They advertise their designer sunglasses with authentic Ray-Ban lenses, but when you get them they’ve put their own, cheap lenses in them. They are having ME pay $245 EXTRA to replace the lenses. False advertising at its finest. Also literally was told that I needed to leave because they were closing when I was looking at cases after purchasing three pairs of glasses

I had the best experience this morning with Dr. Kartesz and his staff. I had to call and schedule an emergency appointment due to getting something stuck in my eye. The receptionist was very sweet when I called and fit me in in a timely manner. She was quick to get all my info and get me in the system. All of the front desk staff were pleasant during the visit. Dr. Kartesz was very sweet and personable and assured me he’d get everything taken care of. He didn’t rush through my appointment, took his time and explained everything. He made it seem so quick and easy. I will definitely be returning for my future eye exams here.

One of the few practices in the valley that except my employers group vision coverage, and ive been disappointed every visit. Long hold times on the phone, they request to call you back when I have asked to schedule an appointment, and when i have just wanted to order contacts over the phone. They request insurance documents every visit, even if you were in the office the day before! There must be 15 copies of my ins. card floating around their office....The office hours are not blue-collar friendly either. Something is wrong with this establishment. Good luck.

Very pleased with my visit. had something stuck in my eye & they took care of me in a timely manner. everybody was professional & super friendly. doctor knew exactly what he was talking about & made it very easy for me to understand. no discomfort whatsoever. Would highly recommend & if need be this is the place ill go to for all my eye care & problems

Its kinda sad that disgruntled persons can leave negative reviews and of course the office is unable to reply true reasons due to HIPPA privacy. THERE are two sides to EVERY story but unfortunately it doesnt reflect in some of these reviews. No, I am no associated with ANY persons in this office, so I wasnt paid or coerced into saying something nice. Actually, I came here based on a pleasant referral. Boy am I glad. The truth is, this office is great. I have had nothing but extremely pleasant experiences. I see Dr. Woods and she has always been so nice. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences. Are there bumps in the road sometimes? Of course! There is not one single office or facility that is perfect. There is SO much that goes in to billing insurance, collecting co-payments, etc. If in doubt, give this office a try. Dont hesitate.

Worst experience ever made appointment for today got there was told couldnt be seen because I have a medical problem cant wear a mask was blamed on Governor mandate called and made a appointment with another office no problem is not a mandate problem theyre just usles cowards but if they can afford Porsche then they dont care about anything but money. I refuse to give my money to a bunch of in my Opinion a buntch of sheep 🐑 and cowards

First time I call for an appointment and Im on hold for 9 minutes. Done with them before I even get started. They obviously need management.

Find an ethical optometrist elsewhere!I have been a patient of this and the prior owner Dr Rappaport, since the early 1960s. I have always been pleased, but a recent experience has ruined that long time relationship. In fall of 2018 I went in for an exam and to order new glasses & frames. I gave them my vision care insurance card, had the exam, ordered new lenses & frames and discussed the cost. I was given a sheet with what my portion of the bill would be. I paid that, got my glasses in a week or so and was happy.Almost a year later I received a bill for an additional $155. The office manager said that the Dr had filed it with Medicare, not my vision insurance. I was not told that they were not filing it with my insurance company or that I was expected to pay more than the agreed upon price. I said that was not my problem if they misfiled it. I called my insurance company to discuss it. They said I should not have to pay that since the optometrist office misfiled it. I contacted the Drs office again and relayed what the insurance company had told me. The office manager said she would talk to the Dr about it. I heard nothing for about 4 months when I received another bill for the same amount. I called back. The office manager said Dr Kartesz would call me the first of the next week. Instead another employee called to say they would not reverse the charges. She would not allow me to talk to the Dr.This has been a wholly unsatisfactory mishandling of a loyal client.I will pay the bill, but I strongly advise others to seek vision care somewhere that has an ethical relationship with their patients.If you use them, you will not be able to trust the bill they give you. You may end up owing more than you are told and you may not even know it for a year!

Watch out if you go here. They will charge your insurance for all they can just to get more money. I was seen here in March. My medical insurance covers my exam at 100%. Always has. When Kartez billed my insurance they coded it as medically necessary to force my insurance to only pat a portion and I would have to pay a deductible. Not happening! They need to resubmit with the proper coding of annual preventative screening. I will not go back to them again. This is the second time Ive been hurt by them. Not going to get burned a third time.

I visited the Kartesz Eye Care for the first time, yesterday. I found the staff to be friendly, helpful and professional! My wait time was minimal. The atmosphere inviting. I chose this practice because they offer opti-mapping which I prefer over having my eyes dilapidated! I only have good things to say about my experience! I recommend the practice. Thank you Dr. Kartesz and staff!

Best experience Ive had at a doctors office hands down! They were so kind and fit me in at the end of a Friday afternoon

I got my 1st exam here in July 2020 I ordered new glasses on the 23rd of July and it took 5 weeks for them to come in. When I received the glasses they were blurry and I was told I just need to adjust to them after 2 days I realize that was having trouble seeing while I drove. I went back and they realized that the prescription was wrong. As of September 4th 2020 I still do not have glasses. Ive been told its because of COVID, or its because of backups at the lab, or because of waiting on parts at the lab. Has anybody else had this experience?

I needed new glasses and as a disabled veteran I would usually get them through the VA but this was an emergency. Kartesz Family Eye Care took me in and I felt lucky to get an appointment that day. Plus they were close to where I was living. The support staff were great. The male doctor who took me in looked like he probably spent more care and time at the gym as opposed to the office. He took me in and went too fast asking what was clear or not clear. He decided he was done and slapped a eye prescription at me. I told him another doctor suggested a test of my peripheral vision, not realizing that it was an additional charge to my medical not my vision insurance. He wasn’t there to do the test and I learned that to do it correctly you must tape an eye shut since the other eye would over compensate the eye being tested. After the test with prescription in hand I ordered new glasses and I am not sure the prescription is what it should be. I do not them at all.

Dr. Stewart is wonderful. She takes her time with you and ensures she is giving you the best care. The office staff is great. Extremely personable and very helpful!

Well I must say that this one of the most pleasant visit I have had ever! They took their time making sure my prescription was right me. I left seeing better and my contacts fit well! Also a very personable eye doctor!

I have been going to this fine eye clinic for years. They are punctual and caring. Dr. Allen always takes time to be sure I have the best care possible. The techs give good eyewear suggestions and dont have a problem if I need adjustments later.

Wonderful polite, professional staff. I was able to get in and out with an eye exam and glasses in a very short time. Will definitely continue to be a client.

This place is the worst place, if I can give them no star I would. I will never used them or recommend them to anyone, the communication is bad and to tap it they raises, if you are not white you have to pay the bill upfront, but if you are just pay it latter at the begging I thought its policy but found out its not . never again .

My previous review was deleted. Beware of the high stars with no comment. They are friends and/or family. I was given wrong prescription first appt. Had to come back and had to be reexamined. They over charged me and wouldnt fix it. Dr rushes through exams. Your wait will be long.

Very accommodating during this time of isolation. Thankful they took my contact order over the phone and shipped it directly to my house.

Went to a new eye doctor on Friday and he confirmed what I believed happened last time I saw Dr Kartesz. I saw Dr Kartesz in Sep 2010 and purchased new eyeglasses. My vision was fine but went for routine exam in Sep 2012. I somehow felt like my responses were being prompted during exam. He told me my prescription had changed and I needed new eyeglasses. I was shocked because I was not having problems with prescription I was wearing but felt pressured and ordered new glasses anyway. Optician told me it does not damage eyes to wear eyeglasses not per prescription. Experience made me not want to even see an eye doctor again until this past week. I have been wearing the eyeglasses from 2010 for past couple of years but took glasses from 2010 and 2012 with me to exam. And guess what!!! Dr said my exam showed my prescription is nearly identical to 2010 exam.and that the 2012 eyeglasses were way too strong. I would not even give 1 star except not possible to activate post option without marking stars

I love Dr. Neysa Allen! She has been my optometrist for years and I recommend her to all of my friends. She is very personal and thorough in her eye exams. The Kartesz Family Eye Care staff have always been friendly and helpful.

The doctors are good, but you need to work closely with staff to ensure you get the correct adjustment. NOTE: This facility honors their lens scratch and break warranty without question.

This place is terrible, dr Kartesz is only out for money and the staff was extremely rude to me about their own mistake. This place needs to just be shut down they don’t even deserve a 1 star rating. Medicaid has opened up a case with their fraud department over the false billing and the Medicaid representative themself said that they are the ones responsible for the false bill not me and they continue to send me bills and are threatening to send it to a collection agency, go ahead lol

The absolute WORST place to go! EXTREMELY unprofessional!!!!!! Take your business elsewhere or you will be extremely disappointed! This man shouldn’t even be in business!!!!

Staff is friendly but beware they will take your money! My insurance covers eye exam and 6 months worth of lenses. They make you do a retina photo for $30, ok I can pay that...then they tried to charge me for a contact fitting $60! Ive been wearing contacts for 15 years I dont need a fitting. I thought I found a good optometrist but they are just too greedy for me.

I had a Great Exam from my eye Doctor and my optician was good also.Prices were Standard but I believe that I will get what I asked for.i am now waiting for the Lab to make my glasses.It should be about 2 weeks.
