I have never had Bangladeshi pastries before, and on this particular trip to the DFW area, my sister found this little ice cream shop. The ladies behind the counter were very friendly and courteous in answering any and every question we had. The deserts were freaking amazing! So glad we bought extras for breakfast in the morning.
I’m not a big fan of ice cream but Big Dash ice cream is literally THE BEST ice cream I’ve ever had and It’s addictive. Their Syrian sweet is amazing as well, but the ice cream is what I drive all the way there for. Service is amazing, and owners are soooo caring and making sure their products and their service is Top. I love that place for their gummy texture ice cream. It’s heaven in my mouth. Unfortunately, I was in DFW on vacation for 2 months, I’m from montreal and I wish I had Big Dash around me. And oh! Very nice decor as well. Good place to pick for sweet!
The kunafa is incredibly delicious and the customer service is unimaginably good. I highly recommend it to everyone. Best sweet store in dallas! 👌❤️❤️
The service was way above average. The variety was really good for a small shop. We had one traditional ice cream, it was ok for me, but my guess is that my palate wasnt able to enjoy it (this is not the reason for the four stars instead of five). I gave four stars because some of the pastries I bought felt a little old, dont get me wrong, they were fine just not on their prime. The girl at the counter recommendations were on point though, super fresh and delicious. I will return, but I will ask what is your recommendation today? And buy that. Please go if you like Turkish Pastries such as Baklava. Try the ice cream (they give samples)... Honestly its not that expensive, and their fresh pastries are extremely good.I think they also sell coffee and had people enjoying theirs in the salon.
We found this little gem when driving in the area. We tried the Tahini Crepe which was delicious; it was sweet and had a hint of spice. We also tried some of their sticky Turkish Ice Cream (Coconut, Pistachio and Oreo). We also tried some of their small treats (Baklava) which were also good. Would recommend this place if youre in the area.
Love their baklava and other sweets. You can taste the dried fruit and nuts they use in preparation versus the sweet syrup. Delicious! Its a gem hidden and ready to be explored!
The best ice cream I have ever had, hands down. The flavors are unique and authentic. Its not sugary at all and is so creamy! Definitely has ruined store bought ice creams for me, as well as pretty much all other ice cream shops. The service here is so friendly. The lady let us try out any flavor we wanted and kindly explained what certain desserts were so we could make the most of our first experience.
Ordered one pound of baklava mix of cashew and pistachio as I always do. I come regularly and every now and then I have an issue but I ignore it but this time made me never want to come back. She charged me for a pound of mixed baklava ($15.99) but only gave me a pound of cashews which is $12.99. I realized when I got home and drove all the way back. When I got there she made it seem like it’s my fault then she started whispering to a coworker definitely talking badly. She then only gave me 3 pieces of pistachio baklava which is not even close to filling half the box like I wanted. Terrible experience and I left without what I wanted because I was just angry and annoyed with them.
Very nice! I bought a two scoop ice cream and they were very generous with the scoops. I also tried several of the pastries; Im very glad I did! Ive only had packaged middle eastern sweets before and they simply do not compare. These were delicious and Ill be back for more.
The staff was friendly and polite, The desserts were delicious and perfectly made. This place is truly amazing, and I couldnt be happier to be a customer here. The whole atmosphere is bubbly and the people are welcoming, the prices are very accommodating, and every dessert is made with the best and freshest ingredients. I would recommend everyone to come here and enjoy a tasty treat and experience new and exciting flavors.
First visit, first impression, nice place with a very kind and nice staff, a bit too tight to sit and eat your ice cream but take outs is always a good option. Thanks for the delicious Kinafa!
My name is pistachio and I am available in all color, size and taste in BIG DASH 😍Highly recommendPlease open a branch in Houston
HABIBI WALLAH great people always hook me up with dank food 🚺💂🏻♀️
A dessert place that never lets you down, and so many options! Awesome icecreams and kunafas, a must-try Turkish coffee. you must go there many times to get your heart content.
Amazing desserts and ice cream, amazing service and amazing people. 1000000% recommend!!!! Must try at least once
First time visiting this establishment and I was blown away by their customer service. The owners were very welcoming and explained their menu options to us. We decided to try the red crunchy kinafa, crepes and their stretchy coconut ice cream. I also purchased a some Baklava made in house which is to die for. I planned a evening out with friends and they all enjoyed the bigdash. I will definitely stop here next time Im in Richardson. Do yourself a favor and try it, you wont be disappointed.
Very unique ice cream shop with an interesting middle eastern twist. They have several flavors of ice cream and pastries such as baklava and others that I had never heard of. Counter workers were helpful and friendly.Definitely worth a try...keep an open mind as it isnt your typical ice cream.
Delicious, unique ice cream! I tried the blackberry and Arabic (rose and pistachio) flavours, and really enjoyed them. The ice cream has a really cool stretchy/whipped consistency which apparently is due to the inclusion of orchid flour! Definitely a unique experience, and the prices for the size of scoop are very reasonable!
I would have given them 5 stars for the taste of their Baklava. But, their poor service got them just 1. They made me wait while they were serving others that came in after me. Very disappointed.
Very good desserts. The Kunafa is good, the ice cream excellent, and the baklawa just fair. I would try to use better ingredients in the baklawa and less syrup. For the Kunafa, use a richer, better cream (ishta). As for the space and store, it doesn’t hurt to put a fan or two where people sit outside.
Order suppose to take 30 minBut it took about an hourOther than timing everything taste good and delicious
Best ice cream &pastry Ive ever had in the States! Wow you guys gonna try this wont regret! The family are soo sweet! The pretty girl got us to try each kind of ice cream lol. My favorite is the Arabic special n all the pastry with pistachio are amazing! Im sure I will come here more often. I fall in love with here 😌❤️
This is by far one of the best dessert places I have ever been to. They have all different kinds of pastries and desserts, their homemade ice cream is to die for. On top of it all their customer service is beyond amazing. I honestly don’t mind that I have to drive 40 minutes to get my dessert fix every time. So glad I found this hidden gem
The best place to make your girl happy and forgive you after you miss up 😂
Best homemade dessert in town! Sometime you can meet the owner greating you as well. We come here almost every 2 or 3 week for fresh baklava and ice cream!
Best middle eastern sweets spot in the DFW area! Try their knefeh and Arabic ice cream, you will not be disappointed!!
Price gouging. I dont tend to spend my money where Im not welcomed... My money spend good! I just paid $3 for a 12 oz. can of soda. You just lost my business.
Always fantastic. Best customer service and superior quality ice cream.
Truly a hidden gem of a place! The Arabic ice cream and large baklava selection make this little spot a treat not to miss out on. This was my first time going and I literally bought one of everything to get the full experience. The staff was super nice and accommodating. All my questions were answered with a smile and I felt genuinely welcomed there. Highly recommend giving them a shot!
This place is super popular for good reason! The sweets here hit the spot. We got the lotus, mango, and cotton candy house made ice cream and all of them tasted so smooth, unique, stretchy, and on the mark in terms of flavor. We also got the kunafa (a hot dessert made of shredded phyllo dough with this mozzarella type cheese underneath, cream on top, with lots of pistachios (you can get with or without or just ask for less) and a side of syrup that you must add or else it will taste savory. We were both surprised that it was almost as good as mine, which means its the best we have tasted at any outside establishment. There is definitely an authentic, everything is homemade feel to this place. The employees are warm, generous, and inviting. The place is small, yet everyone is happy, and so were we. We bookmarked this place as a favorite so we can come back whenever we are craving something special, sweet, and different.
Awesome place. Never disappoint you as far as dessert goes. Not too sugary like every other ice cream places in USA
Best Middle Eastern dessert establishment I have ever visited! Truth be told, its also the only one. However, there should be more, especially if they are anything like Bigdash. Their ice cream is fantastic. Their staff is so friendly and generous, too. They are very liberal with the distribution of their samples, ice cream and various cookies and pastries. I am from out of state and have now visited twice on two separate trips to Dallas. I would go to Bigdash every week if I lived in Dallas. In addition to their many flavors of ice cream, they have other pastries, including the Kinafa, which I highly recommend. Its nothing like Ive ever eaten before. Its a sweet and savory treat with cheese and sweet syrup and cream. You cant go wrong with anything at Bigdash. And if you cant decide once you get there, the staff will be happy to help you find something you like and maybe even sample a few ice cream flavors.
I Fell in love with Kunefe while living in Turkey. SO happy to have found Bigdash tonight! Amazing Food and VERY kind staff! I will be back OFTEN and will bring MANY friends!SHUKRAN!!
You’d best make a dash to Bigdash ASAP and often. Some of if not the best Mediterranean deserts in town with enough selection to try something new for a month. Like I suggest for friends – get the red (crispy) kinafa or brown (softer) kinafa and add ice cream. Also if you see this cup with yellow pudding and caramel on top? Do get that and tell me what that is! **Spacing inside can be limited
Food is amazing! They explained what every single thing on the menu was and gave me some recommendations... I’m a cheese lover and they just exceeded my expectations, ice cream is stretchy and tasty, baklava is great too, but the KINAFA is the main thing, I’ve never tasted anything like it... all in all... you gotta try it
Absolutely amazing ice cream and baklava! I love the fact that the ice cream wasn’t overly sweet but yet full of flavor. And the baklava was BEYOND good....I should’ve bought at least 3 dozen because I can’t stop eating them. And kudos to the staff - everyone was super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
Outstanding. Accidentally found Bigdash and thank you Jesus for showing me this place. Stopped in and tried their mango ice cream and I was blown away by the how delicious it was. The texture of the ice cream was different than anything I’ve had before. The owner said it was stretchy ice cream and was made the old fashion way. I was absolutely amazed at how good the flavor was and the texture reminded me a bit like Mochi which I just couldn’t get enough of.Besides the ice cream, they make fresh Kunafa here and it will change your life. It was my first time trying Kunafa and I was in awe at how amazing it was. The staff makes them to order and they come out fresh, hot and cheesy. It was out of this world. The owner and staff are extremely nice and friendly. They even give you free samples of cookies and ice cream as you wait in line. Bigdash is a hidden gem and I can’t give this place enough stars to save my life.
The best arabic sweets place in DFW, period. The knafeh is even better that what youll find in the middle east. Amazing people and service, always.
Great small place to get some dessert that is hard to find elsewhere. They also have ice cream. They renovated the inside and it looks much better. Staff is nice and helpful.
I ordered kunafa and Turkish tea. It was very tasty. I recomend this.
If you want to experience the Arabic sweet/dessert Bigdash is your only choice, it’s really made with love.
The lemon mint tasted like summer on a spoon. And the nutella..... omg that tastes like straight nutella, AMAZING.Came here with the fam and they loved it too.
Nice crepes..could make it better.. they were a little thick.
Oh man, this is the best knafa that i ever had in Dallas and US, you guys have to try it it’s amazing taste, i wish if they have Uber Eats or doordash or other apps for delivery but they don’t, hope they do it
Reallyyy good arabic booza. The other desserts also taste delicious.
This is a great late nite place. Friendly staff.
Walnut baklava tases really good.Persian tea and Turkish baklava are great matches😋
Really liked the Turkish coffee with the knafa and baklava.
Omg what superb customer service. Went in asking what was popular and what I should order. She pretty much said I could taste everything. As much as I wanted to i dont think i could have. The best part was the pancake like thing with cheese! Omg it was soooooo delicious. I would highly recommend you come try this place out. Dont get discouraged if u end up in a commercial warehouse looking district. Its definitely there.
Always great! Freshly made desserts and awesome service!
Always enjoy coming here for dessert. Staff are very friendly and service is very quick. My daughter loves their bubble gum ice cream. I usually get their red kinafa. It definitely takes me back to when I lived in Saudi Arabia for a year and brings back wonderful memories.
This place is legit. Its pretty small, but you walk in and are surrounded by delicious fresh pastries. The ice cream is so delicious, smooth, and stretchy that its definitely worth a try to differentiate from American ice cream. Very dense but worth throwing off a diet for a bite. The pastries and ice cream both had sweetness balanced by other savory flavors, which I love. Definitely coming back
Awesome ice cream and amazing desserts - especially Baklava and Kanafeh!
This is a great place to visit and eat ice cream. If you come to Dallas you have to try this place. Great family people with great tasting ice cream and its not just Middle Eastern its for everybody and they welcome all people.
Knefe = heaven on earth. Probably one of the best knefe Ive ever had! The buza was also amazing, so stretchy! Totally recommend it.
Yummy treats and delicious coffee!
The Best middle eastern treats shop in Texas.
The best traditional Damascus sweets and ice cream in USA ❤️
I love the stretchy ice cream. Marshmelloly goodness.
