As an added bonus that I wasn’t expecting, she happens to be an interior decorator, and helped me select fabrics for the furniture and pillows that will match my living room carpet and walls. My sales person, Sheri Halpert, was extremely knowledgeable, not at all pushy and fun to work with. She is a firecracker! I went into York last week and I have nothing but great things to say about the saleswoman who helped me, Sherri. She was attentive and also patient with me as she let me lay on a few mattresses before I made my purchase. Also; Sandy (who worked in the back office) was wonderful. Both Sherri and Sandy even helped me reschedule my mattress delivery for earlier than originally planned. Both of these employees of York made my mattress buying experience a joy!

We had the pleasure of working with Sherrie. She was not the “typical” salesperson. She is down to earth and genuine and made the experience beyond enjoyable not pushy and very knowledgeable. I will choose to go back in the future because of Her and her excellent customer service!! If you go, ask for her and you will not be disappointed. And yes furniture there is American made.

Purchased a sectional and area rug at York furniture. From purchase to delivery I was very happy. The sales person suggested the area rug which I probably would not have purchased but for her suggestion that it looked so great with the sectional. So happy I did!. The delivery was seamless as they had to be careful as to not mark up the walls leading down to the basement where the sectional was going. I would highly recommend York Furniture.

My experience working with Larry Bell was wonderful! I had 2 dining room sets I was deciding between. After making my choice I went home and realized I felt like I was settling on a set that didn’t satisfy my family needs. After a sleepless night worrying that I would not be able to stop the order from the day before and purchase the original set that had everything I was looking for, I was grateful to find I purchased from a store that cared about their customers. I walked in the next day to plead my realization to Larry and he was so kind and understanding. He said, “you don’t even need to explain why, we will take care of you”! And that he did! I now have the dining room set that I envisioned for a long time on order and I am grateful to have found it at York Furniture and worked with Larry Bell!

We recently purchased a beautiful Lane recliner at York Furniture Gallery. We were helped by Sherri who was very knowledgeable and fun to work with. She took time with us and answered all our questions. Sherri made our buying experience a pleasure.

STOP DONT SHOP HERE! BUY SOMEWHERE ELSE!. I have been waiting since January 1st for my 2 piece I am am 50% there. They cant tell me when my other piece will be in They take no accountability for customer service after they get your money. To top it off, they just over charged the card that they help me get financing through. . They still billed me my full tax (on both pieces) and the sofa and them some extra which I can figure out the math on. Lets not mention that I have already paid a deposit which is no were accounted in those numbers. So they have 86% of my money. when they should have no more then 77% because I am still waiting on my other piece. If you want answer you have to stay on top of them, because getting a call back doesnt happen. THEY BEG FOR A REVIEW AND HERE IT IS!! SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND MONEY SHOP ELSEHWHERE.

If I could rate this a zero-star business, I would. Do yourself a favor: dont buy furniture from York, ever. We always do our best to support local, small retailers vs the big box brands, but this company simply doesnt deserve your money.Weve been waiting 19 weeks a piece of furniture and have experienced lie after lie about the the whereabouts of a single couch that we are spending $1800 on. As someone who works within an industry that purchases furniture for restaurants and retail establishments, I can tell you firsthand that their excuses dont match up to what is going on in the market at this point.They REFUSE to provide anywone with a refund despite breaking THEIR OWN TERMS within the contract. They literally laughed in our faces when we asked for our money back and to cancel production.At this point, our only recourse will be taking them to small claims court to get a refund on a product that they cant even prove is in production. Save yourself the headache. Buy literally anywhere but this place.

The last time I gave a review this bad was for a groomer we found out was abusing our dog, several years ago. Let that set the tone here.We ordered a kitchen table and chairs set a year ago. We realized after delivery that the table had not come with the leaf it was supposed to, which was the whole reason we bought the table (we thought when it was delivered that it was hidden inside of it). MONTHS of continuous reach-out has them finally bringing us a leaf, but it doesnt fit the table we bought. Im talking a solid 9+ months, longer than any shipping overseas should take even factoring in the massive shipping delays. They take the leaf that didnt fit back, and then proceeded to do nothing to rectify the issue.A few more months of constant asking for them to please deliver what weve paid for or at least give us some updates on shipping information, and weve given up.I can forgive shipping delays due to the pandemic, but the number of calls, the number of times someone answered the phone and said wed have to leave a message for the manager because they couldnt help us, the run around, and the absolute lack of communication... We have never gotten a single phone call from them in a year and have had to keep calling. Im done.I will never buy from here again, Ill be making sure where Im employed never uses these guys again, and Ill be sharing this horror story wherever I can so the same doesnt happen to you. I never burn bridges, but its a little difficult not to when its been rigged with over a years worth of dynamite.

Sherri Halpert was my designer during my recent visit . She was wonderful in every way...knowledgeable, honest, helpful, and entertaining. Her expertise and level of customer service guarantees that the next time I am in need of a furniture purchase, York will be my first stop.

10/10 would NOT recommend buying anything from this company.We ordered a couch in February and were told 8-10 weeks delivery even given COVID circumstances. Months went by and I called to check again. They then told me the production was slated for September, but they were able to push it up to early July for me. For the first two weeks of July I have been calling York asking for an update. Sometimes they tell me it is out of production and on the way, sometimes they tell me it has not been produced. They often blame delays on foam shortages and other times blame it on lack of truck drivers.We went in person on Monday and asked for an update and a call back with definitive information. By Wednesday they still had not called so I left a message. The same man I spoke with on Monday in person called me back because of my voicemail, not because we talked on Monday. He only then made the connection of who I was when he remembered part of my physical appearance at the store the other day.There is clearly no end in sight for us and I truly do not believe we will get our furniture. No one wants to take responsibility for even calling and figuring out the status of anything. They have hundreds of customers and are so busy getting back to everyone. You can find 1/2 of their customers already filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau.I wish I saw any of these similar reviews 6 months ago when we started shopping. Looks like this may be a new trend for their customer service and if I had known then what I know now I would have taken my money elsewhere.

We recently bought 2 couches from York Furniture and we were very happy with our experience. The first couch was in stock so we were super excited to get it delivered within a couple days. Kathleen has an amazing eye for style and Larry was helpful with the ordering process.

Yesterday I wrote the following (see below for the end of the story):We just could not believe that these people could be as unscrupulous as online reviews suggested. Now we believe! We chose a sofa we wanted and were assured by the salesperson (Jim) that there was one in the warehouse, still wrapped in plastic, that would be set aside for us. When we arrived to pick it up, we noticed that the floor model was missing. We asked the salesperson if they were giving us the floor model. Sherry assured that, no, she had sold the floor model, and that ours was ready to be loaded. When loaded, however, we saw that it was, indeed, the floor model still with the SALE price tag on it and the salespersons notes on the back. Sherry continued to insist that it could not be the floor model, even though it clearly was (and they were unwilling to knock anything off the price for taking the one from the floor). Finally, the owner appeared only to tell us that he had done us a favor by giving us the one off the floor. We could take it or leave it...and receive a credit. See other reviews for how bad these people are when it comes to credits--there was no offer to refund our money.That review was posted an hour after the pick-up. Less than 30 minutes later, York called to say that they had found our sofa in the warehouse (what a happy coincidence ;-) ) and offered to trade for the floor model...and they would appreciate my revising the review.End of story: We traded and the review has been revised.

We recently move into a new house and needed to update several rooms worth of furniture. The team at York were super helpful, not pushy at all and helped me choose the best furniture for our style and budget. Some pieces were available for delivery right away, but the custom fabric and sectional layout was worth the wait. We get compliments every time someone walks in the front door! Getting approved for financing was super easy and well be back when were ready to re-do the kids rooms and guest room.

I must say from the time we entered the York furniture store till we left I couldn’t have been more pleased with the great service I received. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The furniture is of great quality. Very pleased with choices I had and made the prices were an added bonus. Thanks to all at York Furniture.

They staff were friendly and helpful and attentive without being overbearing. Prices are reasonable, quality is second to none, with a lifetime warranty... hopefully we’ll not need to purchase furniture again anytime soon. However if we do, we will definitely go back to see Jim and the rest of the great people at the Henrietta store.

Okay, so here’s the gist. I’ve been everywhere searching for the perfect recliner sofa. TBH, I was clueless about quality. Isn’t a couch just a couch? Um...no. The salesperson at York Furniture Gallery helped me find the right sofa for an affordable price. I was happy with the service, the sofa is so comfy, and I am a happy customer.

Hurrah! A place you can buy American-made furniture! Great quality furniture (the kind you can keep for years and years), wonderful warranties, and plenty of fabric choices! And the prices are really not a while lot more expensive than they would be any place else. They also do all their own deliveries with their own people, and if theres a warranty problem they personally show up for it. Frankly, Id rather have good quality furniture and pay a little bit more and never have to worry about it ever again. The sales staff are friendly and helpful and its very refreshing all the service that they provide.The last place I went to look for furniture was fine, but you had only 2(!) color choices for any given couch - thats what happens when you get stuff from overseas. They also didnt talk about furniture warranties at all.If youre looking for furniture, go there first and you will soon see what a better choice this is than any place you might look at later.

Terrible place to work. The owner yells and screams constantly. Youre not getting decent service because they cant keep employees. For good reason.

Sherri is the most accommodating, knowledgeable salesperson!! She guided us to the best type of furniture and assisted us with the best color selections. When we had additional questions, she immediately called the company (ies) sale’s representatives to resolve our issues. We purchased sectional great room furniture, and she was very patient helping us choose the right size and correct “pieces.” York Furniture is very fortunate to have Sherri on their staff.

I cant even give it a one star. Ordered furniture in October and it is now approaching April and I do not have it. Kept getting excuses that it is due to COVID but other furniture stores are able to deliver even if it was custom made. Do not be fooled by this furniture store. It does not deliver.

We purchased furniture in mid September and paid in full. We were told that due to the pandemic, it would take 8-12 weeks for our furniture to be delivered. Those 12 weeks went by and we had not heard from York at all. When we called, we were told that the furniture was finishing production and would ship out the week of March 29th and would be delivered 10 days after. That date came and went, an no call from York. I called again on April 1st and spoke with Sandy. She told me that the furniture had not even been made as of yet, and that we should get shipment the week of May 5th. That date came and went and no call again form York. I called and asked to speak to the owner, Larry and was told that he wasnt in and that Sandy said it was better for me to speak to Larry to handle the situation. I then drove to the store to speak to Sandy who was very condescending and rude. I tried to explain to her the importance of customer service and how all it took was a simple phone call to keep us updated with any changes in the delivery. She said if she had to follow up with every customer, she would be making phone calls all day. When another sales associate tried to comment on my situation, Sandy turned to them and said dont speak. I demanded a phone call with a date and updates. Sandy did call and we were told the new completion date was May 10th and the furniture would ship on Monday May 17th and the reason this time the delivery was delayed because the entire truck was waiting for one of my pieces of furniture to be completed. York also told BBB that it was shipped on May 21st and we should expect delivery the following week. That date came and went, and I had to call York AGAIN for an update. The BBB contacted York again, and was told they could not give a firm delivery date. I finally called the manufacturer, who got me in contact with a local sales representative for the company and he was finally able to get me answers and a firm delivery date. We finally got our furniture 9 MONTHS after we ordered. Please be sure to read all reviews on this company before buying, unless you want to be treated by rude staff who like to point fingers and blame everyone. This was the WORST customer service experience I have ever had.

The following was sent to Lawrence Bell:I initially made a $1000 deposit on a couch with ottoman on November 14th 2020. At the time, the sales person Kathleen was told that I live in NYC. She was very friendly and pushed the sale of the warranty because I am an expecting mom of almost 2 boys (since my due date have not arrived yet). I asked if the warranty will be honored in NYC and she assured me that it would. Kathleen also assured me that my furniture will be quality and custom made from England. It was an easy sale and I ended up paying $2,153.52 to York Furniture Gallery and waited over 5 months to get my furniture.My furniture was picked up on April 22nd 2021, by a privately paid transporter which cost $500. When my furniture was delivered, I gave it a thorough scan and everything was fine.Then on May 26th, I noticed the thread opening on the seam of the ottoman. I immediately called York Furniture Gallery and sent pictures to Sherri. Sherri assured me that the opening is a manufacturer defect due to the seams not being sewn adequately. I then waited for an appointment for someone to come to my home and fix my couch. After many many weeks of waiting to hear back, Sherri told me that I will have to bring my furniture to a furniture store located in the Bronx. To make matter worse, the thread is opening at the seam on the Chaise as well.I am 38 weeks pregnant. I am a customer who spent well over $2000 for quality furniture. I am highly disappointed with this entire experience. The best thing to do is have someone come to my home to fix my furniture with York Furniture Gallery covering the bill or refund me the cost of the repairs if I am able to do so on my own.Please respond with a solution that does not include me going without a couch or me having to bear the brunt of paying over $2000 for a couch with holes.****** UPDATE...... Response to Sandi ********First and foremost when Kathleen tried to sell me a warranty, she told me that furnitire will be repaired in home. I have NEVER heard of a warranty for furniture or appliances or ANYTHING of this size having to leave the home for repair. Sandi, if you are willing to pay someone to deliver my couch from Brooklyn to the Bronx then you have almost created a solution to my problem.The second issue is the time I will be without a couch. I will be delivering my child in a few days. I did not pay you 2k to go another 6 months without a couch. Where do you suppose I will sit Sandi??DO BETTER!!!! Your business is a scam. Look at all of these NEGATIVE reviews on Facebook, Google and yelp. I should have done my research. I am reporting you to the FCC, BBB and my credit card company because I have worked very hard for my money and you sold me a defective piece of furniture and refuse to stand by your product and make it right. I found Larry to be extremely helpful, knowledgeable, personable and committed to his work. He spend a lot of quality time with myself and my friend. We were looking for a sofa and a bedroom set. Larry worked equally with us both and he sold us a couch and bedroom set. He was respectful of the perimeters we had set and was able to close both sales seamlessly.They have an equally incredible designer who initially got the ball rolling and left to attend to other customers who needed her. Depending on the quality of the furniture delivered and the delivery experience itself, I intend to shop there again. I urge you to stop by.

Great place to buy furniture!

Only giving 1 star because 0 stars is not an option. I have never had an experience like this in my life. The customer service here is horrendous. The sales associates look at you like a dollar sign. Putting their commission check before customer service. They were so nice and knowledgeable when we were purchasing but they were beyond rude and unprofessional once we had an issue. No one cares to take 1 second out of their sales pitch to mention all sales are final. When asked to cancel my order way before delivery I was told that all sales are final and he instructed me to a tiny insert on the back of the receipt. And stated, you signed it, you shouldnt have purchased items you cant afford, I asked to speak to a manager and I was told that the manager isnt here today and then hung up on me. I can called back an hour later and SURPRISE, the manager is here. The manager or owner (Larry) showed me why the associates dont have good customer service skills. Because the guy training them (Larry) does not care about customer service. I ask Larry to cancel my order and he begins to tell me that, Im getting my 2nd covid vaccine in 2 day. Sorry but I dont care. The worst part, the couches finally came in and theres stains on them because they decided to give me the floor model and not a new couch. When I called to speak to the manager (Larry) he still refused to help and was EXTREMELY rude to me and my wife. They way he spoke to us was pure DISGUSTING. I would never shop here again. And if you read this review and decide to still do business with them, your going to be sorry.

We walked in with a challenge and Kathleen was so patient and helpful even though it was the end of the day & weekend. They even called, and reached, their rep to clarify sizing on the pieces we were ordering to be sure of fit— clearly a sign of 360° of good relationships! We will be back and recommend them highly!

Sherri Halpert is an excellent salesperson. She was not pushy and let me look for a while. She is a fabulous decorator. She put together my whole house. Shes wonderful!! I would highly recommend her. She is very upfront and honest! I trust her opinion on everything.

The staff is aways pleasant and professional. They give you your space and let you look around. Kathy and Larry were very helpful. We furnished our living room furniture from here a couple years ago and have been very pleased with the furniture. The worst company ever. These people are con artist. They will do whatever they can to make a sale. Including, selling you a floor model with stains when you bought a brand new couch. And refusing to cancel the order because all sales are final no matter the outcome. These people give family owned businesses a bad name. This is why corporate America always wins. Buyer beware. They told us our furniture would arrive in one week and it’s 5 months later and we still do not have our couches. No one calls or keeps in contact to update the customer on their purchase. They took 1000$ as a deposit and have been holding our money with no ETA on the products!!! This company is a joke and they are rude when you call them.

Buyer Beware!!Extremely disappointed with York Furniture and their manager Lawerence (Larry) Bell. We purchased a sectional on February 7 2021. Larry indicated on the receipt it would be delivered in “10-12” weeks. We followed up in mid-April and were told we will see it the first week of May. Today another salesperson said, “I’m not sure why Larry quoted you 10-12 weeks, you will be lucky to see your couch by mid-September (30+ weeks)!”.After speaking with Larry he made it clear there are no refunds when we asked him to do the right thing. Essentially they can use any excuse to delay delivery as long as possible. They won’t cancel orders with their manufactures to avoid losing their commissions. Never once did York proactively contact us to tell us there would be a delay in our delivery, they waited until we called them to inquire.I’ve never experienced a local business with worst customer service and would never recommend my worst enemy to purchase from York Furniture after our experience.

Jim was extremely helpful and informative. We purchased a custom sectional and bedroom furniture. We had a hard time finding what we were looking for at other stores, but no trouble at York Furniture. The furniture is great quality too!

DO NOT GO HERE!!! SCAM BUSINESS!!! This business is the shadiest place Ive ever been to. My cousin and her significant other wanted to buy a couch and before they even did their credit check for financing, he said they would need to do a deposit. He took their card without telling them they would be running it. They signed without understanding and he never said it would be final sale, so even if their credit was denied, they would be able to keep the deposit. We went back after an hour of the sale and he said he couldnt cancel because he didnt know how to work the machine. I asked the woman(his wife apparently) and she said no as well. You will see the smirk gif of the man when she says that. She also said she knew him for 30 years and why would he lie for $2000 and talked about their finances like it was nothing to her. These people are scamming people left and right. Only found that out after THEY called the cops on us and THE OFFICERS themselves told us that YORK FURNITURE arent in good business. The owner will lie and say he is the manager or say he is just an employee and his wife is the designer, she wasnt wearing a ring. They have multiple lawsuits against them and some people havent even gotten their items and still have to pay because of the contract! For the record, he also said we could record them. ITS A TRAP!!! BE CAREFUL!!!

We recently had our couch delivered and love it thanks to Jim Locklin who assisted with the sale and Kathleen Vullo with the design choices. The quality is in line with the high end furniture stores but much more economical. Thank you for a very pleasant shopping experience and will be back.

I purchased a sofa from York 5 years ago and was ready for a refresh. When i decided to go out and look - i did not even consider going anywhere else. I love the quality and the look of Yorks furniture. Kathleen was great - very knowledgeable about every sofa and not pushy in any way. She is so knowledge of the all products it was refreshing. I feel as if i know what i am buying not just liking the way it looks and feels. She also listened to what i was looking and made suggestions making my second purchase a very peasant one! The salesman was very helpful, too bad the designer who never said her name ruined the sale for him. She intervened in our conversation all the while never asking what we wanted. We told her we were in search of a sectional when she said that she tries to talk people out of buying sectionals because no one uses the corner anyway. She said that a loveseat-sofa was best. We showed her a picture of our living room and she pointed out why we were wrong for wanting a sectional. We asked her what would happen if we bought the loveseat-sofa and it didnt fit properly. She put her hands together and said, Ive been in this business for 30 years, and Ive never had a complaint from anyone. Theres a first time for everything I suppose, although when we got home we looked at reviews and sure enough we found several mentioning her. In the middle of our discussion, we look up and she left. We went somewhere else and spent $2,000 there on a sectional that fits our needs and our room with space to spare, never coming back here.

The store is nice and the staff are nice too. The delivery was on time too. So no problems with the store itself.It’s the England brand sofas that are the problem. My sofa is just over a year old and the some of the cushions are firm and some are so soft it’s ridiculous. We honestly don’t use it that much. The stitching on the sofa is terrible too. There are places where it’s like foam blew out the stitches. Last the quality of the upholstery seems low quality, there’s a lot of wear for how little it’s been used. We do not have pets and we don’t smoke.The store is ok but be careful, they will tell you England is the best. I’d stick with flexsteel if you’re looking to spend what we spent on a sectional (approx $3,800). Honestly our old Ashley junk was better, in the sense that I knew that I got what I paid for.I haven’t contacted York. The sofa is just off warranty and furniture warranty’s don’t usually cover anything anyhow. Just be careful with England furniture.Also they threw in a free Jackson brand oversized chair. It’s junk too, so you might want to watch for that brand too.For some reason google won’t let me post more than one image, so I posted one pic to show the poor stitching. Too bad there’s no way to show how extreme the difference in firmness from cushion to cushion is. That’s really my main problem. I’m probably going to back and see if they can have England make me some cushions, I’ll pay for them, I just want the sectional to be comfortable.EDIT 3/12/19: Spoke with the store today and they are ordering me new cushion cores. There was zero hassle. Hopefully these work out - if they dont work out my opinion of England Furniture will not change but I can honestly say York has great customer service.

I pre-shopped and then brought my husband back, so I had the opportunity to work with both Kathleen and Larry. They were both SO helpful. They have extensive knowledge of furniture construction and textiles in the industry and how their pieces compare - and what that means to me as a consumer. No pressure, beautiful furniture in the store! Just fun!
