I was very disappointed. I called up this Saturday evening inquiring about a product that the website says this store in Reno carries. When I called, I got a representative in the Vitamin section that really didn’t put forth any effort to help me. The first thing he said was that the store doesn’t carry it; but when I told him that the website says that they do carry it, he said that it would be impossible to know every item in that department. I asked him politely if he could look for it since I don’t live nearby. He said that he didn’t have the time. I asked him when would be a good time to call back. He said that there is no good time since they are half-staffed. I was polite and thanked him anyway. He didn’t apologize or say a word…Terrible customer service!

No crowds. Fresh organic produce. Excellent selection of vitamins, herbs, and supplements. They carry products Whole Foods doesnt stock. The store was super clean. The employees were smiling, helpful, and friendly. I come here for the Host Defense Mushroom supplements, probiotics, electrolytes, vegan capsules, etc. But usually leave with several items not on my list. Check out Natural Grocers, you wont leave empty handed.

Ive been shopping here for several years and really like the store. It has good produce, an array of bulk foods and emphasizes healthy packaged foods. The store is large and spacious and during the Pandemic, staff have always been masked and conscious of cleaning surfaces and carts. If you sign up with your telephone number, you received discounts on some purchases and points towards cash rewards.

I shop here often and love their organic selection! I especially love that every single produce item is organic. Theyre also the only store I have found to carry the non-GMO Pringles from the Good Crisp company. Those, by the way, are AMAZING! They also carry organic tater tots and organic ramen noodles. Their selection of vegan items is also great, though Im not vegan, my parents are so I keep my eyes peeled for unusual vegan goodies. All in all, if youre vegan or trying the organic route, this is the place for you! :)

First time in this store. Ive always wanted to visit and I finally did this time. I was amazed with how much variety and products they have. The staff members that we spoke with when we had questions were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. There was a slight misunderstanding with some of the products and prices that I was trying to buy because I was misinformed by one of the workers. We came to an understanding and clarification. I wasnt upset or anything, but it was nice to know that she admitted fault and apologized for her mistake. She was very friendly, respectful and had a warm presence. As a customer, its always nice to feel acknowledged by staff members. I would definitely come back and shop here again because of the friendly environment and staff.

Love coming to this store instead of Whole Foods 1) because it’s closer, 2) it’s a small chain, 3) comparable quality of goods to that of Whole Foods, and 4) great customer service.The only negative is that it doesn’t have as much a selection as whole foods which isn’t a dealbreaker for me as I don’t have to make as frequent trips to Whole Foods versus just coming here.

They have variety of products. Sweet almond oil is my fave. I use it for dry skin due to sensitive skin. I use marjoram oil with almond oil for pain when needed.

I love this grocery store. They have many items that are less expensive than even the supermarkets and selections of items in all departments that cant be found elsewhere. I have never seen such a great assortment of nuts and seeds as one example. Pre-packaged, the selection is great. Support local businesses. Reno jobs are going out of state.

I first started shopping natural grocers on instacart in the beginning it was a pretty good The last 10 orders that I have ordered almost 50 to 70% of my order has been out of stock on any day of the week that I order I have tried calling the store I have tried calling instacart all to no avail Im not sure if instacart is not updating their shopping app or if the problem is on natural grocers side but as I said I have tried and vain again and again to try to reach out to either corporation to resolve the issue I am in a wheelchair so I truly depend on instacart as a grocery delivery service and the grocery stores that they provide on the app as being current in their offering of products that they provide I can no longer depend on either one of them Its a shame I spent thousands and thousands of dollars with instacart alone and I would have liked to have continued that relationship with both natural grocers and instacart but it doesnt seem to be in the cards

Fairly ample parking. Store is clean and well lit. Clerks are friendly and helpful. They have food items, but a large majority is vitamin type products.

I have gone in their twice now looking for an item. When asking the cashier about the item she was less than helpful. Not sure that I will be back.

Usually out of stock for what I want from them. However when it is in stock the price is very good which I guess keeps me coming back

If you want supplements it might be the place to go but if you ran in to pickup a few essential groceries such as milk and fruit, the lack of choices and high prices are shocking.

Love this store! Its relaxing and so easy to maneuver your way around and theres always someone to answer a question or help you find something. Everyone seems to have extensive knowledge about the products they carry and I find that very refreshing! Also love that youre not overwhelmed with choices but you can always find what you came for, or an option you hadnt even seen elsewhere thats equal or better. Their produce is fantastic and everything is organic so you dont need to search, just grab and go, but remember to take your own bags. This store just makes me happy!

This was my first visit to Natural Grocers. I went specifically for their selection of Quorn vegetarian meatless products. They have a good selection. My husband doesnt eat meat, and its hard to make dinner with 2 separate versions of the same thing. Thats why I buy Quorn products. They are the ONLY meat substitute that I like. They have (meatless) ground beef, turkey roast, chicken nuggets, chicken patties, chicken cutlets, beef tips, sausage, and possibly more that Im not remembering right now. Quorn is a Mycoprotein (a fungus... Think mushrooms, but its not mushrooms). Its a complete protein. I just dont like the other soy-based meat substitutes; and my husband wont eat soy anyway.

Angela totally went above and beyond to help me, and is a shining example of customer service. Bravo! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

There really isnt anything wrong with the store... but also not that much that they really go above and beyond on. The employees are really helpful, the store is clean, and the location is convenient. That said, for the price and quality, you can get a lot more selection at Whole Foods or Sprouts, I mean they dont even have a butcher/meat counter or bakery, I guess that isnt a big deal for everyone, but keep it in mind if that is important for you. If you happen to fit the niche that they are trying to serve, great store, but if you arent, there are a lot better options.

Nothing but organic produce, so you never have to worry about sorting through the fruits and veggies. They frequently have very good sales. Joining the discount club is worth it just for the incredible deal on eggs alone.

Great store for produce and vitamins of all kinds. They definitely have a wide variety of multi vitamins herb pills and any other you can think off. Nice compact layout and everything is really fresh. It is a very quiet and peaceful shopping experience especially in comparison to say a smiths Safeway or Walmart. This is my favorite grocery store. It is calm, has good open space, and is very friendly for celiacs, and vegans. When I go there, I feel cared for in the sense that I dont feel like the store is trying to sell me things my family cannot eat. They are straightforward.

This place is not too bad. I go here for their spices. You can get a bigger package of spices for a good price.The only draw back, that they dont have bags for your groceries, but they do provide boxes from their products so you can pack out your stuff.

We shop at Natural Grocers in Reno every week and have always loved this store. Just finished our shopping today and it was the worst service while checking out that weve ever experienced! We had a cart full of groceries, and my husband always bags our things. We had about half of our things on the belt and part of the belt was wet from the previous customer. I asked the cashier if she had a towel so we could dry the belt and put the rest of our things on the belt. She ignored me at first, then said Its from his produce but didnt do anything. I said I know, but Id like to dry it si I can put the rest of our things on the belt. She didnt respond, and scanned everything that was already on the belt before reaching under the belt to get a towel. She didnt dry it completely, so I put the rest of our things on the belt on the dry areas. Checking out took twice as long as it should have, and there were people behind us.I asked for her name- I hadnt seen her in the store before- and she said Jessi (sp?). My husband was still bagging when she started scanning the items for the customer behind us and mixing her things with ours. I asked Jessi to please let us finish bagging and asked for her managers name. She gave me a very dirty look, said Desiree...do you want her number so you can call her in a very rude tone.Weve always loved this store, but for the last year or so, it seems like the staff changes almost every week!Jessi acted like she hated being there, and didnt want to be bothered with us.Maybe its time to shop somewhere else 😕

We were really excited to discover a place in Reno with organic produce. However, shopping there resulted in produce that was substandard. It seemed fresh enough, but when we got it home (carrots, apples, etc.) we found they all had an odd, off-flavor. Pretty much rendered them inedible.The store was clean and the workers friendly. They do carry Clover milk and some other nice items that are not in the produce section. But we mostly were looking for quality organic produce. We did not find that here.

THE best prices for certified foods in Reno. All of their produce is certified organic, where other organic grocers sell GMO and pesticide covered produce. The prices are almost half of the local competitors. Highly recommend!

I wrote a review on Yelp, but wanted to augment it here on the stores site. First, they are the only store in town who carries the Goats Milk Yogurt I eat, and they special order cases of it for us. Secondly, I had a severe allergic reaction to something I ate, which left first water boils all over my arms and legs and back. I had tried several oils, lotions, anything anyone suggested, and all of them burned or simply made it worse. This lasted 2 months, when my skin sloughed off leaving dry, painful skin. It just kept up & up. when my husband went to get the yogurt, he asked one of the women, he doesnt recall her name or I would thank her in person, what she suggested. She sent him home with DERMA-E Vitamin 12,000 IU Cream. It not only didnt burn, it was the 1st that soothed and helped heal the dry painful skin. Now it is helping the scarring disappear! It also smells lovely. Also, I see there are some reviews that speak of certain prices being higher than Whole Foods. If we want to shop at 2 places, we have the ability to do so. There are certain things other stores do not have that are carried here. And, Natural Grocers is quite a lot smaller than the other place, therefore they must choose with their own customer base in mind. Thank You Natural Grocers, you have a lifetime customer.

Best all-in-one selection and prices for natural foods and organic products in the entire Eastern Sierra - from Bishop to Reno. I dont typically purchase their vitamins, so cant compare.Only better deals are selected products from Trader Joes and Costco (Reno/Carson City area), but those businesses dont have the rounded selection as does Natural Grocers.

Natural Grocers is on par with Whole Foods and the Great Basin Community Food Co Op. Their produce selection is organic and about 90% grown in the USA. Their meat selection is a little lacking but what they do have comes from ranches and from what I can tell is all humane.Natural grocers is a company that cares about the products they sell. Not just the consumables but EVERYTHING. The aluminum foil they sell is recycled, so are the trash bags I purchased. I have found for my personal shopping needs that Natural Grocers is a great place for the non perishables, meat and dairy. Dairy! They have the full range of Organic Valley products and they are cheaper than every other store in town!The produce is hit or miss and I opt to shop local for that (GBCFC) anyway.The prices are cheaper than Whole Feeds and the Co Op, and right on par with Trader Joes. Although their selection kicks TJs ass.My only complaint is that the lay out of the store really doesnt make a whole lot of sense. So yeah, overall this place is awesome.
