My new tundra SR5 looks great, handles beautifully, and offers plenty of amenities to make even the most mundane trip to the grocery store an experience, and long trips pleasurable.Car shopping is always something we kind of dread but this time around all our needs were met and surpassed. Came in for a Camry XSE listed on the website for around 25k. I called ahead of time to make sure it was still available and was assured it was. Ended up they never had it. I ended paying 36k for the one I didn’t even want in the first place. Totally getting screwed by their empty promises was my fault. Fast forward 10 months later I’m stuck waiting hours for a oil change I had an appointment for. Dealerships suck and this one definitely isn’t an exception. Oh and Alec Foster the one who sold us the car was absolutely terrible and to find out they promoted him to sales manager two months later 🙄🙄 if I didn’t have the free oil changes I’d never go back.

I spoke with someone earlier today to purchase a vehicle and was told it was available and would be receiving the purchase order shortly. Several hours later (6hr) the manager (Alec) called to tell me that the person I was dealing with was new (Ignacio) and he had to check on the availability. Meanwhile, Ignacio didn’t return texts or calls because he was working with a customer. It’s nice they would sell a vehicle that they said was mine. Extremely poor customer service.Edited to add: when the manager called me later, he actually stated that the owner’s daughter was currently in the vehicle as a demo. Then later via text said the vehicle was sold on Saturday. Typical untrustworthy car dealership who lies repeatedly and can’t even keep his lies straight. Another salesman I spoke to earlier in the day actually stated that he had heard my conversation with Ignacio as he sits next to Ignacio and not to worry he would get with me as soon as he was done with the customer he was working with. That he knew he was supposed to be sending the PO and would be sure to get it to me first thing in the morning. Alec (the manager) also tried to tell me that Ignacio had only been there a week and didn’t know what he was talking about nor could he write up any kind of PO for my credit union.

Sweet Davis was the associate that helped me with leaving in the vehicle I wanted. She was informative, provided great hospitality, & was attentive to any & all questions I had for her. She started off by bringing me some water as we discussed what my expectations were & what it was I was looking for. After some small talk, she got straight to the point & started walking me through the process & what not. One thing I appreciated was her telling me about the features the vehicle had, one of which included Apple CarPlay. She went & grabbed her own cable to demonstrate how Apple CarPlay worked, which was very nice of her! She also showed me safety features my vehicle had when driving, which was very helpful too.I recommend Davis for a “Sweet” experience when car shopping at Mike Shaw Toyota. They sold us a car (2021 Rav 4). That is all. Customer service is non-existent. Our sales woman Davis Sweet was consistently unavailable and unprofessional. After repeated failed attempts to get our plates and another copy of our key, we had to go above her head to the sales manager (Calvin) who seemed burdened and preoccupied. Though we’re paying customers and making them money, their service after the sell is beyond poor.I highly recommend Toyota vehicles, but will forever dissuade anyone from buying one here. We bought our 2021 4-Runner from Lupe at Autonation (in Corpus) and his follow up and follow thru eclipsed Mike Shaw Toyota/Calhallen.UPDATE: Calvin totally redeemed himself and made SURE we were satisfied with our experience.Side note, if you’re going to write a negative review make sure you’re off the property before you do. Because Calvin will find you. And make it right.

I bought a truck their and I shouldnt have. To start off the truck I wanted to look at wasnt even there. They had me waiting about an hour for a sales guy to bring it back. (They let him use it to go move a couch) Then they took forever to do anything. I was there everyday for 3 or 4 days. 2nd day of having the truck I had to have it towed in because it wouldnt start. Then on the 4th day they asked me for more money down because they waited to ask my bank about the payoff amount from my trade in....Smh...Mike Shaw does alot for veterans and I thank him for it. But, he needs better people working for him. Some are great and some get an attitude.

After a very negative experience with another dealer in town, I stopped by without my husband. I found a Highlander I liked, so I needed to take an extended test drive. I brought the vehicle back the next day and purchased it. Jerrett Helmick was courteous and thoughtful of my time through the entire process. He gave me a link to begin the paperwork so I wouldnt have to take as long in the building. He has even called back to check on how happy I am with the vehicle. It was raining on the date of purchase so here set up a time I can return to get it detailed.

The absolute worst experience Ive had in any type of sales transaction. My Dealers name was Jarrett and he tried to sale me a $16,500 2017 used Camry for $23,000. When I started doing the math in front of him he had absolutely no answer for me claiming its all finance making the numbers I wanted my payment $300 a month or less but he could not even do that claiming the best he could do was $360 even WITH a co signer. Needless to say I went with a different dealership and now own a $20,000 Accord with ny payments at $297 I WILL NOT recommend Mike Shaw Toyota to any family or friends.
