Fantastic place to get a superb quality restoration for all of your vintage electronics from the golden 80s and beyond. I have been going there for years and always received nothing but outstanding customer service and all of my turntables, cassette decks, portables, etc., were completely and fully restored and serviced and performed better than a day they came from the factory in Japan over 40 years ago. This magical skill and acumen requires special recognition, hence I am willing to pay premium to get the unobtanium parts for my vintage equipment sourced, installed and calibrated by the Wizards at R&B electronics. Kudos to the entire crew and business owner for keeping precious antiques alive and making me smile every time I play LP or a cassette or a VHS. Simply Outstanding! Very Best from Leo in SSF :-)
I brought in a small subwoofer amplifier that had 1 popped capacitor early in covid restrictions. I paid $150.00 up front.4 months later it was completed and I went to pick it up.The popped capacitor was taped to amp in a plastic bag.The shocker was that I had to pay an additional $320.00 to get it back.to me that is robbery and totally unprofessional. I have a small home automation business that sometimes needs customer units repaired.I have now gone elsewhere with fair pricing.I will never use R&B again
Serviced my McIntosh MA230 (hybrid solid state/tube integrated amp from mid-60s) and it came back performing like new. Serviced a pair of AMPEX power amps and preamp and one item needed a revisit. Service to 1970-1980s solid state gear is first rate. Rates charged are fair. Would like to give a 4½ star rating but thats not an option. I will be a repeat customer.
Took my McIntosh CD player here for estimate. My player CD door was not closing. I Paid the $150 for evaluation of repair. They wanted $425 to make repair. I declined and took it home. I inspected my player and then realized they did not even open it to make evaluation. Ended up taking it to a local small electronics repair place. He got it working. His rate was $75. He said it was just a loose wire that had separated from circuit board.
Very helpful! Best in the business.
Paid $125 for diagnostic and they came back saying $399 for repairs. Anybody in their right mind knows today you can buy a new decent intermediate amp for that price with all the latest bells and whistles. Complete SHAM it is!!
The owner is not honest. Use cheap plastic aftermarket parts to replace the metal one. New Installation is out of alignment and wobbles. Expensive mickey mouse work, not recommended.
Very pleasant people there and quite knowledgeable.
Take all my hi end audio here when its not working
