My review only reflects the staff and my wine purchase experiences from this store. Mick is extremely knowledgeable on wines. His selection is quite nice and plenty. If you see something you know and like, be sure to buy it otherwise you may not see it again. His stuff really moves unlike other retailers. Hes got the best pricing on wines period! My average wine purchases from him range from $50-$400. The staff is very friendly but some are not knowledgeable at all about wine so I usually ask to speak with Mick himself when Im there. Honestly, this is the only place you should shop at if youre looking for the best price and selection period!

I came in looking for a specific bottle that was not in stock at the time. Megan was able to help me find two other bottles from the same distillery that are phenomenal in their own right. I appreciate that she took the time to have a genuine conversation with me. It’s always fun to chat with folks that have a passion for the craft aspect of liquor!

My favorite go to place. What I truly appreciate about them is if you ask for a recommendation they ask if you are using it for a mix or sipping and also take into account what you are comfortable to spend without any judgement. I was recently looking to purchase a bottle of tequila for sipping but was not in my budget for a $100.00 plus bottle. The gentleman suggested a bottle he likes which was only about 30 bucks and I am totally sold on it and plan to make that one of my favorites. It is much better than many I have paid 50-60 bucks for in the past. I had never heard of it and would never had even thought of trying it, not to mention it was so high up on the shelf that i would not have been able to reach it. So no matter what your budget you can go in and get great advice, and as I said no judgement, and no salesman pressuring you. They are very kind and helpful.

Convenient location. Extensive variety of types and brands of wines. An employee was quick to assist me in getting to the right area of the store; especially since I was in a hurry.

One of the most extensive selections of craft and imported beers in the southeastern Michigan region! Pricing is about average to slightly above for some specialty beers, but again, youre far more likely to find that special brew here, saving the gas from driving around to find it. A wonderful wine and liquor selection is also offered for even the most discerning palette 😉

This place has a solid selection of Bourbon. When I go to Red Wagon, you have to ask if they have anything behind the counter because they like to limit the good stuff so that everybody has a chance to purchase the rare bottles and not hoard them or sell them for profit. I asked the woman (brunette) behind the counter if they had any rare bottles behind the counter and she snapped and said there is nothing behind the counter. I then asked if they would be receiving the Old Forester Birthday Bourbon. She snapped again and said that they will only be receiving three bottles and that they were spoken for. It was at that moment I realized that I was not welcome here anymore. To the woman who was unprofessional, if you dont like your job then quit. There is no reason to be mean because I am asking questions. I am sorry that I dont come into your store every week and buy a thousand dollars worth of alcohol. But you did do me a favor, I now spend my money somewhere else.

I wish they had a better selection of cold single beers. The staff is friendly. I pointed out they had some expired beers and they promptly took care of it. My beer was $2.42. I had two singles, a fifty, and a twenty and the cashier just took the two singles after I showed him all my money. Very nice of him !

I love that the liquor is out from behind the counter and you can take your time looking for the right bottle. No more feeling rushed to make a decision about a bottle that is 15 feet away from you behind a counter with an employee tapping their foot. It is smart marketing because I usually find something interesting that I wasnt planning on purchasing. Great selection (but I would like to see the gin selection rotated!)

This place has just about anything you want in liquor.

The staff always so polite and helpful. The store is super clean; and I see staff asking patrons to mask etc.

Great store love the variety of wines, even the person worked there help me pick out some bottles of wine, which was great, the young lady at the register was nice and bubbly, I asked her about a wine called Sweet Bitch and the look on her face but we both end up laughing because it is weird asking about something with that name but overall great experience.

GREAT selection, as per usual, but when I askedabout a particular fad or trendy wine, I was told why they dont sell them (which is COMPLETELY understandable), but someone who has a passion for wine (& perhaps wants to make a sale, not to mention practice good customer service) would have offered me some other options. Instead, after the reason for not selling them was given, the employee simply walked away.

I am starting to get into wine and have really, really enjoyed interacting with Mick and the staff here. Mick is extremely knowledgeable and SUPER helpful. He always has what Im looking for (when I learn about something new to try) and never hesitates to answer my endless questions and teach me something new. It is a truly wonderful experience each time I stop in.We also were able to go to one of the Friday night wine tasting events and had an absolutely lovely time. It was quaint, well organized, educational and delicious! Mick stayed completely on top of where we were in the tasting list and always explained the wines in a friendly and helpful way. We cant wait to go back for another tasting sometime soon!Thanks Mick and everyone else at Red Wagon, we are now loyal patrons.

We found plenty of rare items that you probably wouldnt find in most liquor stores. When I didnt see any Blantons, a staff member was able to fill me in as to why.

Theres a very impressive selections of beer, wine, and spirits here. Chances are theyll have what youre looking for or at the very least something youll like. A couple of the aisles are a bit on the narrow side and hard to navigate when theres lots of people around but Id consider that a small price to pay for what you get in return.

If you like interesting whiskey, red wine, or craft beer, then you should go here.In an older version of this review I said the wine guy wasn’t all that helpful and that couldn’t be further from the truth.Mick, the somm, is great and very open to sharing his knowledge of wine and the selection he has available.I wouldn’t go anywhere else if I was looking for an interesting bottle.

The liquor selection is excellent and one of my go-to locations for products that are harder to find in Michigan. Some of the items are priced at the state minimum; some are not. If you need help and assistance, theyre always ready and willing in the store or over the phone. I dont generally stock up on wine specifically, but Ive visited enough times to witness other customers receiving help with wine quality and pairing recommendations - and these guys/gals really seem to know their stuff.

Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. Id been searching for a liquor throughout the state for MONTHS and mentioned my frustration to them during my visit and they found it for me within two weeks (and at a very fair price). They have me as a customer for life now.

Its hilarious that I no longer drink alcohol. I go there for the non-alcoholic beer. Claussthaller from Germany. Same price as Odouls. Sooo much better flavor. Strong hops flavor in the dry hopped version. Yum

Selection is top notch, had an odd experience and the staffs tone of voice kind of turned us off. They wanted to check my fiance ID who didnt buy, a few months later we witnessed probably someone buying for underage and the cashier caught on and questioned the buyer, but not the underage female and said they couldnt check her ID because of state law. So confused, it wouldnt be an rememberable experience had their tone been better.

Good staff and large selection of wine and liquor

Ive been looking for these 2 beers for like 5 years (Raison DExtra and World Wide Stout). And when I was out this way today (30 minutes from my house), I popped in and they had both.

They have just about every wine and liquor you could ask for! Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Usually sell at Michigan state minimum price.
