Caribou is absolutely my favorite. Never bitter any drink that is prepared how you want it hot cold or iced. Superior atmosphere to other coffee places. I love the happy, not elitist, workers. A little trivia question to make you feel smart. Always enough parking, speedy drive through. I wish these would come down to Tennessee.

Normally good service. This visit was a different cashier that I hadnt seen before. They had fuchsia hair, shaved on sides. I was purchasing coffee, a gift and a gift card. The first gift card would not except the credit. They made me put it back on the rack and pick a different gift card. Coffee was great (as usual). For some reason, the location is wrong on this post. They literally mess up an order every time I come here and I don’t even know why I’m even writing this because I should just stop going there, but for other customer’s sake, I hope they finally get a handle on their order processing.When I get an order that all the items are there, accurate and my hot coffee isn’t served to me cold. It is a pleasant surprise.Today, they gave me 2 sandwiches when I asked for one and if I hadn’t checked the bag they would have charged it to me, plus they didn’t get either of the sandwiches right.I don’t know if I even got refunded, but will promptly refute that charge because they charged me the whole order again.Literally worst caribou In rochester, mn, but unfortunately most convenient (inconvenient?) for me.0/10 don’t recommend.

I drive across town just for this Caribou...they are the absolute best!

This place seems to be hit or miss. With food orders they tend to be a little more on their game and usually are good at fixing any mistakes theyve made. At this location Ive got great coffee and quite a few times Ive got pretty poor coffee. Common trend is to get coffee and have coffee grounds in it, which if your like me - you dont realize until your 15 miles down the road on the way to work.

Stay away from this place as its the biggest ripoff. I just wanted a smoothie, figured maybe 5 bucks at the most for one. They charged 7 bucks plus tax! It wasnt even tasty and was in a very small cup. The prices are hard to read on the drive through window. Way way overpriced for Rochester and Im still feeling poor after going there.

Didn’t get any of the correct food I ordered. My coffee that I ordered was filled only half way? Not sure how that’s even possible to hand to a customer because it was so light to even pick up. Very upset by this location. Will not be returning.

As of this morning, I will no longer be a customer and I will no longer be recommending this place to others.I used to go here all the time for one of my go to breakfast items: A bacon, egg, and cheese on Sesame with 2 eggs. I would recommend the place to others who were looking to find a good breakfast.This is no longer the case.About a month ago, they changed their breakfast menu. Upon arrival this morning, I asked for my usual and was told that it only comes on a plain bagel, with one egg. I even offered to buy a sesame bagel separately if they would make the sandwich with it. A bagel store that doesnt let you choose your own bagel send absurd to me.If this were just a coffee shop that served limited prepackaged options, then fine. But you are Caribou and Einstein, Coffee and Bagels. You used to pride yourself on fresh cracked eggs with a choice of 1 or 2, and your wide selection of bagels. Why the sudden about face to very limited choice?To be fair, the staff here are excellent and I would give them 5 stars. Unfortunately, they now have to deal with disappointed customers, and they have not been told why the sudden change in direction. They have only been told that they can no longer make customised orders.Please go back to the way things were. Let people choose from the large selection of bagels. Almost every drive through food vendor lets you customize your order, and theyve done it for the last 30+ years because it was a good business model. If you will not, then please let your employees and customers know why you have changed your breakfast menu to be so strict.

The food has kind of gone down hill in the last few months. They got rid of the best menu item, The Kale and Brie Burrito. The breakfast sandwiches are really greasy even though the egg sandwich I got barely had any bacon on it (half a strip broken into tiny pieces). Wish they would bring back the kale and Brie!

Same as Craig Hogarth...wanted to order my breakfast sandwich with an asiago cheese bagel and was told I couldnt....Also - I went today to get a lunch sandwich (Turkey and provolone) and to my surprise it was heated up and very greasy..Perhaps I didnt read the item description but just took for granted that it would be a regular cold sandwich?? Also, I noticed that the price has gone up on all sandwiches and now instead of including a bag of chips they want $1.00 for the chips...I get that times are trying and a profit needs to be had, but upping the price and also charging extra for chips....seems somewhat obvious, especially when you cant even substitute your bagel.....just sayin..

Im going to give up on this location. This is the third time my order from the drive thru has been messed up. Once is understandable but three times now of not making a mocha with chocolate and not toasting a bagel is a bit much. It wasnt even busy.

The level of competency here is low, we order farmhouse breakfast sandwiches through the drive through and they wait until we get to the window and pay, only to say we don’t have the hash brown sandwiches what other bagel would you like. Had I known this I would have gotten something different. Not the brightest people working. Very disappointed, gonna go to Starbucks next time.

Cudos to everyone at this Einsteins branch. My sandwich looked like the one in the picture. It tasted the way it looked Grrreeeaaatttt. Coffee was spot on it enough cream and it was Muy Caliente. Everyone good job keep up the hard work especially in these troubling times.Chris Leek

Going through the drive thru on my bike is a whole new way to love Caribou, not that I needed a new way. Always friendly service and very welcoming.

The line in drivethru was a little long, but I do love the strawberry banana smoothies so its worth the wait

Hubby and I fell in love with the farmhouse sandwich when it first came out. Then they changed it to two eggs and less hashbrowns on top. Today it was served cold and not sliced in half. Add the fact that we have to sit in the car and eat. Not impressed.

The bagel sandwiches are always fresh. The staff is very nice, polite and hard working. I went through on a morning when they had some technical issues and the service was great anyway.

This place is usually busy for a reason, great menu, great service, and great friendly staff. I have never had an issue with this location and the sandwiches and coffee are 100% on point. Keep up the great work - doing the Caribou name a great service with this branch.

Just went through drive thru, terrible experience. No line, just us. Took 20 minutes. Lady asked for rewards and said we had a free drink and asked to use it, then she didn’t even take it off. Had to ask her to take the free drink off. Then she was saying well usually we have to know what drink to take off, well she should of asked that!!! Then she was saying how she had to delete everything and start over. Then start over and take it off! So much attitude that was not needed. Terrible worker.

I love the hazelnut vanilla coffee fresh brewed. Friendly service. Sunny area. Could use more attention on carpet/floors.

Always great every time we go there- which is about once a week. The staff is always very helpful and friendly, especially Allie who makes the best drinks. Love the variety of bagels and schmear to choose from. Never had a bad experience there.

Very delicious. The bagels are always soft and easy to eat, never hard and chewy like bagels can be. The service is always friendly and informative, even when teenagers or new staff members in training are working. The coffee is always good.The only down side is that this place is always busy. No matter what time of day, there is always a line. I hope they open another location in the area.

Every time I get a French toast bagel it tastes like it has seasoning from another savory bagel on it.

Consistently one of the worst restaurant/coffee experiences. Try it every month or two and finally have had enough. Cream and sugar added to coffee in drive thru is not mixed in and no stirrer offered. Food orders have been wrong more than 50% of the time I have gone. Wait times are always incredibly long. Will no longer go here.

Great coffee and bagels, relaxing atmosphere.

This is hands down the worst bagel place I’ve ever been to. The food is awesome, but i have been there five times and not once have they gotten my order of a single bagel with cheddar cheese correct. The staff is also totally out of it. I’ll ask them when they give me the bag if it’s toasted like i asked, they will assure me yes, it is, and thrn i open the bag and it’s cold. If they could ever get their act together, it would be a great place.

I like what they offer on the menu, however it seems Ive had more trouble getting what what I ordered in a timely fashion. The results of my order are inconsistent and, like today, somewhat of a surprise. I asked for a single cream cheese on the side, i expected they would put plain cream cheese in the bag since they never asked, and I got some mystery cream cheese. Its orange. At least they didnt charge me for it.

Good organic choices. Rich menu of combination bagels with hot&cold beverages and of course lots of coffee.

Terrible, terrible service. Got a caramel iced crafted press, took about 15 minutes (3rd person in line), and they made me a vanilla. Waited 10 minutes for somebody to notice the drink was still sitting there (wasnt sure if it was for me and made wrong or somebody elses). After I asked them to fix it, they made another vanilla crafted press. Asked another time to fix it, the girl went around the corner, looked at me, went around another corner, came back almost immediately and said it was my caramel crafted press. Was still vanilla and Im almost positive she spit in it after going around the corner where I couldnt see. Have never had any barista make me a coffee where I was not able to see it. Thoroughly disappointed in this location.

I live up in the Twin Cities MN area so Ive been to literally a hundred different Caribous - and the 2-star is based on comparing it to other places Ive been to in the past. We ordered 2 milk chocolate mochas at 9:30am and we both agreed that they literally taste like hot milk chocolate! Theres not even the slightest hint of coffee - perhaps the barista split the shots of espresso into the 2 cups and then topped the rest with frothed milk to save time from having to make 2 separate mochas? The staff is also not customer-friendly oriented - I said thank you 3 separate times (cashier, barista, and bagel person) and not one of them acknowledge me back by smiling, saying youre welcome, or have a good day! On a side note, the Einstein bagel is mediocre as usual (stiff on the outside and over-baked).

Very slow service and appear to be understaffed for the expected weekend rush. Order ahead option clearly not of concern to them. Ordered at 10:00 for 10:20 pickup and did not receive items until 10:27. Also, no organization with handing out orders like calling out names with orders. Will go with Lumen Coffee from here on out.

Got to the river center location. Waited at the counter for 10 minutes while 3 staff served drive in customers. They walked past me several times never greeting me or even making eye contact. I went to buggers around the corner and was greeted and ordered immediately. Speaking to employees at hr block afterwards, they have had similar experiences there and dont stop there.Please turn this place back onto a parking lot.

Caribou Coffee is a pretty good place to go, I prefer their brew to most others. I go to this place regularly and enjoy going here. This is a frequent coffee shop of mine. It has contemporary decore with a very relaxed casual feel. The chairs are comfortable and the staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, I cant give it 5 stars since I am unable to connect to their WiFi with my laptop as of the writing of this. and I can connect to my personal hot spot and used to be able to connect to their Network just a week ago. Its a problem again, it was fixed but I got the access I needed anyway. I guess I should thank them for trying to protect me from their Network or something. 8)

The coffee and bagels are delicious, but the espresso machines are too noisy for conversation. I would also suggest installing a fireplace that produces heat instead of just light.

Quick service but I ordered a pair of bagel chicken and egg breakfast sandwiches that got burnt. Edible but hardly what you should expect. Further Id pulled ahead to soon so I didnt get all of my order. I walked in and saw a tumbler glass for sale. The cashier looked actively upset at the prospect of me buying something while awaiting the rest of my order. The item wouldnt scan so his response was well maybe you can come back another time. Its a one off experience as Ive had good experiences in the past but this one rubbed me the wrong way

Delicious coffee

Decent lattes, just a bit too sweet to be my top pick. If you like mochas, the dark chocolate version is pretty strong and covers the sugar.

This Caribou is not my preferred Rochester location - I do not find most of the staff as friendly as other locations and have had several ordering errors here. Most recently, coffee or espresso keeps being added to hot chocolate orders - I don’t know if whoever is making the drinks is confusing bottles or what.

When they first opened the service was great, fast and friendly. But recently Ive waited more and more, when theres no customers waiting inside and I have to wait 20 min at the drive thru is a little ridiculous! The people serving at the window sometimes barely say hi snd have a nice day. I used to go there because of the service but now not so much. My bagels also recently have either had barely any cream cheese or lots of it and sometimes are barely warm when I ask for them toasted.

If I was rating on food quality alone it would be 4.5 stars, but since their service is terrible the rating must also be terrible. Its a true sign of poor service when you order 2 simple bagels, and people who order complicated sandwiches after you are served 1st. If you want good food and dont care about service this is a place for you.

The first sandwich I ordered here was a turkey sandwich on a bagel. It took about 15 minutes in the drive-thru and when I drove off and took my first bite, it had the plastic/paper lining still on the slice of cheese. Okay, it could have just been a fluke and people make mistakes when theyre hurrying. BUT after about a month I tried again .... This time I waited a long time again in the drive-thru (there was no one in front of me) and whats worse is after taking the first bite... I realized the turkey sandwich had rotten brown slimy lettuce on the sandwich. Not just a little piece, ALL of it was disgusting and rotten. So someone actually made that sandwich with that lettuce deliberately??... I will never return here, which is a shame since its so close to my workplace and would have been convenient for lunch. Its expensive for what you get: garbage.

Caribou Coffee & Einstein Bagels; a little bit of SoHo life in the middle of Rochesters rapidly developing North side. The food here is decent, but I tend to primarily come for the coffee and the atmosphere; its a nice break away from the noise of the house, or the distractions of the office and plant when I can visit.

Recommend avoiding this location.

Always a nice place to have a cup of coffee and bagels and enjoy the atmosphere when hanging out with family and friends. Cozy and big enough to not feel too small.

Came here for a Sunday lunch. Ordered with sandwiches and a kids smoothie which were great. Ordered a DECAF mocha and made sure with the cashier they heard us. Also double checked with barista when they handed us the drink that it was decaf. My wife and I cant have caffeinated coffee for medical reasons. After taking a few sips and then looking at the receipt I realized it was NOT decaf. This after we verified with them 2x at 2 separate places.... be very careful if you have ANY food allergy ordering here!
