lines and connectors for leaks, only for a month later we get stranded on the water again for Warning 94: Low Fuel Pressure. So, another job they obviously didnt do or didnt do correctly. Just know taking your boat to them will lead you getting stranded on the water MULTIPLE TIMES!! Take your boat to actually trustworthy people Sporting Edge Marine in Antioch, CA who is the dealer now fixing what we paid Superior to perform. Absolutely Ridiculous!

Simply put, technicians at Superior Boat Repair excel at what they do. When you are cruising on the water, you will notice the difference in how your boat performs. I think it is fair to say that they care about what they do and want to get it right the first time. Kudos to Bob and James!
I just bought my first Nautique, a 2005 SV211. The owner and I negotiated a couple things that needed to be done before I bought the boat and that is how I found Superior. I have had a great experience with their staff, both sales and service! Always willing to answer any question I may have, and they do great work! I won’t take my boat anywhere else!

Professional, thorough, and highly recommended. I had wanted to sell my pontoon boat and called around for some help, but with unhappiness of either paying someone and taking a hit on the profit or doing all the work myself and taking a hit on the overall price. Four other places gave me off the cuff low prices based on the name of the boat and the engine and this was to either buy it from me or sell it for me (with a huge brokerage percentage). When I called Superior, Matt answered and started asking detailed question on the boat, assisted in determining the best time to market it, explained options and benefits, and then shared his pricing which was far better than the others. In the end, Matt and the team met not only their estimated time to prep, market, and sell the boat, but they brought in a few thousand more than expected. Believe it or not, I was happy with the cash I took home in the end and this was truly a no effort endeavor on my part besides driving it down there. I really didn’t want to sell the boat just out of the work required, but the Superior Boat team clearly blew that issue away for me. This team should be the first stop when you are thinking of selling your boat.
These guys are fair. And Ive never had to take anything back even on my old boat. The did a great job on my upholstery and I use them for regular maintenance.
We are on a road trip through Nevada and California with our Nautique G23 and hit the prop at a lake in Nevada. After calling several dealers in Utah and Nevada and getting the same old we will help you when we see fit and you should just be thankful we answered the phone routine, I called Superior and they went out of their way to accomodate us and our travel schedule...these guys are awesome!

Dont fall for their SCAM! Their claim is they want to treat you like family. Well, heres how we got treated. Buy our 2016 Super Air Nautique G23 Memorial Day weekend at 70 hours. Approximately 2 weeks later, at 119 hours, engine begins to overheat. Call them, spoke to the owner, Bob, who stated it is more than likely the impeller. The impeller gets replaced. Approximately 3 weeks later, the NCRS faulted, and few days later at 164 hours the engine begins to overheat again. This time with the manifolds staying cool, and the source of the heat is coming from the engine. Next day take it back to them and explain what has happened, and to go ahead and complete the 100 hours maintenance service and the Platinum Protection. Few days later, we receive phone call that the reason the boat overheated was because the impeller was on backwards. Our immediate response, That doesnt make sense because the boat ran for 3 weeks no problem. Their response, Yeah, these things happen and we ran it for 30 minutes, no problem. Few days later, we called them back to say, Can you please double check everything because it still doesnt make sense to us that the problem was the impeller when the boat ran for 3 weeks and 50 hours with no overheating, plus when it did overheat this time the manifolds stay cool. Also it is a big ordeal for us to bring our boat to you because we live on the water, and it takes 1 hour just to get it to the boat launch from where we live, then 2 hour drive without traffic. Needless to say it takes a day away from us to travel to you. So would rather you double check and make sure all is well then get our boat back and it overheats again. Their response, Oh absolutely, will run to service team and double check with them. Get our boat and kids who have been gone for a month that are very excited to get back on the boat, and go to the water. Put it in, drive in the 5 mph zone for 3-5 minutes, begin to take off, and IMMEDIATELY OVERHEATS!!!!! AHHHH, so angry!!! Yes, lots of screaming and cussing is happening. This is not suppose to happen to a $130k boat. Call Superior Boat Repair, speak to the owner Bob and tell him what has happened. His response, You cant put an impeller in backwards. Our response, Thats what your service people said, and what we said is that doesnt make sense. Then Bob says he is going to hang up if dont stop harassing. Yes he said, harassing. Now, I will be honest, we were absolutely furious, loud, and cussing in our words, but not at him and defiantly wasnt insulting or disrespectful. As my husband said, Sir, you are not the one out here stuck on the water in the middle of a slew for the 3rd time in your brand new $130,000 boat, I AM BECAUSE OF YOUR PEOPLE LYING TO US AND NOT DOING THEIR JOB. After answering all the questions Bob was asking, he then says, Well then just bring it in next week. Our response, Will you personally oversee your service people because they obviously dont know what they are doing. His response, Well Im on vacation next week, but I guess I can remotely. Monday morning, we call the Nautique Factory out of Orlando to explain what has happened to us and get their advice of what we need to do. They informed us the same thing, You cant put an impeller in backwards, and if an engine is overheating they should have took it to the lake to make sure it is running correctly. I then inform them they specifically told us they didnt they just hooked the water hose to it, reved it up in RPM for 30 minutes and said it runs good. Next they tell us this shocking, but not so shocking remark, Oh, We get complaints about Superior a lot. Last, we call the other Nautique dealer in Campbell who informs us they wouldnt be able to look at our boat until September 1st. Now our predicament is, wait 8 weeks to have your boat fixed, or take it back to Superior, the people you dont trust. So I drive the boat 2hours to them for them to tell me that they are not going to work on it anymore.So they intentionally let me drive the whole way. FOR NOTHING

Took my boat in for major service and as always the Superior boat team was thorough, professional and had my boat ready as promised. As a boat owner for over a decade and having worked with several dealers in the area, none perform at the levels of Bob & team.
Superior made good on their promise to fix our 2008 Super Air Nautique. We had digital issues with the engine and exterior damage to the hulls gelcoat. Superior were able to quickly diagnose the engine malfuntion as a failed Gateway and had the new part installed for the weekend. As for the damaged hull, the repairs made by Superiors subcontractor are flawless! Perfect color match (tri-color hull) despite the boats age, and the finish is like new (as was promised!). I will return for next years service.
While there were issues I happy state that Bob and his team responded to rectify the situation in a timely manner without and challenges. I will use them again when the need arrises! Keith
