Kinda ridiculous that you have to bag your own groceries because you bring your own bags to save the planet. The check out person puts their hands all over the groceries you’ve just handled but can’t bag them into your grocery bag in fear of catching covid from your bag? Doesn’t make sense…Kinda silly to have to bag my own groceries when there’s a long line of people waiting to check out.The quality of fruit and vegetables has also decreased the past year or two. Many times I’ve come home to peaches that are rotten inside.
Medium sized store, the selection is not the very best but that’s probably size-related. Great cheeses and good wines at decent prices. The staff is helpful and polite. I enjoy that I can bring my Amazon returns here. Maybe not the best but definitely not the worst.
Man, this an amazing Whole Foods. They got all the items I need (Im vegan) and the customer service pretty solid. If you go early then the lines arent too crazy either.
They have a wide range of products. I really enjoy their bakery and fresh fruits, and their fresh meats are incredible.
I love this store! I also like the fact that they now take Amazon returns. Which causes me to spend more money. Especially since the blueberry vegan doughnuts are near that line. It is a pricey store, so I definitely dont do my grocery shopping here. I usually buy vegan food and snacks here. The vegan mac and cheese is my favorite!
They have what I need and the food here is very fresh especially their fruit salad it worth every penny.
Store was pretty crowded. They take Amazon returns here. Quick and easy.
Whole Paycheck is wholly too expensive. If I wasnt in a bind and in the middle of prepping dinner I never would of went there.I bought 1 fresh mackerel a gallon of milk and a small jar of fennel seeds,It cost me $31
Lots of great options, terrible prices. Love shopping their whole body section, the prices for their essential oils is actually pretty good, just not the food outside produce. All the food however is delicious and fresh.
Medium format, well stocked and clean as expected! We always enjoy shopping there!
You have to be careful when, what time you go here. Sometimes there are a lot of people.
Omg!!! their chantilly cake is out of this world delicious and fresh🎂😋
Great store, but not the greatest Whole Foods in the Chicagoland area. Needs a refresh and better space to sit and work. Also a coffee bar would be nice.
I went in for an Amazon return. It was super fast and easy. I am doing all of my Amazon returns this way now.
This is the place to go for all things Fresh and Organic. They say ‘You are what you eat’. As such it’s always best to be aware of what you choose to be. Basically, I can get just about anything that I’m looking for at this Whole Foods Market. I rely on most edibles and some hard to find “extras”. Because I keep a Mediterranean diet as a lifestyle this is the perfect place. Fresh fruits, vegetables, legumes, whole grains, some very lean white meat, and plenty of fresh water combined with regular exercise and I’m good to go. Very good in fact. If you want to reinvent yourself and feel at least 20 years younger then this is a great place to start. ( Of course discuss all this with a health care professional first. ) In any event, Whole Foods Market is a great one-stop for the health conscious.
When stopping at Whole Foods I keep in mind that their mission is quality and high standards. So I might spend a bit more money than other stores but having organic products and also helping organic growers build better products for us is what keeps bringing me back. I enjoy discovering new things around the store. I also enjoy their wine selection as well as the big selection of teas. Being healthy is my priority. will keep coming back.
The place is great. Its an old fashion country store like times past. Even the beautiful smell brings you back to times past for us ole folks. Go there, its nice.
My favorite place to shop. Average prices, really nice workers and owner. They all are very helpful and friendly. Fresh meats, this is where I get my meats from. Very convenient for me.
I was interested in essential oils and also wanted to experience Patchouli and bergamot. A very nice store associate showed me where the essential oils were and located the Patchouli for me.
This is my local Whole Foods Market and I’ve shopped here since the store opened. While I’ve grown accustomed to tight parking and navigating a market that clearly doesn’t have enough interior space (resulting in narrow aisles and promotional displays/end cap promos that create bottle necks), the store has really changed. The biggest changes are in produce/floral. On multiple occasions I’ve found some of the produce shelves nearly empty or sadly picked over. Initially I chalked it up to a busy weekend and manager who just misread demand. This now seems to be the exception rather than the rule. Once my go-to for floral, the options are now pre-packaged, after-thought bouquets similar to what you’d find at the mainstream market down the street. Lines are longer and cashiers don’t seem to have enough support. Some of the same staff is still on-site and the folks in the fish/meat/supplement departments are very helpful. Recent changes/upgrades to the prepared food area and “community space” are more shopper-friendly. However, placing the Amazon lockers and water sales machine in front of the windows at check-out is an eye-sore that reminds us there’s 10 pounds of store packed in a five pound bag in River Forest. I’m disappointed that the changes (which coincide with a corporate acquisition) have taken place.
Absolutely my favorite place to shop. Produce is always fresh. Staff is kind and attentive. Go and enjoy
Not the best WF in Chicago. Has less selection than other locations. Not the worst /smallest one either. Its just ok
My brother and I went to look at Whole Foods after Amazons purchase. Well it has been about 2 weeks since theyve been in charge. This location in, particular, provided us this shopping experience:-produce freshness/presentation (5/5)-family/child friendliness(4/5)- friendly staff (5/5)-helpful staff (5/5)- cleanliness (5/5)-layout/placement of products (3/5)-product variety (4/5)-parking (4/5)-carts/baskets (4/5)Their produce and plants/flowers were fresh and healthy. The amount of products and variety is a bit overwhelming, on some items. The store is cozy in comparison to other grocery stores but it is well lit. If you have never been to Whole Foods the products they carry are unique but if you are looking for common brands this would not be my first pick to go for that kind of stuff. They provide lots of food items that are gluten free, nitrate free and vegan.I have two boys (5 & 7 years old). Bringing them to Whole Foods, one on one, would be okay but together on my own more challenging. There are some items that are down low that could be knocked over or touched (plants and their personal items like clothes or bodywash etc). If you have a very touchy or impulsive kid then be cautious. Also the cozyness of this location plus their busy hours could be extremely stressful. I do not know if they have kid shopping carts. We had gone to the deli section and the delightful deli worker told us that at Whole Foods you are able to try whatever you like but of course ask first. That was in place before Whole Foods became part of the Amazon family. I tried the turkey meatballs and the curry chicken salad. Both items were amazing resulting in purchase of the items. Some changes, since Amazon, such as single prepackaged meals that were once available have now been discontinued. Apparently older folk enjoyed these quite a lot. Some of the regular sales have gone away but have been replaced with overall lower pricing. The location is in a strip mall and at times entering this area can be tedious considering that the only entrace from Harlem Ave can be accessed when southbound. There is other entrances from Lake St and on Nort Blvd. There is no covered parking but there is plenty available. Before we left one of the butchers had heard us talking about wanting to buy the chorizo but another day. Well the gentelman came up to us as we were looking at the seafood selection and handed us a generous amount of chorizo to take home and try. They have regular shopping carts and baskets but they are clean. Checking out was easy peasy and introduced us to these little unique chocolates they sell for sleeping, calming and energy. Long review but hopefully helpful.** overall pricing of products has noticeably decreased from 5%-33%
This place is not the same. They are always out of something. I had to order my vitamins on line. From Amazon. Really?!? They had an order in the back but couldn’t be bothered to look. Said- come back tomorrow?? Not!!Couldn’t find my yoghurt. Last time I got some it was already expired.I asked for suggestions on cheese to bring to a friends. The lady looked at me as if I was crazy. I picked my own.No special foods for Easter! I was bringing the appetizers and was looking for something fancy. Had to make it myself. And no lamb cakes!! Had to go to Lutz!I’m there every week at the same time and I order the same lunch meat cut thick. I know the players. They look at me every week as if I am asking for the moon. And when they cut it wrong, they still sneak in the stuff I didn’t want. They forget to put my cards and magazines in the bag. What gives??? I even asked them this time if they were closing.
The best Amazon return center
First time at this location. A nice selection of food items plus hot food. Friendly workers a plus.
Love their cakes, cheesecake, Tiramisu cake and the macaroons!
This location thus far has the best Vegan Pizza, very flavorful! Also they carry the Mock Chicken Salad I enjoy. I did have to wait in line outside before entering due to social distancing because this location is not a big store. Otherwise, I definitely will be returning for another slice of that Pizza!
Always have a pleasant experienceLove the fresh variety of productsSometimes a little high$$. Depends on the product👨👩👧👦👍
For the most part great customer service, food options and all that good stuff but PLEASE EXPAND THIS STORE!!! ITS WAY TOO SMALL especially when you compare it to other Whole Foods in the Chicagoland area and other suburbs nearby!! Ive been coming here since I was a child. I literally remember going with my mother when it seemed like it just this little club for a small group of organic shoppers...seemed like a best kept secret store to shop at. Now Im an adult and Ive seen how more customers have turned to eating more whole and organic and as a result the customer base for this location has grown tremendously since I was younger. About 5 yrs ago I heard a rumor that they were going to be expanding the store. I asked one of the workers and they did fact state that they would be working on expanding the store.. but as I said, that was about 5-6 yrs ago and as we can see NO EXPANSION has happened. I feel so cramped walking thru the store, walking through the aisles, the checkout lines are long and blocks the pathway so bad for ppl to get through. Lines can be backed into the food aisles. Its very narrow just about everywhere. I swear Im saying excuse me every 3 seconds because either someones in my way or Im in their way. I try not to have to bring my kids because of the narrow spaces throughout the whole store as its just too hard trying to navigate through with myself, alone. So you know how it is with a couple kids and a cart. A headache! Please please please make this store bigger! Should have happened ages ago.
Its a good grocery store, but it seems cramped in areas. The food is fresh and a little overpriced (although not as much as a few years ago). Surprisingly, they have a fair amount of different ethnic sauces and food. There are a ton of options for diets of every shape and size.
Love the area. Friendly, beautiful atmosphere
Has lost a couple stars just in the past few months. It feels like they are putting in more displays but at the same time not stocking sufficiently the displays already in place. There are more end caps, aisle displays, testing stations etc. but standard items are out of stock. I have read WF is trying a new stocking system to reduce waste which is good in theory, but if you cant gauge demand in advance for jalapenos and cod fish on a Sunday afternoon then you system is broken. This is no the first time we have experienced this. However, if they dont improve soon it may be one of the last if we have to make multiple stops to buy the items they are out of stock. The employees are still friendly and helpful and I want to clear this is an issue of management/corporate falling down. Finally, I found it a bit duplicitous that some items (Vega protein for example) are up to 1/3 cheaper ordering on Amazon and if you are Prime with free shipping. Why not have the same price in store?
Good food fast in and out
The selection of produce and products is ok, but they are going hard with the psychological marketing with classic tricks such as;2 for $1 -- when the price of each item is 50 centsBagged produce -- with no discount and each item could be bought separatelySale -- where there is no reduction in priceMore stickers -- where each sticker shows the same priceThis is ridiculous if you know about it, and frankly malicious if you dont. Go to Costco for better prices and the same quality of products, or Walmart if youre looking for good deals.
The staff is great. However, most fellow shoppers do not practice social distancing, much less proper etiquette in personal space.
Delicious fresh squeezed juices and sandwich fare... kinda pricey though...
This is my go-to for their cakes on special occasions. Very good salad bar and pizza for those quick on the go lunches. Everything else about this store is great
Love this location! Tarzan was amazing!! Its always great when a person knows their store and especially their area! He was extremely knowledgeable and it was especially appreciated!!
Awesome as usual. I mean, does anyone NOT lobe whole foods??
Whole Food have very nice food, and nice nuts bins
Store has cameras everywhere. I understand the security concept of business, but..... I have been to several whole foods stores, this is quite excessive. Space wise, I would love to at least find water without having to search for it. Sorry, I am not buying it!
The worst location I’ve been to after shopping at different locations all around the world for over a decade. The people who work here have the most hateful personalities I’ve ever encountered in any business. Part of it is the obvious stress of the role especially during a pandemic. Another part of it is that Whole Foods has recently started hiring more inexperienced individuals with immature, unhinged personalities more suited for UFC fights rather than front-facing roles. My tip is to order delivery or pick up so you don’t have to deal with the insanity. Better yet, I suggest skipping this location altogether and heading to Trader Joe’s, where the workers are more mature and professional.
Love their peanut butter machine honey roasted peanut butter is delicious and recommended
Great sushi, however the majority of the food is extremely expensive. cant really complain about the price as it is a hippy joint. Still worth the great taste.
Beautiful store, small. Veggies not so much and very expensive. Lots of fruit and desserts. Not very healthful of them. Plenty of Organic. DEFINITELY WHOLE PAYCHECK. Expect to pay up on everything...even Coleslaw...go figure.
I can find what I need and zip in and out. Employees are super helpful, lots of parking and the store is clean.
Cant stay in business much longer prices are to High.10:45am on Saturday an parking lot empty.
Good food good quality
Love this place. Smaller than most whole foods but still plenty of options
Me and mother shop at whole foods we love 💘 the huge selection of the vitamins and healthy choices if you care ❤ and love yourself. One cannot go wrong at whole foods.
We stop here every once in awhile for a few things... very good staff.
Love this location, easy access with great produce.
Ive been shopping in that store for so many years and never had problem,The service and staff are professional, kind and friendly,I highly recomend this store.
Very pleasant shopping experience... fresh food great selection a bit pricey though
I love going to the meat market section. They have Fred Flintstone size steaks there, and they taste unbelievable. Plus whole foods always have samples, except now cause of Covid..
My friend Cali works here. She loves her job and it keeps her active! Really nice selection too!!
Love whole foods great variety & great service
Rude staff, probably because theyre underpaid? Very limited selection of overpriced food. Half the store is new-age soaps and magic supplements. Ive only gone here in a pinch because I live so close. I can get organic produce and a good selection of international foods at Tonys without the WF price or attitude.
I love Whole Food Markets it has everything I need
FIRST OFF, WHEN I SHOWED MY ID TO BUY BEER, THE MANAGER TOLD ME TO TAKE OFF MY MASK. THAT IS NOT OKAY! This was about 20 minutes ago I shopped. I usually shop at the Villa Park/Elmhurst area location but decided to come here to try it since its closer to my house. Compared to that location this one is teeny tiny, super compact, and out of stock of regular items I buy, such as organic bananas, organic unsalted butter and Oberweiss organic whole milk. The prices are higher on some items, too, but I expected that. There is no area to return the shopping carts in the parking lot and you have to wait in the aisles to checkout, because they have about 40% of their lanes open. This causes shoppers an inconvenience, because they cant get through. There were also no baggers, which caused the lanes to move crazy slow. I wont be back to this location.
Such great service! I absolutely love their bakery department and the ease of ordering one of the vegan Chicago Diner cakes was phenomenal. Their staff was very helpful in this process and even notified me that the script icing would need to be on parchment paper as it is not vegan. I thought that is awesome, none of the other locations ever mentioned it. Thanks again to these awesome people! Thank you thank you!
Small but nice store
Expensive. Duh, right? But still. Expansive and not nearly the kind of vegan selection I was told to expect.
This is a nice Whole Foods for the convenience factor and location. It has the basics of what you need and a pretty decent hot and cold food bar. It is very small so unfortunately the selection tends to be small as well. It’s nice to have one close by but the options are definitely limited compared to the normal Whole Foods. Customer service is always good and now that Amazon bought them the sales can’t be beat.
My cashier was good, although he couldnt tell me why I had to pay cash for my tea while I was using my ebt card. Prices were expensive for qality items.
I prefer the whole roasted chickens from here than other places. May be a bit more money but they dont have all the junk and chemicals in them like other places do.
Often out of stock and say they are unable to procure the items although other supermarkets can. This just drives customers to other grocers who have a good stock.Workers at WF seem indifferent to the problem. Not great business practice!
Good selection of packaged greens. Prompt service at fish counter, very short wait at checkout.
Store is fine. staff is hit or miss
This is a great place for quality food and drink. The produce is always fresh. The staff is very helpful. I have always been satisfied.
Alkaline Water Refill Station for 99 cents/gallon
Whole Foods Market has everything I needed. I like the store and its employees. Everyone is always so nice and helpful.
A bit pricey for what it is, but solid quality.
There was a rude cashier named Sylvia, she doesnt speak or greet anyone not hispanic
Excellent customer service
Some items are very inexpensive and good quality.
Same old issues...
Can you be leave they cut a living wage, removed adequate healthcare, and decrease the quality of their choices.
Nice place to shop. Clean store. In and out no waiting. 👍🙂
Very organized, they have the originalYerva Mate! Love it!
Nice selection
Does not have charoset or prune butter :(
Its always a pleasure to visit this Whole Foods. This is my favorite go to spot for lunch.
I love.this store it has everything I need and more.
Everyone here goes above and beyond to assist you in all of your holistic and organic needs! Also, they are all very knowledgeable in what is sold here because they take classes and try the items! They are all so genuinely frendlly too! Also, I love the setup of this spot. Excellence is exhibited throughout the store and it has not disappeared after almost twenty years of me being a total customer! Thus, they continually improve and meet the high-bar standard!!
Expensive but great produces choices.
Not enough produce selection. Way too small for my taste.
We go here for the fresh fruits and vegetables. A bit pricey but worth it. I love the customer service. The guy in the vitamin section is the best. Very knowledgeable.
This store is always clean and very well stocked. Most of the staff is very helpful if you have questions about anything in the store. If not they point you out to someone who can help.
It seemed like a long line to get in, but it went fast. I think I waited maybe 5 minutes or so. Most everything is stocked now as well.
