Wild Sage Coffee and Kitchen is really a Reading PA hidden gem. The selection of coffee, expresso, teas, food are delicious and exciting. When you enter you really feel like your at hip trendy coffee shop in Seattle. The decor is so beautiful and the details so refreshing. I’ll be back over and over again.

Get the avacado toast with bacon. Bacon makes everything better. Its a fact. Coffee was good, and the muffins were fresh from the oven. ❤️ Chocolate chip goodness.

I love stopping in interesting spots when I find myself in a new town, so I was delighted to come across this cozy little cafe while looking for a quick lunch on a recent trip up to Reading. Their food and drink menu had a lot of good stuff on it - I got the zaatar tabbouleh and a dirty chai - and I ate in their cozy courtyard, which might honestly have been the first place Ive had a meal not at home in five months. I would definitely recommend them if youre looking for some good food and coffee in the area.

You have to see the space in person to appreciate how beautiful it is. The beautiful ambiance is perfect for sipping delicious coffee + eating good, but healthy food. I could not be happier that Wild Sage Coffee & Kitchen made their home in Downtown Reading.

Such a sweet place to get away from busy city life for a moment. Stepping in is like taking a breath of fresh air from into a cozy forest. The food is full of healthy and wholesome organic options. The service swift, kind and feels very much like home. I reccomend to any local looking to try something new, or any traveler needing a spot to feel like home.

Its wonderful to have such a warm, relaxing cafe in Downtown Reading. I tried the French Sage Butter Grain Bowl and it was amazing! I was surprised by the portion of the dish. The menu is on the pricier side, but you are paying for quality food! Definitely recommend!

I was visiting Reading for work. I live an hour and a half away and I would literally drive here just to visit Wild Sage. I had the Golden latte the first time and it was super tasty so I made a point to come back. My second time I had the Korean street taco sandwich and lavendar cold brew. They were both great but the sandwich was AMAZING!! Plus the owner is so sweet. I got there just as they were closing and she still took care of me. Please support lovely people like this!!!

Went to wild sage a few weeks ago. The atmosphere is great. Its quiet and the decor is awesome. I got a latte which isnt usually my go to drink but I enjoyed it. The only thing was the workers werent too friendly and didnt really greet us. We greeted them. Not a big deal, just noticed that! Will definitely be back!

Great little coffee shop, indeed! The decor is a modern design mixed with vintage materials. I just got plain black coffee and was impressed that I had two choices... Ethiopian or Venezuelan... and there was a description of the coffees telling me what to expect in the flavor. You’d only get something like that if the owner was both knowledgeable and passionate about coffee, which I appreciate. I had a bacon egg and cheese sandwich on the side, which was great on sourdough toast!

I’m so sorry. I like the concept of the place for Reading. However, the service was horrendous. Extremely slow. The excuse was the backup of people. There were about 7 additional people in the cafe. However, there was seating for about 10-15 people. If the place can’t handle 7 orders, how can you handle the true capacity of customers?! Also, there was no greeting or anything, just stone cold faces.

15 minutes for a hot tea I never received. That would be enough, but the barista decided to complete an order for a person who came in after me. Gentrification isnt going to work in this Reading if all these new businesses continue to cater to the white people who abandoned this city in the first place. Its time for the new downtown businesses to be more inclusive with the urban community instead of the suburbanites who just come in to make their money.

Review №41

I have given them a few chances, but unfortunately I have not had any great experiences with service OR food. Their employees do not have great customer service and lack engagement. On 1 occasion I stood at the counter waiting to order while the girls working talked, laughed, and took pictures on their phones. At that point I had decided not to get food and just get a coffee because of their poor service. The customer in front of me received similar service. I went to their new location at the market and the girl seemed uninterested in waiting on us and having to work. We ordered a large smoothie bowl for $11 and were shocked at the size we received. We measured it out and it was only 10 oz. I eat organic, natural, and local daily. I am well aware of costs and have no problem paying for good quality food. Unfortunately, the bowl was way over priced and it was not even freshly made. I was expecting it to be blended upon order like other places do. I was very disappointed in the quantity and quality for the price. There are other places around that provide better service, better quality food, and better portions. I love to support local businesses, but I will not be giving them another chance.

Had a great lunch here today, place is tastefully decorated w/art on walls. Loved the vibe and the food. We came for lunch on a rainy Monday and it was NOT busy so i would say the service was great!! I had a “plate” with sweet potatoes spinach and quinoa with a spicy turmeric dressing on the side- served warm- ❤️ It!! My medium roast coffee was delish. Definitely would come back, my only reason for giving them 4/5, was my friend wanted a latte and they didn’t have expresso today? Not sure why, and they served water in plastic cups with plastic lids & straws and then brought silverware in glasses? Ditch the plastic for in- restaurant dining, and just put a water cooler by the napkins and creamer.Let your customers refill the smaller glasses as needed. Too much plastic to throw away! Otherwise loved it, highly recommend!

Initially I gave this place a 5 star, been coming here for a year and it’s saddens me how horrible the service has gotten. A bunch of kids playing really loud music or not playing music at all, don’t even greet you with a smile. I ordered an avocado grain bowl and I didn’t get my dressing so when I went to ask them for it 2 different staff told me it doesn’t come with a dressing.. mind you I have gotten this plate many times and I even showed them a picture of the plate online where it shows the dressing and they still tried to tell me it comes without a dressing. I came before 12PM which is usually before lunch time and there was no lemonade so I ordered another drink and got it when I was nearly done with my food and there was only 3 other clients in there... very disappointing.
