Weird experience. Double charged me. Made fun of me. Not sure $100 is the going rate for an oil change. Maybe they need to rethink or talk to your employees about professionalism.

Got me in quick and checked all my air filters. Good thing they checked cabin filter as there was tons of debris. Great service!
My family went in for an oil change recently and by the third day we noticed a leak & when we checked there was no oil.. so when we told them what happened they really tried to say it was because we weren’t parked right then acted surprised when they realized they messed up. If you want to save money AND time don’t go here.

What a great shop. Friendly knowledgeable honest and all the work was quality. Staff was friendly and I told them to replace my battery and they informed me it was just a loose connection. I have a lot of vehicles and since then Ive had them do oil changes, brakes, air conditioning, catalytic converter and mount and balance tires. always a pleasure. Troy is the guys name who runs the shop. I wish more business owners were like him. 5 stars plus !!!!

My boyfriend and I have been coming here for a few years now and we’ve never had a bad interaction. The crew that works here is busy and they’re professional but they’ll make sure that if you have questions, they’re answered before the work gets done. But here’s the thing, YOU need to ask the questions. Any time I’ve had a question about work being done or pricing, they’ve always explained it to me thoroughly and made sure I was confident in the work being done. I used to be a PepBoys client but it’s safe to say that the service I’ve received for my car has far surpassed my desire to ever go back. Thanks for the recent oil change (I was literally there for 30 minutes - mostly shooting jokes while work was getting done), see you in 3,000 miles!

Very disappointed in this location. I brought in my own high end oil and filter for an oil change for my turbocharged car. I paid about $45 for the service. 10,000 miles later, I change my own oil and it is utterly black and foul. I discover that they didnt install the 15k mile filter I gave them - they used a $3 3k mile shop brand filter, and who knows what oil. I just ran that oil and filter way beyond what it should have been. I will not trust this location again.

Do Not drop your car off unless you take note of your mileage and gas gage. Stay with your car! I filled my tank on Thursday, had full tank and when I picked it up it was 3/4 full. And they told me my coupon was good for 10% off new wiper blades!! Didnt happen!! Next time I will take it to Jimmy.

I now get my car maintenance done here as well.Original post - I get my oil changed here regularly. I know nothing about cars, and love that they dont take advantage of that and push other services. Ive never had to wait longer than 15 minutes, the staff is always kind and my car is still running :)
This group of leaders should train other stores across the country. Every-time I bring in a vehicle they handle it professionally, competently, honestly, and with a brisk pace. Always setting the example for others to follow. I will have the F-150 in next month, thanks guys

A relationship between a service company and a customer is built on trust. The trust has been breached. I just spent over $100 for a full service oil change which was completed in less than 10 minutes. I specifically asked one of the technicians if they were going to check the tire pressure and he promptly replied Of couse.I get in the car, the low tire pressure light is still on. I drive away and decide to check the numbers. 31, 29, 24, 25. No way could they have checked or added air to any of my tires.I U-turn and go back. He proceeds to add air and Im literally watching the numbers go up until the low pressure indicator light goes out.Now Im wondering if they really changed the filter. Or if they really used synthetic oil.Basic level attention to detail is all that is required. They failed. The trust is broken. We have 4 cars that weve been taking there sporadically over the last 15 years. Were done.

Went in for an oil change. There was no hard sell on additional service or materials to purchase, just professional service and the work was done quickly. Staff is no nonsense and very skilled. Pleasantly surprised, I will be coming back next time I need work done on my car.
$ 120 for a 2.4 engine oil change is expensive. Before starting work, they called the price $ 92. I can not use my own oil and filter.

Since 2015 Grease Monkey at Fairwood has always been extremely generous in taking care of any vehicle I have owned. To the general manager and all of his staff, thank you for always leaving me feeling that being a Black Man in the Pacific Northwest was not a strange thing. I’ve never encountered any kind of attitude, BUT the general manager and his staff have also been Firm with me when I try to ask for more than what was already generous 😂. Id give a zero star if I could. My fiance went there a couple of times to get oil change on our classic car and the third time he went there, he asked for the same service as the last two times. This time they were not only rude to him (making jokes and commands towards him which he could hear), they did his car last eventhough he was there for about an hour already. On the paper, they also have the cars make, model and year all wrong. And they charged him more than they did the last two times. Just terrible customer service.
*AWFUL* customer service. Very rude, when I asked for a estimate for a simple tuneup on my vehicle. When asking for a ball park figure, the customer service man was extremely rude, and literally quoted me $5,000. I told them they just lost a customer. I had heard a lot of negative things about this location before, but I still gave them a chance, and today sadly discovered what I heard was very true. Glad they didn’t have the chance to also break my vehicle too.~Extremely Disappointed Customer.
I took my SUV here for an oil change a few months back. Within a month. My car had no oil. So after driving my car for some time without any oil in it. It started having problems. I drive a Honda pilot and it was an expensive car to buy. I took the car to them and spoke with Aaron regarding the issue. Before talking to aaron I took car to a few mechanics and they told me the cap was not put back securely and correctly when I last did an oil change. So when I spoke with Aaron I informed him that maybe they didnt tie the cap and he immediately become offensive and was embarrassing me in front of other customers. He stated that when they did the oil change 4 months ago they tied the cap back on and did everything correctly. I was a bit puzzled on how many cars they work on a daily basis and how he remembers my car from 4 months ago. Even a child will he thats a lie. Although he wasnt even working on my car at the time of the oil change. He embarrassed me and did not want to help me. So I took the car to another place to change the oil and the mechanic there informed me that he hardly touch the oil cap and it fell down. He stated that whoever changed my oil last did not properly put the cap back on. I called Aaron and told him that and he still refused to care and hung up on me. You guy have to remember you pay a lot for you vehicles and work hard earning the money. I made the mistake of taking my car there so please be careful. Now I have to deal with taking my car for repairs sadly because they neglected it. Their mission stated is driven to perform, so our customers and their vehicles can too! Totally disappointed.
I took my 2006 Audi A6 3.2L quattro here for an oil change. Ive paid close to $70 for the service. Part of the service is to replace the oil filter, which they did. The filter comes with 2 o-rings, but they only replaced one. Because of this negligence, oil started to leak from the filter. Since the filter is on the top of the engine, the oil from the filter ran down all the way to the exhaust, where it turned into heavy smoke. I took my car to a mechanic and he explained all this to me. I know nothing about cars. I had to buy another filter (just because of the 2nd o-ring that they probably threw away) and pay for the replacement another $30.The guys at Grease Monkey either dont know what they are doing or they just dont care.
These guys have given me amazing service at each visit, and Ive been going to this location for probably over a year now. Theyre friendly, funny, and get the job done well and right.
Stopped in last minute for a quick oil change..I was in And out in under an hour and they were attentive and respectful. They overcharged s little but and put the wrong kind of oil in my GMC. (I forget to specify the oil type, but its standard for all GMCs so I assumed theyd know)
I have gone here a few times for oil changes. Most of the time it’s okay. They forget to top off the other fluids quite frequently, I’m never really greeted well, and just recently was told I needed to pay $109 for a oil change... granted they put high mileage oil in it (which I didn’t ask for). when I brought up the price he quickly changed it to $48. Seems really suspicious to me that an oil change would be that high and there was no communication about putting a different kind of oil in my car.
I am always pleased with the service here. Service is consistently speedy and staff is courteous, respectful, friendly. I come away with a smile every time.

I went here for the first time a few weeks ago. I had no problems, but they did not reset the service engine soon light, so now it comes on when I start my car.

They were a touch more expensive than I was used to. However, they checked everything out and got a needed air filter replacement. They also washed the windows and vacuumed the car out. While thing was five in about 15 minutes and that was with two people already in process before me.

It was the worst experince. The staff was ok no one disrespected me or anything. Whats wrong was the pricing and the was i was charged. I called on saturday to ask the price for brake change i was quoted 179 for front and 179 for rear but when i reached there on sunday they told me its 299 each. My brakes were almost gone and i didnt find any place nearby open on sunday so i had no option but to get it done. Firstly i the employees were talking to each other secretly and trying i shouldnt hear them. Then i realised they buying the parts from oreilly store next door. So i went to check the price qith them. So the total parts cost if i go and buy next door was as follows breakpads were 45$ each and the routers were 55 each so the total cost of parts right next door was 200$ and when the time came to pay the bill they charged me same price for the pads but routers were charged for 99$ each and there were 3 diffrent charges for a $100 each for labour. When i asked the person at the counter he said well we told you it is gna be 299 each so we have to charge that anyways. I am very sure that was a lie and they over charged me for the labour. So basically i end up paying 300 dollars extra. Today i called a couple more places to see if i bring my own parts every genuin mechenic including greasy monkeys other location charge 100$ labour to replace brakes. So if anyone wants to pay double of what you get this is a paradise

I am more disappointed that they dont care about my business than they are about loosing my business. They up sold my gf and she ended up paying twice what she normally pays to have an oil change on her 4cyl subaru outback which didnt make her feel very good. when I talked to the manager about it and explained my frustration his answer was that I should go somewhere else. I must have had a surprised look on my face because he followed up with I dont understand what you are asking for? well Im asking for you to provide competitive pricing for the same product I get down the street and to try and do something to encourage me and the people I know to do business with you. I feel like anything less is a failing business model. The management at Grease Monkey Renton doesnt care, their attitude is pay my high prices if you want to do business here or go to our competitor. I will go to the competitor and save $25 x 3 cars every 3 months. It was an interesting way to learn how to keep $300 a year in my pocket and spend $0 at Grease Monkey.
Went to Grease monkey last week and got a full service oil change. I was told that they supposedly vacuumed the car as well as checked the levels of the other fluids in the car both of which were not done. Needless to say I will not be returning to this place. Very dissapointing.
