The owner pours her heart and soul into this business; it’s quite evident in the quality of the products. I’ve seen many complain about the prices.. Fellow patrons, if you want cheap, go to the local corporate run donut shop. If you want true art, to support local and unique taste, go to the prickly hip! No, I don’t work there. I’m a huge advocate for small business and for getting what I pay for. I paid in the hundreds for a magical *custom* cake for my daughters birthday two years ago that she still talks about today! The attendees are were floored that a cake could be so pretty and taste so good. They were accustomed to pretty cakes tasting like bitter fondant. Not PH cakes! You pay more but for the quality, beauty, and taste! If you can get that at your normal run of the mill bakery, go ahead, but as for my family and I, we are 100% loyal to the PH!

Very quaint shop that sells cacti and espresso and desserts. We had the coffee, cookie and homemade apple pie pumpkin spice poptart. The poptart stole the show. We will be back.

Asked Jenni to make a cake for my sisters baby shower and I could not have imagined a better cake! It was so pretty no one wanted to cut into it. We finally did and it was SO GOOD. Besides this beauty, I usually stop in when Im in town to snag a few peace tarts before heading back to California and the staff are always so nice and happy. The vibes in the shop are like no other place in Mississippi.I highly recommend for any floral or bakery needs!

Ordered a special birthday cake for my wife and the experience was great and the final product was beautiful and DELICIOUS. Ordering a cake can be pricey, but there are pre-prepared cakes in store available to first-come.

We just ordered delivery from here! All I can think is amazeballs! I have to eat gluten free, and my cupcake was scrumptious! It’s hard to find a really amazing gluten free cupcake! It was like it melted in my mouth! I heard some music and I’m sure my mouth was throwing a party!My fiancée got the maple bacon donut! He hasn’t stopped dancing since he started eating! I follow your page on Facebook & I have mentioned your shop to my Co-Workers & today one of my co-workers was going to be near your store & she dropped by your store today got 6 count cupcakes & I had a strawberry one with cream cheese. It was absolutely delicious!! The cream cheese icing was perfect, the strawberry cake was moist & so full of flavor. I cant wait to come by for more delicious goodies in the future.

The Prickly Hippie did the flowers and flower crown for my wedding. I couldnt have been any happier with the results. Jenni was laid back and easy to work with in the planning process. She had such a great vision for what I described for our laid back wedding and the execution was perfect. PH was in the process of opening the store when we were planning and Jenni was still able to take time and answer questions for me. Not only are the flower and succulents great, but the coffee and sweets are something to brag on too. My favorite is the lavender latte and the stuffed cookie sandwiches. I appreciate the attention to detail PH provides in all of their products. It is a small business so that means personal service, which is totally worth it. I am one happy customer. Always get awesome treats for friends and family here. Jenni and her crew always have the best brownies, pop tarts, doughnuts, coffee, and plants. If you are in the area definitely stop by and pick up a few things.

I had to send them a message on Instagram and wait for them to get back to me over a week later. When they finally send me a message on my phone they tell me that they don’t have time to make my cake. If I could give them zero stars I would. It was rude and inconsiderate that they didn’t even offer me a replacement knowing that I only had 10 days left to order a cake. I was looking forward to the cake I had ordered on Instagram!!!

We love being able to run down the street for sweet treats and vegan and paleo items! When we get cake balls for our customers they always rave about them! Can’t recommend this lovely little shop enough. Truly the kindest staff and most inspiring space 💗

Checked out this place on a whim with my wife and we were pleased to find a hidden gem. Before you even walk through the door you are met with an array of a cacti and other flora. Once you actually walk in the door you are greeted by the aroma of flowers, oils, and coffee. The barista was very friendly and helpful while we tried to choose from the amazing assortment of pastries and treats. The atmosphere was very chill and welcoming and its safe to say we will be back in the future, hopefully when we have time to enjoy our coffee and treats in store.

The coziest coffee shop in the Jackson area. Definitely make sure to grab one of the homemade pop tarts and wash it down with one of the unique flavored lattes (personally, love the coconut flavored Island Dreamer). Also a great spot for ornately decorated cakes, flower arrangements, and a fun, quirky gift selection.

I absolutely love this little hippie chic cafe! The baked goods are so delicious! The floral designs are stunning and the wedding/birthday cakes are even more beautiful! The owner is so sweet and super talented. All of the staff are a delight to interact with! If you haven’t tried this place you must go by and check them out! I love shopping at local businesses!

This is my new favorite place! The Prickly Hippie makes the most beautiful cakes and pastries in possibly ALL of the south. They also did all my flowers for my recent wedding. Everyone talked about how beautiful and unique the arrangements were and they listened when I told them I wanted something that was earthy and natural. I still have the beautiful succulents in my living room so I can remember forever! I love the fact that they are a small, local business doing what they can to make the Mississippi a richer, more beautiful place. I cant wait to go in for another donut and latte!

I have dreams about the prickly pear lemonade. I could drink it literally 24/7. Such a unique flavor! Everything I have ever bought has been unique and delicious. The cakes are covetously GORGEOUS and the staff is SO friendly and helpful. I got my mom a lovely birthday gift their with their help. The cutest little arrangement and donut cake. I also love their gifts. They carry the best natural deodorant I have ever used and I am so glad I found it! My only regret is that I don’t live closer 😭😭😭

Their latte selection is AMAZING. They have the best and the most fresh tasty treats that appease any dietary factors! When you walk into the shop, you feel a sense of peace and happiness. And let’s not forget the owner— SHE IS AMAZING. She has always kept former clients happy and will forever be my go-to no matter what state I am working from!

My daughter and I love The Prickly Hippie. My daughter loves the donuts and prickly pear lemonade. My favorite are the homemade pop tarts. The coffee is delicious too. 🙂 We always feel welcome because the staff are friendly and kind. It’s nice to have an environment where young kids are welcome. We love the sitting area with kids’ books too!

I’ll be the hundredth person to rave about the baked goods - homemade pop-tarts, chocolate chip scones, cake balls - all hand made! As delicious as the baked goods are, my go-to purchase at prickly hippie always ends up being another plant, either for myself or as a gift. I do NOT have a green thumb, but that is thankfully not an issue because the owner is very knowledgeable, experienced, and attentive! Over the months since they opened, I’ve accumulated 8 plants! This place has so much to offer, and I never leave empty handed (or hungry)!

Cute little cafe, but I’m not sure what they want to be- I’ve been twice and gotten coffee that is fair, but not wonderful. You may like it if you don’t like it dark or bold coffee. I asked for dark roast and was told they don’t have, but they offer a very robust medium roast. So I got that with a tiny bit of cream because I prefer a darker roast. It tasted weak and watery. Not sure if she slipped with the cream or it’s just weak coffee. There are interesting cacti and other plants as well as candles and containers around, but I’m not clear if they’re for sale or just decor. i didn’t see any signage or prices in anything so I’ll assume it’s decor. They offer some pastry and even some keto baked goods. I hope they work in getting better coffee, because I could love this place.

This little shop is GOLDEN. Every employee is so joyful and sweet. Each specialty coffee drink is very unique and delicious (lavender honey latte is my fave.) I’ve come in several times, and each time I’m pleasantly surprised by how tasty and how high the quality is of the baked goods and drinks. The atmosphere of the store is so positive and inviting. It’s a great place to study or hang out with friends or come in to shop around for cute goodies. Plus they have free WiFi! 5/5 great experience!

Love love love this place! They’re so creative with the kinds of pastries and food they make, and they also sell handmade goods from local and international artists. Not to mention the incredibly cozy and beautiful atmosphere which make this shop so unique. Also, aside from coffee and tea, they make incredible lemonade!!

Walked in and there were 3 people in line. I stood there for 15 minutes before leaving, as the second person in line hadn’t even been able to place their entire order. Waiting 30 minutes to order a donut and coffee is unheard of to me. Thankfully i had paid for my cake online and got to just grab it and go. Would love to have tried their donuts and coffee, but unless you plan on spending over half an hour before you even place your order, i wouldn’t recommend wasting your time here.

Absolutely love the store! Cool concept and all her desserts are amazing. I’ve always liked Pop Tarts, but these are the best ever. Jenni does amazing work with food and flowers! She is a joy to work with!

I loved everything about my experience here. We ordered 2 cakes and they are beautiful. I decided to eat some other pastries and was instantly gratified. The service was great and the peoole were very polite. Highly reccomend you walk in and give em a try.

This place is FANTASTIC I called and needed a cake last minute and they were so willing to work with me! First let’s just talk about the actual presentation of the cake. FLAWLESS, it was so gorgeous! Taste, the taste of the cake did not disappoint. It was so delicious! (We got marble with buttercream) If you haven’t given this place a try I highly recommend it. The place has so much to offer. Even if donuts with toppings aren’t a your thing I highly recccomend there cake! But if donuts are your things the fruity pebble donut didn’t disappoint. They also had strawberry cupcakes on display that were good too! Give this place a try! Highly recommended and worth it!

Prickly Hippie is the best bakery in the area! They have the most delicious poptarts you will ever taste. They always have new flavors. My favorite so far is the lemon blueberry and the strawberry and peach. The coffee is local and some of the best Ive ever had. I drive 30 mins from my house every weekend just to stop by the PH! Such a cute place for a after dinner date as well. The staff is also very helpful and friendly!!!!

Super unique atmosphere and awesome cake designs for events. Try the pop tarts (especially the blueberry lemon) and you will never forget them!
