I recently added a line and a brand new phone for my mother on my phone plan. I live in a different state so, at the recommendation of my ATT Store, I had a temporary phone number put on the new phone and then shipped to my mom. I was told to have my mom bring her phone to a local store (this store) to have her old phone number ported to her new phone and get her contacts transferred. I called ahead to this store to make sure someone could help my mom with this. The girl I spoke to told me *I* shouldn’t have put a temporary phone number on the new phone and that no one at this store could help my mother because porting a phone number is impossible. I told her it’s not impossible, because I had my phone set up this exact way and it worked perfectly fine. After her arguing with me on this, she finally told me there is an ATT number I can call to have them port my mom’s old number. She hung up without giving me that ATT number. I don’t know why the ATT rep couldn’t have offered to sit with my mother and call the ATT porting number with her. So I just bought an $800 phone from ATT and when I asked for this store to help my mom set it up, I was basically told “I won’t help you, and I don’t care, go figure it out yourself.” 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I ordered my phone online & choose the 2hr store pickup for delivery. In about 90min I got the email that it was ready & clear directions about what I needed to do to have my husband pick it up. I had only asked my husband to just pick up the phone, but the salesperson offered to get the transfer started for us. Even though it was closing time, Zeek took his time got everything set up for us. Since buying a new phone can sometimes be as frustrating as buying a car, the last thing I expected to hear out of my husbands mouth when he walked through the door, was what a great experience he had & that we needed to call the manager & let him know what a wonderful job Zeek had done! Will definitely come back!
Awesome service. Zeek was extremely helpful, even staying past closing to help transfer contacts from my wifes old phone to the new one.
Staff was very friendly and informative. Im not a tech person but Anne was able to explain it in a way that I understood and tried every option to get me the best plan!

Mom and I went there to switch from Sprint and it was awesome!! We were greeted warmly when we came in. Very professional but personable at the same time. Helped us save a nice chunk of money. Went back to get the numbers changed the next day and got the same treatment. Excellent service and people. Definitely recommend.
I needed to get my access door to my sim and SD card slots open to swap out a SD card. I went in and the guy at the service desk had one in his drawer. Got it right open and swapped cards.
Sales rep was very energetic and helpful, probably because of the coffee she just had but very pleasant... 😊

Zeke was our rep and he was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and helpful and courteous. He was able to switch us from Verizon with new phones for less money and WAY better service. Couldnt be happier.
Zeke was efficient with getting my new iPhone 12 set up. Joel the manager checked in with us to make sure all was going smoothly. The store was following COVID safety protocols to a T and I felt 100% comfortable.
Both Anne and Betty were both amazing with knowledge and expertise in helping me get a new iPhone. I had spent hours and hours with AT and T people by phone that for two weeks kept messing up I was about to give up till I came to the store and was able to finally zip easily right through the process.

I had been getting the runaround for months and months trying to reconcile a promotion that we were offered. We got our new phones at an authorized retailer at a different location.I went to the State Street store and the young lady who was managing the store listened to me patiently as I expressed months of frustration. She did what no one else could do in six months and cleared it up. After visiting this store, my situation was resolved over the weekend.Highly recommend this store.
They over charged me and said They made a mistake then said they would just take it off my bill and no they are charging me more and (don’t know what happened )
Betty was amazing! She was so helpful and had all the right answers. Her personality made her feel like we were dealing with an old friend! Thats important! She wasnt trying to sell us on anything. Just helped us get what we needed. Whomever reads these from corporate give her a raise she deserves it!
Waited 1 hour only 1 couple ahead of me. Only time other staff came out from back, was to take names of people that had walked in, then back again.behind the walls. Only had 1 girl working in front. If you go to that store, plan on a long time. This has happened, EVERYTIME I have went there. Even when I go when they first open up, or go late, either way is the same. Girl that waited on me, when we were nearly done, another girl came out, and said everything was wrong, so we would have to start all over again, or i just could pay full price, $1299.00, plus supplies that went with it. If you have a lot of time on your hands, this is the place to go. I know any cellphone place, might be the same. They all think, this is the only thing you have to do ALL DAY !!!

The At&t Rockford store agent was helpful and courteous, only bad thing is there should be able to call and assistance over the phone. Making someone dive to a service location is not smart in times of Covid. Help should be available over the phone.

Was greeted very nicely by the gentleman upon entrance. The young lady that “assisted” us gave us very rude looks and hardly helped us in any way. When asked about promotions she only told us about one when we were well aware of others going on. It’s seemed as though she wanted us out of the store as soon as possible. My brother and I exited the store because we no longer wanted to be treated in such a way.
Top shelf customer service. Betty was extremely polite, helpful and accommodating to resolve my issue. I was expecting a long wait due to circumstances. Betty asked me the reason for my visit and instructed me very clearly as to how we could resolve the issue without enduring a long wait. Great job Rockford AT&T Store. I will be back!

I was greeted immediately and invited to sit, then attended about 2 minutes later. I didnt think to get the mans name, but he was kind and friendly and resolved my problem quickly. He also asked if I had other questions, and showed me a couple of helpful shortcuts. Im delighted with the service and the pleasant experience.

I walked in during the lunch break and Ms Betty the Manager assisted me. There had been a previous issue that could not be resolved on the phone or online because it happened in the store and get this more than a year ago. Betty looked for several minutes and found the documentation and receipt. Made the correct adjustments and then when I told her my 84 year old mother wanted to receive calls on her tablet she gave me a solution for that; that not only (did not cost me anything), but saved me 400$ per year. Betty was patient with me for an hour and still managed to run the rest of the store while preserving my felling of Customer priority.I am old enough to be her grandfather andNever once perceived anything except respect and patience. She knows how to manage her store. Her team respects and responds to her gladly. If you are looking for an AT&T phone store in Rockford Illinois.Go see Ms Betty on East State she is amazing.
We had a very great employee working with us for over 3 hours. She got us in right away, answered all of the questions we had, ensured we got the best deals, was patient, and you called tell she really cared about the customer. My only complaint would be that they didnt have the phone I wanted in stock, so I had to order it there and they are sending it to me. It would have been nice if we could have both walked away with two new phones at the end of the day. But other than that- it was great.

Just got my new phone set up at the store. Anne did terrific work. She is gem to work with.
We went in on OCT. 7th to add our son back to our account. They were unable to complete the task but never mentioned that the phone line would be in some sort of limbo.. We were told the following Thursday Oct.15th a particular phone would be released. One Sunday the 18th my husband and son returned *1. The said phone was not released *2. After verifying more than twice they didnt let my husband make changes on the account *3. They would not give my sonr the promotion because the the screw up they made on the 7th.. and to top it all off when I when back in on the 18th after my husband had already taken our son once they had the freaking nerve to be like oh, its him again when they recognized our son. Seriously what kind of customer service is that especially after it was thier mess up!!! And all of that was just to start. I am completely unsatisfied with the service and absolutely nothing was done to make it right.. After 20 plus years its Definitely time to start looking at Verizon. SMH

I have been with AT&T both business and personal and mobile for well over 25 years I have visited multiple stores in the area and have found that this store consistently has a friendly and knowledgeable staff who always solve the issues that often other stores cannot even come close to I will continue to be with AT&T as long as stores and personnel can meet the expertise of all of the employees of the specific location
The Rockford retail store is excellent! The manager Nicole is super helpful and goes out of her way to try to resolve issues. All of the representatives are knowledgeable and friendly.

Needed a full renaming of all accounts - wireless, DirecTv, landline due to recent death in the family I needed this to be put in my name. I had the necessary paper work. Both the manager Josh and tech specialist (Beatrice?) Were beyond helpful. Quite simply they just got it done. Ive been a Verizon customer for as long as I can remember. The customer service at this At&t store location far exceeds anything Ive ever experienced with media providers. Great...GREAT service!

I did not have an appointment however I wanted to buy a new phone. They were courteous and helpful. The representative who sold me the phone took the time to transfer all my old contacts and pictures onto my new phone. He also showed me the main apps that I needed for my new phone.

Thinking about switching phones to a new carrier. Staff disarray wanted to show me the options, I had to press him for any details. Had to really press him for pricing and plan options. Very poor representation. Only shows me the cheapest phones they have. Oh, it has a camera, this is better, it has a processor, that one is better, but the phone is $800.00. Sorry I came here, wont be back.

Service was actually quicker than I have ever experienced. I ordered a phone and person helping me said I should have it within 2 business days. Confirmation email of phone I ordered states April 9th thru the 12th. So was disappointed in that.

I asked to add a line for a promo and was told by 3 reps that I did not need to for 50% off of the Samsung Galaxy S9 promo. I did not beleive them and asked to add a line with 3 reps. Did the upgrade and dis not get the promo. Then, when I realized it. They told me that I ordered online and could not help. I upgraded there!!!! They refused to help and it cost me 147 hours with retentions with no help and I hate ATT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They even showed me a fake paper showing that I ordered online. I have never ordered anything online with them in my life. Worst fraud place ever!

I was here roughly 2 years ago, before moving, to switch from Verizon with my father. Though we waited a little longer than anticipated, the staff was friendly. They told us about a great deal that involved a free Samsung galaxy s7 phone. Multiple times we iterated we wanted to keep our current phones, but the reps kept saying one of us should get the free phone because it was a free phone and we could get credit on top of that for the trade in.So trusting them, we caved in and traded in my fathers phone so he could get the new free phone. It went smoothly and the credit was supposedly applied to some up front charge they explained to us. I asked multiple times snd the rep reiterated this phone was completely free and if we saw a charge to call them or come in immediately.Two years have gone buy and I just found out my father has been paying for this free phone for almost two years. He said he has called multiple times and customer service is adamantly opposed to removing the charge. Even went as far as to say a rep would never have said that, essentially calling my father a liar. I know for a fact we were told it was free because we originally did not want any new phones, but were convinced this one would be free.On top of that, the Directv deal they had said we would also receive was even more hassle than it was worth. We had to call them every month to remind them we were att customers otherwise they would keep overcharging us. Eventually telling us the deal had expired.
