Someone living on the 3rd floor which is where the photo was taken main door left open at night sometimes the day not climate controlled as we where sold on and best of all 3 months in they raised the price.I would avoid this place until the owner sorts out the staff and why someone is allowed to take up residence. I have been pulling out my valuable things probably gonna end up moving it all and it is a real shame.

Front door constantly stuck open!Result: NEITHER secure NOR environmentally controlled storage. They are charging me a premium for both. But for weeks on end, day and night, the front door is stuck open? This is unacceptable. I may have to move. I will certainly be inspecting my things and asking for partial refund.- John

UPDATE: the door has been fixed, and I have been in contact with the manager which is appreciated. Amending the review from 1/5 to 4/5.We originally rented from Beyond Self Storage and were very happy with it being climate controlled, clean, pleasantly smelling, and employed friendly staff. Now that it is owned by Public Storage it has gone down hill. The door has been “broken” for at least (if not longer) 3 months. It is no longer climate controlled, which is its appeal, and what customers pay for. We keep getting told that they are “working on the door” yet month after month they have no problem collecting payments for units that are not properly secure nor climate controlled. We will be escalating this. I hope they are aware that their insurance will be inundated with claims due to their own negligence.

By far the best chain as a storage facility.You never have to worry about rodents or mother nature ruining your goods.All of them are incredibly clean.Well worth paying a little extra to have your belongings stored at this establishment.

Excellent facility. Their RV spaces are wide and long and layout makes it easy to back in. We have a pontoon trailer that is 32 feet long and we had no trouble whatsoever. Bluetooth access from your phone makes gate access easy (EASYCODE). Would definitely recommend Beyond Self Storage.

Well, the facility is fine and the people that work there are fine, but here is the deal. Say you rent a unit on August 9, today. You will get a prorated charge for the remainder of the month. But guess what, say you VACATE a unit on Aug 9, as I did today. You would imagine to be fair they would return the money you already paid for the time the unit will be empty and they could rent it to someone else. Nope, not this place, they keep your money for the entire month. So Beyond Self Storage nails you on the way in (which I can understand) BUT nails you on the way OUT too.Update: The facility was nice enough to contact me to try to work something out. Dont know how to change the star rating though.

This is the third storage unit I’ve required in my lifetime and by far the best. Having the unit indoors was extremely convenient. I was concerned about not being able to drive directly to my unit but with the flatbeds it wasn’t even an issue. The facility is clean and well organized. The staff members are friendly and helpful. Hopefully I won’t need another unit but if I do this is where I will head.

I rented a storage unit from Cassidy very nice woman. It turned out I cancelled because the issues I was having with my new condo was cleared up. When I called themanager said I was npt eligible for a refund. When my credit card statement arrived a partial refund was there. Thank you public storage and I stro gly recommend if you need a storage unit you see Cassidy.

Smells amazing in here and storage units are clean, new, and friendky staff. Sometimes the people who store things dont have common courtesy like leaving space for others to enter/exit but that isnt the fault of the workers or the facility.

Great conditioned space storage. I love that you can drive into the space so weather has no effect on loading/unloading. Access via a phone app means not having to deal with keyboards to open the doors. They supply nice carts which are easy to use, no old beat-up wheels. We have a large unit and it has doors on both sides, improving access. We moved here from a competitor, better space, larger unit, less $/month.Highly recommended.

Best Storage facility in the area! The staff is great. The facility is enclosed, clean and well lit. There are carts to use and you can pull right in! Great for Michigan winters!

I used them for about 6 months. It was so convenient to drive in and drive out. Especially in the cold summer months you can stay toasty as you store your goods. Place is clean and staff is very polite and professional. Will be using you again the future.

So convenient and easy. They have carts, ample parking, lighting, and restrooms. Elevators are spacious and storage areas are clean and climate controlled. They also have specials regularly online. I would never choose anywhere else.

The lady who checked me in almost a year ago was outstanding. However, when I moved out of my unit today (11/2/2019) the man working behind the desk was rude. After we retrieved all of our items and attempted to get some sort of receipt. He stated, You were already charged for the month yesterday so you are all set. I can deal with company policy (although I paid $130 for two days) but I detest rude service. I asked for a receipt as proof that I moved out. He stated after you leave I will cancel the automatic payments. He said otherwise I would not be able to exit the facility because your code will be cancelled. That just cant be true!!! If you cant operate the gate from the desk, get up and put in your code so that we can leave. He was not going to budge from his chair. So now I will have to call them back tomorrow during business hours to make sure they have it in the system that I moved out. If I could give zero stars, I would!!!!!!!

Clean, well maintained climate-controlled facility with drive through bay to avoid bad weather conditions while loading/unloading. The employees are friendly and efficient as they do their best to assist you with any needs or concerns you might have. I recently downsized to a smaller unit. The paperwork was seamless, and the dolly I borrowed from the facility made my transfer so much easier than it would have been otherwise.

The facility is outstanding!Every customer service employee was very helpful and professional. They went out of their way to make sure I had every question and need meet.Thank you for making the last stop of this big move out of state to Michigan a very welcome experience.

I Never authorized Beyond to take out of my bank account payments. I paid for a unit from my debit card. Now Dec 1, I get a text from my bank that Beyond took out a payment. Now bouncing my acct. For my rent comes out of that acct. I was going to pay with different acct. They have now Cost me bank Fees, of overdraft plus a bad mark on my account. Very very miserable for I cant afford bounced fees

My experience with beyond self storage has been extremely positive. First, it’s great that you are able to drive inside the building with your car so you never have to worry about the weather when loading or unloading your unit. Additionally you can the pull up right next to the elevator so you’re carrying your stuff as little as possible. They have plenty of rolling carts available and the elevator is big enough for a king size mattress. All of this made moving in a breeze. The prices are great. The staff is friendly. Overall really happy with choosing them for my storage unit.

I love this facility! The only drawback is a really strong air fragrance unit that puts outrageous amounts of odor...apparently to cover up car fumes since this is a drive-in facility. I wear a med mask to deal with it (I got a major headache and could literally taste the stuff. Yuck). In nice weather the office staff said theyre willing to keep the large entrance door open if needed. The staff has no control over the air fragrance service, but said she would mention it to the decision makers. (?)This place is clean and well managed by a very friendly and helpful staff. Also reasonably priced (especially for how nice it is). Just keep med masks in your glove compartment!
