I paid for my headphones ahead of time, and expected to just go pick up, but had to just stand around and wait 10 minutes and ask a couple of times before someone finally came out. Meanwhile several apple employees just standing around. I feel technician managing the queue could have done a better job of making sure my order came out promptly. That was the promise when I placed the order.
I made an appointment a week in advance and still had to wait for an hour! I understand many places are understaffed now, but first, this place makes no adjustments on amount of appointments they put out and I saw most Genius Bar customers had to wait, and secondly they have way too many sales standing there doing nothing and too few tech members scrambling all over the place. This is not on any individual team member but clearly a management failure. Avoid this location at all cost. (2 star instead of 1 for the team member who was understanding and professional)
Naseeb was very nice and polite. He seemed very knowledgeable and was very professional. Apple is very lucky to have him. But I was disappointed though to hear that even though the error was on the part of Apple, Apple only offered a four year warranty to fix the hardware issue. The phone is five years old but we bought it just two years ago for my son. So apparently since it has been five years, Apple wont take care of the hardware issue that they admit was a defect in the manufacturing. It should be like a car where the recall is lifetime.
I agree. No one knows nothing at this store. Had to drive an hour and a half to this store and the technician we had, simply walked off while helping us. Once we flagged the technician down again, were told they would have to “reschedule” us if we still wanted help. I guess the technician ended our session when they wanted which meant we had to rebook again! My iPad was stuck in a boot loop following an update and I ended up fixing it myself simply by holding in the power button twice. I tried on my own personal computers (windows and a M1) but they weren’t working so I figured I’d have to go to them. While I was waiting, I was talking with a few of the staff and most were clueless.I was listening to conversations by Apple techs and customers while I waited, and over and over the same pattern occurred.. When the technicians don’t know how to resolve a problem, they consistently try to get the customer to “schedule another appointment”
My daughter’s phone was stolen while she was at work. We came in to buy a replacement phone. Greg and Jessica were thoughtful and helpful. They made a stressful situation much better. Highly recommend the Reston Apple Store!
Guy at the apple store activated the wrong phone number on my brand new iPhone. I asked him to double check and make sure its correct and he was adamant that the phone number displayed isnt the one the assigned to the phone. Id like to give him a break because it was the day of release, but thats not a great reason to mislead somebody.
A bit of a wait for walk ins. Great customer service. Knowledgeable employees.
Patient and knowledgeable staff! I was at the store for hours trying to figure out a tough issue. They sorted it all out and even comped a charger! Thanks!
Be very careful buying or getting apple support at this store. Went here to get a replacement of my less than a year old iphone as suggested by apple support. This store refused to give me a replacement and asked me to leave the phone there to just replace the parts. They were also very manipulative of the words used in the apple warranty by saying replacement does not mean new phone, it means replacement of the faulty parts. Even spoke to their manager and he started talking about environmental problems of replacement of the phone. So they would basically try to get you to leave your phone there with them and risk data loss, data being copied or miss used or worse getting your device hacked. As a thumb rule, never leave your phone that contains all your wallet keys, stored passwords and tremendous personal information.
We came for a watch, and were ready to buy after picking the correct size. We were told that the earliest appointment they had was for almost two hours later and that no one could help us until then. We picked out the size ourselves in a matter of minutes while at least six workers stood around and talked with each other. It was incredibly frustrating (and frankly puzzling) that no one would help us and that we couldnt just buy what we wanted despite the apparent ability of staff.
I updated an ipad pro on Saturday, October 23 by trading in an older pro. The technician said he can assist by performing a transfer at the store. The technician made an error and did fully back up my ipad for transfer by using the temporary icloud storage feature that was offered when purchasing a new ipad. During the process, the transfer was slow and the technician said everything will transfer but it will be better to use my wi-fi. Instead of the slow one at the store. But, during the night, the ipad did not fully restore, there was not enough icloud storage and I lost 80% of my data. Lesson, read for yourself before you come to the store and do not trust the technician’s knowledge. or go to another apple store.
I was picking up my preordered iPhone 13 pro max. The place was packed and i told one of the employee that I need to go because I just got out of the hopital and I was going home I just stopped by because the store was on my way home. But the employee made me wait longer. She ignored the fact that I told her I was a special case. I just had a heart transplant. So much for customer service.
One if the worst Apple store ever! They ruined my day just because of my phone replacement! They told me that they will replace my phone then they changed their mind and told em that they will fix it! It took 4 hours from beginning to end. I had similar issues before and it usually takes 30-40 minutes max.
This store is absolute trash. Drove an hour after calling to see if they had a phone in stock only for them to tell me they don’t have time for me because I don’t have a reservation and they are closing in 40 min. These are incompetent and unprofessional individuals who said nothing about scheduling an appointment when I called. I wasn’t calling to discuss life advice I was asking what phones were in stock for an obvious reason. Spending $1000 on a phone that would be a 2 min transaction to process my payment. I guess that was too difficult for them to bypass their 20 minute counseling session of Upgrades add-ons and upselling. What adds insult to injury was the number of Apple employees standing around doing absolutely nothing. I asked a group of sales representatives multiple times if they can help me. I have had nothing but Apple products for the last 10 years and swallowed my pride each upgrade or new device, but this was the one that sent me over the edge. I am officially over Apple and their idiotic methodology of their store. They can lock others in their ecosystem but this one just got out today and I’m happy to never return to their trash store. Sadly like all corporations these days they could care less and that attitude passes on to the employees.
I like it! Clean and there are a lot of devices on display. Their method for keeping crowding in the store was a relief. I sort of felt like I was in line waiting to get into a popular night club. The staff were helpful and patient. Overall I was happy to buy my new phone from this store.
Worst customer service ever, went to the store for a pick up, nobody tried to help me until I had to interrupt two of the workers conversation. I believe they earn by commission that’s why they don’t care about other customers who don’t bring anything to their pockets.
I went there yesterday for a replacement for my apple pencil. Moe gave amazing customer service!!!! Thank you!!!!
Mike is the best!! So helpful and patient :)
I hadnt been here since before the pandemic, and even before that I avoided it because of its paid parking when I could go elsewhere and accomplish the same task. I needed to bring my mac laptop in for technical issues, and I managed to get an appointment in Reston today while a Fair Oaks one would be two days hence. On weekends parking is free in the garage. The Reston Apple store relocated next door and is twice as big but with none the accessories that I had expected to be on display. The Apple store checked for my appointment and once inside checked my temperature. There was plenty of social distancing available, so I never felt threatened.
Yesterday I went to buy an phone 12 bc my sister dropped hers that same day (I wasn’t well dressed bc it was 8 pm and was just in the house ) and when we got to the store no one greeted us; we waited for more than 30 minutes and I I even made eye contact with an employee that was literally in front of me. After we waited that long a white lady comes in, well dressed and of course 2 TWO employees go and greet her and ask her if she needed help. Like wth I just wanted to buy the phone and leave. If I could I would rate them zero stars tbh and the dark skin tall guy that helped us at the end was sooooo helpful not like the other employee.
I wish I could leave a million zero star reviews — I am absolutely furious after spending a total of six hours at the store for what I was told would be a one hour long appointment. My husband said “that is ridiculous, you need to talk to the manager.” I happily would however she was standing there giving her employees reviews individually with a line of employees behind her waiting (while tons of customers were waiting) and telling them how they could upsell customers. Not a single person apologized for or acknowledged the exorbitant wait. It took 45 minutes just to have someone get my phone for the repair appointment and then another 30 for them to bring it back to me after they said it was ready, only to have it replaced and updated for another hour while the employees continued to stand around. The individuals that helped me were fine but the overall experience lacked any sort of effective management, customer service, or professionalism. Almost makes a girl want to switch from apple. This store needs new management, what an absolute disaster of a day and time I will never get back. Apologies to all the customers in the store for my screaming baby — she didn’t anticipate a one hour appointment turning into a four hour disaster. Never going back to this store, cannot convey enough how much of an absolute disaster it is.
Do not recommend this store. The worst Apple experience ever.
Apple Store…. good service and customer care.
Loved this store. Alen was really helpful and friendly!!!
Normally a pleasant experience, and earlier in the covid pandemic it was amazing, the store has now become quite frustrating. I used to be able to drop off my phone with minimal contact, minimal time inside the store, and minimal conversation. The store used to be wide open, and people could spread out. I used to love coming to this store - the representatives were (and still are) wonderful. But whoever is in charge of the pandemic changes has made a serious mistake. Now they have moved all the desks forward and put up tall separators - sounds safe, right? Not at all. While the employees now have plenty of space to spread out and work, the customers are shoved into less than 1/5 the total space, and roughly 15 at a time. We are certainly not 6 ft apart, and ventilation is poor. Several customers were enjoying socializing and moving around in this small space, and while most other stores in the Town Center keep their front doors open, Apple is sealed shut.I came twice, both for a simple task - dropping off my phone and picking it up. All the diagnostics and feedback could be done online, but even if not online, it takes no more than a few minutes to do both in person. Instead, on the first visit, I spent an additional 20 minutes waiting for someone just to begin helping me. I did not get to wait outside, which would have been nice, nor was I waiting in a socially distanced area. I was waiting inside, at the desk, with two people directly on my sides, less than 6 ft away - and at least 5 people cycled through on both sides while I waited. Many customers were not wearing their masks properly, and many were doing a poor job of socially distancing. On the second visit, same story. I stood at a desk, alone, with nobody in front of me. Finally I announced I was going to wait outside, where I could remain socially distanced, until someone was actually ready to help. I do not mind waiting, I know they are busy, but do NOT make me wait in a crowded area indoors when you can easily just call me in when ready.Like I said, on my visit a couple months ago for a repair, I did not even have to enter. An employee came outside, scanned my ID, and handed me my phone - it took less than 2 minutes. Yesterday was a different story. Apple is trying to adapt to the new pandemic worries, and in that adaption they have made sure their employees are hardly safer, and their customers are far more exposed.
Pretty busy on a weekday, which I suppose means its a good thing for business in the area, as were coming out of lockdown.
To be honest, Ive never been in an Apple store and the vibe when I first entered was very busy and claustrophobic but I came for a class on Procreate with Jon. One of the helpful Apple employees directed me to where I needed to be and once the class started I had my mind blown! First of all, Jon had a microphone so we could easily hear him over the noise and he gave clear step by step instructions. I have been wanting to learn Procreate for awhile and after taking this class, I am SO excited to get started! Jon was a great teacher and I highly recommend taking any of his classes if you are interested in digital art.
Very surprised at the insincerity and rudeness, not sure what is going on at his place. Two different employees very dismissive and reluctant to help even though we made it very clear we wanted to make a purchase. Spoke to us with a condescending tone and left us alone while they played in their phones (not busy with other customers), so we walked out.
Tried to walk in to buy a phone, was rudely told that the mask I was wearing wasnt sufficient for whatever they expect people to wear in store. Now we have to deal with mask standards? The law is to wear a mask. But not to any specifications- I recommend people buy Apple things at less offensive retailers.
We came from Lisburg to Reston because they did not write on Google Map that store are temporarily closed and the phone number they left was not answered.
I spent over 16 hours between going to the store and talking with Apple Support over the course of a week where I was being told I had to spend $700 on repairs and that it would take two weeks to fix my computer. I wound up having to buy a new computer just so I could do my work before another location finally told me I could solve the issue for $30 in a day. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get the money back for the other computer I had already bought.I used to love Apple but I will literally never give them another dollar in my life.
Dear God, short staffed and running like a little piece of California stuffed into Virginia, with all the Covid protocols. Waited a half hour outside, not fun, had to wear a mask, guess they dont want their stuff to catch a virus.
Aaron was absolutely amazing!!! We was beyond helpful and informative in helping me out with my iPhone which kept glitching. He went above and beyond to make sure I left with a fully working phone again. The store was spread out and the whole COVID precautions ran smoothly. Apple customer service is amazing.
Ordered from the apple website. It shows delivered, but my home surveillance clearly shows nobody ever delivered a package. Apple refuses to do anything about it. Ive lost $2,400. I am taking this to fox 5 news
Had to replace an iPad due to a cracked screen. Aaron at the Genius Bar made it really easy in and out in under 20 minutes with a fresh device.
Worst service ever by apple in my whole apple service experience. They took my iPad and gave to 3 days to call back with status.Been 3 weeks, no update.Called, but no response.Visited, no entry. :(Same situation with my daughters laptop at same location.
I went for an issue with my AirPods and iwatch, and both of them were resolved. Eden the geek squad member resolved my AirPods issue in a very technical manner 🙌. Thanks guys and keep it up.Last but not the least COVID restrictions were strictly enforced and followed. 👍🏼
Gorgeous new store... right next door to the old one. The staff was super helpful and their COVID procedures are good. I went for the Genius Bar and maybe it’s just me but I think COVID has improved the Genius Bar by making it less busy. As for products, they didn’t seem to have all of the various Macs on display, but I doubt that matters much, considering that isn’t their primary sales engine. In terms of the Apple stores in the area, this one is in a great outdoor shopping centre with the other shops you’d come to expect like Lululemon, Sweetgreen, etc.
Take for ever to get service, one the worse Apple Store.
Honestly the employees were kind of rude to me.
If it was possible to give less stars I would. I went into the store to buy the newest iPhone at the time and after I bought the phone the Apple employees offered to transfer all the data from my old phone (that was working perfectly fine) to my new phone. They took both phones to transfer the data and when they came back to me they said they broke my old phone and were not able to transfer the data. I was then told that my old iPhone that they broke would not be capable of getting any of the data that was on there off of it unless it was already backed up to the iCloud which my 5G of iCloud storage consisted of just some music and apps. The Apple employees didn’t seem to care much. They gave me an Apple Watch (an older model) and just rushed me out the door. I was so upset about loosing my iPhones data I did not know what to say at the time. I was speechless. The biggest issue I have about loosing all the data that was on my old iPhone that Apple broke was 1) loosing all my passwords, such as passwords to cryptocurrency accounts that to this day I still do not have access to. 2) The most iterating thing that was lost was all my photos and videos I had on my old iPhone. Specifically, a few months prior the horrible experience at Apple I went on a once in a life time trip traveling abroad for about 4 weeks. I went to many places such as Paris France, road trip across Israel and a few places I staid at were (Tel Avie, Nazareth, Sea of Galilee Capernea, Jerusalem, Kalia, Masada, Eilat). I also went to Jorden and staid in Petra, Wadi Rum, Amman, Aqaba, and then I went to Egypt and spent time in Cairo and Giza (where the Egyptian pyramids are). I also visited Palestine and Paris France again for 2 nights on the way home. Every single photo and video I took on that trip is gone. I took over 7,000 photos and videos on my iPhone during this trip to preserve my memories and reminisce.Every time I see anything that reminds me of these places the first thing that comes to mind is how Apple broke my iPhone and lost all my digital memories (pictures and videos) and how I will never be able to go back again. I will remember this horrible experience for the rest of my life. To this day I am still upset about the outcome of this situation.
**No Photos allowed as per Apple policy** Even though I was not able to take pics, they deserve a review. I arrived and was checked in. Then I moved to a COVID-19 clearing station where I was asked several questions, my temperature was taken then they made sure I had a face mask on during my visit. Within 2 minutes, I was called and taken care of immediately and without problems. Everything went smooth. I want to highlight the 2 superstars at this location. Jay and Elisha 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 I strongly recommend. 👍🏻
Staff is really kind. i came for a repair for my iphone 11 and they tried to charge me 450 dollars 😟 i went to ubreakifix and got it for half the price
I have always purchased Apple products. My last and I do mean last are the Airpods . There is no way to have the store in Reston, VA to allow anyone to have someone simply place the smaller cushions onto the pods/. I tried to get a time to go across the street here where I live in Reston to have someone show me how to place the smaller cushions on. The call center, God only knows where that is in this world, said I could have an appointment in a week or so. Apple needs to look up in the unabridged dictionary the word customer. As far as I am concerned, this customer is in the hunt for another supplier and be assured that I shall share this attitude with everyone I know across the country. Great designs, NO SERVICE!
Great customer service and safety measures. And amazing jaw dropping design as always. Stunning attention to details.
I looked inside and said to myself Android is better than Apple and then I walked away never to look back :PRegardless the staff is great and knowledgeable, helpful, clean and safe store and wonderful to deal with
They didnt even try to help, not like the Apple Store at the Florida Mall 🤷♀️
I had a semi-emergency. My IPhone stopped playing sound through the receiver, which doesnt help when your line of work requires a phone to communicate with clients. When I got there, they had multiple people out there ready to assist however they could. I explained what was going on and were able to help me get in as soon as possible. When I went in Elijah (I apologize if I misspelled) was right on it. We had a great conversation, she was happy, smiling, and wonderful throughout the whole process (even some of her co-workers were happy to be helping and talking) They did maintain public social distancing standards very well while keep great attitudes! Thank you guys! I appreciate what you are doing at your store!
It is an Apple store just like any other Apple store. Staff was helpful. I suggest making an appointment. If you just show up, you may be waiting a while to get in due to COVID capacity limitations and precautions. They do a temperature scan before letting you into the store.
With a scheduled appointment there is no wait time. The team is super friendly and takes care of all your concerns in a matter of minutes.
I’ve been trying to get support with a brand new iPad problema charging and starting to bend before the pandemic, obviously after pandemic (we are a year in )brought iPad and I was simply told that it’s out of warranty. Very frustrating experience no real solution to a brand new product . Save your money Don’t buy iPads.
The customer service was smooth and quick today with social distancing guidelines in their new store. Jade was extra helpful she was able to check my MacBook Air and fix it. I was in there with my young son and we were out of there in under an hour. Thank you so much!
Staff here extremely uptight and not customer friendly. Could not figure out basic promotions. They argue and talk over customers. Very disappointing experience compared to other Apple store.
Highly dissatisfied in the quality and follow through with customer service. I have been an apple customer for 18 years and this company has lost any care for customers.
Satisfied with service
Coronavirus measures are needlessly intense, the lack of people they let into the store just leads to a viral line forming outside of it which of course is spreading so much corona. And it takes up the entire sidewalk.
Service was sooooo good and i got my stuff quickly.
During this uncertain time of heath safety with covid, every venture in public is an eye opening experience with regards to a business and its consideration for employees and clients. I thought it was important to review my exceptional experience with the Apple store in Reston. Service was quick and efficient even with all the extra steps enforced to ensure public safety. There are few businesses I have visited to date who have proven such seamless consistency in excellent service with extra practices in place. Thank you!
Came here to fix an intermittent, unexpected rebooting issue for my MacBook Pro and the first appointment disappointingly just ran a simple factory reset, whereas the second one proposed a full-fledged solution by going as far as sending it to a repair facility to replace some hardware parts which ended up repairing my laptop as new 💯
I brought my iPhone X to fix a screen glitch. I was told it would be an easy screen fix by the initial technician. Mind you I was out of warranty. After six days I went to retrieve my phone and was told they found an additional undisclosed problem and could not fix my phone. They attempted to offer me a “discounted” new iPhone X in exchange for my broken phone and would allow five days for me to make a decision. I rejected the offer and took my broken phone to another phone service company immediately afterwards who fixed my phone in an hour and has since worked perfectly. Apple attempted to acquire a sale of a “discounted” phone and likely never tried to fix my iPhone alleging their inability to do so. I assume if I took the deal they would have taken my broken phone, fix it, and then sell it to an authorized dealer. The sad games of making money off loyal Apple customers.
Jonathan was great, respectful, very knowledgable on all the apple products. Will definitely come back to this store.
The gentleman who helped me in the front was very good and I thank him. However the total experience at the Reston Apple store is very bad, the service quality is very poor.1. The 2 pentalobe screws on the iphone bottom are missing after the battery replacement.2. iphone was reset and all data storage was wiped and I didnt request this.3. When I called Apple to make the appointment, I requested battery replacement for 3 phones, and this clearly showed on Apples record. however, the Reston Apple only did replacement for 1 phone and refused to work on the other 2 and said the Apple employee made the appointment with me should not make appointment for 3 phones. No matter whose problem this is, either the Reston store or the Apple employee who made appointment for me, all are Apple employees. Apple provided poor customer service.
Great place.
Max was our waiter, outstanding. Service great, food excellent 👌
Helped answer my questions, solved my dilemma.
Very poor service + not dealing kindly with disabled patients I advise you not to visit this branch😐
Knowledgeable staff! Trained well! Fast service!
They treat their customers disrespectfully. I will never buy from them again. I went to the store after waiting 1 week for an appointment. I bought an item and realized it’s a duplicate of what we have at home. This happened 30 seconds later, they wanted to force me out of the store to wait in a long line when I already had an appointment to exchange something I just purchased. The manager named Abdo (whom was disrespectful) was the one the on insisting I need to wait in line a second time. I buy apple products regularly but that will change. They also have this miserable angry man that when you arrive talks very condescendingly to costumers to give people instructions. They acted as if they are running a military operation with unprofessional customer service.
Apple store experience is almost never great especially when compared to Best Buy but at the end of the day these reviews seem to make no difference. The iOS usability keeps me a customer otherwise Apple store experience is the worst store experience in my opinion without exceptions. Keep waiting keep waiting, appointments don’t matter, doesn’t matter you are buying, returning, or repairing a product - just keep waiting.
I had to have the screen on my phone replaced so I called Apple and made an appointment to come to this store. I was assisted by both Alonso and Fritz who were very knowledgeable and helpful and did a wonderful job ensuring my phone was taken care of, including replacing a battery and the back of my phone camera as well after running a diagnostic. I would also like to note that while I was there waiting I witnessed another agent named Noel supporting an elderly woman with her phone, including setting the background on her screen. He was incredibly patient and kind and it genuinely brought a tear to my eye to see the respect he showed this woman. A great visit all around!
Poor service, dropped off phone for repair yesterday, only supposed to take an hour, but still not ready
The quality of character is too low. Todays staff is too disappointing for us. He doesnt deserve to work where. I am an old customer of the Reston IPhone store. I was so disappointed today.
So I walked up to the door of the store where they were screening people. I was told thatI can not go inside tge store and if I want the iphone 11 pro max, and since they dont have it in the store so I should irder it online from a nearby store and go pick it up....They wanted me to do all of this while standing on the street in the rain....they must think no one else makes phines....so as a result, I am right now at best buy mobile trying to buy a note 20 utlra and its looking like I will walk out with one. Stay away from tgis store in particular and from apple products in general.
If I could give it 0 stars, I would. They wanted my 3 month old baby to wear a mask. It was one of the managers.
The manager was rude and disrespectful. The iPhone broke after the latest upgrade and it was my fault. Spending $399 or $250 (if you have Apple Care, you already spent $150 + $99) can’t be a solution for a $1000 phone that’s less then 2 years old. If your upgrade broke my phone, Apple should pay to get it fixed. Overpriced and fragile
Amazing place to shop
Very friendly staff great place to learn about Apple products and we own a lot of them. Wish apple would make better phones though. I now buy Samsung or other Android models as they have faster operating systems and are much cheaper
During corna I had no better experience than at the apple store in Reston town center they where fast and easy really good service 10/10 would recommend
My goodness
Fast and quick
Cam was very nice.
The store is always so crowded. They need to be in a bigger place, hire more people and spread things out a bit. Otherwise its good. Staff is helpful once you get one. Stuff is too expensive but thats for a different review.
Tommy is an all star on your team! I came in today and it was urgent I get my iPhone fixed. He had Ateve then Martin ready and waiting to run tests and make it happen for me! These guys are excellent!! Please recognize them for five start customer service!!!
Amazing experience due to central location & great staff.I went with my wife and little infant in stroller. Staff member came up quickly to open the door and we were welcomed with smile.I just walked in couple of steps and another sales person came to help. I bought an iPhone 11 & Airpods without much waiting and wandering around. Paid with Apple pay. Super quick and effecient.
They are in a hurry to send you off.I had an issue with an AirPod, they just gave me another one and said charge it for 15 minutes and it should work. I waited there, charged for 15 minutes and it wasn’t working still. Went to the representative and the person said - “sorry you will have to book another appointment “ .
Was at this location today to buy a new phone everyone was super nice but the second man that helped me I believe he was a Tech specialist was SO incredibly knowledgeable about all products and things they have going on within the store that I had no idea they offered my phone took a while to back up so we were chatting for awhile he def made my experience seem to go by quicker thanks again Corey for the great customer service !!
It was expensive🤣
This is my favourite apple store in Virginia the exceptional service offered by one worker named Omar Mustafa is simply outstanding and nothing short of a miracle. I am fitted from head to toe with apple products and buy every single new apple release because of this amazing man.
Went there to fix a broken phone or buy a new one. wait was very reasonable and quick. the tech explained himself well. purchase was easy without any headaches
This review its not to Reston store. Its to apple in general. This was the most traumatic experience ever just to try to buy an iPhone.
The service was outstanding friendly and informative.
I am not an apple fan. In fact, I cant stand their products or their software practice of slowing down phones because it help preserve the battery. So why the 5 stars? My daughter has an iPhone 6 and it has had several problems with the battery. We made an appointment to have the battery replaced because the phone would no longer charge or turn on. The day of the appointment, I received a call and was informed that no batteries would be available for a week or two and that they could diagnose the phone over the internet. After explaining that the phone no longer boots, we were told to keep the appointment so they could diagnose the issues there.Once at the store, the technician was able to get the phone to boot but offered my daughter a replacement phone for the cost of the battery. He was certain that with the software issues that the phone displayed that the new battery would not resolve the issue.I am a huge fan of great customer service and that is what we received. They made my daughter happy and this makes me happy! The least I could do is leave an appropriate review and to say thanks!
Appointment to have battery replaced on older iPhone. Representative claimed there was water damage and a broken charging socket and the phone was not fixable. It would not power up, so all data on the phone was lost according to the Apple Rep. He offered to sell me a replacement phone (of course). I took it to an independent repair shop who replaced the battery and said everything else was fine. The phone works. Buyer beware of any up-selling on repair services.
