UPDATE: I spoke with Matt this morning & he was able to set up an appointment for me. Thank you Matt!We have purchased multiple appliances at Martins including a refrigerator about 2 years ago. We recently moved and kept that refrigerator at the house we sold— so we no longer have it. With that being said in our new house we inherited the fridge from the previous owners. I contacted Martins (who is normally the only company we use for appliances) to see if they could come out and take a look at it for us and they told me no because we did not purchase it from them. Even though it’s not the fridge we purchased 2 years ago (only because we moved) I think this is terrible customer service as we are existing customers. We also just purchased a washer and dryer from them less than a year ago. Beyond frustrated!!! Looks like we’re going to have to change our “go-to” place for appliances.

I went to Martin Appliances today to look for a new black dishwasher. The gentlemen that assisted my mother and I was so extremely helpful. He showed us various brands, the features, asked what type we prefer either plastic inside or stainless steel. Which didnt matter to us but Im so glad he gave us that option. We decided on what we wanted, and with all the delivery cost, install and haul away it was very reasonable for a Bosch Ascenta. Oh in case you didnt know they do give 5% discount for military. No one will offer, I always no matter where I go ask if they give military discounts. Here are some pictures.

Although it was pretty obvious he is new, he was very helpful and if he didnt have the answer to our questions he was more than happy to find out. They advertise appliance repair, but when once I contacted them desperately about my fridge not working and to request the service, they say they only repair items that were bought at their store. OkWhy not to clear advertise so people don’t waste their time and your time calling about a service that you do not provide?

Went looking for a dishwasher. Salesman, Shane, helped us and was very informed about all the features. We bought a new dishwasher to replace the 16 yr. old one in our home. It was a very pleasant experience.

After being disappointed by Lowes several times, I discovered Martin Appliance and they restored my faith in appliance buying.They were honest, fast working, and professional the entire time. We bought our new speed queen washer there. Our sales guy Kennon was super nice and helpful. The delivery and install (even during a power outage) did a fantastic job! I do believe we will be using them for all of our appliance needs including outfitting the kitchen and a new water heater.

Updated 1/1/2020: initially I didn’t write a review and rated a 3 star with no explanation. (I mistakenly hit 3 stars but intended to rate it 4 stars.) The deduction of 1 star was solely on price and decided not to make a purchase here and went elsewhere.Today I received a response from the owner which was a very detailed and thought out response. I may regret my choice if I encounter any problems and need assistance in the future. Clearly this is a company that cares, not only about their bottom line but their customers as well. As a business owner myself I respond to every review. I try to rate and review most businesses I patronize and rarely get a response. I would now give a 5 star rating but if I didn’t make a purchase it wouldn’t be a truly realistic evaluation. I will change this rating to 4 stars as I initially intended but hands down I highly recommend giving a good look at doing business here. If the time and effort was put forth to respond to a 3 star rating with no explanation I’m confident they strive to satisfy every customer and if a problem would arise after the sale they would do any and everything possible to help resolve the problem.

Fantastic and stress-free experience. Our dryer broke and my co-worker recommended Martin. Their price was lower than the big box stores. Delivery and removal was only $49. Fantastic service and overall a really great experience. Will be returning to Martin for our other appliance needs!

Martin Appliance has been OUTSTANDING, especially Andrew and Jim. We had a very bad experience with an American Range that we bought there and they went above and beyond providing repair support and customer service. When the Manufacturer, (American Range) failed to provide the needed service and repairs, Martin Appliance handled the issue fully. We are incredibly grateful and have bought our washer, dryer and dishwasher from them We are truly big fans of Martin Appliance. Their customer service and attention to detail is exceptional.

Martins is really a great place to do business with. We have never been disappointed in any of our dealings with them, anywhere from purchasing small appliances ie vacuum cleaners to large appliances ; dishwasher, freezers, ovens, refrigerators, etc.. There service if something should happen is always quick, courteous and professional. They service any brand of appliances. Weve been to several of their stores and have always pleased with all aspects of our dealings with them. We tried to return/replace our washer & while they seemed open to it, we then never got a call to setup details.Dont buy a top loader washer! Top load without agitator will not clean your clothes! Government regulations limit water for every setting & it is far too restrictive. There is no way to get around the settings, in fact, if added water got into its huge tub, that would likely break the other mechanism so there isnt any way to win with these washers so all brands are the same!Its dryer is fine although settings are hard to set because lights on panel are far too bright-even taking time to turn room light on as contrast, panel lights are blinding. We had wanted Maytag (after ours lasted 20+ years) but they were out of stock. Our top of line GE just didnt do it & all brands were pretty much equal- took this because it had a stain removal option- its rarely used. I guess were just not messy & prefer to pre-spray if spotted- it works.We supported local small owner & wont be back as they said OK to our faces but then werent really open to making arrangements. Well support other stores.

Save yourself the pain! After only16 months, our $900. Maytag dryer isnt working properly and they are making excuses that include trying to convince me that my wet clothes arent really wet and the sensor is shuting the dryer down after 3 minutes, to we shouldnt be using dryer sheets! When I became angry at the level of excuses, he told me that I needed to be able to have a professional conversation after he made opinionated, inappropriate comments about how often I wash things. I will continue to spread the word to avoid Martin Appliances!

I had a really good experience converting to a tankless gas water heater with Martin Appliance in Exeter. Everything went smoothly and the final charge was exactly what I was quoted upfront. It’s been a couple months and I haven’t had any problems.

I have several appliances from Martin. My electric bills went down considerably by installing two mini split heating systems and a hybrid water heater. The have almost paid for themselves.

We went through Home Depot for a whole house water filter estimate over the summer. Martins was in contact quickly, and were very willing to answer questions regarding types of filters. The person doing the estimate and the tech were professional and friendly. They were both also willing to answer questions and explained how everything worked.The whole process was pretty painless, except trying to get Home Depot and their payment systems to cooperate. Thankfully, they were able to resolve the issue without any extra fees for us.A few months later, and its still worth the money. No more chlorine water smell or dry skin issues. We have a Keurig that doesnt have calcium build up in it, yet, with no pricey Keurig filter, after 3 months.

Found that this is the person I spoke with and he was very helpful in answering all my question and what he didnt know off the top of his head he research online for me answering very one of my questions

My Miele fridge and dishwasher needed repairs. Martin Appliance techs were sent, and not told by Miele that two techs would be needed. Two weeks later, the techs came to do the repairs.Everything seemed fine, but the door needed further work. A tech was sent again and I lived happily ever after. Martin was very courteous, and came back even though Miele only paid for one visit and one tech. Great company with great customer service.

Great sales and service. Would have given them 5 stars but they delivered my fridge and it had a dent that is quite noticeable. If it was on the opposite side It wouldnt have mattered. The delivery guy asked me if I saw it when it was on the display floor? 1. I didnt know I was getting the display model 2.If did know that, I would have had them pulled it out so I could look it over(they have all their fridges up against on another}. It looks like one of the truckers strapped it way too tight and bent it. I would have sent it back but, our old fridge was on the fritz and I was off work and we needed to just get it done....But they did give us $100.00 bucks off for the dent. and I do plan on getting a good dehumidifier from them but I am going to make sure there is no problems with it before it leaves the store.
