Unfortunately The customer experience received from the ownership in this location caused me to take my business elsewhere after being a long time customer with Sterling for over 12 years. The owner “Jolene” actually told her staff member that she was too busy to talk to me when she was literally 6 feet away from me. My wife and I made back to back appointments for 1/2 hour each and have very busy schedules. While waiting they scheduled another appointment between us. When I asked the Doctor why that was done she indicated that it is the owner’s scheduling policy. Clearly the time of their patients is if no importance to the owner.

The service I received was absolutely horrible. There were 5 staff on and no one asked me any covid questions and I got no assistance with picking out any frames. The Dr. was great but the other staff was horrible. I had to tell her I was ready after standing in front of her 5 min. No print out of my purchase just my receipt. They didnt even bother to ask me do I need any help. The only reason I purchased my frames was due to the brand not many carry.

I went in to repair my eyeglasses. They were simply misaligned, all that was needed was to tighten the screws around the rim. They ended up completely breaking the frame.

This is the worst optical franchise. The worst customer service ever with your empty waiting room and youre disgustingly offensive Halloween knick knacks that are offensive your employees are extremely rude and very ugly demeanor enough so that I will take you to court and I will sue you for the incident that ensued today your employee came outside without a mask with a bottle of Windex or some sort of thing while I was asked to leave I want to call from your owner of the franchisee rather or Im going to call and get in touch verbally and in writing to the corporate office and Im going to sue you for everything and more

Went to Sterling Optical in Pittsford years ago, Michelle still works for them-she is very thorough, customer-oriented, friendly, and helpful, and always smiling.

Id avoid them but i was obligated after i put money down for contacts. I paid for half now half later but with how they treated me i said i didnt want to come back. She says either comback and pay the second half or take my downpayment and get 10% store credit. Im forced to come back. I arrive to my appt only to b told the doctor was out sick and i had to reschedule. Claims they tried to call me. Reschedule. Got to come back to pick up my contacts. Website and internet says store hours are open until 7. I get there they were closed at 6. I call and a rude lady named michelle told me its my fault i wasted maybe time maybe if i was smarted id call ahead. I dont even want to walk back in to get my things. Im disgusted

Staff was very rude. All the glasses are behind a case so you cannot try anything on without assistance. She helped me for a couple minutes before the phone rang. She was the only person in the store so I know she has to answer the phone but after dealing with that, she helped the next person who walked in and completely ignored me. I tried on two pairs of glasses, clearly they do not care about obtaining new customers.

The staff here have a kind and friendly attitude and they cleaned and repaired my glasses for free!
